Honestly, Exit Gates should spawn like this, and excuse my poor drawing:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/036/U4GBRCL8BJ9E.jpg

Basically, the Exit Gates are sinked into walls, this is comparable to Lèry's, The Game, and Hawkin's Laboratory.

To compensate, Exit Gates will always spawn on the same wall but always the maximum distance apart on that wall (or they will always be within 56 meters from each other).

Therefore, the survivor can sneak into the Exit Gate tile, and wait for the killer to fade away to attempt for an escape. Hopefully, if the survivor manages their time well, it should come down to a 25 (survivor)/75(killer). 🤗😁

I like it, even if the gates were to spawn close with this design, it would prevent the killer from being able to stand in one spot and be able to see both switches from that spot or prevent them from moving like 3 ft to be able to see the other switch then go back. The only maps that are like this already are the indoor maps, every other map most of the time the gates spawn close and they have to walk through just about nothing. This would actually, regardless of how close they spawn, force killers to go up to the switch to see it.

It would still have a downside for survivors too because if the killer came back, they might have enough time to be able see the survivor and corner them in that boxed area.

  • The things you are reporting are, sadly, not reportable. It is perfectly fine to be hurt by these actions, t-bagging is nothing but toxic whereas bodyblocking is a good strat to make sure their team doesn't go down at the end or it's good to make sure their team can wiggle off the killer's shoulder.

Griefing is more along the lines of ... well I dunno because it's very vague and BHVR doesn't explain. It's really hard to report survivors especially for griefing because the only way they can ruin your game experience are not reportable offenses. It's much easier to get a killer banned for griefing because they can take actions that make it so you can't even play the game, thus ruining your experience (such as facecamping, which I've heard is still not reportable which makes no sense).

I had a friend report someone for Mori Spamming a friend of mine and BHVR got back to them "Thank you for your concern but no action will be taken against this player." So pretty much, toxicity is 100% allowed and clearly, it's encouraged (regardless of how many times BHVR says they do not encourage it).

  • Sigh, this is getting on my nerves so much it's not even funny. Literally EVERYONE is saying this. No, it is NOT an Insidious LF Challenge. I've hooked more than one in the basement (without this challenge) while playing legit in the past and I'm not even a good killer.

Take a basement build with any killer and you'll probably get it. Agitation, Mad Grit (or something else like Infectious Fright), Iron Grasp, Monstrous Shrine. Do it with Hag, Trapper, maybe even Legion, whoever and you'll still probably get it. There's also another factor, Altruistic teammates. People have been farming lately... That's something you can take advantage of too.

What is it with everyone admitting they're so bad they can't do it unless they camp...

  • You had me until I saw "The faces of Behaviour are all friendly and nice." and I say this due to the fact as to what I've heard about things they've said in the past. Such as:

"Get good or find a new game." or a friend told me he asked in a livestream at one point in his dbd time why can't we see the killer's profile when they can see survivor's and he was told to shut up, he didn't know what he was talking about. There's also much more I'm sure than these two examples.

Not to mention after updates, nerfs, whatever, I see so many people crying that BHVR didn't listen to the community ... How is that nice towards the community if BHVR doesn't truly listen all the time?

I also get bugs may not always be the easiest to fix but the fact that some have been around for months and months or even more than a year, it does not seem like they're doing much to actually fix the game. BHVR, if you actually care about your game and community, please do something. I like the game, don't get me wrong but BHVR needs to actually show me they care about their community and stop acting like this.

  • Wow, so many biased survivor mains here or something? Everyone focusing on the poster playing spirit with a mori (that they said they didn't even use if you actually read the post), op addons, and good perks but no one looking at the fact that the survivors brought a key, good items, and meta perks and not to mention were in a discord call. The survivors obviously DC'd due to Prayer Beads Spirit... I wouldn't give them a rematch either if they did that.

And I bet all of you survivor mains in here usually bring your best perk set. But the killers aren't allowed to bring their best? And anyone salty with this spirit claiming to be a killer main, I'm sure you bring great perks and op addons usually too. It's fine when you all play with your best stuff but not when this person does?

