I disagree. 5th perk will make gameplay more fun and it will still balanced, it is just ONE perk and you refuse your oferings & -25% BPs

Idk it just seems hard to balance. Even if it is a tier 1 perk, why have it if its restrictive on what perks can be used. Also I dont think BP gain is a good downside because there r ppl that dont care for bloodpoints

  • I'd rather not, it would just cause more problems

I swear the auto aim and range on Victors pounce is hilarious. There is no consistency, his pounce lands no matter what you do. Seriously it's really bad. They need to stop hand-holding console players, remove auto aim and actually put some skill back into the game with manual aim.

What do you mean hand holing console players... we didn't ask for it either and it screws us over as much as everyone

Welcome to the console experience :^)

That has been in the game for quite a long time.

It's kinda inconsistent too.Sometimes dead hard and sprint burst freezes my game for a second and sometimes it doesn't

Thats what I'm saying. Its usually inconsistent but for me now it always lags when somebody uses it

Devour Hope is pretty decent on them. Once you get 3 stacks you can leave Victor to patrol the totem and go Alpha Charlotte through the map.

Im gonna try this right now. Sounds fun

  • @rottmeister said:

Does make your choice trigger if you put Charlotte relatively close to the hook, but control Victor from afar?

If so, MYC may be a great perk on them.

No. Charlotte would have to be away from the hook. otherwise it wouldn't trigger

Make Your Choice is not tied to terror radius. It only triggers if the killer is 32 meters away from the hook. You should try to learn a bit of the other role before making assumptions.

If only everyone in the community did this.

I was playing Trapper on the new auto haven and apparently you cannot place traps at exit gates anymore.. Did I overlook the patch notes cause I didn't see anything about it there. Why would you do this devs? Trapper's VERY end game already sucks why make it worse?

My guess is that they bugged the code from victor to the trapper since he can't be on exit gates. Who really knows tho

you could always go into your tv settings to change brightness and colors there, most tvs are auto set for tv mode instead of game mode which affects color, saturation, and brightness

Wow that helped alot. Actually fixed the issue. Ima need to use this as the default now. Thx again

I'll try that out thx for the suggestion

  • @Mooks said:

It is an asymmetrical game. There doesn’t need to be a counterpart for everything on both sides.

I agree. Goes both ways as well.

  • I'm not doing this... It was annoying enough last time to try and get a code. Idc if there are console specific codes this time, I didn't like watching streamers at all. The dwight crow was at least cool looking, this is just a cake

  • Well another bug is that if a survivor goes in a locker just pounce at them and it will still hit them. Guess they fixed the locker problem

  • Nobody has done it to me but I do it sometimes if we are definetly going to win. If im working on a gen with ppl I try and get them to get off the gen right before its completed, Then i use my repressed alliance and block the gen😈. It funny looking at them staring in shock. I only do this i\f ik we will still win afterwards

  • @JBWarrior said:

######### killers ask to rework ds (kinda unfair perk) now dh which is super fair. You are entitled af if you think dh needs a change.

Great feedback👍️. Also you don't have to refer to ppl as killers since most play both roles. From the way you say it makes it sound like you only play survivor so you don't understand both sides equally, and/or there's a bad stigma within the dbd community which groups ppl into either survivor main or killer main based on their opinions (which is dumb and would end a lot of negativity if ppl didnt just pick sides.)

  • Ima be completely honest. If ik a person DS me earlier in the match and they get off the hook and I see them shortly after out of position I'm most likely gonna kill them. However if I down them on hook I'll usually slug and their survival depends on whether their teammates pick them up be4 I finish chasing the unhooker

Are you serious? When somebody speaks to you and the first thing you say in response is "That's a dumb reasoning" you're being rude...

