What's that one thing you want, but don't think the devs would ever implement?
1 remove tier 1 from michael
2 remove OoO from the game
3 remove perk tiers
any of these would be my dream change

Was wondering what kind of maps people would want to see, either without characters accompanying it or within a full chapter. Personally, there are a few I'd like to see:
I personally think that a beach realm would be cool. It would really feel different from the various kinds of "outside with some trees" realms that we have. One of the maps could have a lighthouse with a generator or chest at the top, and it lights up when the gen's done. Also maybe a map with a bunch of docks or a port or something. The only problem with this idea would be the ocean/water itself, since every map so far has blocked off the edges with walls so you wouldn't really be able to have a full ocean.
Another cool one would be some sort of rough cave system or mineshaft. If this was in the game it'd probably be one of my favorite indoor maps. Currently, the only indoor ones we have are boring modern facilities of some kind. A lot of verticality would look really cool in this kind of map too.
Some other minor ideas I think would be cool:
- A full Carnival or Boardwalk map like the section of the Crotus Prenn Chapel would be nice.
- A Subnautica map would be very interesting, such as maybe the inside of the Aurora after it crashed. All the fire, water, and electricity everywhere would be awesome. Unfortunately, I think it suffers a similar problem as the beach map concept in terms of water.
- An office building or city block of some sort. We already have suburban maps like Haddonfield and Badham, so a city with multi-level buildings would be cool. Even a single indoor office building would be cool, like the second floor of Hawkins but an entire map.
- While FNAF in the game is a controversial topic, I think the potential map would be cool.
What would you guys want to see?
A city map. Maybe with a modern soldier as a killer and the backstory is he was taken while he was valiantly defending a city or sum #########

