Same with perks and the relative lack of new gameplay mechanics... There is no reason to make this a killer main vs. survivor main thing. PainReliever is just stating his personal opinions. Who cares if his top 5 are three things that impact both sides and two things that mostly impact survivors? You agree with his points, so that should be enough.
Who said I'm making it a survivor vs killer argument. If you make a video saying problems with DbD I expect you to say problems on both sides, not just ones that affect you

Ok a question why are this maps not OK? And a "it's too big" is not a relly good reason. But yes this maps are ok If you ask me.
The reason for the hexy tourney is esay. Because they are swetty Killer mains who only Play OP Killers too have a esay win.
Let me start with too big is a good reason, it makes low mobility killers have a really hard time pressuring gens. So let's start
Ormond is the most survivor sided map
The game is killer sided as hell
Haddonfield is survivor sided
Temple of purgation is survivor sided
Some of the corn maps are survivor sided
Those are the main ones I remember. The hexy tourney wasn't even easy lmao, there was so many situations where "OP" killers like PH, Spirit and Nurse got clapped by a gen rushing swf. Yeah I'm gonna guess by your responses you aren't a English speaker and you are survivor biased as hell

its so noice, when the killer have a bad ping, and most time cant dedicated you, yah its not perfect but it is 1000x better then, the hits are killersided...
dead hard is still killersided, i was many time exhausted on the ground, pls bring more imuniti (time) for dead hard, i heard its 0,5 sec imuniti for DH its to less, look it to Sprintboost they give them more imuniti then DH...

He spent a lot of time talking about rehashed killer powers as well.
Which isn't a only killer issue. Rehashed killer powers can make survivor games boring. And I don't even agree with him on half the 10 killers have rehashed powers

I think it humanizes the killers for people. People won't accept that the slasher they're facing is a killing machine for the Entity. No matter what people will always, always try to identify with the bad guy. Yin and Yang and all that.
I call the shape Michael and I call The nightmare Freddy? Do I think they should be humanized? Hell no. Both of these sickos murdered tons of people, and freddy murdered children before he was a dream demon

Yeah this fine, it's just he has a smaller model.

Keys and Morus are frustratig yes. But the Rest mostly yll maps are ok. The only Map who need a change is Larrys. So I don't see the issue there. Swf are don't allowed to use perks, Sounds stupid right? Oh btw. who made this "Community-developed", his Community I guess. Oh and I remember as he tried his 50 streak on Trapper. He losed Idk 5 Times in a row against "Swf with Meta perks". He was very entiteld as he said without this perks they would not win. They diden't even used (but they had) Ub or Ds
Let me get this straight. You think every map but lery's is ok? Meaning the one killer balanced map and the whole lot of survivor ones are ok? I disagree but let's move on. You bring up he lost 5 times as trapper. Then you in the same breath say they were running small pp. Idk what you can even say anymore. Its trapper at red ranks which is already weak, then add the fact they all were running the meta and its virtually impossible to win. Although if you just think he is entitled just ask yourself why you never saw a B tier or under killer in the hexy tourney

I only play solo queue & it's fine.
I will say, console players are... You can definitely tell that they play differently. Even at red ranks. A lot more stealth. They dive bomb hooks. They always run & never heal or stay to get healed - even if you're running we'll make it.
I actually had to disable crossplay because they're so...not my playstyle. Even with longer queues, it's worth it.
Not all console players play like that. For example that's how pc players play from my POV. Am I wrong? Yeah because that's only my experience. Don't make this a console vs pc because both sides have some pepegas

I remember this games community used to be so fun and enjoyable that you had fun even if you lost a progress pip. Now it's nothing but tunneling, noed, potato survivers, and toxic survivors. Did a big majority of the chill player base leave? Every now and then I get good teammates and non toxic killers and survivors, but where did all the fun go? 9 times out of 10 when I manage to get another PC player as a teammate I'll tell them what perks I have and they still won't work together or they'll purposely deni me unhooks despite me having we'll make it. I just try to be a good teammate and be the medic, but I just get people that wanna wait while others do the work or they blame me for the loss even tho I'm the only one trying to unhook when the killer isn't right there. I feel like maybe I need to take a break from this game, but this is what most of the people I play he's with play.
When it blew up a lot of people became toxic, tofu made a video on it

Because if you give Myers insta Tier 2 after he is alredy fast in Tier 1 what's the Point of that? He is in a pretty good spot now
- His lunge is garbage in tier 1
- I'm guessing by speed boost they mean make him 110 which is still slow for an m1 killer
- The fact he can be starved and forced in tier 1 until 3 to 4 gens are remaining is posterous

If ya can't get into dbd and think it feels tense I don't think you're living life right...need to learn to be immersed with the TrEeS(if ya get me)...
I mean you kinda right. Then again F13 is the only game that has made me literally scream because this dude shifted and went into stalk( for DBD players it would be like if spirit didn't leave a husk and was completely silent, although this may sound op it really isn't until he hits rage)

