I try to prestige characters before events happen so I don't have to worry about that, although it's been a grind. (The anniversary cakes help out a lot though). I burn as many 100% BP offerings while running WGLF or BBQ to get the most out of them before a character gets reset.

My goblin boi has finally become a beautifiss butterfly. Now he'll make a lovely decoration on hook.

I'd recommend the addon that lets you track hatch over Left Behind. Also wouldn't advocate Sole Survivor. Ideally you want your team to just leave or get chased out. I hid in a locker while my team left. It helps if the killer has a one-shot that they might be afraid of.
Think Hope or Self-Preservation would be better?
-
After being a bottom rung killer who was forced to rely on one specific add on to even be playable, he's fine as is. Start running Spill Chill and Sprint Burst. You can never go wrong with that combo if you're having trouble in chase with him. I will admit certain add-ons make him quite strong, so maybe a look into those would help.
-
I'm still trying it, myself. I'm running a pink map, Left Behind, Bond, Iron Will, and Sole Survivor (in case of BBQ). So far, no dice, but can't lose out hope.
-
Honestly as someone who mains Spirit, Stridor is very strong, yes, but there are better perks out there, not to mention grunts of pain are just one way to track a survivor. We can still hear their footsteps, see grass move, see pools of blood, etc. A skilled Spirit player can play perkless and still do just fine if they are ever aware of their surroundings.
-
No I get where you're coming from, that's why I'm taking it upon myself to play killer right now and taking it super easy. Not stressing about hooks or win conditions makes the game way more fun when you're playing peekaboo as Ghostface with baby survivors and butt dancing at the exit gates.
-
It's actually pretty fun to use this skin and have something like Tinkerer go off, and the survivors mistake you for one of their own.
-
Felix, Chris, and Lisa. Maybe it's my own superstition, but those types of players are usually pretty helpful throughout the match.
-
Just a thought on the points that you said were problematic to survivors:
Tinkerer: Countered by Spine Chill, and the fact that when you know they have Tinkerer you just get it to 75% and then leave it to pressure another gen.
PGTW: Countered by Repressed Alliance and/or ensuring the killer never gets a hook in the first place if you're good enough with flashlights/flashbangs.
Totems: Maps, Detective's Hunch, Small Game, Counterforce, if playing SWF just telling everyone to do a totem the moment they see it.
-
There's still no real incentive to use his power. It's not a threat at a distance, there was no buff to the laceration meters depletion, he's not 115%, and the Trick Blades were his best add on, but now are just super gimmicky.
I had high hopes for him, but at this rate they're solidifying his position as one of the weakest killers in the game.
-
I'm actually in the process of learning Oni rn. Still trying to get his dash down at loops.
-
"They devs need to remove (X Killer) from game."
"Crutch perks = bad survivor/killer."
"Killers are here for the survivors' entertainment."
-
I tried to play competitively, and like you said, it just wasn't good for my mental health (especially post chat). I give myself other goals to work toward in game (cleanse all totems, be team Healer, etc).
I've had to remind myself that dying or escaping doesn't matter as long as I was able to play well, and it's done wonders for me to just be super chill in matches.
-
For my Healer build: We'll Make It, WGLF, Aftercare, and Desperate Measures. Heal speeds go zoom, and peeps can see me if they need more heals.
If I'm not being strictly clerical, I def have Detective's Hunch on every load out. It's been an absolute unit almost every match I have it, especially against Ruin, DH, and NOED users.
-
Honestly ever since I became a totem hunter player, I've had no problems with it. There's still the rare occassion I miss a totem and it kicks in (typically on larger maps), but I can't complain if it kicks off knowing I tried.
I will say that with how rapidly gens get done, there are matches where my I may not even get to touch a gen during my hunts if the my team mates are good enough.
-
Instant Karma: Playing Survivor on Mother's Dwelling with Detective's Hunch to try to prevent NOED plays. The Killer was Deathslinger, and I was able to loop him for a gen at the house before going down. I get saved and started working on totems from where I last saw them during chase. This keeps up, but at some point the gens start popping really quickly because he got into a near endless loop with a skilled survivor, so I had a hard time memorizing where I saw all the totems. By the time the exit gates are powered, I think they're all cleansed because I didn't see any auras for Totems so I open the gates and leave. I spectate the match and the other three are teabagging at the exit gate. He fires his shot and snags a survivor. He hits them, NOED activates, he picks them up and there was a hook not too far from the gate. Blood Warden activates.
Whoops.
-
It's good advice, and I've had to do this myself lately. I appreciate your wholesome post ❤
-
Def Ghostface. He def seems like he'd be a super chill guy to grab a drink with in between murder plots. Think of the photo opportunities! 🖤
-
If I ever get sent to a bad map, I just try to find a three gen to protect to help make things easier for end game, especially if I get something ad large as Mother's Dwelling
-
I wish it was just a 4k, or even just downgrading it to Ruthless Killer instead, so it isn't thst awful to accomplish. I've had so many games where I've gotten Ruthless, mostly from people dying on hook too quickly or DCing.
-
It's necessary when trying to do the damn Heroic Cause challenge. 😭

Probably a bug in the scoring or emblem system. Goes along with the screwed up pips/depips.
I picked up Adept Executioner 2 days ago with a Merciless. Think that was post new patch...
Did you 4k? I have gotten a Merciless score with a 3k and last one getting the hatch. If you didn't, it might be a "hidden" requirement.
It was a 4k, and only one gen remaining. I'm a tad sad if that's the case. I'll just have to keep trying.
-
Yeah, that's what it's asking. Either heal a slugged survivor or recover yourself (i.e. Unbreakable/Soul Guard) twice in a match. Empathy is just the perk required to be equipped for the challenge, so a possible build you could run to achieve this is Empathy/Unbreakable/Soul Guard/WGLF (for the 100% slug heal)
-
Step One: Open Menu, click Leave Match.
Step Two: Rant online about Freddy to wait out that DC timer
-
Lauries and Ashes. From my experience these are usually the more brash and toxic players regardless of the side I'm playing.