I'm a fairly new player, and while I can see things from the killer player's perspective, on the other hand, from a personal standpoint, it does feel sometimes that I'm playing against overmatched killers. Eventually, I'll figure out looping and evasion, but for now, I'm just standard running away with a few sneaky moves to try to evade the hooks. Yes, I'm trying to "Git good." But try to see things from my perspective for a second. I unlocked Laurie Strode, level one. Played my first match with her. So I only had one perk I could put on her, which I was playing for the first time.
My first match as a level one Laurie was against a killer with "Exposed" and thus, one shot instacripple. Needless to say, the match didn't go on for very long. Now I was playing Ash beforehand, so I was decently experienced with the gameplay, but imagine if I had just downloaded the game, and that was my very first match. You can see how someone brand new might feel just a bit overwhelmed, eh? I mean you'd expect there might be just a little more of a learning curve than the walkthrough you complete before they throw you in the fire, right?
I'm not saying that's the fault of the killer players who tirelessly worked on their killer to boost them to the level they have them at. I lean more towards pointing the finger at the developers, and the matching system. I think it would definitely be a lot more fair, and help draw people into continued play, if the level one survivors were paired with, say, a level one-level five killer. It seems the random matching aspect of the game (I play mobile only) is a bit flawed. I don't have a squad, and aside from a few matches I'm played with the players I've friended after a match, ever match I play is from the random pairings.
I think the "killers are overpowered" messages to contain a bit of merit. I bought Amanda/The Pig, (One of my favorite characters from "Saw") and played a match as a level one against players that were at least rank 10, as they had four unseen perks on their account. Even though I was unfamiliar with the controls, and wasn't trying very hard (I was doing the necessary jobs to collect daily perks. I think I had to break two pallets, and slash four survivors) I made like 20,000 bloodpoints. I put two people in the dying state and fitted them with traps, and hooked one survivor, the rest of the time I was chasing and hitting. My only kill of the match was one of the two players having their trap go off before they escaped. Even with an unfamiliar character, and without very much trying, I did better on bloodpoints than over half the matches I played as a survivor. And I'm a schmuck.
I think part of the reason for the complaints, and certainly speaking from my own first-hand experience, is that when you're playing a random match against a killer with "Exposed," and Mori for quick kills, it seems like the person playing the killer isn't interested at all in having a match. He wants to wipe out the survivors in two minutes, collect his bloodpoints and rewards, and get out of there. And believe me, I have been in match after match where the time waiting for the match to start was longer than the match itself. I focus on generators, but when you're 30 seconds in and two people are on the ground, you're really screwed. If you leave them, the odds of two remaining players fixing the five generators themselves is next to impossible, so you're forced to play rescuer, and if you're against a skilled killer, you're usually on the ground with them. If you say screw it and decide you'll wait for the hatch to spawn, it's can come across as a bit of a jerk move. As a point of reference, the two downed players weren't doing the "One got hooked let me immediately unhook them while the killer is right there" move, they were just paired together at the start of the match and they were able to use exposed and down them quickly before they had a decent chance to escape.
I don't mind the kill moris. In a way, it makes you focus that much more on not getting killed, when you hear the gong and see the player's face turn into a skull.
"Exposed" I am not a fan of, mainly because it seems very overused. If you're dropping "Exposed" at the start of the match, to me, it just seems lazy. "I could look for visual clues and listen for audio cues, but why do that when I can just let the game tell me where people are, and then instantly put them in the dying state?" I have no interest in it, and I won't use it. I'm sure there will be matches in the future where I'll only make a few thousand bloodpoints and be outclassed by the survivors, but to me, that's a match. I'm the one that can walk anywhere I want, hit anyone I want, and all they can do is run, drop a pallet on me, or shine a flashlight in my eyes. It makes for a much more pleasurable playing experience when I'm playing as the killer to only use my basic attack functions, and I'm sure it's more pleasurable for the survivors I'm playing against when they have a decent shot of outrunning me, or outfoxing me. It's not like my pride is being damaged. If all four of them escape, more power to them. After being sacrificed so many times, I'm happy to give them a match where I'm not giving them a cakewalk, but where they can win if they play even halfway decently.
"No one escapes alive" also seems like a big way to stack the deck in the killer's favor. I was in a match with a demogorgon, and he was obviously inexperienced. He only hooked one of us, and one time he walked right past me standing next to a generator. We powered up quickly, and because he had that hidden hex, he was able to kill two of the survivors right at the end. I mean the survivors are having to tread lightly, be covert, run and escape, and we did all that, and then that hex was dropped as a get out of jail free card.
Obviously, I'm not expecting the game to nerf the killers at all. The perks are out there, and that's all there is too it. But a few more perks to counter (Like a one time or two time use "Exposed" shield) would be a fair compromise.
bro you are new, you will understand killers aren't as op as you think

I can see your point. Maps are getting smaller but then more stronger killers are being added in the game to deal with map pressure (cutting chases quickly) I mean a trapper on a smaller map like Dead Dawg is ok but it's more balanced but a PH or Hillbilly lol. Also if maps are getting smaller there are a lot more chases happening which is fine but survivors need more things to work with. Take a look at Shelter Woods, that map is horribly killer sided considering there's few pallets and major dead zones. But alas I'm just a "baby survivor" who needs to "gIt gud" or some crap killer mains say 😂.
Honestly, I'm starting to drift from this game its too annoying and I don't really enjoy it, every match feels like too much work for very little reward. I'd suggest finding a different game you enjoy more as it will not change and everytime someone says something about killers being strong they scream "gIt GoOd" instead of realising that everyone should be able to have a good time and not get stream rolled every match.
But yeh good luck in the fog :)
Against any killer that isn't spirit or nurse or freddy in solo a majority of you should escape. Otherwise your team is just bad

These stalemates where you stand there faking unhooks just to get the killer to hit you is absolutely boring gameplay cause either way you’re probably going down.
I think its an unnecessary advantage to a camping killer, yes you waste the killers time but it isnt fun for anyone involved.
Being camped and camping is not fun for anyone, even the killer lol
No I don't think so. you can be grabbed off of every action except throwing a pallet and healing. Why would unhooking be any different? And why are you trying to out smart a killer who can just wait 1 second while you unhook and still grab you. In that situation you should just leave and do gens and escape with most or half your team

I don’t know what kind of stats you devs use to determine which side needs to be reworked. But as far as I can see based on my experience playing both sides I find that I have a way easier time playing killer than I do survivor. It seems my teammates get ran on consistently and I barely make it out once every 4/5 games. I think some of these maps are too small for many of the killers’ speed/abilities, lack of decent hiding, poor pallet placements, and vaults can be too easily walked around due to the fact that walls are never long enough to make a difference. When I play killer I do not really have a hard time getting at least 2 kills every game. But the majority of the time it is 3-4 per match. Survivors have to work hard for very little reward and killers easily reap in way too many points. It is a little stressful at times dealing with the good survivors. But the hiding spots are just becoming too obvious that I don’t really get fooled. I think the hardest part is dealing with the 360s. But why do survivors have to do that to get a chase to last longer? The game should naturally have stuff in it that prolongs a chase. It’s too easy to down, hook and kill. Especially when you consider the add ons and Mori’s. It’s pretty bad. I understand as a survivor you are 1 of 4 you’re not meant to 1v1 the killer. But you should definitely think about fixing some things so they can have a better chance at not going down. Killers have too much regression on survivor objectives to keep up with the rate that killers do their objectives. I do it all the time. Pop is OP 😂

"Roger, I'm doing generator echo charlie 3, its 55% done"
"Roger, looping him in sector 2, used pallets number 1 and 7"
######### no, if I play with my friends we usually talk about our day, what's new happened in their lives, we ######### about bugs we encounter and about solo survivor experience, because solo red ranks are unbearably bad. I would like to see my solo escape rate, it wouldn't be more than 20%
Also we usually lose too. It's closer matches than solo queues, but red rank killers are good and kick our asses. I even run kindred because we don't talk about that's happening in a game that much. Usually we only start some kind of organized plan in endgame if we need to rescue a fool. And in the end we all die. The end.
When me and the boys get off CoD and try to play dbd in a nutshell.
"Yo Alpha 1 who is our enemy?"
"mike,india,charlie,hotel,alpha,echo,lima"
"Roger that prepare Bravo 6 for M.I.C.H.A.E.L. on your 6"
"Roger that I have had my tactical retreat route identified"
"Charile 3 did you finish 20% of our objective yet?"

These stats have their limitations, but I don't think it's fair to call them meaningless. The kill rates are what they are. Some killers might seem deadly, but they really just have a low skill floor and low skill ceiling. So, most people who play them are closer to the skill ceiling than for other killers. You might also have killers like nurse with a high skill floor and high skill ceiling that clearly aren't being used to their full potential. On the aggregate, though, this sort of thing should mostly come out in the wash. I think these numbers are a lot more useful to show killer vs survivor balance than to showing killer vs. killer balance, then. They're certainly not perfect, but when the kill rate is 68% on average at red ranks, those numbers would have to be extremely and unrealistically (imo) inflated in order for the game to actually be survivor sided.
Who knows what the actual kill rate is, but I personally think the game is reasonably balanced, as in, both sides have a decent chance to win when matched against opponents of similar skill. I think not having consistent matchmaking is a much bigger issue than overall game balance.
I think the kill rate is more likely around 50, due to the utter strength of moris and how common they are.

Clearly not, and that sort of response is why the devs have told people not to treat the stats as gospel. There are other factors that can lead to a lower or higher kill rate than usual, and how hard it is to play Nurse almost certainly results in a lower average kill rate than she is capable of.
When you look at the overall percentage, though, it's hard to reconcile that with the idea that the game is survivor sided. A ~68% kill rate at red ranks suggests that the game is not survivor sided. If we treat a 50% kill rate as perfectly balanced, there would have to be one or more major factors artificially inflating kill rates. The only things I can think of are disconnects (if those are included in the stats) and hook suicides, but do we really think that's responsible for more than 18% of all deaths in DBD? I very much doubt it, especially when there are other factors artificially lowering the kill rate. For example, some killers often give the last survivor the hatch. Also, the hatch always opens for the last survivor now regardless, so you could very feasibly only 3k in a match where no gens were completed.
See thats the thing. Im not arguing this game is survivor sided. Im arguing general ass stats like these are meaningless