Oh, boohoo, it's a spirit. Spirit overpowered. Okay? And? Are people not allowed to play a killer they like and are good at? I don't understand anyone's logic.

I, personally, congratulate them on destroying a toxic SWF. They were toxic, they deserved it.

  • Someone had a map addon which can put a beam of light down at the location they're at when they do it.

I feel like you're going in the right direction. But I think everyone should start out in "Casual" mode and once they complete it, they can prestige the Tome level to "Expert" or "Difficult" mode. And the prestige is optional, but you will get the more stuff. It would be so you can get all the extra things. It would make it to where you can complete challenges on your own time, and when you're done with the "Casual" you can just prestige and do the "Expert" challenges while you wait for the next tome level.

The prestige part is a nice idea, would help people get the achievement if they are achievement hunters and what not but thing is would those who chose Expert be allowed to go back and do Casual? Wouldn't make sense to...un-prestige. Wouldn't be fair for those who actually wanted a challenge in the first place to get an achievement and more rewards only to let the people who chose Casual and prestige later get those same rewards on top of getting all the BP and Rift Fragments from Casual Mode.

I wanted Expert to get something more as a prize for saying "Hey, you actually wanted a real challenge in your life. You're actually pretty skilled to be able to do this and wanna stick with it til the end."

  • @TAG said:

What happens if you pick Hard and find it too difficult? SOL?

I pretty much made a forum thread hours prior to this one with the exact same idea (but slightly more detailed-ish)... but called it 'Expert' mode to hopefully let people know "Hey, these challenges are gonna be super difficult. Hope you know what you're getting yourself into." and also suggested being able to preview the tome before getting into it.

So at that point if you pick that mode, it's your fault. People should figure hard is meant to be hard, their fault if they think hard is supposed to be easy.

  • @AngryFluffy said:

Tbh I don't really like this because people who play casual will still be missing lore and maybe feel disadvantaged if they want to complete the lore, but also don't dare to try expert mode due to possible lack of time.

I'd be all in for higher bp rewards, but anything else could still cause the same problem and not solve anything imo.

And there would still be a lot of people who chose expert mode, and with challenges like unhooking a lot of survivors or hook multiple survivors in the basement at same time, the problem about toxic gameplay would also still be there.

I see where you are coming from, but I don't think it is possible to make everyone happy anyways.

Sadly, it's never possible to make everyone happy but this is a start.

The notes part doesn't have to be there, both sides could still get the same notes, same lore. I just put that part there because I felt Casual should have specific downsides but I get the notes also don't mean much it's the more casual part of the rift (just a cool side thing to obtain), I just couldn't think of many other things to make a difference between the modes.

But Expert Mode would be meant to be super challenging, people upon choosing expert should know what they are getting themselves into at that point it'd be their fault for choosing a path that could lead to toxicity and whatnot. However, before choosing what mode you do, you'd be allowed to see the challenges in each mode to better see whether you want to or not. There are people who don't want the challenges changed as they are in Tome Level 3 right now, so basically they don't seem to care for toxic or unhealthy gameplay if they really want the challenges to be like this.

  • Don't killers and survivors only have 3 perks instead of 4?

For Survivor I'd take out Not My Blood because they took out instant heals for a reason. There's We'll Make It or MedKits though for quick heals.

For Killer I'd take out My House because if you have a good enough headset you can hear them regardless.

    Survivor:

-Know Your Enemy seems op, I'd say it should be "Once you enter in a chase with the killer, their aura is revealed to everyone else for 4/6/8 seconds" instead of perma aura reveal.

-Barricade could be 1/2/3 sec longer (because if it's too long, people will complain)

-I Can Fix That should be for if it's damaged and under x amount of % like 40% or something.

    Killer:

-Favorite Neighbor seems a bit worthless considering if they are near a gen, they might be working on that gen, making the damage to the other gen pointless. A lot of Surge as well with a slight difference on how to activate them.

    -Years of Training looks nice.