That's not what I heard from people who played it. The stats don't indicate that either, since the game had a weak launch (compared to DbD, the game it was supposed to "kill") and the player count quickly tanked.
I played it since 2017, it wasn't truly trash, hell we were supposed to get a new jason and a new map but then the lawsuit hit and that took away a majority of the playerbase. Personally if I play now I play to troll around with friends since escaping isn't hard (you could easily run a full lobby of repair people who are basically the toolboxes of F13 and force the Jason to split pressure if he doesn't want everyone to escape). So nowadays I just try to fight Jason and then after I run out of resources i run them for as long as possible so my teammates can escape. If I die i usually come back and kill jason. The major issue with the game besides lawsuits are like this game, the playerbase, it's either toxic little kids or full grown adults, which taught me to make use of the mute button
-

Then they sandbag you cause you don't participate in their childish antics, no thanks....it's like any other game with a vote out system. I like the the way it is, add more emotes, DBD doesn't even use all the buttons on a controller...

Ive tried RE:R and F13 and I don't think they compare to DBD...I'll always loved resident evil but it was missing something and F13 sucked imo...I hate open communication with strangers. There is always the guy playing their crap music or a little kid screaming or squeaking....I just prefer dbd and prefer the limited communication. I also only play solo so my opinions fit they way I like to play a horror game, alone and tense
You could always use the mute button or just troll them

@Orion said:
There's been plenty of asymmetrical horror multiplayer games before and after DbD was released. The problem is that they all sucked (compared to DbD) and failed to retain players, so they died out.

someone could have Borrowed Time rescued them, the person that made the save has left, whilst the person that was unhooked goes down, and the DS timer is still active.
Left like endgame? If that's the case endgame ds is already an issue. This could easily get rid of it. But if they left like the hatch then I say they shouldn't be able to be mori'd

You do realize he nerfed stuff on the killer side as well. You sound like you dislike the other side for some reason. And I must ask, why do you disagree with the myers buff? He even with those buffs he isn't as good as oni due to his non existent map pressure. So I honestly don't know what's the issue. He can be looped in all tiers and one of the changes wasn't even a real change, it was a QOL buff. His buffs were a speed buff to tier 1
Hitting someone in tier 1 instantly brings ou to tier 2
Slight speed buff to kicking in tier 3
What about that would make him broken?

If you take the bait and you get DS'ed how is that their fault?
YOU took the bait, they lured you, you chased them, you opened that locker not them.
No one forced you to open that locker or go for the unhooked survivor.
Why would you punish survivors for your amateur gameplay? Makes no sense.
I do agree he did take the bait. But I think his point is the fact survivors can be aggressive and take risks that would normally kill them because of smol pp.

The day DS gets nerfed, killers will start complaining about Dead Hard, or Borrowed Time or back on Sprint Burst and then beg for an Unbreakable nerf.
It will never be enough with killers, ever.
Nice generalization btw. Also personally if ds was made a true anti tunnel perk I wouldn't care about it, dead hard is predictable, so is sprint burst, I always for the unhooker, and unbreakable is ok on it's own outside of smol pp

If I remember right remember me was nerfed because of EGC. BBQ and the killer meta perks are still the same but tinkerer had a huuge buff.
Meanwhile, DS was nerfed 3-5 times, self-care nerfed, balanced landing nerfed heavy, leader, etc...several others and that's only mentioning perks.
DS was OP but now it's just problematic. Self care needed a nerf because it was an infinite med kit. Balanced landing was nerfed due to its synergy with haddonfield.

Hey, we've all been beginners at this game at some point, and I'm sure done some derpy stuff. What are your best (or worst) noob moments?
For me:
As a survivor, running after an injured David like a misguided Pollyanna. Chased him all OVER that map, wondering why he kept refusing my attempts to heal him. HELLO, NO MITHER, I don't believe we've met before!
As Killer, wondering why it took so many kicks to bust a generator. Sometimes 3 or 4, sometimes 10 kicks! Per generator! How inefficient. HELLO ZERO REALIZATION I WASN'T COMPLETING THE DAMAGE ACTION!
Ah, memories.
Survivor: I watched old videos so I thought nothing changed. Guess my surprise when I fell off a high ledge with exhaustion and didn't get a stumble reduction
Killer: Face camped a group of red ranks and won

It's a multiplayer game with 4 other people.
So yes, I do think people should show a bit more sportsmanship and consideration to other players.
It's not a matter of sportsmanship, that's like breaking your leg in a football game and people asking you to still play for the enjoyment of others. Its unreasonable. He isn't leaving for no reason either, this is a valid reason. He is making the match quicker for everyone so they can play a real game where they have fun, not one where they just do the gens and escape with no interaction with the killer.

