I'll take anything I can get. Thanks, BHVR! Appreciate it.
If accessibility is the name of the game, then it's interesting how survivors who are deaf just still get wrecked by Spirit. It's a shame because I think Spirit is about the most fair and balanced "top tier" killer, if we can still call her that.
Tbh if you are deaf you will get wrecked with anything that has no terror radius so its not just spirit like any oblivous or stealth power that has no lullaby so people that are deaf dont see tr indicator and they get wrecked by even oblivious billy that canceled his saw sprint just behind the wall near them.
Cant even imagine how terrible it is to be deaf and play DBD honestly, like unless it has terror radius indicator you have no clue where will killer apear unless its super open map.

Ok but even with specific settings this will still probably kill flicks for controller.
That killer wasnt created for majority of controller players only for the ones that are super good with controller but she is viable mostly on MK because of flicks.
Simular to trickster, xeno but she is way harder i would bet she will be number 1 hardest killer for people using controller.

There is counter victor, you dodge him then you kick him, it's that simple
Good way is sometimes play with one survivor and hold togeather so you can heal or when one of you gets downed then other kicks victor and picks the downed one up but ofcourse this is more viable for swf because positioning and having some distence from charlotte is must but its viable.
Fact is twins are super rare and most of them are either mains or people hust trying them out and these suck but mains usualy dont.

@Royval said:
whenever I play against twins it’s an horrible experience. Slug, slug, slug camp no counter to victor in most maps. Gut the killer please.
So you face killers who has great chase power but kinda cant get to downs across the map so its basicaly slugging killer and you wonder why its so bad to paly against them?
First thing if you dislike slugging that much and face it often just pick one perk as some antislug one that will help you deal with it, trust me its worth it.
Second its twins desing that just likes onis is that their power works good only as slugging one (with oni you get less but you basicaly are forced to do as much damage as possible or blood stops flowing and you are basic m1 killer but thats for oni). Twins usualy have victor far from charlotte and picking up survivor is not always possible because its like 15-20 seconds of time for charlotte to get there plus that survivor can get picked or crawl away and make it even worse for the killer so they slug, easy understanding so problem isnt in people playing them but in that killers core desing.

I barely face any cheaters, they are not that common and they do get banned don't act like they do nothing
Mybe you but others have probably different experience.
You mentioned they get banned but these are all in cheaters that are easy to spot, this game has bigger problem with subtle ones that are cheating but they do it so its hardcore to spot it and usualy no one spots their cheats mid chaos of the match these are problem or they are subtle and play with friends making them almost unbaneable because its all upon the killer to spot them but I doubt they every killer spots it and even then its takes longer for them to get banned when only one player reports them in few matches.
I have seen like 5-6 cheaters mainly in 2v8 like 4 of them were playing billy with no turn radius on chainsaw (easy to spot and obvious) and few survivors teleporting so 2v8 lasted like 6 days thats not small number tbh and I did to all ingame report and got massage actions has been taken only two times so 4 of them slip and are probably still out maybe.

Should've made it 40% and just removed hindered from it so it doesn't affect Freddy and Clown. Everything else was fine I'd say.
Thats solid but you expect too much from devs because after many years of dilema they finally came to conclusion that nowhere to hide problem isnt in its reveal range but in fact that that aura reveal area travels with killers position (character model) and doesnt stand on gen which makes it so good.
And there is tens of things like this. I believe aura reveals from genkick in 2v8 stay on gen because I newer did got reveal with it when I moved away from gen as I get with nowhere to hide and just look how long knight and 2v8 mode are in the game I think they arent new arent they.

Would just show the average maturity of Killer Mains.
And well, if you start mass-slugging streamers, you will receive Anti-Slugging changes pretty quickly. BHVR takes the advertisement via Streamers seriously, if all you can see on Twitch is that you just lie on the ground in DBD, you will not attract new players and BHVR will solve it.
So on that note… slug all you want, lol.
They mostly do what they want (devs) so maybe they will overreact as you say or they will stay idle who knows.
Like who asked for pallet density?? We got +10 or so on every map and then -15 plus shorter less safe loops and no one asked for any of these which just shows they do what they want clearly. Only time they listened some creators was skullmerchant nerf that comes to my mind.
All we know now (kinda from ptb) is that judgement will be pain in butt to paly as like extreamly hard killer (probably more harder then billy because atleast billy as 4,6 speed and can play more simply too and cant just use saw all the time to get results) with extream punishments when missplaying/missing with her. Already now she is like viable for like half of the community meaning big part of palyer base cant play her at useable level against simulary skilled opponents (mmr) because she is hard and closer you are with her she sucks more and now her range option is nerfed too so its just medium spam beam killer in my opinion or you can try hit range long shots but if survivors dont sleap and watch their surroundings they will easily doge pillar beam that has smaller hitbox then huntresses hatchets or you can go close chase and you will have to look away from survivior and hope you get thair position right and get that hit or you loose distance.
Gold playing slinger, billy, vecna (the first) they are atleast simple.
She can bypass ds and other strong meta perks plus saves true but also wont satck well with many top regression perks so its slowdown/endgame build plus aura read.

