I wouldn't say it is rare, I see it maybe once out of every 4-5 games, and it usually happens only after gens go really fast. I maybe see hard tunneling once out of every 6-7 games, and rarely do I see face camping. I do see proxy camping often though.
I also noticed console players camp and tunnel more often than pc players do. But that may just be my experience.
As a console player, I've noticed fellow xbox players being worse. But I blame the matchmaking. I have about 105 days worth of playtime and when I check their profile they only have like 1 or 2 and often are the weak link. Why the game is pairing us up is beyond me. I can't tell other peoples playtime or not so thats just my experience

Seems a lot of people here have varied definitions for the terms. For a not insignificant number, tunneling is any time they are hooked twice, and camping is the killer remaining on that half of the map after hooking. Under those definitions, you'll see it a lot more often.
Thats a weird definition. My definition would be if a killer goes out of their way to try and hook the same survivor. Getting hooked twice fast can happen without tunneling imo. Either through the killer doing well with snowballing, or idiotic decisions from the survivors. Like farming or not lasting long enough in chases to get back to the first guy

Victor's pounce has always been buggy. A millimeter of elevation and you can't pounce, go through survivors, pounce at the air and still down...
Actually Twins is better to play now because of some helpful undocumented changes
Oh those were changes? I thought they were bugs. I'm happy they got something like that it makes them feel so much better to play

That was obvious. Of course they could go back. The real question is are they going to feel like it. Which the answer is no and we are stuck with something that nobody asked for

Well, they were told about this in the PTB https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/220665/timer-bar-on-hud-not-glowing-anymore-when-paused#latest
It was dismissed like everything else.
Sad that it was ignored. Information like that was vital in solo queue

Lmao I have 1800 hours and I didn't know this #########...
I dont exactly remember when it was added because it wasnt in the game in the start I believe. I think it was something with deep wound change a while back (could be completely wrong I forgot).
But yea if a downed survivor is getting healed the bar would glow so ppl used that info to know they dont need to rush in to get the heal

But it looks pretty...
Yea pretty unnecessary

Healing didn't have a bar or a glow. No comment on anything else tho.
Mb I shouldve elaborated. When a downed survivor was being healed the bar glowed red. I'm certain of that

If I counted right you have 3 or 4 pallets in the essentially a single room right below your spawn. Crazy!
The 2 below are the old God pallets and the other is blocked by a door if the gen isnt done. But I agree there are way too many pallets

And for you too
That Show that playing survivor make fun. So why make it unfun with tunneling Killer?
You sound very one dimensional. Think about how killers felt with survivors abusing perks and them having to deal with the same meta forever while killers meta is always getting nerfed and changed. Its not all about you. Give an actual reason why you don't like the change instead of saying "The ds change is so unfun and unfair."

pretty sure the devs literally said they don't want the survivor to be punished for looking at the killer.

Since Pig is from SAW I've always thought the idea of adding the ability for survivors to take a permanent debuff for the rest of the trial to remove Pig's trap immediately a fun idea. While removing the trap you could hit a specific button, your trap pops off, and then you're locked in a mini screen where you have to select one of four randomely chosen debuffs that are permanently on you for the rest of the trial.
This could be stuff like:
- Permanently exhausted
- Broken
- Slower gen repair
- Slower heal speeds
- No item usage
Stuff like that. SAW was always about making a sacrifice to get through his trials. This would not only align with the movies, but fix the RNG issue by allowing survivors to remove the trap at a penalty.
I like the ideas of this. This could lead to her being more interesting though I would change the debuffs
-
I personally don't run gen slowdown perks on hag. I let the first few gens fly and make a comeback with her snowball potential. Ruin is nice, but she has slow movement so its hard to defend gens. I recommend STBFL its a godsend on her. Honestly depends on ur style

If Visionary showed the progression of generators via aura intensity then it would be an actually viable perk to run. I know i'd run it. I would exclude it showing survivor auras because it could negate ones like Bond and so on.
I second this. I would definitely use visionary more if it had this buff.