-Lights Out, maybe make it so it doesn't count for like the first minute or so of the game? Because at the start, all gens are 0%

  • Well, it was Legion. But with the nerf to Sloppy Butcher coming out, idk. I still like Legion as a character and will still play 'em from time to time but I don't really have a fav killer since I don't play killer often.

I plan to try playing Plague (and Hag when I get her) at some point and seeing if I like them, they seem like great killers imo.

And do you think they have to put individual pieces on sale? They don't. They don't even need to put the full outfits on sale.

This is the mentality that makes people go "you give an inch they take a mile"

I'm not saying that at all... but okay. I was just making a statement, I don't even plan to drop anymore money on this game, sale or not, until they fix their crap...

Out of everyone here talking about it, I like how I'm the one person you decide to pick on... but okay...

  • The thread is talking about the sale on the outfits... I am referring to the fact that people are disappointed you can only get the whole outfit on sale, not just one item of it. The items alone are not on sale, only with its outfit. What if I don't want the whole outfit, why can't each individual piece be on sale?

That's what I mean... .-. If it still makes no sense, idk how else to explain it.

  • @Yamaoka said:

What do you mean by friendly killer?

I can only assume a killer who allows survivors to live and lets them farm. I also know a streamer who plays normally but only hooks twice and doesn't kill, letting them escape at the end.

Jus' ... killers like that probs.

However, I don't see this (of all things) as ruining the game....

  • @Volfawott said:

You get the outfit at a discounted price which is better than what you would have gotten if you got all the pieces individually

What if I hate the outfit and only wanted one piece of it? Sure, I'd get extra cosmetics with the discount... cosmetics I don't even want. I'm not going to get the other pieces individually because I never wanted nor will I ever want them.

  • -Escape using the perk Spine Chill.

    That's the easy part.

-Escape using that perk WITHOUT getting hooked all match?

Those odds are rarely happen. Like everyone else said, it's luck based. Not just for this challenge but for numerous. I do agree for sure challenges should be challenging but if it involves luck, no. If it involves unhealthy gameplay, no. If it involves needing to farm a round, no. At that point it becomes an almost impossible and tedious task. And if I recall, BHVR has called this a casual game, so to base these challenges around expert skill level'd people is the opposite of casual. People also do not have time to play this game as much as you do. So by the time they finally get done with one tome, tome three or four is out.

If anything, to please people like you they could make two separate tomes for each level. The Casual Mode Challenges and the Expert Mode Challenges. The only drawback to Casual is less BP (but up the BP for Expert a bit too so Casual doesn't lose that much) and you can't get the notes.

Tome I was perfectly fine, I did it all. Tome II, most of it was okay, I ain't done the killer challenges yet on it but they seem doable. Then you get to Tome III and it's like "Okay, I cannot grind this game the way you want me to, devs. Nor do I have the skill level you expect."

  • Ah, such sad people... I've noticed that in a lot of streamers too. They enjoy being toxic, why? I really wish I knew... maybe mental disorders or something (I know not all streamers are toxic like this but a lot are, especially the DbD ones). The sad part about streamers like this is they actually get views and people who like their content, I've watched toxic people and I've done my best to move away from them for the most part. It's sickening how people act like this and people still enjoy their company.

    Feelsbad for you.

  • I like your ideas, they're nice but when I think of 'second objective' I don't think of making being injured more difficult thus requiring to heal. I think of making survivors do something else on top of doing gens before you can escape. Most people heal as it is whether it be with Self Care or letting an ally heal you, making being injured worse is not my idea of a secondary objective even though it would promote actually healing every match but usually people end up getting injured again and again.

Not to mention there is one killer that would rise up due to this, the Plague. A lot of people hate healing against her because let's face it, her blood puke is just as bad as being a one shot. Not to mention if someone sick gets hooked, someone who just cleansed has to go get sick again. You'll just keep getting sick again and again throughout the match. There would be no escaping the injured penalties.

I would make an objective where you actually have to hook up cables to connect all the gens to each other and to the gates and fix a power box on top of doing gens, that's a secondary objective to me.

  • Yeah, I got a match the other day where I actually managed to do good at looping a killer (and that's rare for me) just to have him give up and DC (even though he could have cycled off to get 2 of the other survivors who he'd gotten shortly prior to finding me). Am I supposed to die? No, it should count as an escape because the killer cried I wouldn't stop doing what my role is meant to do. The killer ran away like a baby. I technically escaped death.

  • Swimsuits for a summer collection. Idk why, but I want swimsuits.

  • Hit boxes were a problem before dedicated servers, I think the servers are fine. Next,

Being a survivor main, I never use BL anyway it's extremely situational and I'm rarely ever on a good map to use it when I do put it on or am never in the right spot at the right time to use it. Plus, it's the most op exhaust addon when you do get the chance to use it so I feel the nerf is needed. Maps are fine too so idk what the problem is there. Next,

Noed is fair the same way perks like DS are. The title of another thread I saw at one point recently said "DS rewards failure" or something like that. DS encourages getting downed after being hooked which is what you want to AVOID. The same way that Noed encourages leaving survivors alive 'til the end game which you want to kill survivors BEFORE that happens. Noed is basically a perk for killers who admit they are bad at killer. HOWEVER, perks like this are counterable, you can punish the killer for bringing Noed by breaking totems which are CLEARLY not a waste of time if you hate noed that much and if you choose to leave the totems up, guess what, YOU are at fault. Next,

I don't see a problem. I just don't. At least not in the things you mention.

  • Ah, crying over nothing. Now, you might tell me "It's not nothing!" but it is. The first hook allows you to sit there and do nothing, maybe even afk for a super quick second to get a bottle of water or if you prefer to stay in your chair, you can click your mouse button to wiggle your character on the hook to let your team know the killer is there.

But on the second hook your poor little finger has to hit a button... I... I don't see a problem. I tried to think of a problem it brings but I couldn't. I've never died on 2nd hook due to ANY kind of lag, I only die on second hook when my finger slips away from the spacebar for a second by accident and hits one of my letter keys which RARELY happens. I'm sure BHVR just wants to make it harder and wants you to have to work for it to stay alive instead of continuously making every little TINY thing easier for survivors. I feel if you're just given the chance to stay alive without doing ANYTHING, then you don't deserve it. Now, I use the term "work for it" lightly since button mashing isn't really doing much work still anyway but you also shouldn't get to just sit there for a 2nd time doing nothing. So maybe they could still have us do something else on Stage 2 instead of button mashing but I do feel there should be something instead of nothing.

Either way, out of all the things I've seen people complain about this is probably in my top 5 pointless. You have to hit a button, okay, is it going to kill you irl? No.

  • Where was this generator though? Perhaps the other survivor didn't have much choice either? Even though it is a team game it's still everyone for themselves when it comes to running from the killer. What else can one do?

Gonna need a lil bit more context before I decide who was right and wrong.

  • @Go_Go_Roboto said:

Bye the sounds of it you crouched damn near the hook several times to attack the rescuer you knew was coming. Even if you weren't very close, it is at least proxy camping. At no point you intended to leave the hooks area.

I think they would have left had they not heard survivors coming in for the save a second after hooking the person. So they probably did intend to leave except for the fact the survivors weren't very bright. Idk if you play killer but if you have a perk or addon that lets you KNOW someone is coming, why should you leave?

Now, scrolling down the forum I saw Peanits say that it is camping but agreed they had no reason to leave in this scenario. Personally, I wouldn't have seen it as camping considering they came in immediately... The survivor rulebook of "You have to leave the hook immediately and let us save even if you know we are here" is dumb.

Not really camping imo if you don't give the killer a chance to leave, at that point it is your fault.

  • Tbh, I've done the hook a survivor in the basement while someone is already there before T3 even came out. And I'm not even a good killer. Just take a basement build (Agitation, Mad Grit (or something else), and Iron Grasp) along with MS. And with the way survivors like to farm their teammates, it might not be as hard as you think. The match I did, I didn't even get a chance to really walk away from the basement before they saved... So some challenges (Survivor or Killer) are doable without doing unhealthy gameplay.