Yeah this happens to me all the time. Once they break line of sight, survivors end up halfway across the map. It’s sad and pathetic that some players need to do this to win.
Tbh its even more frustrating when they reach pallet or window they normaly wouldnt without cheats.
Thats for me more obnoxious to go against then when they go across the map or get sprintburst distance in few seconds without having SB or already used it thats more obvious and relaxes my mind knowing I face cheating plebs but these few% behind corners that make them reach things normal survivors wouldnt thats real mind breaker and more frustrating to go against.
Atleast for me.

I haven’t seen more than usual. But that just means I’ve seen the normal amount of cheaters which is sadly pretty frequent. BHVR’s anti-cheat system is useless and their reporting system is incredibly cumbersome, so it’s no surprise that cheaters continue to run rampant.
Worst part is some good subtle who is like sometimes speeding behind cors with few % of haste and haste like 10-20% faster repair or healing speed plus runs walls can play for very very long time if he is cautios which is nutts to think about it but they exist and are incrediably hard to spot them like these subtles can be in many of your games and you didnt have even clue they were cheating.
-
In 2v8 I have met some on steam accounts.
Lot of them abused billy in 2v8 with having no limited turn rate for chainsaw sprint, billy has no limit for 1 second then he cant turn sharply but these cheaters were easy to spot.
Then some casual like teleporting or speeding.
For now this game heavily favors cheaters and more punishes players by having their experience ruined with just few dc but then getting time penalty and report system that works more like voting count (more people report someone with same specific cheats like “cheating, speeding” the higher chance they will get banned faster but that mostly works on killer bots or flying survivors then subtle speeders).
Not to mention some cheaters play in groups so there isnt many players to report them fast in first place.

Totally Irrelevant by the way. I am not talking about whether Plague is "Strong" or not. Vigil has a low escape rate, its already below the 40% aim, I am talking about the fact that The Plague is allowed to exist despite totally nullifying an entire element of the survivors gameplay, not make it weaker, but totally destroy it. Vigil does not do this to the Clown, it does not do this to Freddy, there are four survivors, if you are having trouble catching someone with vigil then chase literally anyone else.
"Tbh as double standart you can take fact that two survivors can double a gen but killer cant team on survivor at this point. Its mainly asymetrical game where one part is bit stronger then other so it cant be symetricsl in gameplay by 100% just dwight cant take down 1v1 mayers like base skin fotnite character can omniman."
This doesn't even make any sense, at least not in english if you think Vigil is making a survivor anything like a 1 to 1 with a killer you're just Delusional.
Not vigil but you said plague is not fair because she is huge double standart so compare that part you marked from mx post with it :) .
From where you have stats that vigil is trash and people die with it a lot??????
A nightlight maybe? Not worst info site but I dont think its that bad because when I see vigil is with SB or lithe newer alone but always with meta exhaustion perk which dont make it bad.
Reason they nerf it is same as eruption from gen kick era it just works very well with certain meta perks and makes them way better then they should be.
If you think its not double standart that survivors can double a gen or triple it ( multiple survivors doing one gen at the same time) and killer cant double a survivor in chase isnt double standart then you are kinda hypocritical (kinda joke but theres some sence in it, even when I didnt wrote it right like oxford professor).

Actually think Wraith is one of the most balanced killers. If Your specifically talking about coxcombed clapper then it is a bit on the strong side but I don't even run it I prefer faster uncloak, speed.
He is with his meta addons such as high tier faster action (breaking and vaulting) speed or his faster uncloak speed or his faster movement speed while cloaked addons.
Without them be is bum, thats why majority of wraith players run them because without these his power is just good at closing distance and mainly mobility tool but he is then m1 bum. These addons make him more versitile with his power mainly in chase and with getting hits like faster speed actions make chase shorter by breaking stuf faster anf making his catch up better, his cloaked movement speed makes bodyblocking better which helps him cut survivor off safety and get hits and his faster uncloak time helps him a lot in getting hits where he wouldnt get them normaly.
Wraith without good addons is bad, so making some these meta addons weaker and giving some of their % to his kit would help also Idk why he has like 3 addons for one thing like shorter uncloak speed.