Well I apologize I worded my sentence wrong. That being said, I still stand by my reasoning

  • I was saying that reasoning is but I guess a better word is flawed. If they are using SB, it will most likely be used in the beginning. And if ppl 99 it? Cool. Not many ppl do and its uncommon for all 4 ppl to have SB. Unlike dead hard. It's not uncommon for all 4 ppl to be using DH. As stated before, if they have sprint burst, I have the decision to make if I want to chase or leave them. With DH if they arent in a loop it's easy to wait it out but of they are in a loop and dh to a window then you cant do anything unless you're a specific killer

  • All strong perks should have counter play. Ruin+Undying has a counter. Cleanse totems. BBQ has counter. Go in a locker or get close to hook. And other survivor perks that have that potential to save you build up over time through other actions or have conditions like mettle of man, borrowed and others. Dead hard for distance is the only one without one. And the new lunge perk will not hell since you're speed is not increased and just the duration of the lunge

  • @Flownominal said:

I'm not arguing it's not a strong perk, it is. But it's not ALWAYS a strong perk with all the ways it can fail. Hell, when I DH to reach a window it always fat vaults me and I take a hit anyways. What I'm seeing is people being upset with high caliber play from highly competent players. While I agree balancing should be done around top rank gameplay, the rest of you are talking about nerfs based on top tier players. All that does every time is slightly alter the meta and make everyone cry about the next perk. And if we're going to do that, we should start with problems that effect all levels of player, not just the best. Like basement bubba's with insidious. Or aggressive use of DS.

It would be great to switch the survivor meta. Its been the same for years aside from time to time like when mettle of man came out or the wake up bug. Killers meta has changed to something better but also more counterable by surviivors. All it takes is one of the following to counter the ruin/undying meta; a map, detectives hunch, map knowledge, or just sticking on gens (but thats more on the killers skill if they can pressure the gens.) Point is it would be nice to see a healthier survivor meta

  • @Ace_Ventura said:

Contrary to what some unknowing or unknowledgable people above are saying, you can't counter an optimal use of dead hard. The most optimal use is for distance, and done correctly, it can not be countered. There is zero counter play to it.

To fix dead hard, honestly, there should just be an animation/action lock on it. Meaning, after you dead hard, you can't simply vault into a window or throw a pallet immediately. Much like say...the Doctor. After he shocks you, he can NOT immediately hit you. There's about a 1.5 cooldown between shocks and bops.

It's funny, too - so many people live by dead hard as if using it makes them a good survivor. The same people who whine about things like ruin/undying, no less. No, you're not a good survivor if you press a button to launch yourself forward AND get yourself iframes. You're just a bot. Plain and simple. The very idea that a perk exists that can immediately and fully rectify a critical looping error from a survivor is actually kind of insane.

Exhaustion perks overall I believe are problematic, to be honest. Even the survivors with 7k+ hours you see on Twitch - without them, they would be mediocre at best, and they are mediocre at best, because they are nothing without their exhaustion crutch, just as ruin/undying bots are nothing without their slowdown crutch.

This^. And I like your solution. It fixes the main problem but keeps the perks main identity. Alot of people here think i'm talking about dh to dodge a hit when dh for distance is what in talking about and uncounterable

  • @gatsby said:

For a long time, I thought that balanced landing was too niche and map specific to be useful. I only used it for challenges and pretty much nothing else. Until I realized I was looking at the perk completely wrong. Balanced Landing isn't meant to be used as a single exhaustion perk it's meant to be used as a secondary exhaustion perk.

Running Dead Hard with Balanced Landing means I can actively chose which perk is best for which scenario. It gives me a ton more options because some maps are awesome for Balanced and others aren't so much. Plus, players in this game are really locked into the only one exhaustion perk mindset so once I use Dead Hard or Balanced the Killer will play around my exhaustion perk, which can cause them to make some super massive misplays.

You probably don't want to run Balanced Landing with Sprint Burst, but all the other exhaustion perks are fair game. Mix and match. You'll have more options in chase and seriously mess with Killers heads.

I personally don't run it anymore with more than 1 exhaustion perk since they got rid of the stagger when exhausted, however I still love it and find me using that as one of my primary perks (other than sprint burst).

  • No not at all😅. Im jus sayiing the only way I would buy one is if it were robin cuz im a huge fan. But yes I wish they had more voice lines and better animations

Yes, I've seen. What I don't understand get is why are you so mad at a perk that is not even working correctly. DH always gained you distance and before servers, it also allowed you to dodge a hit consistently. It's an exhaustion perk, it is supposed to be powerful as it only lasts 0.5 sec compared to the other exhaustion perks that last for 3 to 5 seconds and you cannot change its direction once started.

