So just to clarify on this very busted event?
So survivors can grab food to give them to gain one of the following
- Immunity
- Heal a health state
- Teleportation
- invisible
- Baby Sprint Burst
- Haste after gen complete
Not to mention they can get a mega buff healing everyone and another insane buff (like pallets can't be broken)
Killers are able to poison just the next "morsel" and thats it. meaning 1 out of 4 survivor doesn't get their buff.
Granted you can poison gens and pallets.
So basicly survivors get insane buffs while killers get to maybe stop one buff every so often?
Like please help me understand how this is fair to killers at all and like what is the point of playing the event mode as a killer. Im guessing this is the reason why queues are instant for killers in event but still 4 minutes in standard mode.
Comments
It's not fair to be honest, I genuinely don't even feel motivated to bother playing the event this year, on survivor it's too easy, and on killer it's pain.
Tell me about it. barely any cakes spawn because they nerfed the offerings to Very Rare status and the mountain of complaints being made both the forums and reddit is being ignored with no reply from anyone other than one mod saying "we arn't aware of any issues"
The event is completely broken in terms of balance. Most events are but never to this degree of unballance.
Honestly if im gonna play DBD right now its gonna be base game because at least there we have a chance at a balanced game (although still survivors DCing against The First for some reason)
That poison isn't random like survivor abilities and it's the strongest ability out of those mentioned. It's like a stronger forced hesitation.
I heard theres a buff that makes pallets unbreakable for 60 seconds. I could only imagine the damage that could do when shack can be up.
The invincibility is also really good at body blocking hooks, had a team prevent me from hooking someone entirely by doin that.
Yeah don't think I would be playing ANY weaker during this event. If the cakes were still common tier MAYBE but this event just seems miserable to play as any non-ranged killer or killer that can just ignore some of the event aspects.
Honestly is there any wonder why killers play the Tunnel game during events when the events are like this?
the events always favored killer and they still played the worst out of it. dont make up false excuses.
and what about this event hmm?
give us a reason on how this event is killer sided
I think its amusing that the last three months have been survivors being used as a punching bag.
Now two weeks of actually having to try in their games and its 'unplayable.'
I hope BHVR doesn't cave.
as a killer main, i have to say if someone thinks this mode is unplayable…thats a lie. its playable you just have to put more effort in to get a win.
Lol ive never seen so much copium in my life mate. If you think all events are killer sided that tells me you don't play killer at all to understand what the events are like from another side. Not saying all events are survivor sided but a lot end up being because BHVR would rather favour 4 people rather than 1 in terms of fun.
I would love to know how the last 3 months have been survivors being used as punching bags. like did i miss the patch where survivor was unplayable the last 3 months?
See the issue is why should either side have to work that hard to get a win. Even if you play the event not going for the win the killer side of the event is just plain boring. its throwing a poison at a table in the hope that a surivor picks that table out of many. Where as survivors have side objective with the banquet and fun buffs to play with. I don't think it would be bad to have it more one sided than the other IF the event was actually fun for both sides
Show me which events were survivor sided. I am curious.
20 pallets to slytherin
There was the first winter event with the snowmen and maybe 2024 halloween event. All others have been pretty favored towards the killer.
Current event
Every masquerade event
Bloodhunt event mode
2v8
Halloween event
I don't really care if something is one sided or another it's about if the event is fun for both sides which this one isn't.
Who's the power role? the monster or the 4 "victims"
Or people need a reminder what happened to the last game where the power role was getting bullied all the game? how that game ended up?
10th anniversary and this is the 'terror' bhvr thinks killers should put on survivors I guess it's the other way around this year. In bhvr fashion they had a good event with interesting announcements just to fumble all the way back with the cakes and the constant reminder that there's a "bp economy" and an event where the "victims" have cheats and the monster just throws bottled farts on them that maybe slow them..
Thats really funny.
Masquerade events werent survivor sided at all. Just recall remote everything last masquerade for killers. That alone already invalidates your take.
Bloodhunt isnt even an event to begin with, cause there is nothing extra added besides BP-multiplier. How can this be survivor sided?