"Fake news", lack of understanding of averages, and whataboutism. Lol
These stats included all instances of OoO users. It's just not frequently used well. Why would one focus on nerfing, when the average kill rate, which includes going against keys, 4 meta teams, OoO teams, ds/unbreakables, is already abysmally high?
It really just looks like you only care for what makes the killer experience better while completely ignoring, in the current state, the game is factually, mathematically, and statistically killer-sided. Maybe fine tune the few survivor sided builds/annoyances after addressing the core, major glaring problem in balancing where killers are too strong.
I mean we could also consider the fact most players play solo which would also boost the kill rate. Then you have the people who play those op items and perks and that negatively affects the kill rate thats the issue. These "stats" do not matter unless its in a specifc situation like Kill rates for killers on azarov's. You see a high ass kill rate and adjust the map accordingly. Killers are way too different to try to buff or nerf them as a whole. And the fact you think i only care about the killer experience is laughable. i played both sides. Highest as a survivor was rank 8 and highest as killer was rank 3. I used to play casual swf with an old buddy and know how bad it is for casuals and solos at that rank. Seriously we got a forever freddy, a slugging nurse, and bunch of impossible skill check doctors all in one night. But i do care for solo since thats all i play. If you look back in my post history you would see my stance on the game
Buff solo to swf level and buff and nerf killers accordingly. At this point im going to say this. In solo every killer goes up a tier or 2. In swf every killer but spirit nurse and freddy go down a tier or 2. And thats the issue. The strength disparity between solo and swf make stats meaningless. Unless you have stats that show killers do consistently well against 4 man red ranks without any moris then i think we are done. I don't care about the average. I care about specific situations. Another reason why stats in this game are meaningless. Map rng.

So the average red rank killer, with data collected over every killer in the player base, running whatever add-ons/perks that are normally used at their normal pick rate, has a 68% kill rate. As a red rank killer, you also have about a 70% kill rate +/-5%.
But the stats are bogus?
They aren't bogus. They could be the best stats in the world and i would ignore them. Because stats aren't the best thing to use to balance a game. I already said this 3 times but situations matter over stats. Now stats of situations does matter. LIke "If there is an OoO in the game what is the average escape rate of their teammates" or "if a red rank freddy is using pop what is the average kill rate" etc etc

Does your experience line up with the stats? Are you doing better than the stats?
Matters which stats you talking. Red rank stats yeah it does. The few days i was there i was getting 2k-3k on average. In all ranks i was getting consistent 4ks because i was facing babies if i wasn't in red ranks. So no i get way more than the average in all ranks but its average for red ranks. If we consider the games where i got shat on then its about a 65-70% kill rate

It's not meaningless, it's just goes against your experience so you're probably not as good as a killer as you think you are.
If you play 100 matches as survivor at red ranks, you only escape 32 times in the current state of the game, with the current killers, with the current perk/item/addon/offering pick rates on both sides, with the current prevalence rate of swf.
If you throw match making out the door and randomize it, you out of 100 games, you escape 44 out of 100 games.
If you go against freddy at red ranks, out of 100 games, you escape 25. If you throw match making out the door, and go against any rank freddy, you escape 34 out of 100 matches.
If you are a red rank, and play 100 matches, you will average a 3k by just picking freddy.
Lastly, nurse is designed to be a killer with a learning curve but it supposed to have a higher maximum output then the other killers when mastered. But if you wanna buff that 40% all rank to 50% kill rate by making her easier to play, but at the same time nerfing her max potential so red ranks are also at 50% instead of 57%, I'd agree with you, but you'd only be making the game boring, and getting more killer mains complaint that she got nerfed even though it was a base buff.
No I literally could not give a ######### about stats. If the stats say nurse is op i do not care. If stats say ds gives a massive boost to survival rate i do not care. Situations matter, not stats. I already gave examples of where stats were meaningless OoO and nurse. I really do not care about those stats and the fact you insult me over the fact I dismiss all stats is dumb.

