Felt this. I know it's only been out for a few days and is still trying to find stability, but right now it has brought out the extremes to both sides, and it's really unfun to play either side right now. I've had matches where I try to be chill and get rewarded with a big fat loss in less than a few minutes.
-
I'm just saying, the game is way more enjoyable without it. I used to play on Switch before moving to PC, and I miss it not being there.
-
I don't know what boon totems intend to do, but I really don't want killers having more pressure put on them more than they already do. Killer is stressful enough as it is, and for survivors nearly every match feels like actual war.
-
I've always adored Hawkins (although my friends cannot say the same) for how it changes playstyles. It was one of my favorite maps to play on as Ghostface, scoochin round the halls, and Jumpscare Myers.
Having an entire map is an effect everyone is going to feel, especially when maps get disabled for whatever reason. That's an entire realm that won't be there and will really force limited map selection (especially when multiple maps are disabled, such as now).
I hope any licensing issues can be worked out in the future, because new players (who could possibly be Stranger Things fans) may come to the game after seeing videos of playing as these characters after the end date, and then find out that they are ultimately beyond their reach, and that's pretty cruel.

Celebrated getting out of the military, prepping for college on the 23rd, and taking today to sit at the beach and absorb some sun before summer ends. All in all a good weekend for me. <3

I wish they had done something more with Nemesis. His ability is nice, but feels akin to PH with a tier up system. The zombies are a nest addition, but in the long run are so RNG dependant that they don't really do much if the survivors know where they are.
Jill and Chris has ve always been favorites of mine since I was introduced to them in the original RE game as a kid, but I'm disappointed with how they didn't even give her her OG STARS outfit, and Chris looks nothing like he did in the promo trailer (seriously please fix his eyes, they are way too close together).
The map is gorgeous and you can really tell how lovingly recreated it was, but as others have said, I it would have been far better to have it been split into two separate maps (with the main hall acting like an anchor). I feel it would be way easier to learn the loops and gen/totem spawns, and would promote more interactivity than spending the entire match just trying to find your way around.
Am I happy with the chapter? No, but I am happy it's been included in the game. I hope they revisit the map and Nemesis' powers in the future for some tuning.

I can agree with you. On both sides, afk killers are just as boring.
Like why ready up if you're not going to play?
I actually had a match with a Wraith on RPD earlier. Granted it's huge, but he just hid in basement all game, and stealth killers excel on that map.

I had Midwich four games in a row. I'm getting pretty good at looping it now

When you're at a loop stand underneath the pallet and throw both bottles at the survivor's side of the loop. Throw the Afterpiece directly at the survivor, then throw the antidote ahead of them. Finally, walk around the loop forcing the survivor into the antidote.
You're gonna want
- A waist high loop so you can see the survivor, if you can see them they're less likely to run away while you're setting up.
- The addon "Starling Feather" this addon decreases the cooldown of your bottle throws allowing you to throw bottles rapidly.
- You can also use the addon "Spirit of Hartshorn" this addon increases the size of the antidote gas area.
Consider using an Autohaven offering, that realm is like 90% waist high loops.
A wider gas area and faster throws sound good. I'm honestly just starting out as Clown, and currently got him to level 10, so I'm still figuring it out as I go
-
@Warcrafter4 said:
The only way I can see it happening is if you throw the slow gas at slightly ahead a pallet survivors are being forced through.
Then throw the yellow gas on the other side of the pallet.
The survivor is forced through both gases.
That being said good luck setting that up.
It's been a total nightmare so far, but I'll see if I can get this set up going. Thank you for the advice!

