I care. A lot of people care. Just because you don't care about representation doesn't mean nobody does.

Doesn't make much sense to me honestly, but ok. If this make you feel happier why not?

And yet Killers still got Kills back then. And probably complained less than nowadays.

I can 4k with a trapper without traps, doesn't mean that the game is playable, only that survivors were so bad that they loose against a joke...

  • Good and... Who cares? This is a game about escaping from a killer/killing people, not a dating simulator...

Everywhere I look at people talking about playing killer in dbd, they are always talking about how stressful the role is to play. Survivor que times are long, because there are far more people playing survivor than there are playing killer. I, too, can't really bring myself to play killer anymore, on account of it being far too stressful. I have more fun playing survivor, or any other game, really. With all the people talking about how stressful and unfun it is to play half of their damn game, you would think bhvr would do something about it. Many other devs would. So BHVR, are you going to do anything to make 50% of your game be more appealing and not so stressful for a large amount of your players?

only when it will become COMPLETELY unplayable (see 2017), otherwise things won't change

That would be an awful idea since protection hits are pretty random. Imagine I get farmed from the hook, the person has DS, and dodges the killer and it ends up hitting me. I took a protection hit because I was farmed, and now it's free tunnel town. No thanks.

the problem is when people use BT out of his ORIGINAL purpose... this perk should aid you to escape from the killer, not to be used as a shield to protect the others (which it happens more than you think sadly)... in that instance you WANT to waste the killer's time at all costs instead of escaping from him, so ds should be automatically disabled IF you were hitted while the endurance status effect is active (after all the killer doesn't have faults here, it's just a bad play from your team)... in that way you still have the possibility to escape with your ds if someone hookfarm without bt and you still have a possibility to loop and waste the killer's time if you were hitted while the endurance effect is active...

I prefer to put the same skill check every time a killer hooks someone. if the killer fails, you escape

We are talking about DS, not about hooks, so stop being sarcastic and say something constructive to the topic otherwise do not write anything at all...

  • @_AdamFrancis_ said:

I personally don't need it. But with how much killers tunnel nowadays, I run it a lot. Now here's the issue, the skill check inside of the perk lags 1/2 of the time when I use it, resulting in it being wasted. Because of this, I think DS shouldn't have a skill check. Not to mention it hurts bad players, aka the ones who need it the most.

I would gladly remove the skillcheck required to activate the perk, but in exchange that DS will be deactivated if you:

1 take a protection hit (since they want to put borrowed time as a basekit skill, if you are bodyblocking with BT you are pretty much asking for being tunneled)

2 when you jump in a locker

3it will deactivate once all generators are done (you aren't being tunneled anymore at this point) or if you need to keep it active even in the endgame then just deactivate it if you are opening the exit gates (this is another survivor objective after all so they shouldn't be rewarded like the old DS for doing the objective under the killer's nose without worrying about anything)

The killer-player in this example got 3 kills using only 3 perks, while the survivors hardly got any points, indicating that the killer easily got kills and wont the match. If you are trying to show that killers are overpowered, then you have successfully done that.

BTW, random screenshots of matches don't indicate anything.

Was the killer overpowered... Or survivors were just dumb? Look at the points for each side... This match could be ended in 3 minutes with all generators done but the killer could have camped and killed 3 survivors with 3 hooks just because they were too much greedy to left one of their owns to die... I can kill an entire team perkless and addon less if they are so dumb... As you said most of the times screenshots prove nothing... They can gave hints how a match could be ended, but it's start and end here...

Dead Hard is probably a lose/lose situation for BHVR.

You don't do anything with Dead Hard and killer-players are unhappy.

You nerf Dead Hard, you upset a massive amount of survivors and then you make killer-players happy. Then you make killer-players very upset with all the killer-nerfs you have to introduce.

I survivor main. I can count on my fingers how many times I’ve played killer but last night I wanted to try. So going into my first killer match for the first time in 2 years, I’m matched up wit god tier survivors with dead hards, DS, boons etc. They gen rushed and teabagged me all throughout the chases. But after the final gen was completed, I had the NOED surprise and was able to get 3/4. Of course the all proceeded to message me and tell me how trash I am etc etc and I camped bodies but realistically, what am I supposed to do with a sweaty team like that when all the gens are done? I see why killers are leaving this game or resorting to camping especially with toxic survivors

Welcome to the killer side of dbd: full of those types of "people", even if I play fair this is how end 90% of my matches

Just thought this would be an interesting topic to bring up again, as always try keep content creators names out of it and dont hate on certain ones. Ill start.

    I dont watch streamers because:

    • I dont need to learn anything (I always prefer to learn things myself, usually great at this but it's a curse at night when your mind wont let you sleep)
    • They dont have the same experience match wise (this is a big one, I can watch a streamer use no gen defense and even without doing any pressure people are slow on gens still... grr give me these games)
    • Some have very high entitlement, or are very toxic towards one side.

In the beginning I watched some of them sometimes, but now I stopped completely because:

1 some of them are just nasty and entitled pricks

2 not entirely truthful (their major interests is to do their business which mind you, it's fair, but at least avoid to pass as the impartial guy when you are actually doing stuff that suggests that the game is heavily killer/survivor side)

3 i found more fun seeing the stream of my friends

  • @Sluzzy said:

I do agree. Against even a medicore killer using OP perks, only a top 4 man sweating in an unfun way has even a slight chance at winning.

In my opinion, the game is already at a breaking point. It is far too difficult for survivors to win. DBD is losing players every month because survivors have been nerfed too much.

"slight"... a sweaty swf will beat any killer of the game, especially when they stack 2nd chances perks and broken stuff such as brand new part, map offerings (actually 3/4 of the maps on dbd are survivor side), styptic agents, anti-hemorrage syringes, etc etc... you can cry about survivors being weak, but if you think so i deduce that you aren't playing aganist/with players who actually know how to loop properly. Only solo survivors could have some troubles, but it isn't killer's fault for sure: when i play solo i see the other survivors trolling around, spamming vault animations in your location in order to attract the killer here, straight up dc/suicide on the hook cause they don't like the killer/being outplayed despite they have dead hard/map that they don't like/other stupid and selfish reasons. The moment that i've somewhat decent people in my team, usually will result in a complete loss for the killer with only a single kill if he/she's lucky...

  • @eloise said:

For me swf is a problem when the team can chat together during the game, if they can't chat in game it's ok for me just in the lobby, but when they chat in game they are too advantage of the game, one can said the killer is here or he follow me, do the gen, he left me, chat ok but in match not ok

want an interesting idea for nerfing swf teams? if you play swf you CAN'T equip the same perk for everyone (meaning that a full swf will have only 1 ds, 1dh, 1ub, 1ad, 1 CoH, etc etc)

  • @Basement_Bubba420 said:

Counter intuitively, the only time I want a hook counter is when I just want to 9 hook and not kill any of the noobies I just got matched it.

If I'm tunneling someone, I know exactly who it is I'm tunneling and how many hooks I have.

I know BHvR thinks Killers are morons, but really, how does not having a hook counter deter tunneling?

If I only have two hooks on one person.... I can keep track of that person.

it's not even a good hook counter since you can simply do 4 hooks and camp at 1st hook and find that counter completed like you did 12 hooks...

"We're looking into Dead Hard" How long do you plan to just keep looking devs? Until the game dies? Why are you so afraid to do something about the best survivor "get out of jail free card" in the game? The killer pulls off a sick mind game in a loop (actual skill) and what does the survivor have to do? Press E to escape. And literally all killer powers are negated by the single press of a button, huntress hatchets, nemesis tentacles, doctor static blast, trapper traps, everything. DH against nurse or blight basically gives survivors a third health state. Why am i even speaking so much lol, you guys have already heard all this but still nothing is being done about this "press E to outplay" perk. It's used by 99% of survivors in the game, to the point where it feels basekit in the game. That speaks for itself.

looking at it doesn't mean that they are modifying that perk... not now at least... remember how many time they waited before reworking ds (almost 5 years) and how much time passed between the mori and key rework (slightly more than 1 year)...

