I'm pretty sure if they could choose they wouldn't go in the trials, the Entity makes them someway.
-
Wait, wasn't it supposed to kill DbD a couple months ago?
-
As a killer your survival depends on other three guys that might be literally braindead? No.
NOED rewards you if you fail as killer, the hatch compensates for having a bad team. -
It's interesting, but it bugs me that it doesn't reflect the perk name and it's basically a free speed boost outside of chases.
Imo if the perk allowed to get tokens from all survivors until the obsession is alive it would be a lot more powerful. -
- Balanced Landing: creates new loops, makes unsafe places safe, usable on command (basically). Has the drawback of needing somewhere to fall from, but every map has at least one location (the basement stairs can be used too) and with some map knowledge and awareness it's easy to counter the drawback.
- Sprint Burst: counters stealthy killers and allows bold plays. The only drawback is that you must be careful to not waste it running around. Personally I can't stand it.
- Lithe: if it didn't rely on the chase mechanic it would be on par with BL (or better with Dance With Me and/or Q&Q).
- Dead Hard: against good killers it works only once per match, very predictable and useless against insta-downs. Also, lag can easily render this perks totally useless.
- Adrenaline: very powerful, but extremely situational. For solo survivors basically useless 99% of the times.
-
A bit off-topic, but I often use jukes I learned the hard way against good P3 Nurses (there was a period where they were a lot more common than now) , but then I face "normal" Nurses who ######### up their blinks (or don't blink when they should) and unwillingly they outjuke me.

Users in this forum don't give a fck about balance or fun of the game, they just hate the other side and try to oppose anything that might potentially please them. You couldn't say it better.
@OP just to be clear, I would love that change, I was just jokingly saying that people will complain, knowing this community
-
I can already hear the distant cries from some killers: "But survivors can farm rare items from chests! That''s unfair!"
-
Why would it be a hint about the killer? Maybe it's the survivor's nationality.
-
Nothing would ruin my immersion more than having my character stopping to take a break while a murderous psycopath is chasing him.

If the killer camps, do gens. Easy 3 escape. You're right, but that doesn't change the fact that camping is boring af and makes the game not worth playing.
-
I'm pretty sure they can talk at the campfire, otherwise it would be hard for them to teach their abilities to the others.
-
People stopping DCing or suiciding for whatever reason. Even just one kinda ruins the match for me, and with some killers that is too common (like the Doctor, which is one of my favourites).

I personally find this event the BEST one so far! The competitive nature of the lamps and your need to survive with them make you extra conscious of what you are doing and how you treat yourself while your life is on the line!I agree. I found this even quite fun with many cool situations... from cursing and regretting taking the lantern while trying to stealth as the last survivor to giggling while stealing the lamp from a hooked survivor that took it under my nose...

As for Grim Pantry. It was released alongside his crippled Chapter, but was never intended as HIS map. It was a long planned addition to the Backwater Swamp Realm of the Hag so that Granma's Cookbook wouldn't be a 100% chance for Pale Rose anymore.I'm pretty sure someone (probably MCote) said in a stream that Grim Pantry was Leatherface's map when asked about it. Wouldn't be the first time they answered a question randomly, though.
-
@PigNRun said:
Was that DLC released around the time they released Gas Heaven or Groaning Storehouse? That might explain the lack of a map.Leatherface was released with Grim Pantry and devs said consider that his own map.
-
It's a good perk, but it's extremely map-dependant. On some maps like Lery's and MacMillan it's so great it not only allows you to know where survivors are, but even where they are going, in Coldwind maps it's a wasted perk slot. All in all is a nice perk with potential to be great if devs will balance crows across the maps.
-
Have you ever played killer against immersed survivors that do nothing but hiding? It's boring af. Stealth is fun only for the survivor doing it.

If Self Care worked this way there would be no reason to use it instead of a medkit or Pharmacy, imo. Personally I think the perk is fine as it is, if anything, I would change the healing speed to 45% so it would be less efficient than to be healed by someone else. That would depend on how long they can stay alive. Sure, for bad players, this perk would be useless. They'd die before they could use it. For good players, on the other hand...
From my experience the most amount of healing in a match is when there are 4 survivors, and drops significantly at 3 (less pallets, less gens to patrol etc, so in general not being downed is rarer). At 2 or 1 healing is basically out of the equation unless in rare cases, and a medkit would still be more efficient. So I think with this change the perk would be almost literally useless.

Would not fix him at all. The traps usually spawn in horrible places in the open, and sabo is not that huge of a deal for him right now. Here are the changes i'd suggest that i think would make him viable, i mained Trapper for well over a year until recently.
Increase the hitbox slightly, survivors can literally touch it and not get trapped, its to small to trap pallets if it wasn't placed absolutely pixel perfect.
2 Traps are removed from the map and given to Trapper by default, can hold more traps by default. Bag addons spawn more traps instead.
Trapper can rearm disabled Traps while holding bear traps.
Escape RNG is now a replaced with a fixed channel, affected by perks and addons of both sides.
I totally agree with this.
I'd like to add that escaping a beartrap should have skillchecks (a bit like snapping out of it, but maybe smaller), so one of the Trapper's teachable, Unnerving Presence, would sinergize with his kit. -
100% equals getting the iridescent emblem, each percentage tells you how much each action you made contributed to the emblem.
For more info on emblems you can look here http://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Emblems -
Lol no it's not bannable. Childish and annoying, but not bannable.
As for the Hag question: they're just noobs and think more traps=better camping. You should fear more those who put just one strategic trap.
-
Why such hate for the event? I personally enjoy it, trying to be stealthy with that glow is thrilling.