Have you seen Susie's cosmetics?
Also I just really enjoy booping survivors with the stabby stab.
Edit: Typo
-
I will agree it becomes a bit much, especially if you have a PWYF Wraith using them to be cracked out on speed. It doesn't take long for him to catch up to a survivor attemtping to escape nowadays, and if you go for an all chase build of Bamboozle/Enduring/Spirit Fury he can become a very oppressive killer, especially on indoor maps.
-
Oh Lawdt, Spennywise comin'.
-
Solo is honestly just awful. I rarely survive, alongside my teammates I had a game against a Blight where I was apparently the only one doing gens, and everyone else was super immersed. I go down right next to a hook, and suddenly everyone is trying to be overly altruistic, taking hits and going down when the hook is five feet from me and he had Iron Grasp.
-
For me it's Twins, Hag, Plague, and Oni. I almost never run into these killers, but when I do, I do my best to enjoy their company.
-
Honestly if I see the killer I just quickly put my item down in a spot I'll remember. Getting chased without an item in hand means that's one less perk the Killer can use against me.
Also I tend to run Plunderer's, so losing an item is usually no skin off my nose.
-
Honest to Entity would love to play more bot matches. At least the bots are reliable
-
I adore Oni, especially with Lethal Pursuer on him to really help my early game. I enjoy roaring and going zoom with him around the map
-
Because they want to play a game
-
Coldwind is honestly my favorite realm, but have no fear! The Game's chances are now DOUBLED for Saw Week!
-
I'm a Felix main, but I've def picked up on Jake and Nea since their rework. I think they look much better now
-
I just had this happen to me and a friend of mine. It's a Steam issue
-
I haven't even been able to really learn the map yet (only been on it once or twice), so I can say I honestly have no idea where you even spawned.
-
Honestly I love meming, both as survivor and killer, usually just for the sake of my mental health with how comp players can be and how nasty some are in end chat. Gotta have fun and relax every once in a while, because it's still a game meant to be enjoyed

That's partly what gave me the idea actually. I don't play clown but id secretly want to get pallet stunned occasionally 😅
I would def appreciate stuns more. It's also be fun if his shoes squeaked when kicking something or vaulting a window

Correct. You gain tokens from hitting the Obsession, but they are immune from the effects of Remember Me. They ideally need to be dead before the gates are powered.
Oki, I was wondering if it could pair with Dying Light, but from the sounds of it they'd be actively working against each other
Edit: Typo
-
I'm all for silly noises when the Clown is stunned. It's why I love the anniversary flashlights so much, I love the sound effect when it blinds.

This was a pretty niche scenario where it completely doomed 3 survivors that left it way too late to attempt trying to open a gate due to prioritising too much altruism.
That said it definitely dooms the last survivor if the hatch is closed on them. It’s a very strong perk now, and buys a LOT of extra time at endgame, especially with Remember Me. I don’t stress about gen rushers now.
I'd def run it to be stress free from gens alone. I'm a bit tired of sweating to contest gens when the chase is what's fun for me.
Just to clarify, I've never personally run Remember Me. It only works for non Obsession survivors, yeah?
-
I main the following:
Ghostface for meming
Doctor for chaotic fun
Oni to go Choo Choo
Currently learning Pyramid Head for those behind the wall shots
-
I haven't play tested it myself, but this sounds pretty brilliant. I need to try this now :0
-
Honestly with the gross amount of DCs and the super unproductive playstyles some solo Q players have, it's more of a waste to burn them outside of your best killer and SWFs
-

It's lag mainly happened earlier I was slugged and an Elodie got chased one way but somehow ended up somewhere else even the doctor saw it cause he ran after her before she teleported.
Weird. I just hope it doesn't happen to often, I'm not trying to mess with such witchcraft

• Midwich is a balanced map that encourages interactivity between Killer and survivor, and it's incredibly easy to learn.
• NOED is fine, especially with how many Totem Perks exist, along with pink maps.
• RCPD is actually really fun once you know the layout.
• Pyramid Head's nerf to his butt was super unwarranted.
• Freddy is a good killer, but the dream state should have more of an effect to survivors to make it stand out.
• People who trash talk in end chat should remember that there's more to life than this game, and should really be more empathetic to their fellow players.
• Camping is a gamble that the killer takes. If survivors leave the one hook to die and rush gens, then that gamble is lost. If they stop and start being overly altruistic, then it was a success.
• BT Bodyblocking is a great way to protect fellow survivors, however, players should not be surprised if the Killer decides to tunnel right after, or knows to wait it out.
• Seriously though, that butt nerf was unwarranted.