this is, again, a double standard. Plagues existence ruins every healing perk in the game, and every single medkit or altruism build. and that is an across the board thing, every survivor ever who is running a heal build into plague is borderline perkless just for playing the game, people aren't picking vigil queuing up expecting a freddy or a clown, but guess what? Across the board nerf because theres a chance that it MIGHT be a clown and this perk counters him. that's why its a double standard. Plague is rare to see and so is Freddy VS Vigil or Clown VS Vigil. Clown and Freddy are already rare to see regardless. the Exhaustion perks are commonplace because they are the line of perks that have the most real and tangible effects against the killers, and people like when their perks do something instead of situational/rng nonsense when they are trying to win. there is enough RNG in the game already by the way, survivors have to deal with it on just about everything. killers can deal with it on some things too it will be fine.
Ghostfaces power isn't even affected by Vigil, by the way.
Was Vigil a strong perk? yes, but thats because DBD is balancing perks as "strong" based on whether or not they have a consistent impact, which is absolutely crazy. why would I want to use perks that DONT have a consistent impact?Plague is double edged sword at one side you cant heal but on other side she has no power and is super tall m1 who leaves smoke behind her so she is easier to see and read when looping plus people rin on gens due to fact they cant heal.
Only thing that keeps her strong are two main things first is soloq teammates that are unorganised and give her power/red puke fontain in very reacheable place and second are very strong addons that mainly make her that high tier killer. She is rare while she is very strong with good addons and effective against low skilled players but at average she isnt that problematic.
Vigil not only screws few powers but makes meta perks nearly one time stronger like sprintburst, lithe, cages perk that gives you haste on command too.
Tbh as double standart you can take fact that two survivors can double a gen but killer cant team on survivor at this point. Its mainly asymetrical game where one part is bit stronger then other so it cant be symetricsl in gameplay by 100% just dwight cant take down 1v1 mayers like base skin fotnite character can omniman.
Edit: perks wont be all good just because some do things that hive you more time or second chance which will be always better then some perks that help survivo open chest faster or killer to to see chests and droped items

Vigil doesn't affect ghostface's power at all, since the expose from ghostface isn't a status effect whose duration is reduced by time on the right side of the screen. So when you don't even know that basic fact, please stop showing your game understanding to everyone. It's hilarious.
Still effects hinder which are main freddys and clowns chase tools how to get downs plus its makes meta exhaustion perks way stronger by making their exhaustion effect almost half of what they should have.
Its hilerious people like you still blindly deffend broken stuff. Vigil needed some change thats a fact.

To be clear, I am not making a case that Lightborn needs to, or should go away. I am saying it is a double standard, because it affects a relatively large portion of Survivor gameplay including perks which they would have no way of knowing were a waste of a perk slot before a match. Vigil and Lightborn are effectively the same in this regard. I think it's ridiculous to Gut Vigil at all, Its just as absurd as gutting Lightborn. because A perk SHOULD have an impact, that's a large problem with survivor perks. Most of the perks that do have impact are rendered effectively dead because all of the sudden "thats OP".
I get the notion that Survivor Perks are supposed to be weaker than killer perks for the obvious reason that theres a 4v1 scenario and if you give survivors too much you defeated the point of them having the short end of the stick from the outset which is… kind of the point of the game, that a killer should be threatening. However, if Behaviour want's to rectify the disparity of perks one major step that hasn't been addressed in earnest is that the game outright encourages people to play for themselves. A lot of survivors definitely go out of their way to help teammates, and a lot of them don't either. but the DBD "Goals" are "Escape at all costs" or "Kill at All Costs" which I think are poorly forced narratives that encourage the game to be too linear anyway but that's a different topic; The point is that Survivors need perks that are impactful because in the current state of the game they cannot Trust their teammates to be playing as a team.
That leaves one problem wide open: SWFs, anything you can buff for Solo Queue is by extension abused by SWFs. IMO this is more of a case of making too many perks the exception rather than the rule. what I mean is that "useful" perks are in such short supply that its like oh boy here comes the full bully build SWF team and they're going to be running XYZ but XYZ are three repeatedly occuring perks largely because most other viable perks get gutted one by one and unviable perks are never really made viable again. that problem extends to killer also btw. there's a reason we see so many of the same perks for killer, it is because there's an excess of horribly unusable perks.
TLDR: What I am saying is perks SHOULD influence the game in noticeable ways, this is exactly why antitunnel and exhaustion perks are always at the front as are Slowdown Perks like Pain Res… people aren't provided much freedom of expression in builds because there's not very many viable builds at the top of gameplay. If I am playing killer and I put on perks, I want them to actually visibly do something, If I am playing survivor and I put on perks, I want them to actually visibly do something. there are far too many perks that "may or may not" effect the game. thats bad design, most every perk should be meaningful rather than most every perk being niche and a select set being meaningful and the design flaw I am trying to highlight is that they should not be taking away perks that make a difference because other ones do not, they should be figuring out how to make the other perks make more of a difference.Lightborn mostly effects items use (flashbank is item from perk) by removing killer being able to see items in lobby you now make lightborn more fair because its now more rng then compare current state where people slap it on when they see multiple flashlights in lobby.
Vigil needed some nerfs for two main reasons first it can higly effect negatively some effects from certain killers powers not to mention addons but main problem is that even core effect from these killers powers are effected like exposed from ghostface or hinder from clown and freddy which arent best killers mostly on weaker side or their main strenght is in one certain part like chase for clown which vigil effects higly.
Second thing is it makes exhaustion perks way more viable which are already one of best perks in entire game survivors can have except like few of them such as balaced landing (strong perk but depends on map having accesiable highgtounds to fall from which many dont have or have few which limits its power compare to other perk like lithe where its requirement is very easy), smash hit because stunning isnt so easy easpecialy against some killers like ones with range power like nemi, xeno, huntress, jason. The backgroud player is not so bad because you dont need vigil due to it having lov exhaustion cooldown and being used for saves not it chase or to prevent chase so this perk after its nerfs is ok I would say.
Vigil does a lot for just having one perk while lightborn is problem because of the lobby thing which devs diddnt spot and fixed in these 10 years because without killer being able to see items this perk is fine.
Vigil needed some changes/nerfs it did lot of things which mostly screwed all killers that werent top tier with very strong ability to catch up. Mostly used with sprintburst it made these exhaustion meta perks way stronger then they should be like having to wait 40 seconds or 24 is big difference especialy when is meta perk dont you think.

this is like the main function of survivor counterplay by the way, and it voids perks like Blast Mine and Flashbang as well. insane raging double standard to act like preventing flashlights or any form of blinding is "just one small thing" while taking a bit of the edge off of lingering negative effects is an insanely game changing and in a tier of its own problem wise. Survivors don't get to see what killer they are facing before a match, killers do. they can throw on lightborn when they see flashlights and it throws peoples whole gameplan out the window, survivors can run vigil and guess… it might not even affect the killer they are facing at all, lightborn affects 100% of survivors all of the time.
Blastmine only removes the bliding effect but the stun is still there when killer has lightborn so unless you screw up moving in his FOV while he is stunned the blastmine doesnt get countered by lightborn, remember it.
Survivor main counterplay is to dont get caught easily and do their objective (the gens, getleman), blinding sabboing and pallet stunning just saving in general is option how to fight back but not main counterplay. Thats like saying killers main objective is to hit and run or tunnel (because it realy isnt these are just options same as saves).
LIghtborn at this state doesnt need nerf just one thing needs to happen so you dont get it so often and thats so killers cant see survivors equiped items in lobby.
If that happens then many lightborn users will stop existing because I believe like half of them just use it becuase they see flashlight or few of them in lobby or full lobby so they equip lightborn as answer (counter).
In majority of matches lightborn is waste of perk slot that doesnt do anything and many pick it just because of what they see in their lobby if they couldnt see survivors items they wouldnt equip lightborn, then there are lightborn ejoyers that wont put it away becaue they either love it or have pts from their time as beginers because they got bullyed by flashlights but these are very small minority.

"Lightborn counters a single item" and perks.
You answered it yourself. it's the same reason. It counteres flashlights and flashbangs plus only blind from blastmine not the stun duration and firecrackers.
What did old vigil countered (it still does right now)?
All negative effects giving survivor any "hinder" so statuses like exposed, hinder, blindness, olbivious,Hemorrhage, mangled and ofcourse exhauste which is negative effect from most used perks in game and one of most op ones for survivor like sprintburst, lithe or DH (not nowdays is with this perk problem because its hook related but still it can be used with things like lithe or balance landing).
Vigil just totaly nerfs killers like ghostface, clown, freddy by just being in any survivor build equiped and counters many perks and addons causing status effects mentioned above.
So comparing it to lightborn thats like comparing bullet to a rocket, I know this wont be taken in account as facts because majority of vigil glazers will be running wild on forums now crying becuase their toy got nerfed but I think I mentioned enough facts why lightborn isnt near the vigil (not the ptb one) and how op vigil is and will be till ptb changes come to live game.
Main part of why vigil is being nerfed isnt that its good but that is good in almost everything and its used because of that like there isnt many survivors using sprintburst without running vigil arent they. Thats why they nerf it, lightborn is just for bully squads and newer palyers or kinda can help counter cheaters blinding you though walls but all the lightborn needs its so killers cant see survivor items in lobby and trust me like many lightborns you see will stop existing becuase I would say majority uses them when they see many flashlights in their lobby.

Because they only have a few days to change anything from PTB for Live Servers, even if there are 3 weeks between PTB and Live Release. They basically have to ship the Update to all Platforms a bit over 2 weeks in advance. This makes it hard to adjust things, so if the decision to change Nowhere to Hide to be based on the Gen Location came a few days after PTB-Launch, it was most likely already too late for them to adjust it for Live Release.
Its been late for few years I would say, especialy when in 2v8 I believe the aura reveal doesnt travel with the killer its juts in that radius around gen but finaly they got it right, right?
-
@SpyUA said:
They are going to do that later but personally I don't understand why not do it now if they are already planning on doing that
Because devs like to do another few changes that arent so good at fixing the problem then rather do ONE chnage that fixes it.
Like look at skullmerchant instead they fixed problem where gens could be dmaged to infinity by locking it to some number (now its 8, ruin doesnt count) they instead nerfed merchant sooner then fixing this and 3 gen spawns, they do it like this since 2016 where istead of choosing simple yet effective way they choose the most ridiculus one and then still after some time come to relization that they will still have to change it again classic.
@Tostapane said:
if you have troubles with that just take distortion. easy counter, you're welcome
Like all things theres always something that counters it, no wonder when we have like 100+ perks on each side.
But this post even with that hate has some logic, main problem of nowhere to hide isnt that it reveals survivors near gens but that it moves with killer so blinking nurse, tping dreadge or charging blight, billy, ghoul get way more info from it then just ghostface who kicked it but even he does get more because the aura reveal moves with that killer.
In 2v8 I believe the aura reveal doesnt move with the killer (theres same effect basekit in 2v8 but bit weaker then now live nowhere to hide) so their nerf that they will make go live (reducing reveal range I believe its from 24 meters to 18) isnt bad but doesnt fix it compleatly and they will have to again go and do another change to it which is mentioned in this main post.
Classic devs balance changing, like drunk man walking from road to sidewalk one step forward and two back and again and again.