You're gonna discourage Freddy players by giving them free 4ks?
Seems legit

I feel so seen rn as a Spirit/Oni main. Are you spying on me?
-
I really like Midwich and Hawkins. I def hate Haddonfield
-
Hey congratulations!! That's really awesome!
-
I like the concept, I hate the execution. I think it could use a rework, because as it is now, it's pretty miserable as both killer and survivor. It's the one .ap I actively try to avoid if possible
-
As much as I love Oni, def Pyramid Head. Despite that, it'd be a helluva fight to watch, and I am here for it
-
Been playing Spirit, but branching put to Oni and Pyramid Head because they seem really fun.
For Survivor I rotate between Felix, Dwight, Feng, and Lisa (Cheryl). I typically have most fun playing as Lisa because I make healing my team my top priority.
-
I adore the ping system, I would solo queue way more often if we could do that.
The parts system is very... meh. I honestly think Corrupt Intervention should just activate by default at the start of every match, and they rework the actual perk to do something else.
-
Yes, Killer is by far more of a challenge, because it requires a lot of management and skill, from chasing survivors, to monitoring gen progression, to making sure too much time isn't wasted in a chase or searching, etc. One thing that helps is equipping Corrupt Intervention and determining a three gen to help you prep for the end game.
-
Def Spirit. The Nurse telegraphs her Blinks, and that's all the info Rin would need to know to start phasing out of the way before mounting a counter. Plus, even if the Nurse landed a hit, all she's doing is attacking the husk of a dead girl already slashed to bits.
-
Most definitely. I've found that my weakest maps to perform well on are currently Haddonfield with its Great Wall of Fencing, Mount Ormond (even with the update I'm still pretty bad at it), Dead Dawg Saloon (especially against Blendettes), and the newly updated Game (aka Pallet Simulator).
-
I'd rather have it be more like the Cage of Atonement, where you do the skill checks, and missing one doesn't outright kill you.
-
I main Spirit, and I've been completely overwhelmed by SWFs before (and the occassional skilled solo queuer). She's strong, yes, but there is counter play, and if survivors can force her to react to them instead of the other way around, she's in for a bad time.
-
Def working towards Mr. Puddles and the Oni doll! I also really like the snow globe.
-
Was playing Spirit yesterday on Coldwind and came across a David who was making it very clear that he was about to unhook in my face. I get a hit on him, he unhook, runs and throws a pallet, and starts to teabag, which means I'm phasing, run around the dropped pallet, and down him. I just looked at him with much disappointment. The only time I'm teabagging is if I'm goofing off with another survivor, not at the one thing in the game that's determined to kill me.
-
Honestly the only thing that scares me are the survivors, and not not sweaty rank 1 SWFs, because I know how those matches will play out, but newer players. They are so wildly unpredictable and legit pop out of no where most of the time.
I had a match last night where I was Spirit on Midwich, and as I was turning a corner a survivor ran smack into me and gave me the spooks.
-
@GrimReaperJr1232 said:
It's been solved before. Back when Spirit was bugged and you could still track her location by her breathing while her husk was idle.
So pretty much that.
This right here. If survivors can hear the direction she is phasing from, it gives them a lot of info, especially if you make her default moan sound when she's within striking range. Also, the bug that make her shards slightly glow when she started phasing would go great with this. As a Spirit main I really do find it dumb how I can stand there and watch survivors fling themselves into my open arms.
-
If you'd like to main Doctor, I recommend using Whispers. It's a guaranteed hit on survivors when using Static Blast, and Distressing will increase that range. The only thing you'll need to learn is the timing of regular shocks to keep thr survivors at bay when looping.
-
Was playing against a really good Nurse last night on the Elementary School, and she had me cornered by a large bush where we proceeded to play Ring Around the Rosie. It was honestly rather fun, despite eventually getting downed and dying.
-
I was playing as Spirit earlier today on a Coldwind map. Before Corrupt Intervention expired I had hooked a Bill, who proceeded to DC while on first hook. I start going after the other survivors, and could only find a Feng and a Laurie, Feng holding a key and Laurie being super cocky trying to make DS plays. I had noticed I could never find the Ash, but I knew he was the only one really doing any work, because he would go for the hook saves and was able to complete two gens before the ladies died. I let him go because he legit was just playing well and had crappy team mates.
-
Entered a lobby yesterday that I had to dodge because everyone was a P3 Feng with toolboxes. I really don't care how long they have to wait, I refuse to go near groups like that.

Because someone got injured on their own? I think there's a perk that does that. Otherwise, I'm a bit confused at the logic/joke

Edited for typos

I tried it before using a build of Kindred, Deliverance, Soul Guard, and WGLF. It heavily encouraged me to save teammates for sweet, sweet BP, and in the event I get hooked and am camped, I still have a chance at escaping (granted I'm terrible so I usually go down regardless).
-
When I drink, I never go in with a mindset to win, whether it be killer or survivor, because my already low skill level drops further. I very much just like to chill out and meme