Once had a game with an Ash that would follow me around and make loud noises at every location that I was at. Every time I'd get into chase, he'd put himself between me and a pallet and pre throw it to ensure I got hit. When I was hooked, he'd run up to me and just teabag and point, fake unhook me, and continue his shenanigans. Eventually the killer caught on to what was happening and tunneled and slugged the guy until he DCed, then gave me hatch.
To this day I don't trust Ash players.
-
Honestly I just want cross progression so I can move everything to PC and delete it off my Switch
-
@GeneralV said:
That is just the usual, eventually you will get used to it.
Many toxic players actually take the time to do this after a trial, especially if they lost the match. The worst I've ever got was a Nea telling me that I should burn alive.
Sweet Entity, it's just a game. People really need to get out and see that there's more to life than just DbD.
-
I've had this happen to me a few times. Peoe get super salty because they were sacrificed, and it's like, what can I do? NOED is up, Exit Gate is open, and killer is on me. Do they honestly expect me to make a save right then and there? Even if I were the one to die, I'd rather everyone else get out and give the killer a 1k than have the entire team go down by being overly altruistic.
-
Spine Chill/Resilience is great for making fast vaults mid chase. It can make the difference between gaining distance or getting downed.

I feel for you. Pretty much every time I come in with a team that’s running three flashlights, I get screwed because I’m the only one not blinding the killer.
I personally hate bringing in a flashlight, because not only am I bad with them, but I'm running Aura perks to see my team doing much of nothing, so I'm usually trying to get gens done and am too far away for the save anyway.

There’s always that match where you run a relentless Bubba for 3-4 gens ‘til he finally catches you... then all 3 solos simultaneously abandon repair duty, surrounding the hook, sloppily trying to defy the invincibility of his saw w/o BT in their build, thus, handing him the inadvertent 4K🙄
good times in the fog
I only really appreciate these scenarios when it's Granny Bubba. Granny Bubba is precious
-
@Apollos said:
I had a match earlier today where I went out of my way to save someone who was getting camped and then all 3 of the other survivors left me to die on my first hook when the gate opened lol
That's super rough! I can only assume none of them had BT.
-
Dropping an item is always a sign of respect for me. One match I had was playing Doctor and had gotten a blast off against a survivor in basement, so I headed down there. He lead me to an unlocked chest and pointed into it. It contained a key (didn't know the color), but I happily let them go and farmed with them a bit in exchange for him leaving it behind.
-
Honestly I don't find these killers OP, it just encourages me to do my best to not get caught (although I still do). The only nuisance I run into is if Myers has Tombstone, and instead of getting downed, I get sent to the Shadow Realm first chase.
-
I feel like I learned a lot about a perk I never used except to get Adept Jane. I'd love to read more :0
-
Honestly all for this. I feel it would help a lot in phasing out those team mates who DC for [insert myriad of excuses here].
-
I just play him as a basic M1 killer because I suck with his power. Do I get low kill rates? Yes, but I try to make the most of it and enjoy the money I spent on him
-
Casting
Couch
-
BBQ and Chili. I'm a ######### for that BP, but I've learned I don't even use it for the tracking most of the time. Started using Thrilling Tremors in its place
-
It seriously kills me to see people unironically complain about survivors running away from the killer. You know, the thing they're supposed to do. Apparently survivors are meant to just stand there with a crown of crows and doing literally anything is abusing the system.

I'd say use perks you know will help you survive. You have to play a little selfishly and stick to generators. You can offer a hatch location offering, but then the killer will know where the hatch is. That's why I prefer the add-on that shows you the hatch location.
I appreciate the tips! Let's hope we can both get it soon!