So I've been introducing a lot of new people to DbD. It is a fun game, and I'm hoping to get a lot of people I know into it. Of late, it has become apparently that a lot of Purple (and even Red Rank) Survivors have no self respect. Instead of fighting the game on their own level, they are going into a SWF with Ranks 16-18 so they can pull a weaker killer. One of my friends is a Rank-14 and pulled a game with (2) Rank-4, an Rank-8 and an Rank-18. So I kept watching his matches and one right after the other was pretty much the same.
These were obviously SWF and clearly put together for a specific purpose. I really have to wonder about people who have no pride. You really have such a low opinion of yourself that you can only get your jollies by rigging the game so you can go after what amounts to children in Kindergarten? Pathetic.
To the DEV, I strongly suggest you hit the switch and make the Killer pulled be based on the most potent Rank in a group, not the weakest. I counted six games of Smurfing in a row. This can't be good for new Players or their retention.

With his tombstone add-ons he can just walk up and mori you. You don't need to be hooked or even downed for this to happen. I want to know: what were they thinking when making this add-on? This is even worse than pink Leatherface add-ons, instadown hatchets, it beats everything. It can even be combined with perma-tier 3 so that all 4 survivors can be moried without even being downed or hooked. And it's all done by just staring at survivors. I know skill is a polarizing word, but seriously where is the skill in these add-ons?
So nerf his best add ons without any compensation? Mkay. Judith's tombstone is balanced and tombstone is only busted if he has j myers memorial as well. But they do need a rework

They used to have protection like that but they turned it off for some reason

I've been playing dbd since it came out for xbox. Ever since then I was a wraith main. However, about a year ago I completely stopped playing wraith. I stopped playing him for a few reasons which I will be discussing here. I hope you're ready for an essay because he has many issues.
1. His add-on dependency.
Wraith depends on his add-ons as much as blight relies on his serum. Playing wraith without add-ons is absolutely awful. It's literally loop city the entire match. I believe that the wraith cube increased his need for add-ons. Unless you're an absolute God at wraith, you'll typically get smashed by even the most pea-headed survivors. About only half of his add-ons are even decent, the rest are pretty bad.
2. His map dependency.
Most maps for wraith are very bad as they are very open and make the wraith very easy to see, completely removing his stealth. He can be good on indoor maps, but there's like hardly any of them. Even on maps where he can be good, he relies on rng to make cover for him to sneak with.
3. Spine chill and premonition.
These 2 perks can completely counter the wraith, pretty much making his ability useless. Now, I know they don't tell you if he's actually going for you or not, but all you have to do is hide for a few seconds and if he never shows up then you go back to the gen. I don't think they should work when undetectable, but that's a story for a different time. (I don't know if premonition works on undetectable or not but I think it does).
4. His outdated ability.
His ability consists of slightly faster than usual mobility and stealth. He has nothing for gen slowdown, or during a chase, or anything else most good to average killers have. This makes wraith games last 2 seconds. Not to mention how boring his gameplay is. The typical wraith game goes like this: Find survivor, uncloak, chase survivor, get looped forever, down survivor, hook survivor, 3 gens pop, find corner, cry. There's nothing engaging about his ability, it's only useful when not in a chase. The only time you use his ability is during the most boring part of the game, finding survivors.
5. His perks.
His perks are pretty garbage. Shadowborn is pretty useful, I use it on most killers because console has fov lock. Predator and blood hound however, are absolute trash. I guess they're ok for newer players but after that they're useless. They only have use if you've been stabbed right in your occipital lobe.
6. Wraith is bad? Always has been.
Wraith has always been pretty bad. Even at launch, chillbilly and trapster were better than he was. As the years went on and on I kept hoping wraith would receive a change. And he did. But it was absolutely awful. The wraith cube was a total joke. It did nothing and left him in the same position. It was like putting new windows in a car that got blown up. Does it fix some issues? Yes. Did it fix the biggest and main issues? No. After that, the devs left him in the dust. His gameplay brings no joy. Joining a trial as wraith is like walking into into work everyday expecting to be RKO'd by Randy Orton. There's just no reason to play him.
7. What if you're a smelly killer who smells?
Maybe I do smell at killer but that doesn't make these issues any less so. I know there are better wraith players than me. But honestly, they can't be that much better considering his skill cap is about as high as a midgets doorway. He's such a simple and easy killer to use. But he's not like Freddy McLongarms who has a good ability and is easy to use. You can only do so well with a killer who has a very low skill cap. Once you hit it, that's it, you peaked. You're not doing much better.
8. The devs.
The devs need to focus on buffing weaker killers instead of worrying about our wallets. Killers such as wraith, nurse, spirit and Freddy all need buffs to make them viable. Not many people play these weaker killers and I don't see the numbers getting any higher anytime soon.
9. The conclusion.
Wraith bad.
Thank you for coming to my Thread Talk.
(Don't act like monkeys or I'll get the zookeeper)
🐒did you saw the op killer in the game needs a buff. Entitled killer main🐵🐵🐵