  • @RockyCrayon6625 said:

The generators are out in the open so you can't really sneak up on them, there are tiny corners that you hit when you try and m1 someone, and that window by the generator on top of the saloon is just a guarantee for that gen to be done.

I believe that simply closing off that one window and getting rid of some of the clutter, even just as much as 5% of it, could make it more viable for the killer while not making it unfair to the survivors.

it's literally one of the FEW balanced maps in the game (despite i hate certain loops present in that map, it's fair that survivors have at least 2 strong loops imo)

  • @deckyr said:

i just tried to get adept sadako and got lobby after lobby of survivors bringing the strongest possible perks, playing as hard as they possibly could, and being nasty in the chat afterwards.

so i switched, equipped a bunch of strong perks including devour hope, stomped the hell out of the lobby i was in, and noone said anything to me

i don't feel good before doing that, and i don't feel good after doing it. i'm just not having fun no matter which way around i play. playing casually is impossible, and playing sweaty isn't fun it's just miserable even when i win.

i just really want something to be done about the strong perks on both sides. remove all the second health state perks from survivors, remove all the instadown perks from killers, and let's just play the video game normally again, yeah?

this is more or less what killers are enduring right now generally speaking... you started with the best intentions for a fair and funny match, playing with non meta killers and perks, but as always certain people will literally bully you to death cause they KNOW that they cannot loose (unless they want it happen) aganist certain killers in certain maps (especially when in a full swf with 2nd chances perks stacked and broken stuff like styptic agents or brand new parts), forcing you to start playing with meta killers and meta builds or resorting to nasty tactics such as camping and tunneling and you'll get why this game is becoming a chore to play each passed day.

    @Aven_Fallen said:

MMR has nothing to do with people playing Meta-Perks.

I really dont get why players now complain about the other side bringing strong Perks, the same was the case when we had Rank-based Matchmaking. The builds did not change at all, just different Slowdown-Perks on the Killers side and CoH on the Survivors side. Those are the only changes, which would have happened anyway.

the problem is the lack of variety present in those games: the fact that in order to barely get points (or kills if you gave more importance than bloodpoints) aganist sweaty teams you have to play scummy and in an unfun way, with the best stuff available. this could be interesting sometimes, but it get old very fast (don't worry, it's the same thing when you play survivor: finding only blights and nurses with the best builds and addons could be a challenge, but in the long run it become annoying, boring and frustrating)... in all this remember that most of those people are EXTREMELY toxic without reasons and you don't have the tools to make them pay for this behavior (reports are useless since devs won't even consider reading tickects anymore) and you'll got a general picture of why people don't like those things

Have I ever said he's viable? No. But you thinking "he's awfully weak" just tells me you don't know how to play him.

Having every Killer P3 doesn't mean anything

prestige itself doesn't mean much sometimes, i'll give you that, but unlike the others i did those prestiges using every killer (meaning that i did my fair amount of matches/eperience with everyone, using their bp offerings, addons, etc etc...). Also you just contradicted yourself by saying that he's not viable. there's a HUGE difference when you play aganist the average/casual guy (in that case i can even win without troubles with a bad killer like legion) and when you play aganist sweaty people who will stack evey 2nd chance in this game and know the basis of looping, and since i got only the 2nd ones...

Tell me you don't know how to play Demogorgon without telling me

cause you saw every match that i did with it, right? Bold of you to assume that i don't know how to play it... i've all the killers at p3, i think that i'm more than capable to judge each killer properly... the only killer that i still found irritating are spirit (but only because i don't have headphones) and nurse (mainly cause i don't like her concept, without mentioning the bug still present that afflict her like the teleport in the basement despite you are blinking elsewhere). demogorgon isn't viable aganist a group of decent survivors, period. you can keep lying to yourself since it's your main probably, but this won't change the facts.

  • @OneGoodBoyDemo said:

I still can't believe there are still people trying to kill the boons. You are creating too many problems for a mechanic where only ONE of the perks is broken or was it depending on the new nerf ( CoH).

SHOULD THE KILLER BE ABLE TO PERMANENTLY DESTROY THE BOONS? NO.

Imagine bringing a perk like Boon: exponential which is a very situational perk by the way that can be destroyed by the killer. Does not make sense.

SHOULD BOONS LOSE POWER EACH TIME THEY ARE PLACED? NO.

Imagine bringing a perk like Boon: dark theory which is an ok perk that weakens every time it is placed, imagine you using it with 1% speed bonus. Beware killer mains, you will never be able to catch me due to this perk because I AM THE SPEEEEEEED.

SHOULD BOONS HAVE TOKENS AND LOSE EACH ONE WHEN USED BY A SURVIVOR? NO.

imagine bringing a perk like Boon: shadow step that according to theory would have 3-5 tokens, you would automatically lose 1 token by simply activating the boon? or lose 1 token every time someone enters the boon radius and leaves? if someone accidentally entered the radius and left soon after you would lose 1 token for free because in theory you would be using it.

    SHOULD CoH BE DELETED? YES.

    BOONS ARE FINE.

boons aren't fine, you can think otherwise but adding them into the game was a giant mistake that devs did... honestly they should be like hexes: ETREMELY powerful but only usable once

I made similar thread or two before I think (long time ago) but it crossed my mind again.

For me when it comes to killers Billy still takes the cake. He looks so funny and goofy in some outfits. Him bumping into objects with chainsaw looks like it came straight from a cartoon.

Hag m1 animation and voice Huntress makes during m1, also hilarious.

Nemesis and Bubba have funny moving animations to me.

Clown's voice sounds funny and sad at the same time so I'm conflicted about that.

Honorable mention, Gf but only because community made him a joke just like they did to bubba.

When it comes to survivors, Claudette is still the funniest to me because a lot of toxic people played her back in the day. Whenever I hear her voice it makes me laugh and I doubt I will ever be able to see her in a different light.

Ash has goofy voice so he is kinda funny.

That is about it because I don't find survivors that hilarious compared to killers. When it comes to actions players do, that is a different story tho.

    What about you guys?

Deathslinger and Clown for their laughs when you hit someone. Jake and Tapp when they were downed (their short scream)

cause his shred can hit throught pallets or walls, can hit you from afar without being fully predictable, isn't it? please... despite i like demogorgon generally speaking he's awfully weak. i don't know about your matchmaking, but mine is full of swf guys who actually know how to loop, and aganist those guys only FEW killers can work... demogorgon is definitely out of that list

dont forget that they are totally working on the bloodpoint grind

they are LOOKING into it... they aren't actively working to reduce it (not yet at least). know how they work they will delay this rework whenever they can cause part of their tactic is to addict people to their game thanks to this infinite grind

  • lmao if you think so... personally i COMPLETELY disagree with you. that map is a nightmare for every m1 killer in the game

  • @itsPina said:

Otz recently posted a video where 70-80% of all survivors he went against for a few day span ran dead hard. How are the devs, notoriously focused solely on data, able to justify not ######### nerfing this perk? Are they going to let the player count reach zero? That's what it's looking like.

Remember when they said new killers would get touched up during the next mid chapter patch? What happened to that? What happened to the key/mori change? What happened to the bloodpoint change?

remember... they nerfed mori and keys with a year of delay... this alone should tell you everything that you need to know

  • @RakimSockem said:

The title alone will make most people not read this I'm sure but I'll explain my opinion anyway.

I'll make a brief comparison to another game and then I'll get to my point. In Apex Legends (yes I'm aware it's not an asymmetrical game). certain characters are just naturally stronger than others. I main Wattson and Lifeline but I know characters like Octane, Valk, Pathfinder, and Wraith are considered "higher tier" for their mobility and ability to take high ground. Do I think Wattson should be buffed to be able to get high ground and compete with those characters? No, that would be silly. Her playstyle is different and her skill cap should be different.

Going back to DBD, I always see comments about buffing certain killers to the level of the likes of Nurse, Blight, Huntress, etc and I personally don't think they should. Their playstyles are different and they should perform at their current levels based on what type of character they are. Myers should never have the map pressure of a Spirit. Clown should never have the same camping control as a Hag. Killers should not be on the same levels in what they're able to do.