However, I do agree they are taking that hard turn into promoting toxicity and unhealthy plays and also aren't even listening to the community to stop what they're doing with the challenges.

I primarily have a problem with EGC challenges and the one where you have to escape without getting hooked at all (prepare for a lot of Egoist Blendettes).

  • The killer ones definitely promote plays that make the game super unfun for everyone, like... what killer has fun sitting in one spot to kill altruistic teammates? (and if that's your idea of fun you need help)

Some survivor ones are doable without the need to ruin the gameplay. Saving survivors off hook for example, you don't need to farm that... just be patient throughout your matches but people cry about not getting it done quick enough so that's why they do it (and they probably just dunno how to play properly).

I get these are supposed to be challenges and all, meaning they are meant to be hard... no challenge in things being easy. However, some are just impossible without toxic gameplay or without swf. I mean one of the survivor ones is escape using spine chill without EVER being hooked that match. Like... WHAT? Basically promoting an Egoist/Blendette playstyle.

I don't think you're a baby... these challenges are bs but sadly, challenges are meant to be challenging. I think once I get to a point where they are literally impossible for me, I'll just stop with their dumb tomes.

  • Tbh, I like Spine Chill a lot especially with Stealth killers being so popular. I also like the combo of SB + Fixated on one of my characters because it helps me a lot usually.

I usually use Adren. It's also hard for me to be without Iron Will on most characters, I dun like to be heard when hurt.

  • It really depends on the skill level, the perk set, the addons, whether the killer tunnels/camps, and whether there is a mori or survivor items in play. Some rounds can feel killer sided. Some feel survivor sided.

With the rank system being broken (putting me in ranks I shouldn't be in) and I don't wanna be forced to throw away a perk I like for a perk whose skill check I can barely ever hit (aka DS), it normally feels killer sided to me. I'm sure those who actually deserve to be in these ranks and actually like the meta perks, it feels the opposite considering they do exceptionally well.

  • Remove Keys, remove Moris. There's a streamer I watch who prefers to play killer and is an amazing survivor as well and would be fine with the removal of both.

-If not remove both then change mori more in a way where it can't kill everyone.

Yellow: Kill the last remaining survivor in the match (even if never been hooked).

Green: Kill 2 who have been hooked twice already.

Pink: Kill 2 who have been hooked only once. Kill the last remaining survivor. -or- Kill 3 who have been hooked twice already.

(Another idea would be to make it so the survivor has to hit 2-4 great skill checks (that go by kinda fast one after another) in order to dodge the mori completely)

-As for keys, I like your idea but feel like it needs some work or needs a new idea in general. It will encourage camping/tunneling on the key holder, as someone else said the survivors could drop the key and pick up later for when they need it, or they can find one in a chest (providing they have the perks for it or just get really lucky) when you least expect it/when they really need it.

  • I've made it to Red Ranks before and I don't even know how. Now even though I do get to red ranks, I still play casually and don't want people to get all mad because of how I play but it's going to happen because most red ranks don't understand what a "casual game" means.

However, due to the mindset of most red ranks I do not wish to be in the rank color I don't deserve to be in. A lot of people try to depip because of how much more toxic and awful the game gets in red ranks. Etc.

I feel just either rid of the ranking system or fix the system, make it harder, and send everyone back to rank 20 and work their way up again. That way people like me can hopefully not go past green ranks and people who are actually good can be in purple/red ranks without potato players. Or... make more ranks as well.

Ya know, just something to help this issue would be nice...

  • The only reason I jump on the bandwagon of "they only care about money" is for two reasons.

    1) New Killers, New Survivors, New Cosmetics - Do we REALLY need those? Why should I cut them slack for making new stuff all the time? New stuff we do NOT need? We don't need new killers, survivors, or cosmetics. People can live with what they're currently wearing. People can live with what the perks and killers and survivors they have. They should focus on balancing all killers and perks (surv and killer sided), before adding more unbalanced stuff. Tell me, why do we need it. I understand they need to make money to pay employees but can those employees actually do their job then?