Lightborn is fine because:
- The blinding animation on the killer side is still annoying and should be avoidable.
- Lightborn allows killers to hook more often in scenarios where they're forced to slug when 2 survivors are hovering.
- If a killer loads into a lobby of 3-4 flashlights, Lightborn gives them an option in addition to playing without it or dodging and in my opinion anything that reduces dodging is a good thing.
- Bringing a flashlight shouldn't guarantee the survivor the opportunity to blind the killer.
- If the killer brings Lightborn survivors are not held hostage, they can still play the match out. Go do a gen or choose death, you still have a choice.
- Survivors can bring 1 or no flashlights and bring the Flashbang perk for a better chance at the killer not bringing Lightborn. They can search chests and bring offerings to increase chests to find flashlights in the match.
- Survivors can still switch to flashlights last second in the lobby.
When Background Player dropped and used to be +200% haste I ran Lightborn every game for about 3 years. Now Forever Entwined takes its slot.
Yeah the og background player where one survivor pulled save from half of the map far away because killer picked survivor up, pinicle of that time.

No im saying it encouges surviours who have flashlight equipped dodge other flashlight users, like how comment i was repling to says they are dodging people who have flashlights.
End of my comment is refer to how likley for surviour to see lightborn 3-4 flashlight makes it more common to see lightborn. Vs if you there is no flashlight in lobby its rare to see lightborn in my exprenice.
Hence surviour players dodging lobbies with too many flashlight users when they also want to use one.
I know theres no many things that make it feel totaly hopeless like sable with flashlight that cant even pull save and runs around killer the whole time (doesnt need to be sable but you get the idea what I mean here). I get why people doge them because these people usualy go or theres high chance they will go for the saves only and wont do gens which people that want normal game can find annoying.
For the fact some killers equip lightborn to counter flashy squads and teams thats reasoneable but mostly because killers can still see items in lobby.

In fact, if I see someone else bringing a flashlight in the lobby, I simply dodge that lobby altogether.
I think thats another issue with lightborn it encourages lobby dodging with how current lobbies work, lobby dodging is bad and system needs to be changed if its encouraging people to do so.
But I think majority do switch based on beemers in lobby at least in my lobbies, Light born is a rarer perk to see in my lobbies but when I do see it its because multiple people have beemers in the lobby.
If 3 or more beemer it feels like the chances you are going to see lightborn go up so much more vs if they see no beemers.Who with lightborn would actualy doge 3-4 flashlights in lobby??????????????????
A mad man because thats where that perk only and actualy gets value becuase chances survivors will wanna waste time to get saves will be over the roof.
The ones that dont wanna deal with that or use lightborn or fear will probably doge but thats problem of items being seen in lobby since 2016 (in my opinion they shouldnt because they arent so op like last op things items lost were medkit two best addons nerf).
I more fear 4 BNP toolbox lobbyes then 4 flashy star wars cosplayers that most likely suck and waste time (unless its super open map like farm maps). Faster gens have only few counters like kill them faster with tunnel or slug them all but thats not so easy if they arent bad and your killer has some limitations like springtrap compare to ghoul, plus you can be good and still loose easily to gens being done super fast because they play safe and dont give you downs while others rush even top killer players like momoth are forced to slug 4 man on 1 gen or endgame sometimes.
-
Hating the game becuase of low tier perk is wild not gonna lie.
Just drop flashlight its not lightsaber and another thing not many people run it only those that fear 4 flashlight lobby or are newer and have less experience in how to deal with flashlights.
Thats like me hating the game because boon: exponential exist lol.

Lights Out was last week, and it was the first time we've seen it in 2 years. Perhaps that brought some people back to the game and they're sticking around for 2v8 too, so there's even more folks queued up for killer than previous iterations. My theory anyway.
Nah each 2v8 the queues times on EU servers are rising, lights out was more survivor sided then 2v8 and tbh in 2v8 its very easy to escape if you get team that does gens and doesnt run around.
Kinda doesnt make sence with one thing. Who would wait so long and didnt used play while you wait option which reduces time significantly and helps you earn more bp and challange rewards for rift? I dont think that like big part of people just wait in lobby with killer for 40+ minutes and do something else like they can but its strange tbh.