What I really wish was that you could see beyond punctual evidence, bc if you don't you will continue frustrating yourself whenever someone uses the perk in matches.

Ima just stop becuz the fact that you are still stating dead hard doesnt work correctly and ignoring the fact it has no counterplay makes this discussion meaningless.

Since we're cherry picking examples, here goes one from the same player around the same time:

    https://youtu.be/AtlD3fSzQvY?t=134

But he didn't even go for the pallet. And he wasnt even looping him. This just shows u dont know what I'm talking about. He probably couldve made it to the pallet without dead hard. He wasn't dead Harding for distance in that example, he was dead Harding to avoid a hit which isn't the strongest way to use it and very counter able. The example i used literally nothing the killer could do to stop the guy

  • @lagosta said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1775038#Comment_1775038

Yes, there is a reason why it's popular, it's in my first response. If you keep telling yourself that there is no counterplay despite even other killers arguing otherwise than this discussion is fruitless. What DH does better then other exhaustion perks is showing you the opportunities you missed, but you're not arguing that SB robbed of the first hit in that unsafe gen or the tile transition that BL or Lithe allowed them to make on you. DH is just in your face and that seems to be the frustrating aspect that you're trying to address.

    https://youtu.be/R0qzfsGlQJ8?t=379

6:19 is an example. granted he was doctor and could of shocked but thats just one killer. For some killers there is nothing they could of done to prevent that. He would of gotton a hit because he messed up but since he had DH he was saved. I dont see how this is a missed opportunity when the killer could do nothing.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1774978#Comment_1774978

And I fail to see how you're arguing that a 0.5 burst of speed is more valuable than 3 seconds offered by other perks in the same situation. If you really think DH is OP the best advice I have to you is exhaustively use it and ask yourself sincerely if you wouldn't had a better benefit from other perks. If you don't wanna invest your time doing this, check content creators that use them to the fullest potential and you'll understand that DH is inconvenient for you as a killer but other perks can be much worse. I recommend Ussylis for Sprint Burst.

Well for starters Lithe and Balanced are situational so they are not better. The only real contender is Sprint Burst. Also take into account I like sprint burst more and use it more. The problem with dead hard is that you can do everything right as a killer and they will still be able to get another loop again with DH. THERE IS NO COUNTERPLAY. You could use SB or DH depending on your playstyle. SB lets you get a head start and sometimes even makes the killer not try and chase you. The problems with DH is that it just robs a good play from the killer that otherwise wouldve gotten the hit. And it gets even more unfair when every chase you have this happens when everyone is running DH (there is a reason it is the post popular exhaustion perk).

  • @Yords said:

Pretty sure that it is actually getting reworked.

From what ik (I may be wrong I heard it a whole ago) that the only thing they were doing do Dead Hard was to make it more consistantly somehow where it would bug out. I may be wrong but I swear I heard them say that on a dev stream

  • @OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

Dead hard is easily a perk that i hate THE most.

Whenever i do a really good mindgame or use my power really well (e.g blight) the survivor just taps a button and bam,you get nothing.

Yes! I'd be different if there were any sort of counter play to it or and risk on their side but there isnt any. It's all reward

  • @Pizzaman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/208618/i-wish-dead-hard-would-get-reworked

Imagine complaining about DH while Killers literally have a builtin DH that has a marginal cooldown compared to DH, where "all you have to do is" hold "a button and get a free boost".

I'll assume you're talking about bloodlust. First of all ur assuming I'm a killer main I play both sides. And bloodlust in some situations is necessary due to some map designs. While its defo a problem if u hit BL2 or more but overall BL1 is not a big deal and rarely happens with good killers. It's only bad killers who abuse bloodlust

  • @pepperoninipples said:

DH is not that big of deal. It's called waiting it out a few seconds. No big deal. Once you seen it on a certain survivor. Then you know to always bait it out. Honestly dh needs a good rework. Getting hit while dh is animating is be. Happens alot because of dedicated servers. Yes you can complain m1 to win for distance. But isn't that the same for all killers? Someone injured just m1. Got need just m1, got devour hope just m1, got haunted grounds just m1... see it's easy to make that remark.