    2) The REAL Community - I've gone on the forums numerous times after patches and seen that a lot of people are saying that BHVR did not listen to them as to what they ACTUALLY wanted. BHVR does what THEY want, they don't seem to care about their real community, they just care about what they want. I understand they made it and it's technically their game but they have a lot of people dropping money on the game and a large community that plays it, they spend our money on making cosmetics and getting licensed killers. Not on fixing bugs or balancing. When they do, they don't do it right.

Idc much for balancing at this moment, I know it's hard but the game is very buggy which is my main concern. I want to actually see them fixing ...no... squashing bugs that have been around for months and months on end. Don't get me wrong, I like the game and I WANT to support BHVR but until I see progress on the bugs, Idk if I can believe they do not care for money.

I understand a lot of other stuff has been changed due to feedback in the past but from what I've seen, especially recently, they either don't listen too well or don't fix what's needed. Or they just do a bad job at fixing things. Like Dead Hard for example, I was in a match earlier where it activated but I went down but DH was supposedly fixed, don't worry! Or another example, the rank update error I saw a forum in September (when I first saw the bug for myself) that said they've seen it since July, It's almost 2020 now and it's still not fixed.

Not to mention the whole "I think we've done a pretty good job so far" is a meme within the community due to the fact that the game is becoming slightly more unplayable as time goes by and they don't seem to be doing much about it.

  • I emailed the Rover Team back (after opening a ticket and being told to message Rover and not DbD), unsure if it was just me (and a friend who had the same issue). Asking if I was even one of the 'qualifying participants' to earn the rewards because I, obviously as well, see nothing. Only did it tonight though so obviously no reply yet...

Glad to know that my friend and I aren't the only ones. I hope BHVR fixes it and at least tells them "Hey, don't send out an email saying they got their rewards when they obviously didn't."

  • This should be under Feedback & Suggestions, not Bug Reports.

  • That usually happens because the party itself was bugged. I seem to be cursed... 80% of the time I'm in a party I break it somehow. One time I didn't see a friend readied up when he was, about 2 minutes later it finally showed him out of the last match and readied up but he'd already gotten into a lobby without me. I had to rejoin.

Numerous times when I do rejoin friend lobbies, turns out my ghost is haunting my friends. I just break a lot of lobbies it seems... But the party system itself is screwed which causes numerous bugs to happen.

  • Red Forest is good if you trap around the main building, shack, and some spots survivors might run and be unsuspecting of a trap. But it takes time to trap which is the sad thing so in the time you set 2-3 traps, 1-2 gens can already be done.

It's probably better to bring one of the addons to increase the traps you carry/start with as well.

Is fine though, you do the challenges how you see it best. I will probably see about begging the survivors to take pity as well for some of my killer challenges because I rarely play killer.

  • I main Jake, the perks I use on him are:

-Spine Chill (because Stealth killers seem to be popular)

-Adrenaline (just in case I make it that far)

-We'll Make It (because it's an op altruistic addon)

-Iron Will (because I feel weird without it, I don't like to hear myself moaning in pain)

well im talking high ranks here, since this is where the gens are done really fast.

Overcharge is not very good, the skill check is not difficult to hit.

Ruin is hit or miss. 90% of the time it gets cleansed in 30 seconds.

Thana is very negligible. it adds what? a few seconds more?

pop is the only good one

shrug Those were only a few examples, there are more anti gen perks. Depending on the survivor you go up against (cuz quite a few are boosted), any anti gen perk is plenty to slow the game just enough. Not to mention people get altruistic and there's also anti healing perks.

But perhaps the gens get done fast because the survivors actually come up with a plan for themselves. Or they're good at stealthing away from their gen if you come near and are able to get back on it when you walk away. And like others said, gen pressure is a thing. I'm sure for some specific killers its hard, especially depending on the map but regardless, it's still a thing. If you're in the red ranks, by now gen pressure is something you should be exceptionally skilled with.

  • Even being a survivor I do feel like DS is a bit op. Let's say a killer wasn't busy chasing others after having recently hooked someone because they couldn't find others. So they go back to the hook and let's say they're still in the area. They down the unhooked and even if they go for the other, usually the other person is down and hooked before DS runs out or the chase goes on long enough and the unhooked person is healed up by someone else so you still wasted a lil bit of time even worrying about them for even a second. If by chance they're not healed up by the time a long chase is over, they usually get salty they got slugged and get all toxic.

How it could be nerfed though? I dunno. I wouldn't know how to balance it.

  • @Hex_Devour_Dez_Nutz said:

    what perks u talking about?

Ruin, Thana, Pop, Overcharge (cuz not everyone can get the skill check), etc. basically any anti gen perks.

  • Interesting conversation you both got going, but ima have to say no. Killers already have perks that are enough of a nerf. If you don't want to use those perks, then accept that you might lose your matches.

If gen speed got nerfed, those perks basically get a big buff. So either nerf those perks then nerf gen speed or do nothing and leave it be.

  • I like Susie because she's actually got hair on her cosmetics. And she's the youngest, I feel bad for her that this happened to her.

  • Idk why but I usually have the urge to ship Kate x Jake. Probably because I like playing those two the most...

I don’t need 4K every game. 2K would be ok.

I'm glad that you are having fun with friends. Fun is a big word in these days. But killers deserve to have fun too. And there is nothing funny about getting looped while three gens are done in 80 seconds.

Yes sometimes you find SWF that play casually, but it’s pretty rare. Most of the games, if I kill someone, I get salt like I’m the worst person in the world. Just because all his little friend escaped and he didn’t.

casual is rare in this game. Survivors think that they win only if they escape. But actually it’s so easy ranking up as a survivor which can be considered as a win.

As a killer, you need at least 3 kills to rank up.

For me - 2 kills is a win.

I'm sorry that it happens to you, that's why I hate toxic people... ruins the game. It's like "Okay, the killer killed you, move on and try better next time." or something.

However, I do not wish to be punished for what others do in their SWF.

But have some advice I got from an educational DbD Streamer: Know when to cycle off and find someone else. Don't stick on the same person if you cannot catch them. Get one, maybe two pallets out of them first.

I know SWFs usually split up though so even if you find someone else, it might not help much still but it'd be better to scare them off of gens and try for the weaker links first. If solo ques were smart they'd split up too so it's not always SWF that is the problem (and usually they do in my few killer games).

I recently saw a survivor accuse my friend of tunneling. It was two minutes into the game, no hooks yet. He finds Claudette and starts chasing her. She jumps into a locker, he pulls her out, and she disconnects, then sends messages accusing him of tunneling and saying tunneling is cheating and she's gonna report him and get him banned.

I still can't figure out what in the survivor's head tunneling means if that's what she thinks it is.

It's amazing. Survivors think they can report a killer and get them banned for daring to play the game at all.

I've seen so many survivors cry "tunneler!" when it's not actually tunneling. Their definition is basically if they get found, they're being tunneled. A friend once (not sure if they were joking) claimed a killer was tunneling on their stream yet it was like 20 seconds or so into the match... I've seen others claim tunneling when they got unhooked, killer wasn't busy, and go back to the hook and just happened to find the unhooked instead of the unhooker. Basically, these types of survivors expect the killers to sit afk in a corner.

I would like to see what the devs say actually. The camping part is fine. But the traps and gen thing there sounds an awful lot like working with the other side, and that is a big no no last I checked.

I would consider 'working with the other side' to be sandbagging. The Ace was not doing that from what it sounds like, they just took pity on the trapper and in return the trapper was thankful and let him live. Now if the Ace was pointing at the David, doing quick actions to notify the killer of where he was, body blocking the David, etc. then yes, it would be considered working with the other side. The Ace was still helping his other teammates by doing the gens.

  • You can know about leaked info, that's fine. Just don't speak about it here and all will be okay.

A lot of people around the forums saying they don't know about leaks but still mention something about them. Maybe it's just a coincidence if you and others actually have not seen the leaks, but even still, BHVR still likes to be sure no one is talking about something that should not have been released yet.

  • It might not be fair usually but it is meant to purely be a casual game. Now, let me explain the 'usually' part I threw in there.