When I recorded the 2 players (Ellen with Jason) in normal match who decided to hunt me down at the end, support refused to take action (waited their answer for more than a month) so, we are better off reporting cheaters rather than regular players apparently, they prefer punishing cheaters since those players just buy the game again))
Cheaters buy it for small price and are more bigger issue then some bodyblocks.
Doubt these reports do something, maybe if people report you for fun like they did to streamers and they got banned for no reason (many people dislike them so they report them) so I doubt some average joe standing infront of cage few times per week gets banned.
Subtle cheaters dont get banned unless they arent so subtle (lot of cheaters now i see in 2v8 are playing billy with no decreased turning and walls but these cheat against 8 people so their downfall is fast).

Dunno why they made the cages omni-directional yet.
Probably best solution.
Personaly my only two issues with cages are the one angle for rescue and second is hitbox of rescued survivor like I had many games I aimed for rescuing survivor and hit the uncaged one which makes tunneling more viable option and people wonder why.

Jason overall most likely he seems to be a consistent killer who is good at a lot of situations whereas Judgment is more niche with clear strengths and weaknesses. Power Consistency and versatility will always trump power ceiling but I think Judgments niche will give them longevity.
Time will have to tell, as powerful killers like First have just disappeared. I am personally excited about the Judgment but I feel people won't like a change in how killers approach kills with them
Well she doesnt hook she just snipes with her power and then sends them into the another realm, but I dont think there will be such dislike because even now she is viable on average player levev like for only smaller half of the community and many people wont even play her because of how hard she is.

I would say Huntress and Artist are.
They are strong for long distance but their main strenght is medium to close distance actualy but juddgement is good mostly for long shots and at clsoe range he sucks a lot.
Huntress needs clear shot and be very accurate for long shot or hit orbital which isnt easy, artist needs to get 2 hits and one locker can denny it compleatly, judgement injures instantly and has bit less range I believe but when empowered he is totaly more bigger threat from long distance like artist gives you another chance because she must hit her seconds hit to cause damage and huntress needs either know how to get orbital or have clear LoS which is not so consistent especialy in current stat of the game.
So in my opinion hudgement is stronger for longer distance. She is total bum in close range while artist can injure with crows directly and can totaly destroy loops with them and huntress can double tap kinda plus its easier to get hit (not to mention for very long shot thats not orbital you need either lot of skill or jsut crosshair on screen to get that hit).

Another thing is slugging is one of very few ways how to deal with sabbo squads. What will you do then when you nerf it totaly, will you delete or nerf totaly sabbo addons and perks, items?
The game got lot of stuff through 10 years and its more complex then some people thing, like giving survivors 3 more pallets because top tier killers exist is fine for top tier killers but totaly destroyes weaker ones like pig, ghostface.
Like her I know its top tier players mostly but even he must have slug to even get chance to win becaue normal hook →chase→hook→repeat isnt working here and he is top tier blight by the way and look what he had on few gens remaining? few hooks and lot of pallets still existing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP9FXmsPsLs&t=2682s -
Calling slugging stalling the game is same as calling survivor hiding stalling the game (because they arent doing their objective and stopping killer from doing his, same thing). Its strategy thats getting more popular due to how many less perks survivors run around untislug while being packed with ds,dh,shoulder and by doing it these killers totaly doge those perks and go faster to next chase and cause preasure immideatly because someone has to go pick the slug ans another is being chased down while on hooking killer much pick up which is risky because save can happen and then waste few seconds going to the hook (which can be still dennied by survivors).
So I get why some go just full slug since 5 gens, some killers are designed to be sluggers like with oni you must get as much you can from his limited power so like 2-3 slugs is top becuase blood needs to be going, or twins are totaly designed 4man slugging killer I think its because downing with victor like across the half or the whole map htere isnt point going there with 4,6 m/s speed killer and waste 15-20 seconds just to have "hope" that survivor will be there still on the ground and then waste another 5-15 seconds to get hook thats why twins slug its their desing not becuase people like it, if people liked it there would be way more twin players because they are deffinitely in top 5 strongest killers and still nobody playes them because you must mostly slug and they are cluncky which people dislike.
Now lets expect these all downvotes and no constructive arguments as its usual here.
Calling slugging stalling the game is same as calling survivor hiding stalling the game (because they arent doing their objective and stopping killer from doing his, same thing). Both sides doing it are doing their objective survvior takes killers precious time away and stays safe so its plus for hi mand his team while killer slugging creates huge preasure (its one of few ways killer can create naturaly biggest preasure without any strong perks or addons and powers) and pulls survivors from gens which gives him more time to deal with the survivors.
Killers time is very precious thing and everyone who knows little whats DBD about knows that time is big deal here, more for killer but for survivor to becuase their health states and hook stages are their time plus what they can do (loop) to stall the killer from getting them and getting their time from them thus killing them and winning. So anyone who calls it "stalling" is absurd. You can kinda tell it for 4k but whats 4k, if killer can do it then its with game rules like 99 gen with blastmine to get that stun and do the gen in killes face that kinda simular thing, time wise no but the execution is same.
Reason why most of people here are totaly absurd is because devs failed to do reasoneable antislug like survivor baing able to pickhimself up from the ground in lets say 75-90 seconds, thats reasoneable but instead they add another X strong effects on downed survivor and totaly overdone it as always and then rather scrap it because their pros tested it and it would broke the game.