2vs8 would have needed to be survivorsided, to even make this mode work. But it wasnt that often.
Esp. Halloween you can just make a forum search and you will find dozens of threads mentioning how unfair for survivor this was by times. Here again just take a look again at last year.
Regardless of anything there is no denying this event is insanely survivor sided. Only people saying it isn't is the hardcore survivors who never play killer lol. Even the top streamers of the game and the actual DBD Creators are slating this event. Its just a 100% Flop of an event and kinda sets the tone for the next 10 years of the game lol
Also Bloodhunt this year had its own event with the fuel canisters and such. so yeah that was just very unfair to killers as it was to easy to complete the gens as survivors
idk i see people say killer is easy during this mode, or you have to try to win and im going to be honest if you say this, you’re not a killer main, heck you probably don’t even play both sides.
This event atleast for me in my mmr a mode where i just get absolutely screwed by body blocking and group wide heals. Atleast half my matches have 1 person dedicated to the dinner table for heals while the others gen rush and/or bully.
It usually goes 1 person on the table, 1 person on gens and the other two prevent me from doing anything about the other too because if i down the person on gens and try to hook the other two take hits, body block and sabo. In which case the person i was trying to hook wiggles free and while im in the stun animation the person drops the fourth plate and all 3 of the others get healed in full. Or i go for the glorified waiter and the person on gens becomes the new waiter.
Either way the result is the same even if i manage to down them that free group heal is the bane of my existence.
If anyone just says “killer main whining” look at my post history, i’m usually accused of being a survivor main. Even though i’m a 50/50 soloq player. Especially now with play while you wait im more 50/50 than ever.
This event is so survivor sided i feel like from atleast my experience this is a hey killer go sit in the corner while we farm bp mode than anything. The majority of my matches during the event have been like this and i’m a player who has a kill rate higher than 60% with my mains being 78% and up without needing to tunnel camp or slug.
it's been 10 years, we've had metas where DS and adrenaline won endgame easily.
I don't think a single event with the highest concurrent player count is going to "Kill" the game.
If anything both queues are quick rn for once… LMAO
Killer queue in standard is like 7 - 8 minutes long. wouldn't say thats quick lol
Nah nah nah. Not "regardless of anything". You made up some false accusations. Thats just not fine. And those people are still pointing out that playing killer isnt unbearable. So at least recite those discussions properly.
Also Bloodhunt is still no event. You mean Blood Moon Event. Quite the difference. So if you want to argue, inform yourself before posting false contents.
Oh yeah just killer gotta put in 250% the effort while Survivors get everything handed to them
Remind me, how exactly did the last two blood moons favor killer?
depends on the region rn, peak time it's quite fast I've found
and if its long it means killer isn't as unappealing as people make out here lol
Idk your post reads as someone who is pretending to be a killer main and maybe plays a killer match every now and again. Even as a 50/50 player who has a pretty high kill rate even amongst killers i don’t main and over 9k hours in the game. This mode is uber busted in survivor favor and not worth loading up for as killer.
Did you even play last Blood Moon? Ever heard of the regression-dilemma? I guess not.
If survivors just got a random ability id agree, however they get to heal a health state, get the buff from eating the cakes whilst also getting a huge buff for setting the table that lasts 60s.
All this whilst the poison gets neutralised after an m1/loss of health state, and you have to make a direct hit for it to apply (its a pretty small hitbox).
Certainly not as strong as extra pallets/infinite sprint burst or invisibility/invincibility and healing a health state
Yeah, I've played every event for years now. There was no dilemma. Players could crank out blood gens very quickly and since they don't have to stay in place, the killer would struggle to find them as they were doing them.
Either you didnt play the last Blood Moon or you just didnt understand how it worked. Just run the regression builds and noone could crank out anything.
Sounds to me like you didn't play it because those blood gens went by in a heartbeat. Here's a tip for you, you're supposed to fill up on blood at a gas pump and then pour that into the blood gen. That whole process not only goes by very quickly, it also ensures that the killer will struggle to find you because you're always moving. Figured you might not know that given just how mistaken you are about the event.
Actually big killer ques in standard over event means that more people are opting to play standard right now for killer instead of event and more survivors are wanting to play event than standard.
So i will say i went back to the event mode and i found a 90% way to win every game. Be the sterotypical killer that all entitled survivor mains thinks you are. You tunnel one person and the team throws lol. I'm now averaging 3 - 4k often 3k with hatch which we all know counts as a 4k anyway XD.
(removed and repost)
Blood hunt/blood moon its all the same thing mate. Your splitting hairs to try and win an unwinable arguement. You will never win the argument trying to deny that this event is anything but survivor sided as the forums blew up saying it, All top 10k hour streams are saying it. If you actually played killer once in a while you would understand but from all your comments its very clear that you don't.
it's strong but in the most unfun braindead way ever. If you get hit by it you will get injured or downed most likely.
Funny how some people think they will secceed in dennying that this event is super survivor sided like all the effects are more powerfull for survivors and only thing killer has is poison but that only works on some killers like m1 killers which cant injure a lot like legion wont get much from it when survivors have cakes that give them invincibility, sprintburst, invinsibility and then can rubuild pallets and make infinites, get global adrenalin etc.
Poison is good on oshot killers like bubba or ones that can injure very fast but still not so much compare to survivor buffs.
I dont know why you spread obvious false informations? Blood Moon is a yearly event in dbd, while Blood Hunt is a BP-modifier that occurs whenever bhvrs wants to. The rest of your post is just laying words in my mouth, cause I never denied that the 10th is survivor-sided. What do you gain from accusing me of things ive clearly never stated?
nah, you made clear, you didnt play the Blood Moon this year. There is no dyning that with the regression builds it was not as easy as you want to make it look like. You do understand that regression like ruin worked on those gens, right? Right? I dont understand why people here always try to defend something with false informations.
Not sure how its false information. So i called it blood hunt when its blood moon. everyone would know what i mean but you seem to want to make this into a big thing that i called it the wrong thing.
No one is defending anything that is false. Regression did not win you games in blood moon event guarenteed. You speak as if it was busted event because regression perks are a thing failing to even understand the points being made that there is no way to track survivors as they are walking around the map with cans, 5 second fill up then back to walking around the map. Regardless of the amount of regression perks you bring that event just enabled stealth gameplay and made it incredibly hard for killers.
You wrote yourself, thats its the same. Thats obviously false information. Why do you try to badmouth me instead of accepting that you are wrong?
At no point has he badmouthed you or intentionally spread misinformation. You do not have the moral high ground.
Oh yeah. Definitely.
How many killer games have you played in this event so far? Zero or less?
Lol your just funny at this point XD
Yamalive please see quoted post :)
Well if all the top 10k hour streams are saying it I guess it's time to shut our brains off and let our opinions and thinking be outsourced to some parasocial randos, huh?
Yes, survivors got more toys and things to do in this event. Historically, anniversary events have been very killer sided so I can at least recognize that it's nice survivors got some love this time around. It's not like every survivor team can just stumble and fall into a win though. Playing killer, I've had a handful of very frustrating matches against teams that played very coordinated and took full advantage of the event's mechanics but by and large those aren't the matches that are happening. I've had my but handed to me as a solo queue survivor plenty of times and have 4k or 3k + hatch as killer plenty of times. I got a 4k with hag yesterday - hag!
If you really want to faceroll your way to victory, use the poisons and play Bubba. I have yet to lose a single match where I ran that. I just switch to other killers because eventually it starts feeling cheap not having to try.
killers when the anniversary doesn't give them an ability to instakill 4 survivors: ( •̀ - •́ )
Lmao, you still find a way to complain about killers even in an event that gives survivors superpowers.
Are you talking about Dead by Daylight, THE game with actual superpowers? The killers with undeniable superpowers as part of the gameplay? I am not complaining at all, I REALLY LOVE THE EVENT, AND WANT TO THANK THE DEVS AGAIN FOR THIS INCREDIBLE ANNIVERSARY!!!