So far please let the ping from the killer keep you apart, thanks for your understanding
and now you go play with your good ping killer so that you will be punished by our servers, "you attack the surviver in the pallet and then he drop it? np you dint cant bs him, because you have a good ping, you damm .. . "
"but when you drop the pallet and the killer attack you, they win EVERYYYTIME ??? YAHH HAHA np its dbd welcome to the dbd world, where you will be punished if you have a good ping and rewarded if you have a ######### ping
I mean that isn't true. I play mainly killer and there's so many times I don't get a hit through a pallet and I have below average ping 7mb per sec. So this isn't always the case and also cucked killers who had bad point by literally not allowing them to down anyone

Not really. Anything that gives a completely free heal for doing your normal objective isn't exactly balanced.
why is it so strong? Only case i see it being insane is when everyone is injured and they all fully heal

If I’m trying to efficiently spend blood points to level up a character I’m just going to prestige anyway, it’s incredibly frustrating being forced to spend 7000bp on a BNP i’m never going to use instead of the 3000bp offering the entity ate up!!!
thats why if theres nothing you want you buy the cheapest option

So the devs are not going to address it? I just had yet another of the worst matches of my life with that ######### show of a perk. 4 man swf. One ran object. All had ds, adren, bt, dh. All body blocked (after FINALLY downing the ooo user after 3 gens popped) and had flashlights and firecrackers. The game was absolute he'll. They would purposely abuse ds too knowing they had God mode for 60 seconds + 5 stun seconds. What can I do in a match like that? Not tunnel and start a brand spankin new chase again and wait for those last 2 gens to pop? I can't even dc from a monstrosity of a match like that anymore. Don't even tell me its 1 out of every 10. I've literally gotten this all evening in my games on console. Don't get me started if you even get the pyramid head map with 2 object users on the top floor. 💀
video evidence or it didn't happen. We can't base balance issues off of anecdotal evidence

PS4 player here.
The frames only rrally drop at the start of the match for me but i still understand the frustration.
Also for me, the queue times really increased over the last few days.
Some weeks before it only took me like a minute to find a game at night, now it takes me almost 6-7 minutes to find a match (survivor btw)
its different for every player

Hi. My name is Unicorn and I'm a Baby Killer.
They say once you can admit it, that's the first step to recovery.
My current build that I am familiar and confident with running is STBFL, Remember Me, Bloodhound and Pop Goes The Weasel.
I suck at creativity just as much as I suck at Killer.
Any suggestions?
Help all us Baby Killers around the globe.
Thanks in advance <3
if you on console get thana, sloppy, pop, bbq.

So I play a couple games a day, and for the past 3 days half if not more have been against freddy, so did more people just start playing him because they saw the dev stream or what?
Most likely due to the dev stream. People see him succeed and want to win. And i say good #########. If you wanna win that badly abuse him to the point they nerf him. Don't start crying when they do