One quote from Otz is a good one to apply here: S tiers like Nurse should not be the template for killer balance because you will have no way to give someone like Trapper a Dash or Teleport and justify it not killing their identity. Slaughtering Strike is a prime example of this.
If any killer imo should be the template for killer balance, let it be Wesker. He is a perfect mix of strong and fun.
I do wanna add to this saying I really hope my girl Pig can get a buff to her RBTs. It genuinely seems like every time they buff her it's always towards her Ambush special attack when her main source of pressure is her RBTs which get progressively weaker with each change.
Pig is lost case since they nerfed her hardest in 2018, let me tell you they wont buff head traps because survivors hate it its unfun for majority I believe (especialy the lower part that have no clue what to do against killers that are barely played). So they aim with ambust to be like demos or pinheads main powers and head traps to be secondary power but thing is her dash is garbage only works on loops that are super unsafe and can be easily mindgamed. She screams before she dashes or makes loud sound so everyone can avoid it.
He new change what I heard will be new chase music because thats what she needs the most.
Personaly I droped her asap after I got her achives because she is terrible just pure m1 with m2 that is worst m2 special attack in the entire game probably, her stealth is bad unless gen yo ucoming for is cowered by some walls, only thing she stands for her is slowdown from traps but becuase her chase is terrible you wont get that much of a value from them when you would need against survivors that can loop and arent bad. With pig you dont have anything unique except her traps but thats for survivors you are just m1 killer that can crouch and its bad.

That server has whole east, north, southeast and south europe on it. So its not a surprise.
Worst thing is that every other 2v8 its worse and worse, when the first one came I remember queue time to be 15 minutes or around 15, then it get to 20, then to 30 and now its 41-50 minutes.
Atleast at night time at 1v4 when theres no 2v8 I have instant queue time from few seconds to 1 minute.

@jesterkind said:
Looks about right for when 2v8 is live, unfortunately.
Except for Germany, goddamn! That's pretty rough even for 2v8.
Nothing makes evening more special then 50 minutes queue time.

They said they wanted to add killers in pairs too so I have a feeling Singularity is going to come out with Alien.
In larry I see potencial but xeno, unless they buff his crawler mode cooldown to be like 15 seconds outside tunnels he will suck due to turrets and very strong loops, better then pyramidhead maybe then nemi in chase but that all depends what they give him.

I think an on hook effect that lets you go to the furthest side of the map you're looking at wouldn't be too bad, kind of like shadow.
Just look at the wall you want to come out from and press the ability button.Would be nice but currently I think we could maybe expect more +1-2 new killers and few classes that have effects from already existing perks.

could make it a class in 2v8 that spawns portals to get to the other side of the map or something
Probably but tbh I pray they dont add stuff that was in black banquete into that for any side.

I think him having a way to traverse the map would help him so much honestly.
I would but thats rework stuff not 2v8 buff where things like another dash or iri addon or powers distance (onis blood pull or draculas tp in bat form or chuckys dash). He just has huge potencial almost nurse like (if he can hit it through walls) but that potencial from paper/idea gets hard crash on reality and thats why his only good side is chase … kinda.
Nemi has worse chase and his buffs to his main power (tenticle) didnt do much but his buffs to zombies are what makes him useable. Map preasure is key thing on big map where you have 8 survivors that run around and do gens with comeback mechanic.
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:
I've seen people do great as him, especially coz he can hit multiple survivors at once.
Sure but same can oni, wesker, dracula and they on top have better map mobility and powers plus are easier to play then m2 of the pyramidhead (slow hitbox easy to doge, requires huge prediction and precission unless survvior is locked in animation).
There not many reasons why to pick phead in 2v8 only if you are his main or want to try him because you dont have him in 1v4.
Every time I see him and other killer isnt someone super strong like oni, wesker, billy, dracula, blight, spirit, wraith Im glad becuase its in majority of my games a win against him. If the phead player doesnt land many hits with m2 then he is incompetent and other killer must carry which even killer like oni who needs hits and many injured survivors to get his power can easily be held down and rushed with gens.
He just isnt worth the hustle, not to mention on larrys I think some rooms are still slightly above the ground level of the other part of the ground level of the map so his m2 doesnt work there, unless it has been fixed but me still not seeing killers boxes with sprays when Im infected as survvior against combo of wesker+nemi just makes me believe it hasnt been fixed.
-
I wouldnt say worst but his buffs are not so huge like I thought they would give him that addon that makes his range huge but he got 1,5 meters of extra range and just his power faster recharge, duration and trails duration all parts of his power but range which is one of the most what makes him fun and important got smallest buff.
He has no map preasure becuase he lacks map mobility or slowdown like nemi with zombies, he can make saves impossible with his cages but this is not so usefull in that mode where normal caging is just little slower but relatively safe too.
All he has his shots are chase and thats it but with so hard power to land and so many strong things against him like sprint on command or super big maps he is super bad unless he hits his shots but power thats just bit stronger then draculas hellfire and is way more harder to use and then having nothing theres no wonder he sucks there.
Nemesis or slinger, huntress are way more reliable killers in that mode and pyramidhead, trapper, ghostface are just very map + teammate + survivor skill dependent killers that are easy to deal with.
Even slinger and huntress if they dont get many of their shots as hits loose easily, the big maps with ton of pallets are very demmanding on map preasure which thank god like half of the killers have there and are the best ones to pick (weakest from them are spirit and wraith).
-
Hens made bood guide vid about billy even with some techs I didnt even know about.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPUiaoLetIo -
The wesker+nemi bug is still there, Idk what others have but every time Im infected I cant see auras of chests with sprays which was same previous 2v8 but I cant believe its only my problem.
Did anyone has encountered it too?