Additionally, just like there are people who play in Masters and Predator ranks in Apex with low tier characters, there are people who play DBD who can pick up ANY killer and do well with them. Which means that the issue isn't actually the characters, it's the skill level of the majority of players and I think that's a harsh truth most people aren't ready to accept. The majority of DBD's player base (and this is directed at survivors AND killers) are just not as good at the game as they think they are. Plain and simple. Your inability to 4k with the Wraith doesn't make the Wraith bad because someone else using the same character against the same team COULD get it done. Therefore, the issue is the player, not the character.

MAYBE Myers needs a slight buff to get out of tier 1 faster but that's literally it. Every killer is fine as they are and should not be buffed or nerfed. (Except the Nemesis tier up sound. that thing is too loud and needs a heavy nerf)

if you are convinced of this then you should try to do a game on the game (no pun intended) with demogorgon or any other normal m1 killer... you'll change quickly your idea, trust me

What are you reporting that is toxic? End game chat? Cause if its they looped me flashlighted me clicked at me or teabagged me they aren't going to do anything. To my knowledge things that are "toxic" are not reportable they are just annoying and as long as they are not abusing a bug they won't do anything cause there is legit nothing to do....

to do some examples: "#########" "hope that you die of cancer" "your mother copulate with primates" "die of cancer" etc etc... those kind of stuff... looping is literally a game mechanic, didn't see anything toxic about it and tbags (despite i consider this really annoying) aren't object of reports in any way cause is a game mechanic that too... if you don't believe me i've also screenshots of my average match on dbd

2 increase waves of cheaters and subdle speedhackers (i've them at least one of those every 3 matches done)

3 EXTREME UNBALANCE (for having the slightest hope for winning or to get enough points as killer you have to play the meta, while solo survivor sucks but not for the killer for being strong, but for your teammates for being giant flaming hoes most of the times)

4 no variety (i don't remember the last time that i saw a killer picking perks like dark devotion or forced penance and survivor picking off the record or calm spirit)

    5 HUGE grind

    6 too many crutch perks

  • he needs a complete rework, his power is obsolete. Once he was fine, but now, with all the reworks that map had (good luck to find some grass in order to hide your traps), the swf with voice comm (it's sufficient a single guy who will follow you for the entire match and disable every trap settled to screw you badly, forcing you to be a pure m1 killer without power) and the huge amount of time that you'll loose in order to set up your traps well... you get the idea why he's in a bad spot

That change doesn’t address the core problem of the perk: needing to hook every unique survivor to activate. That is terrible perk design, as there is no guarantee a killer will come across every survivor in every trial. Some trials go too fast, some survivors immerse, etc. etc.

this is also true, but the perk was probably thinked that in order to work you must chase every survivor (incentivize non tunneling gameplay), so if devs will eventually rework this perk, the requirements for using the perk will probably be the same... the problem about this perk is that isn't worth it to use... if you were rewarded with a BIG slowdown (or BIG buffs for the killer itself) for doing this kind of gameplay, i bet that most killers will stop tunneling... the idea behind this perk isn't bad at all, but it was applied badly, as usual...

  • @DyingWish92 said:

Anyone else feel the gen blocking should last longer?? Perhaps 60-80 seconds. Killer works hard to get 4 stacks, 4 hooks on 4 different survivors which sometimes can cost them the game getting to many mixed hooks.

This would be an extremely healthy change as it would give killer a huge reward for not tunneling 1 or 2 survivors which all survivors seem to complain about 24/7. So it benefits the killer by stopping gen progress for playing in a more fun way but also allows the survivors a more fun game as no one is getting tunneled to death. I feel like 40 seconds is just not enough and that's why not many killers run the perk.

Of course one issue would be getting 4 stacks of it at 4 or 5 gens against bad survivors but that's more of a "get better" issue as no killer should be hooking everyone on the team that early unless the team is just putrid.

it would be more fair if this perk will activate 2 times (1st time after hooking everyone, and a 2nd time once you hook everyone again)

Haven't played for half a year, played 6 soloQ games today, won only once, because another survivor sacrificed himself for me and died on the hook. 5 games out of 6 ended in 4k. 5 out of 6(!) and that's the usual number for soloQ from my past experience. How is it balanced? It's a joke.