"Its that it takes alot more work to do what other killers can do."
That is literally why people are calling them trash. You spend a lot more time than other killers doing things that have a lot more counter play than other killers.
I get people say that I just personally dont think they are the worst in the game. When I mean more work I meant more like if you make a mistake with them it costs you alot more. Granted that goes for all killers but it's more with them.
They kinda like hag where you have a different playstyle with them except they take alot more skill and it's just less effective than hag
-
I stand by the argument that hexs should be strong enough to warrant to search for. Thats like saying you will run red herring over diversion(Not the best comparison but bear with me). Red herring is weak and will likely get no use while diversion has a chance to actually get a play off of it. Nobody wants to waste a perk slot for something that won't help them. And as for the "do bones" response, you could honestly bring a map to not waste a perk slot if it becomes repetitive to keep finding totems
-
My main problem with them isnt being trash. Its that it takes alot more work to do what other killers can do. Using victor can be so punishable with 1 wrong move that can set you back alot. I don't think they are the worst killer but I feel like they are too counterable for the little reward you get for playing the Twins

I'm always a fan of killing two birds with one stone, so I thought it would be cool to not only have Autodidact increase the frequency of skill checks, but to rework the Luck stat in a similar way by having it make skill checks more frequent. This would not only make Luck offerings more appealing to use, since more skill checks would be beneficial to survivors who can hit Great Skill Checks, it would also make Up the Ante a more useful perk as well.
Honestly what an amazing idea that is
-
It makes me so happy people dont think twins isnt the worst killer anymore

If they did turn off chase music you would get extremely bored of chasing survivors, and being chased. Like it would turn very monotonous, the music is an important part of what makes the chases in DbD enjoyable, and if it's a killer like Deathslinger that's the only thing that makes it enjoyable.
at the very least it would be nice to be able to turn it down instead of it being gone
-
If it makes you feel any better I like these suggestions😁
-
Unpopular opinion: I really like the twins and am happy they went with a different approach with a killer. That does not mean there are glaring issues. One of my biggest issues is that a mistake with them feels like it could lose you the game. Miss one pounce? Get kicked and lose all your pressure. They have too many counters imo.
-
I honestly would wait on getting him since he is bugged rn

One of the major gripes I have with the new idle animation is the fact that, in the lore, survivors are terrified of killers.
Their current animations reflect this, with them being hunched down, ready to run or hide at any moment.
The new animations don't reflect the fear that survivors are supposed to be feeling. Instead the idle has them standing straight up. While this is good posture, it is not indicative of their fear.
Yes this is my major complaint as well. Their animations don't reflect the atmosphere at all
-
I feel like it's more of the devs priorities. They'll change what they want and ignore what they want based on their own agenda. That's why things get changed when nobody asked for it and long time issues stay

If I was doing that I'd have dead harded to guaranteed the pallet regardless of turning or not. There's almost no circumstances where that would actually deny a killer a down.
That's not true at all. If anything, people who mess up with deadhard with mis aiming it now can just get it for free. Making it easier and stronger. Also there is new juke potential with the whole 180 dead hard. Not useless at all and hopefully a bug
-
@Terro said:
That doesn't even seem to be that useful. It wouldn't even make a difference.
What are you talking about? That is extremely useful. Imagine being able to deadhead around tight corners to guarantee the pallet. That would make it even more busted then it already is.

What was the point of urban evasion before the fixated buff?
There was none, but now that's its buffed theres no more excuses other than non having Nancy.

Legions biggest issue is that hes always bugged. Like rn with his lunge
-
@lupo_grigio said:
the acceleration is complete trash right now, is just broken, and just makes you miss a bunch of hits, pure bs
That's another thing I noticed. Someone was just sitting under a pallet so I went to lunge for them anyway and my momentum was like non existent and I went nowhere
-
@Trashmaster said:
Clunky? There's no word to describe the absolute state of the legion, though it seems to favour the killer with that absolute lunge
How would a lunge that's worse favor the killer
-
@Slashstreetboy said:
That would be great. If you are on steam, you can at least check your own stats (overall) and check those of others out on a website.
It was shocking to see how high certain people have scored in certain categorys, for example TheEntityLeftHand having 10k bear trap catches whereas Otz has around 1500. There´s also a guy who downed almost 23k Survivors with Onis power.
That's cool. It's nice to see that kind of stuff. I'm on xbox so all I can see is playtime and overall escapes/ kills
-
@BattleCast said:
Yep, Legion's lunge is bugged. Don't lunge in a Feral Frenzy if you don't need to is the best advice I can give.
That sucks
Hes becoming the new plauge where hes bugged after every fix😭

@gibblywibblywoo said:
Shes very weak and the most effective way of playing her is very boring and slow.
Theres not much point in putting time it to "learn" her when her only effective playstyle against a good team is proxy camping.
I personally dont play her like that. What I've learned with playing her is she can get alot of people injured fast so that's what I do. Constantly switching targets. I get someone with victor then walk over to somebody else.
Think of it like an oni/legion playstyle cuz she can get rlly good with snowballing as well if given the opportunity
-
Dedicated servers ruined part of the game for me. Grabs not working, I could actually play plauge, I wouldn't get hit if I actually vaulted the pallet. The game was better without it. I versed more killers with good connection anyway. Now its just always bad
-
Oh I use this perk a lot of the time for this reason. Too many times where I'm almost finished a gen and the killer comes and has ruin so I just use it on the gen and save progress.
Imo, you are guaranteed to get it activated for use if you aren't the first person found. By the time the chase ends with another person, you should have it. I like it personally just for the fact it can delay ruin or waste a pop. Since people are gen hungry when they have pop, it can waste their tie since it will either deactivate or they will go back to the gen and wait for it to deactivate. This gives you time to go on another
-
I doubt people would use the perk even if it was buffed. The only good use it had was if you couldn't hit ruin skillchecks
-
Well that makes sense. I like those maps on either side. I think Gas Heaven is one of the best maps
-
I agree. I miss when dedicated servers weren't a thing and I could actually grab survivors. Even when they jump out a locker it does that dumb phantom animation
-
The only reason I got it was for Adams cosmetic. But yea this rift feels really grindy compared to before
-
I'm actually looking forward to this nerf. He has way too much going for him. And its incredibly easy to do so. From my experience, most freddy's will bloodlust you with snares around a pallet until you are downed. Then he goes off to teleport to a gen where pop comes in or ruin hits and the gen regresses. And then rinse and repeat.
He is incredibly annoying and boring doing the same thing. Idk about swf but with solos its difficult to beat him. I'm not saying he deserves a mega nerf, imo I just think he should be toned down because he has alot going for him with little effort. I wish old freddy got buffed tbh😞

Mori's were the only reliable way to beat a 4 man red rank meta SWF if you were not playing an A or S tier killer. Now you load into a 4 man SWF lobby and you are demo or something? You might as well dodge unless you want to be their plaything.
I will be playing a lot less of the weaker killers after this patch, I can tell you that.
Well from my experience, I dont run into those teams often enough. Those are the tourney squads and stuff which rarely happen for me. I didn't bring a mori against them because I run into them once and never see them again. If you keep running into them or know you're going against a tourney squad, wouldnt it just be better to dodge and save yourself the trouble?
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
No, Moris are your excuse to use when someone has a key.
Moris are easy mode and any excuse killers get to use them, they'll use the excuse.
Thank Jesus for the nerf, now you actually have to put in work for your Mori, because with keys, some gens, some work has to be put into before using them.
I don't think ppl need an excuse to bring a mori. What if they just like the killers mori animation. Nice for people to have the option available

Franklins is not effective, survivors have figured out how to play around franklins very well.
As soon as you see that franklins is in play, you pick your key back up, and hide it in a corner of the map and then you use the key once the hatch spawns.
Not everyone does this. Besides, if you play well enough they might not have the opportunity to get back to it and use it. Point is I don't think moris countered keys because somebody else would just pick it up anyway. Mori nerf was expected and idk why this is the biggest hot take from the patch notes.
-
@Reinami said:
Why are you nerfing one while not nerfing the other? Nobody disagrees that they both need to be changed. They are both awful for the game. But you can't nerf the only reliable counter to keys, and then leave keys the same. It is going to be miserable for a while now until keys are fixed.
Lies. ppl could still use a key with moris but I highly doubt the vast majority of ppl bring an ebony mori once they see a key. More likely to see franklins since that's way more effective imo. Anyways it probably takes animation time to fix keys so thats why they didn't do it yet. I don't mind the mori nerf since I rarely use them anyway. Just another junk in the bloodweb now
-
Imagine lockers being the biggest counter to a killer. How silly