Fr though 4 Zombies is simply to many 2 was to little 3 is the balanced option we need
Zombies are ok on such big map and are easy to deal with especialy when you are doing gen and isnt there just you then one guy can lead them away or flashlight totaly turns them off for like 20 seconds or you can use one of 80 pallets and theres class that can reset it or rebuild it even so theres plenty of tools which can help you with zombies.
Nemi got totaly worthless buffs except zombies increased numbers and their movement speed, he is slow with building up his power and chases cost him lot of time plus no mobility so other killer must carry. Plus zombies are very dump and super easy to get destroyed by rng of two of them wondering in corner of the map so their reliability is 80% worse then survivor bots.

Were we having this discussion a few years ago i would have been in full agreement. But we are 54 survivors and 44 killers deep at this point. It's easy for those of us who were fortunate to start when there was far less to tell newcomers to put in the grind. The time commitment is a heck less daunting when you've had a head start. You and I are probably prime examples of players who have everything we need unlocked yet keep playing, so would helping others catch up really hurt player retainment?
Thing is this game is at point where theres so much stuff that blocking it is kinda pointless especialy when you count with new players or want some new players.
They lately give less stuff they they did like 4 years back or 3, like on events. Still its faster to gain bp and get something for it then it was first 4 years of the game where grind meant something.

But how many orbs are remaining on the map when he gains his power? Don't the orbs remain until he powers down, and then he can collect them all over again and go right back into power?
He still needs to walk up to the orbs and colletc them and only sees them in 2v8 likke 12 meters away.
Also depends how fast he can down that makes difference in how much sauce he used from his power and also effects how fast he will charge it again.
-
Nemi was good with wesker previous 2v8 because their chest auras didnt show up so many survivors just wondered and found few sprays.
Now nemi sucks his only hope are his teammate being strong killer who will carry the game for him and he does slowdown but flashlights are strong against zombies, flashbanks are there too and class that resets/rebuilds pallets so he isnt that great with needing multiple hits to down.

I don't wanna wait 15-30+ Minutes in a queue to play a 5 Minute long match
I don't even get a Bloodpoint multiplier on the survivor side
I had now 40 so longest its ever been.

This is an asymm.
There’s 4 of the same interest, versus 1 with the other.
Unless the Killer’s choice weighs heavier, survivors will always win if they unite
What he thinks would only work if each side could vote for banning one map (1 will survivors with the one that got most votes or when all do different map then it will be random and 1 for killers vote). Like in seige banning operators/characters because as you say that means survivors ban more or if it would be just 1 map they would easily win 4 vs 1 in voting where every vote weights same isnt great thats like democracy in USSR in 1950s.

Idk where, when jadon came I had 5-6 minutes queue times, now at evening at lights out I had 7 seconds queue time basicaly under minute.
On servers Im its longer for killer in day time because many survivor players jump in game at evening especialy with friends but even then its around 5 minutes at worst so I dont seemit so tragicaly as some say.
EU servers for killers are still very good especisly at night time, the queues are basicaly instant even in not so liked events like halloween one or blank banquete where big part of player base stops playing it after few days.

Oh, lol. I got 4 downvotes for pointing out where the screenshot came from so im guessing that guy isn't well liked.
Nah thats current narrative all that matters is what people read it.
Now forum is more survivor sided with opinions so you will not get liked making statements about things being survivor sided (which in events like lights out they are).
Thats just it even more new profiles trnd to have more survivor sided opinions.
Mostly dont take it seriously because devs still font listen and dont care even people from fog whisperer program where they add odd people that are super toxic, proved liars and bullyes there are videos for it too proving this but even with that nothing changes because devs do what they want.
Like that dev in stream that 15 seconds of unhook protection is too much abuseable so they refuce it for 10 and then make it 60 in lights out you just cant make this up thats why memes like “nerf pig” or “think we did pretty good job so far” are still not thing from past, its big better but some changes are still random and even mostly no one asked for them like two versions of pallet density updates (first and second version) which made maps super survivor sided unless killer was high tier and second made maps super killer sided but pallets are still clustered till today so m1 killers arent much viable only few exeptions.