Again you cant wait it out if they DH for distance in a loop

  • @gibblywibblywoo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1774894#Comment_1774894

Personally I think just cutting the distance to about 2/3s of what it is now and slightly extending the window of invulnerability would make it fairer. If you look at Davids perks it hilariously obvious that this perk was intended to bait killers out of already in place chases and absord hits for protection points with no mither. I highly doubt the devs ever intended it be used the way it mostly is now.

90% of the time it isnt used to actually absord the hit even in chases, its used to save a survivor that played badly.

I agree with this and think this is a fair trade. This makes it less effective for looping but more effective for its intended purpose

  • @lagosta said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1774972#Comment_1774972

Yes you can, just do not lunge. Walk behind them and tap M1.

If you are running a loop chasing a survivor. They will DH before they get in m1 range for distance to make the pallet or window. Otherwise if they hadn't had it, you would of hit them. My problem isnt using dead hard to miss a hit normally, my problem is using it for distance on a loop where you otherwise wouldve gotten a hit

  • @MikeyBoi said:

Dead hard is still quite easily countered. Just wait that extra couple of seconds when you catch up to the survivor after the first initial m1 and bait it out.

You cant counter this if they use DH for distance to a window or pallet. That's my problem. You cant counter it and you just feel robbed of a hit

  • Thanks for the suggestions. Will definitely put on Hawkins cuz I forgot that maps has alot of ballets. And I use brutal in my build anyway so that should help too😁

Unyielding is a great combo with Resilience and reduces grunts and whimpers of pain completely. It'd be a needless buff to Resilience, and I really doubt BHVR could pull off a 25% decrease.

    U mean iron will?

  • @JPLongstreet said:

Add to that sound cards that do this, and filters that do that, and settings that allow for this over here. Hard to deny any of this provides a level playing field, and that's without taking fps issues into account.

If you play on console as I do, expect these "options" as obstacles to overcome. Or there's that Crossplay off toggle of you wish.

Oh dont worry I've had crossplay off from the start😬. I just find it off alot of ppl do this cheat

Not really bad but definitely underrated, the Hag is imo the best Killer in the game. Traps are all about strategy, predicting where survivors will go and how to manipulate their movements. There's a bunch of tech involved in the seemingly simple traps (watch Michi's Hag guide if you don't know what I'm talking about), and a great Hag can 4k more easily than a Spirit or Nurse.

This. I love playing her she seems soo good and nobody plays her. Which kinda in the end makes ppl know less of how to deal with her

  • @StibbityStabbity said:

It's pretty clear that BHVR works on a fairly strict schedule for content updates. For them, pushing back content is pushing back profit, and they want the profit. As much as the community might want to see things released when they are truly ready, they operate as a business with a bottom line based on schedule cash injections via content sales. If you look at the video game market as a whole, you will see a LOT of games and content that got pushed out to meet a deadline, satisfy a fiscal quarter, etc, despite not being in a ready state. This is just business as usual in gaming.

I get that and all and I wouldn't be against it if this were the first time this happened. For every PTB, something is either broken, too weak, or unfunctional. Ends up with the killer being changed within the first few weeks, ignoring community concerns ( example the last killer who has had ALL decent add ons it probably the plauge). All im saying if that this has been repeating itself for years

    • Freddy should never have been reworked, his power was fun and interesting even if it was weak. The new Freddy is strong, but boring.
    • Insidious Bubba is fun, but not for facecamping. Being able to hide around a corner with an instadown and scare survivors to death is one of the funniest things you can do.
    • Autodidact is a good perk.
    • Old Legion was alright, and they didn't need a full rework. Yes, proxychasing and Frank's Mixtape was absolute BS and you were the worst kind of Legion main if you did this, but those could be fixed instead of throwing the entire killer out of the window. Turning another interesting killer into an M1 killer with extra steps was an absolute shame.

I didnt understand the game at the time but now that I do I can appreciate how interesting old freddy is. Imo new freddy has alot going for him and he feels oppressive when versing. I feel like they could of buffed him instead of reworking him.