I would like a buff of Pig's Ambush.Since it was adjusted to increase the distance of one round of the pallet loops(2.0.0~?), her unbush often have become ineffective on chase. Ambush's dash distance and speed should be slightly buffed.
I agree, a buff to the dash attack would be very welcome.
-
I think items are ok even though I would buff maps and keys duration to make them more useful. What I would like though is an addon rework with some more addons that change how you use the item.
-
Boring to play as: Nurse. Her gameplay is quite stagnant thanks to addons which are basically just blink more or blink further. I prefer more flexible killers.
Boring to play against: Freddy. Very little space for stealth, even less for jukes and mindgames. Against him you just run as soon as you hear the lullaby and then try to keep him buisy as much as possible because "you can run, but you can't hide". Legion is second, but at least he can be stealthed properly. -

makayla said:That one wraith addon that makes him have a terror radius while cloaked. I forgot what it's called but that addon sucks.
Not as crappy as meme limiter, splinter or shroud, but felt like it should be mentioned anyway.
It's actually a fun add on when paired with the one that suppresses your radius and red stain for 6 seconds. It mostly works on meme builds but it's still viable for a mind-gamey build. It's definitely not the worst though.
I've never tried that combo but it sounds funny. I used that addon once and the game sucked and haven't touched it since!
I still think it's not the best addon, but that's probably because it left a sour taste in my mouth
I once played against a Wraith with that build... most of the time I didn't know what the hell was going on and I kept freaking out. Maybe not the most effective, but it's fun.

I'm pretty sure that people using Prove Thyself use it mainly for the points. In any case, using it equals to repairing without it pre-buff since appearently the coop debuff wasn't working.

How exactly did the killer and downed survivor team up? I'm confused.@lasombra1979 said:
Kinda would like to know how a downed survivor aided the killer before I pass judgementSimple: the killer saved him from bleeding out and they both went looking for me.

@Master said:
So what? With the current hatch design, there is no other way to slugg.
Blame the survivor community who cried loud enough such that the devs lost their balls and sticked with the jcurrent hatch mechanic
As I said I'm not against slugging. I'm against people working with the slugged survivor to get me killed.

Wraith can't break the event lamps while cloaked....They are too laze to make a new animation for killers, they did one for survivors tho.
Killers use same atack animation, it isnt a surprise that Wraith cant atack while cloaked.
Sometimes I wonder if you guys made of complaining a job. Where have you seen the "new" survivor animation? The animation is the unhooking one.
-
Tunneling is the opposite of applying pressure, because while you're buisy with one survivor the others (if they're smart) will just rush the gens.
Do it to get better at chases (especially if the survivor is good) but then consider that being killer is not just blindly chasing someone, so learn also when it's time to drop a chase and protect gens. -

I had a game against a Myers earlier and he seemed to stalk just fine and that was on on Autohaven Lodge too.I'm not saying you can't stalk anymore, but it seems to be harder in general and wastes more time than before. That said, it could just be an impression of mine, as I said I don't play Myers since a while.

Nurse/Feng... not very fitting but it was a well made and fun quiz, good job
whats wrong with feng?
I was talking about the description. I actually like Feng even if I'm a Nea/Jake main.
-
The Spirit is designed around not being able to see survivors and using mindgames, because her power is so good and needs this downside. So no, that would just remove the only thing that makes the Spirit balanced.
-
If we're talking about forums, it really depends. If you say something killer mains don't like you're a survivor main, viceversa you're a killer main if you say something survivor mains don't like. In any case you suck at X role and need to git gud.
Outside of forums you're a smart person that understands with only one role there would be no game.
-
The game would last not more than 2 minutes, not really fun as survivor if you know you can't survive and as killer it would feel as ultra-easy mode (=boring)
-
I'm not sure it's possible the way you explained because they would need to change how the buff is calculated (usually they are multiplicative), but sure it would be a welcome change to make the perk not a joke anymore.
-
Nurse/Feng... not very fitting but it was a well made and fun quiz, good job

-
Honestly if Legion didnt have Unrelenting 9000 in his kit and was punished for missed hits it wouldn't be that bad to play against.
-
That problem with that perk is that combined with sabotage it's hell for the killer. Once I was experimenting with it and I bullied a Wraith with Agitation 3 who couldn't hook me for more than 3 minutes (I was the last survivor). Got enough survival points from wiggling free that I didn't even care anymore about surviving.
-
@Peasant said:
Most of the killers have a 110% move speed which will make them slower than their faster counterparts, this will, in turn, negate the bonus speed of Agitation. What do you mean? Carrying speed is the same accross all killers, so if you aim to go around with Agitation the base ms doesn't really matter.
-
I must say this is the first time I see this suggestion made right. I like how you thought well about the survivors personalities and abilities.
The only thing I would change is Nea's reduction of fall stuns... this often can open new loop possibilities and that's what makes Balanced Landing so good, giving it to her would give her a huge advantage in chases compared to other survivors. Personally I would change it to reduce the falling sound, which fits with her being sneaky and is more stealth-oriented.
Also Kate's passive is basically Boil Over tier 2, I think it should be toned down a bit. -
Oh yes, a perk that reduces footsteps sounds (and maybe even fall sounds) would be awesome.
-
As others said the problem is not with with BPs in general but with the growing amount of perks that makes obtaining them a grind-hell. At level 50 you need about 180k to get a tier 3 perk. That's kind of crazy.
-
How can I tell the crouching Claudette to work on the goddamn gen then?
-
This thread should explain clearly why that won't likely happen:
