I like your idea, and I also thought of this cool killer perk that would add a third exit gate that seems normal but once you opened it up it's fake and blocked by the entity

They are proving the idea that they are supposed AFK and still all that time. No one cleared bones at all proving the need for NOED changed in debate is otherwise the wrong point. Instead, it's proven by his experience that Survivors dont take the time to do bones at all but cry for NOED to be changed.
But you seriously don't even know how many totems they cleansed. They couldve done all but one. Maybe adding in thrill of the hunt will help prove your point, but until then I still will, in my opinion, think your argument has no basis.

I have never had a swf fall for for a fake pick up....
There is something wrong with the survivors streamers get. they could be fanboys or the area they live in just has potatoes, i have no idea. But I find myself just shaking my head at some of the stupidity i see from survivors on their streams..
There is no way the survivors would even know who they're going against till the end (unless they are streaming), so they can't be "fanboys"
-
But like its takes forever to find a survivor lobby, and I like to ready up then mess with my perks, etc. Because there is no reason to spend 5 minutes on my perks then wait another 5 minutes for a lobby when that all couldve been done in the same time
-
Well then should survivors be able to see who the killer is to properly equip perks? I dont think so
-
Well would you rather wait forever for a lobby? 🤣 And they said they were going to implement (I don't know when) a point system, that was actually based off the ranks of you and the killer. So, in your situation, with their system, if you won you would get a little points, but if you lost you'd lose more because you're a higher rank. And if the killer was a lower rank than you, if you lost you'd lose less points, and if you won you'd get more points.
-
Well did you mori them off of first hook? Lol🤪

then maybe it should pair me to the same rank and rank me up to against those who 5 rank higher than me.
If you've been actually paying attention to what the dev's have said you would know that they are starting to just group together survivors and killers of all ranks. And that they have a "hidden" ranking system that I'd based off how well you do against the ranked people you play with.

So let’s say a special scenario where ruin was reverted, for me probably not here’s why because of the ruin nerf I had to adapt and I really couldn’t until a started playing nurse... I got help from a fellow nurse main in the PS4 community about a month ago and I can say the fruits of my hard work are paying off. As much as I hate to say the ruin nerf has helped me become a better killer but I’m afraid about the ones can’t adapt. Would you go back to using ruin if it was reverted ?
Well I just wish they made it to where once it's destroyed kicking a gen would have the same regression effect as when it was up.

That is nerfing making something not as effective as it used to be is a nerf plus that build isn't even that good. It's not even close to as good as an OK survivor perk build which can go on 4 people
Who said they are making it less powerful? Just because it cant synergize with other slowdown perks doesn't make it a "nerf", it just means that they are changing the way the perk operates.
-
@FootMan2893 said:
If I'm understanding this correctly by their own responses:
They don't think Gen speed has any issues. They don't think survivors have any balance problems at all. They're actually planning on FURTHER buffing survivors by looking at non meta perks. And the funniest bit is they're going to further nerf killer by nerfing the already very weak percentage slow down perks like dying light, thana, ect.
BHVR is legitimately biased as ######### and they're not evening trying to hide it.
You're totaling leaving out the part that makes them "nerfing", which they're not even doing, seem bad. They said they were trying to make it so that killers couldn't have four slowdown perks in a build that synergize with eachother.

I think you guys would be pleasantly surprised how well these would be recieved
1...most important..give nurse her base kit back..do whatever you want to her addons..though I'd recommend the cd addons be changed to boost fatigue fov a little..may even help with the queasiness people get..nerf any problematic addons..and please..aura read on blink hit instead of 3 blinks for her red addon..seriously itd be much better for both parties involved..seriously I'd trade every addon my nurse has just to have nurse with her old base with none..she would be fun..still have the same counterplay..and no busted addons to worry about..nurse in her prime was still very capable of losing and did..a lot
2..clown needs to have notches on his reload meter..each notch is a bottle..this helps him get that one bottle he may need to end a chase and rewards bottle conservation with a faster reload as less notches =less reload time..I'd also boost his base gas hindered effect some..hes supposed to be a chaser but is really bad at it
3. Hag..test out having no range on her teleports..this changes nothing of her gameplay it just encourages different addons and reduces maps as a factor in match outcomes as it should be for everyone..however hag is the easiest to fix in this area..her traps already have plenty of weaknesses and require good setup already so I feel this would just make her feel smoother
4.demogorgan..increase his post teleport undetectable to 5 seconds base..this allows more efficient portal plays and may help boost his playrate and play styles a bit..portals already have a lot of downsides...may as well improve them
5..plague..Give her a sickness stage 3 that has the same parameters as deep wound (doesnt progress whole sprinting and plague cannot make it progressing any way) but if downing is too boring incur some other severe penalty instead..this turns plagues counter play from DENY to DELAY..this will make her more appealing and change up the monotony her rounds usually end up being..let's the killer actually have control of their own power as it should be
6..legion..make feral frenzy the precursor to some other power..make it lime oni in a way..enough stabs and you unlock a new set of abilities for the legion..something to help his chase..though I'm not entirely sure how it should function..a new type of frenzy with some punch to it..also if when he hits he could flip his knife for a blood wipe that would be pretty sweet
7..Oni..after fixing his turning allow him to fake swings in the same manner as demogorgan so he can actually use his power at tiles and mind game a little to compensate for his strict limitations
Hopefully we can think of some more in the comments..theres plenty of creativity here and could really spice up the game
Agree with most of them other than clown and hag. He's already spammy enough without being able to get another bottle in a few seconds

I’m the OP of the post “Killers and Tunneling” worth a read to understand my title.
Anyways a little rant:
i take back all I said about Killers and Tunneling. Survivors are literally beyond toxic in this game. Playing against red rank SWF is the most annoying thing about this game. I would rather encounter a tunneling or hook camping killer than continue to be queue’d with the survivors I have been lately.
My Experiences go like this:
- Join Lobby.
- 4 survivors queue in
- no toolbox; so, no suspected “gen-rush”
- match starts
- I encounter a stray Feng, who’s just running in circles
- She Sprint Bursts as I approach, leaving me confused, but I’ve seen this before.
- Chase ensues and I land a hit.
- Another Feng runs by and scrambles the scratch marks.
- I hit her. Down her. Hook her.
- The other self-cares.
- I walk away. BOOM!
- unhook.
- I run back and hit the Feng that unhooked.
- The other comes by and scrambles the marks.
- 1 gen done.
- I get looped by two Fengs, I drop the chase and go check gens.
- Chase a Claudette.
- Down her. Hook her.
- Instant unhook. Followed by body blocks. (Fengs of course)
- *fast forward*
- 1 gen remains. All totems on map destroyed so no hope for NoED.
- I patrol the last 4 gens in a line.
- Of course, both Fengs continue to gen tap trying to bait me into a chase.
- I don’t chase as I’m already annoyed by them.
- Last gen finished. I down the Claudette at the gate (death hook)
- Both Fengs start a chase. I down one, hook her.
- i camp, because...
- gates open. Feng unhooks Feng and attempts a body block.
- I down the injured Feng after a failed DH at the Exit Gate.
- BAM DECISIVE ######### STRIKE
- They proceed to T-Bag at the exit.
- The other survivor across the map at the other exit gate proceeds to spam vaults or whatever
- Finally leaves after I don’t come.
End of Match:
matchmaking logic:
Rank 2 Survivor
Rank 2 Survivor
Rank 1 Survivor
Rank 2 Survivor
Rank 6 now 7 Killer (I’ve de-ranked 3 ranks now, which I’m fine with as long as I eventually get placed with survivors trying to enjoy the game and not be toxic.)
I don't understand how that's toxic. The only thing that I seen as toxic is the t bagging, but other than that it seems the survivors were just surviving.

I love this game. I've been playing it seriously for about 2 years. I only have about 22 days on it, which to me is insanely high, but apparently not here. Lol.
My point is, there is so much whining in this community. Why don't we just play and adapt. Im 26 years old so maybeim just too old to get worked up about it. But it's a great game, sometimes they make changes i dont like. Oh well, its still the same game at it's core. Why do we have to see hundreds of threads asking for nerfs and buffs everyday?
Has there ever been a single day where no one has posted a salt thread on here?
I don't want this to turn into Siege where we're banning survivors and killers before matches. But honestly, that's the next logical step.
I like the trash talk, it's a part of this game. But let's stop the begging for it to be tailored to our exact liking.
Killer main. And contrary to popular opinion, i love facing SWF. It's sweeter when you win those. I almost wish there were a rematch button sometimes for those. Lol
In switch there is a rematch button, just click ready. Lol. I literally get the same killer a few times in a row so I memorise their loadout and try to counter it. But when they have NOED I'm pretty useless because I just run around the map looking for all the totems to cleanse them. Lol.

@Almo said:
This is by design. We want players to be able to choose who they are based on their preference for the character, then not be restricted in terms of gameplay due to that decision.
I get that, but it would be cool if like Meg had a bit faster running speed, Claudette could heal like 5% faster, and so on and so forth for other survivors. Just my opinion, but I think that would be cool. Still I understand.

It's still two people escaping way before they should be able to. I find both keys and moris to be in bad taste and only use them if it's a daily or archive.
But I still feel like moris are more powerful than keys because for a mori you only have to hook the person once. For keys you have to get a few gems done.

I hate to use everything in the game just to complete the challenge, like slugging, tunneling, proxy camping.. I don't like these tactics as they ruin survivor's fun. I have never played the game like this before, but I'm forced to do so just to complete the challenge.
i don't know why devs decided to make this a challenge. This challenge promotes toxic behavior more than any other challenges, so in another word, devs are encouraging people to be toxic.
I think they should change this challenge right away, but what do you think?
I completed it after my second try. Just use trapper and hope basement is at shack, and put traps at every exit once you hook someone. Use addons like tar bottle and the sacks.

2 gens left and the hatch spawns, you can then use the key to escape, and your friends can use the open hatch too. Same thing as a mori, allows you to end the game sooner.

Go and read the full discussion. I’m a killer main. The point is, killers abuse tunneling. I played 4 straight matches where I died within 5 minutes and was the only survivor hooked. My team attempted body blocks, crossing paths, etc and I was tunneled. It has nothing to do with complaining and more so bringing awareness to how abusive it is. You can only run from a killer so much before you’re caught. On console, you get hit when you really shouldn’t have. I don’t care about perks that was never my argument. I said killers have perks to be viable without tunneling. Survivors have perks to be viable without trolling s killer. However, killers are vastly above survivors in viability for gameplay. Tunnel and you win regardless of getting a 4K. Survivors are solo when it comes to rank, I lost 4 pips because I was tunneled from start til I died without a single other survivor being touched. 3 gens eliminated. I don’t care cause it’s simple to regain rank. From a killers perspective, tunneling is unnecessary to win.
Yeah, I hate that. Especially when I waited 30 minutes to get into a 4 or 5 minute match.
-
@SquirrelKnight said:
Can i just say this one thing? If you are a survivor and get tunneled, its tike to use that to draw the killer away from your team so you cam be accomplishing something instead of crying that its happening. And likewise for killers if you are being looped then leave and dont chase that person anymore, all they are doing is wasting your time. I know people are upset that killers have all these killing and tough perks, but so do survivors. Could you imagine is survivors had hex style perks that a killer could remove? The killer is the power role and has to kill to win and the survivors have to survive to win. Stop complaining about how it isnt fair that the killer has to tunnel someone sometimes and make use of it. Or go piss off and let the rest of your team lose cause you go full moron
Usually when you get tunneled you are in the injured state. So, you can't really loop the killer that long.

You admit you intentionally tunnel because a survivor is better than you. Take a minute to realize how toxic that is. If you play killer and you get looped for all 5 gens, that’s literally your fault and not the survivors. There are COUNTERS to LOOPING, there are NO COUNTERS to TUNNELING.
Killers are blessed with perks and add ons to eliminate survivors fairly quickly. A Mirrored Mike with the perks I’ve listed is a prime example. Survivors have no method of countering tunneling or hook camping. Yeah, there’s DS, but as I’ve mentioned, miss the skill check and gg and it’s a one and done perk. Meanwhile, a killer can stalk down the ONE survivor they chose to tunnel and rid them. You can’t complain about survivors having the capability of gen rushing when you risk all your time tunneling.
Maybe I should’ve specified my peeve against tunneling. You cannot counter it. No matter how good of a survivor you are, it takes one half-decent killer to ruin your game. Name a toxic survivor tactic that can’t be countered and is on the same level as Tunneling?
DS? One and done perk, possibility of missed skill check.
DH? Puts you in exhausted, if you fail you’re caught, slim chance of escape.
BT? Have to be in killers radius (Hook Campers) and lasts for one hit, has to mend self and can still be tunneled.
Gen Rush? Ruin, Thrilling Tremors, Corrupt Intervention, Thanatophobia, and probably missing other perks
It takes a really good 4-man survivor team to win or troll a killer. Most survivor teams consist of solo players or 2-man coms. So it’s 1v1-1-1-1
Most survivor speed perks result in exhausted. Tunneling is a legit unnecessary and toxic tactic that killers use as a petty maneuver as you’ve vastly expressed.
I completely agree with you and it's so annoying when the killer just follows me when someone unhooked me with borrowed time just to kill me. (They don't hit me so borrowed time doesn't activate).

Playing in a way I don't like = Bad at the game.
Seriously though the OP is right. I recently had a match in Grim Pantry where I hooked a survivor and instantly the other 3 survivors swarmed the hook. I of course stayed there and got some hits. They unhooked the survivor while I got another down. When I came back to the hook the survivor that had just gotten unhooked was sabotaging it. So I downed her, hooked the other person, and carried her to another hook. Then I started getting XBL messages calling me a camper and tunneler. She was under the impression that the killer MUST leave the hook even if her entire team is running around it. That's not camping.
That's not what I meant. I mean either staying in the vicinity of the hook or after someone unhooks, even if you hit the unhooker, you still go after the person who was hooked.

It isn't camping if they know you're around. they don't see anyone with BBQ and chilly, they literally see you something else for survivor mains camping and tunneling is NOT BANNABLE also for killer mains looping,ds,bt (oh God I really hope no one reports for ds and bt) they are NOT BANNABLE oh and one more thing disconnecting IS BANNABLE
If there was a way to down vote, I would. Ds and Bt are Perks. There is a difference between perks and tactics for someone who's bad at the game.

I don't like using videos on forums but honestly I think if I'm going to use a video now would be a good time. It's by Tru3 love him or hate him, it's not really about him though as he didn't do anything spectacular, just did gens and saved.
If you didn't watch the video fine but tru3 on multiple occasions was destroyed by this Nurse player, seriously one of the better Nurse players I've seen since the nerf (Not that I went out of my way to find better nurse players). This Nurse had one bad chase and it was over, ruin and pop wasn't enough (pop she especially made use of). This Nurse's crime was... not playing like a (Bad Word), didn't tunnel anyone and he paid for it. Survivor mains if you're wondering why you get tunneled off of 2nd hook when there's 2-3 gens left this is why, it's not personal (usually) we'd just rather win. If this Nurse secured the kill on Tru3 he would've won, 3v1 is so much easier than 4v1 for obvious reasons. This wasn't even a Swf group, those aren't a problem themselves but when they're there they make certain problems worse.
Tl:dr bottom line is we need to reduce gen speed or add a small secondary objective for survivors to do like making dull totems give a small slowdown penalty to gens per each totem active, this way it doesn't feel like such a waste of time watching someone do a totem next to a gen, actually gives them a reason to exist aside from 1k boldness.
Added on after: to make up for these changes I also want to see killers punished for playing like ######### for example tunneling one dude into the ground at the start of the match/blatant facecamping. I was thinking for being in a certain proximity to the hook (10-14 meters something like that) survivor repair/heal speeds increase by a fair bit as to punish facecamping just to secure an easy win. This way it rewards killers for playing fair by making gens just a little more manageable while punishing those who go out of there way to be ######### and gives the survivors a real chance to get gens done even while someone is pretty much out of the game.
I totally agree with you about the face camping thing. I just played a match and got hooked after trying to protect a teammate, so my teammate unhooks me and the Ghost Face decides to come out from behind the wall he was hiding and get me. So, I'm on my second hook get rescued, then he comes out of nowhere again and sacrifices me.

Ummmm...No. the whole reason I don't like using keys is because if I leave too early I won't get any good emblems and I won't get good BP. But if I decide to wait it out I usually die so I just don't use keys. Unless the survivor plays the whole game out then uses the key they aren't rewarded. Any bad unhook is on the unhooker, not the killer.

Survivor's are not concerned of the killer's fun, why should the killer be concerned for the survivor's?
Yeah, but how is a survivor supposed to do their job when they can't get ten meters from the hook? It's not fun for the person who just spent 10 mins waiting in a lobby to be camped and tunneled.

The prestige part is a nice idea, would help people get the achievement if they are achievement hunters and what not but thing is would those who chose Expert be allowed to go back and do Casual? Wouldn't make sense to...un-prestige. Wouldn't be fair for those who actually wanted a challenge in the first place to get an achievement and more rewards only to let the people who chose Casual and prestige later get those same rewards on top of getting all the BP and Rift Fragments from Casual Mode.
I wanted Expert to get something more as a prize for saying "Hey, you actually wanted a real challenge in your life. You're actually pretty skilled to be able to do this and wanna stick with it til the end."
No I meant that everyone would start casual and after completing those challenges, they can prestige to expert.
-
I feel like you're going in the right direction. But I think everyone should start out in "Casual" mode and once they complete it, they can prestige the Tome level to "Expert" or "Difficult" mode. And the prestige is optional, but you will get the more stuff. It would be so you can get all the extra things. It would make it to where you can complete challenges on your own time, and when you're done with the "Casual" you can just prestige and do the "Expert" challenges while you wait for the next tome level.

OMG that happened with me and my friends last night the Killer DC one minute after the game started all because we were all working on gens at the same time. We had been waiting for 15 minutes for a game and this crap happened it was ridiculous I tell you, it needs to stop and I'm glad that they're at least doing something about it. I heard in the update for the new killer that IF you DC on purpose you'll be blocked from playing for 20 minutes and I hope it's like a 3 strikes you're out system where if you continue to do DC you get banned from playing. If you can't play the game and you're such a baby you need to DC every time or don't like the Killer or whatever then you shouldn't be playing DBD in the first place.
In my opinion, I don't think they would ever do a three strikes you're out thing. Frankly I don't even think they should. I'm not trying to be rude I'm just saying that I payed $40 for this game and I don't want to be permabanned for three DCs. I rarely DC the only time I do is when I get found at the beginning, get put on the hook, get taken off the hook, put right back on the hook, get taken off once more, and then right back on.

Not really. Survivors don't need to rely on perks to win. Killers do for the most part. Every perk choice impacts how they play, and being down just one perk (could even be lost within the first 30 seconds of the game) is such a detriment to them. Killers are on the clock, not survivors.
It's a risk reward for survivors. Survivors would be sacrificing one perk slot because they want to remove one perk slot of the killer's. As of right now, there is only one perk killers can consistently deny, and that is Dead Hard. But that's only if they have an exposed perk. They can't even remove a survivor perk from the match. however, there are multiple killer perks which survivors can remove... as well as pressure them with rushing the objective.
Survivor is infinitely easier than killer, and giving this effect to totems would close the gap a little bit. Sure, survivor got plenty of nerfs, but they're all well deserved when you look at what DBD used to look like.
I literally just played a match in purple ranks as a lvl 2 Myers with one perk, but I still managed to sacrifice everyone with 2 gens still left.

...really? She was promised revenge. That means she wants to hurt him. If he was a Killer, he would be empowered, and her vengeance would be denied. "It's not like they'll ever cross paths during a trial" which ruins her lore.... i mean, come on. Why set it up if it's going to be totally disregarded/dumped on? That's the definition of bad writing, set up demands payoff.
I know it's a stupid idea, but it could possibly be the mom?