    MMR doesn't fix anything.

For YEARS(!!!!) we are asking BHVR to do something about soloQ.

See you again in another 6 month.

you can't do much when the issue comes from the people in your team... most solo survivors are just trolls or EXTREMELY bad, both in taking decisions (example, you have kindred and they see the killer camping... the entire team will try to do the save anyway without borrowed time instead of doing generators... this is a stupid and bad play... you can't change how the people apply their logic) or regarding proper gameplay (imagine people that go down aganist a trapper without traps in less than 10 seconds). i can assure you that the moment that you'll find good solo survivors in your team, you'll have no problems to escape (the only killers that could still be problematic in those cases are nurses and blights)

  • @rangerdanger0 said:

So when are we going to nerf/balance these perks? With them both combined, the killer gets a 40% regression on gens. We get all our perks nerfed but we can't get a balance on some killer perks? All killers run these days are those two perks together, talk about meta perks.

scourge hooks are only 4 and the map rng will screw you badly quite often... Pop was already nerfed (from 60 seconds to 45 seconds). i don't see valid reasons to nerf those two perks... for your logic then survivors should have ds, iw, CoH, bt, dh and ub nerfed cause they are always used in the meta...

Tbh Freddy is pretty unique when it comes to gen pressure, but hella weak when it comes to looping. I havent played freddy pre-rework but from my understanding old freddy seemed funner.

What are your thoughts on Freddy? He's one of my favorite horror genre killers and Im just trying to be different when it comes to killer mains. You barely see or hear anybody talk about Freddy and most people take him as an easy win for surv.

1st freddy was extremely weak but it was also fun cause he had a new mechanic that was very interesting (dream world)

reworked freddy was a bit boring but it was a BALANCED killer, then people complained about him until they got 2 minor nerfs (his addons were nerfed twice) and a big unneded nerf (his basekit)

the actual freddy is just a chore to play, easy loopable and with his power gutted due to the numbers of his dream snares reduced and the ms reduced to 4 while putting those snare (they even reduced the number of dream pallets)

i would gladly see a rework who mixed his old basekit with the new one (invisible when not in the dream world and with a teleport and the old wallhack in the dream world and the survivors who are in the dream word could only use the alarm clock in order to wake up... addons could exchange the default wallhack with dream pallets or dream snares)

Every person I have reported with an additional ticket (when they are on the steam platform) has been perma banned for death threats or if they wished I was dead via self harm. Support team takes those reports seriously.

then you are lucky... i'm still waiting their bans for those things (even a week ago i reported someone who told me to die... guess what? he's still playing... if you don't believe me i've also the screenshot as a proof to show you)

  • actually for me she's unplayable aganist people who are somewhat decent (little premise: i play without headphones, but you shouldn't force people to use headphones for playing efficiently the game imo). people know always where i'm phasing but i don't know where they are... it's frustrating to say the least (also she should be buffed, giving her a 4.6 ms)

Why'd you stop reading at a truthful statement? does truth hurt?

because it's simply a false statement, that's why. As far as i know only the last patches are "buffing" (even this it's debatable since stalking killers will have their stalking range nerfed) killers (2 low tier killers buffed and the people still whining about them despite their buffs were still on ptb), but even in the case you were right about the nerfs on survivors, i would say that those nerfs were tiny and not too much problematic, while certain killer that were touched were completely destroyed (deathslinger and billy for example) and other killers were nerfed because muh statistics (the pig and the twins)

Just be respectful to your fellow DBD player Guys, It's only a game if the game doesn't go your way or you get tunneled, camped whatever you can vent your frustrations in a respectable manner. For the love of god wishing harm or death on anyone is absolutely disgusting behavior. Hold people accountable for actions yes but in a humane way. Rant over just wanted to share an experience I had last night. Take Care everyone and be safe.

only a single match? this kind of things happens to me on a daily basis (and no, before you even say it i play chill without camping and tunneling, but even in that case it's unjustified behavior nevertheless). it's useless reporting those people with proofs since they won't get banned (i've opened a lot of tickets in those years, noone of them succeded). just laugh of them or straight up ignore what they will say...