It's just one person with lag. And it looks like the killers connection is no better either so they should probably get used to this happening or stop playing the game.
And you seem to be another one to throw "entitled" around because "its the thing to say".
Couple days ago I played against a killer with the worst lag I have ever seen. I got pulled of a gen without even hearing a heartbeat it was that bad.
The game ended with a 4K and 4 gens remaining. But even then all the survivors played on as best they could. I didn't have fun, but I wasn't going to quit and ruin it for the other players.
It's literally the complete opposite of entitled.
One person who can ruin your entire match, and if it was hit validation I doubt he could hit anyone else either but op hasn't said anything about anyone else. "They should probably get used to it or stop playing the game" So punish themselves for the bad servers? Mkay I don't throw around the word entitled. Expecting someone to endure lag or hacks for your entertainment is entitlement that last paragraph or 2 tell me you want to put people to your standards, which I'm sorry not everyone has the patience like you do. If the game isn't allowing them to play I don't think that's bad of them to dc in this situation.
-
@musefan said:

So you get a 2k then... or a 1k... or a 0k, what does it matter. You can still play the game to the end, earn some BP and don't ruin the game for every one else.
Even if this person was cheating (which I doubt) in order to ruin the killers day, the killer is just as bad for purposefully quiting the game and ruining it for others.
In fact, I would say the killer is worse because they made a choice to ruin everyones game. That Kate probably can't help having a bad internet connection.
So you think the killer should endure hacks or bad hit validation for your fun? Sounds pretty entitled
-
@musefan said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1655332#Comment_1655332
So what. There are still 3 other survivors trying to enjoy a game too. Don't be selfish and ruin the game for other people.
Killer could still play on and maybe get 3K, who cares if the Kate is invincible and survives.
You do realize if you can't attack someone at all, they can literally do everything by themselves and you can't do anything. I'd rather face 20 op nurses than deal with a survivor I can't kill. And the fact you suggest you could get a 3k with an invincible survivor makes me laugh.

How do you know it wasn't just a one-off though?
They made a prediction, if it wasn't working with her, it probably wouldn't work with anyone else. Plus even if it was only her now she is invincible and can do anything without the killer doing anything about it. That could easily be abused

@LittilAvindar said:
Every single time I go against a Bubba, they hook camp the very first survivor. Other survivors are either expected to leave him alone and let him die after 30 seconds of game-play, or risk a 4k. This is getting ridiculous. It's the first hook! And then the killers sit there and try to talk about how survivors falling for it should be punished. It shouldn't be a strategy. No player should have to sit on a hook the first 30 seconds into a match because the new buffed Usain Bolt Bubba can rush in with a chainsaw that has almost no graze anymore, down them and hook camp.
Here's the fix. For the FIRST HOOK, unless the killer is actively in chase, for every second the killer stands in front of the hook, self-unhook chance significantly increases. The survivor then gets a built in DS to seal the deal. I am literally tired of this #########, and for every killer that says "Oh, you're running toxic perks..." The toxic perks exist BECAUSE you do this, and based on the fact that it's still happening, clearly the perks aren't good enough. Stop bitching about DS, BT, Unbreakable, etc. YOU'RE the reason they're in the game.
You do realize you aren't entitled to an unhook right?

If he thinks you'll dodge and you commit he just lost a hit. Deathslinger isn't op at all in loops, only time he actually shines is in open areas, where you are already screwed with any other ranged killer, nurse? Get blinked on. Huntress? Get sniped Demo? You incorrectly predict them to attack and you get hit PH? Well his ability is crap in the open. Clown? He slows you down and m1 you etc etc. There are killers who do way worse yet yall choose a weak and boring killer to complain about. That's like saying old freddy should have been nerfed.

I play both Survivor and Killer, but the only Killer I play (at least until I feel I've gotten down completely) is Michael Myers. Of late I am running into a metric ton of newbie Mikey players. It is hurting me watch you. I want to give you a few tips.
- Unless you are choosing to play a Mikey limited to Tier-1 (Scratch Mirror) with wall hacks, it should NOT be your goal to stay at Tier-1 all match. It isn't good for you. You should be stalking and getting to Tier-2 as quickly as possible. You do this by depressing the left trigger while in line of sight with a Survivor. The closer you are the more evil you will gain.
- I know you want that one kill at least so you don't feel you utterly failed, but face camping that one guy is not productive to you in the long run. Hook'em and hunt for more. The worst thing that will happen is someone will unhook that person, and if you caught them once, chances are you will catch them again. You need practice hunting and stalking. Sitting there at point blank range is not useful.
- If you are going to camp at Tier-1 move off enough to at least get some other Survivors to take the bait. Grab them when they come to do the unhook.
- At Tier-3 you get Insta-down, for however long Tier-3 lasts. Slug and slug and slug again. Don't lose time hooking if you can avoid it. Remember that you cannot stalk while you are in Tier-3.
- Take Play With Your Food.
Thanks man now I'll be able to make people believe in the boogeyman even though I mained him for months! /s on a real note nice guide