Do all people play competitively? No. Some do because they have the hots for winning but the game is, in no way, meant to be competitive. When I think 'casual' I think "It shouldn't matter whether you win or lose, just have fun with it..." I don't want to be told "You can't play with friends" or "Things will become expert mode/pro level skill matches if you play with friends" all because killers are sweaty for that 4k (no offence, but when I hear killers wanting to rid of or nerf SWF this is my first thought).

Not to mention, not all SWF are in sync, they like want to play and talk together. Doesn't mean they're on point. My friends and I have been wrecked by killers. I've seen other SWFs wrecked by killers. SWF doesn't always mean you won't get kills. You don't always need a 4k.

Some SWF don't even use comms. I did a friendly killer match the other day and someone from that round invited me to play as survivor but they didn't ask me to join any voice chats with them and their friends.

Seeing everyone wanting SWF taken away or nerfed really needs to learn what casual is. Needs to learn you don't have to win every. single. match. to have fun. I have friends, I'm sorry that I'm not anti social online. What do you want me to do? Remove everyone off my steam friends? No thank you.

  • Jokes on the Ash, BHVR is gonna tell his butt "Thanks for your concern but this is not a punishable offense."

    Especially since:

    A) You didn't bring the killer, you stealthed away before he saw you.

    B) Even if you had went outside and hid behind a wall, you're right, the chest is loud as hell. Any normal killer woulda been like "Lemme just creep down here... oh hai ash!"

It's sad when people know nothing about the game and proceed to blame everyone but themselves.

  • As much as I hate Noed, I agree with people saying it's fine and balanced. They added more BP to doing totems to try to encourage people to do more totems. Sure, not every killer has noed so you never know when to spend your time doing totems but just do it anyway to be safe.

Noed ONLY becomes active after the last gen is done. It's not like it's active the entire match. YOU as the survivor actually have a chance to deactivate it just like any other hex perk. If your teammates hate you for doing totems, tell them you don't like noed as much as the next person and you'd rather be safe than sorry.

The only thing to make it better would be to add a totem counter (much like the gen counter) for when you're solo queing and can't communicate how many totems are left.

  • A few things actually:

Tbaggers - Why? There is no need. You're just acting like a child (and I don't really like children) trying to act like you're better and trying to ruin someone's fun with the game. Even if you are better, who cares? Take your 'betterness' and just keep doing gens, looping, healing, etc. And just leave.

Stalling - Speaking of "just leave" I understand if someone stands in the exit when they dunno if everyone else is able to safely get out of not but when you stand in the exit just to stall the game further, just as bad as tbagging (even if you don't tbag). The killer just wants to move on and go to their next game, they know they can't get you before you escape so just go, get out, get it over with.

The Mindset of "Oh, someone else will save the hooked." - what I mean by this is lets say there's 4 survivors left. One is getting chased the other two are on gens. Stop. That has caused me (and others) to needlessly hit stage 2. I can't force people to be altruistic but it is a team game whether you like it or not. I wanna play the game too, it's not just your game, its everyone's. You don't even have to heal me idc. Just save me at least. Feels worse than being camped because if I'm not even being camped there is no reason people should let me get to stage 2 on first hook.

If getting a middle finger in your face from some rando online is enough to ruin your whole day, that sounds like a you problem. Maybe you shouldn't play pvp games if you only want positive experiences with other people.

Well, it ruins the entire match for me personally, not the whole day. Sorry though that some people are able to be sadden by certain acts of toxicity and don't have hearts of stone, like I dunno what else to say.

Experiences with others should be positive. I know there's a lot of negative people out there and it can't be stopped I understand that but there's still absolutely no reason to be toxic. I buy games to enjoy them, not for people to be rude. Everyone should enjoy the game, if they hate the game and the people playing it enough to become toxic enough to tbag and mori spam, they shouldn't be playing either then.

Anyway, the forum thread was basically just me being curious about griefing and what it exactly is because BHVR doesn't elaborate and curious about why I've heard some people getting banned for it but this one person not. Didn't need anyone telling me or others with actual emotion that we shouldn't be playing.