Probably the fatal flaw of asymmetrical genre that it can't be ever balanced.

Currently in dbd we are seeing constant nerfs on survivor side, while killers are getting buffed.

Unfortunately the reality that these nerfs only makes playing solo survivor even more miserable. Now these survivor players will play in SWF, thus making playing killer miserable or they are just straight leaving the game(this is one part of reason for player drop)

Because lets be clear in one thing, when 4 good player, plays in SWF the game is fundamentally broken into pieces, you have so much information(knowing the killer location almost all the time), reliable teammates who can play decently, while the killer in chase, everyone else on gens, its like a god mode, most of the killer cast has no answer to this. Even the 2 killer who can do something requires significant time investment, you play killer like its your job(streamers can perform well or whose life is the game). So killers has to face more players in SWF, which in turns frustrates them and lot of killer just switch to play as survivor in SWF, or leaving the game(another reason for playerbase loss)

    So in summary:

Solo survivor percentage is getting lower by each week, which in turn increases survivor numbers in SWF, which in turn decreases killer numbers because playing against SWF is really unfair for Killer.

I don't know how could this be ever balanced. If solo would be buffed ,then SWF would get out of hand. Giving comms wouldn't solve because most would refuse to use.(seen in games where comms there but you still need SWF)

i stopped reading at: "Currently in dbd we are seeing constant nerfs on survivor side, while killers are getting buffed"

Except if the overused thing wasn't nerfed, but buffed, the devs' logic can't really have been 'overused things get nerfed', can it?

ruin change was a nerf overall, not a buff for a simple reason: that perk gave the so much needed "passive pressure" to killers, slowing down the pace of the game, while the actual one is gen autoregression... while survivors aren't on generators. with that in mind you also should think that this perk is a hag teacheable (killers who set up traps like trapper and hag needed something that slow down the game, and the old ruin was PERFECT for this reason) so this perk was created for gaining time without pressuring generators (thing that you cannot mathemtically do since you can't be in 4 places at once). the actual ruin is decent only on high mobility killers and it's worthless on killers without mobility (unless you have some rare instances when the survivors will 3 gen zone themself and the totem is situated in the center of those 3 gens... a really niche instance)

I had this thought last night when playing killer going against a Dweeb squad. When I first start playing killer, the survivor I hated the most were Dwelfs cause they seemed to be the most toxic and irritating to a killer that had a few hours into the game. Cut to years later and I love a dweeb squad as they either are memeing around or just chill.

Now I just get annoyed by all Neas. Some of them are good at looping, but most of them are good at annoying you for attention. Honorable mentions Claudettes, and Nancys.

i found bill and bunny feng quite annoying, but generally speaking whoever will be a toxic prick

It's her power. She has to put a trap AND someone has to finish a gen AND she has to know it's this box exactly. Sorry but she deserves the kills, they are no free escapes.

unless she will start the trial with his red addon (survivors will start with a reversed bear trap on their heads), in that case a survivor will die for sure cause he/she won't be able to use the box that the pig is bodyblocking... the only way to won this "mindgame" is to put 5 gens at 99% and then to complete them all at the same time, open the gates, and the survivor that wasn't able to toggle the RBT will escape throught the hatch, but this won't unlikely happen (especially if you play solo survivor)

I mean, the survs smash generators with their toolboxes and heal in seconds with their boons but meanwhile, as soon as you tunnel someone it's like their brains turn off and they swarm you/DC.

Really starting to enjoy tunnelling more than patrolling generators only to find the survivors have gone ultra-immersive mode or they've run miles cuz of spine chill.

I don't get fun games anymore due to them lasting a few moments so I guess that means the person being tunneled doesn't either.

i don't tunnel for free, if i do it, it's for necessity most of the times (the typical case of a single chase = 3 gens) or if a survivor was toxic. i don't like doing it, but most of the times it's the most valid strategy that a killer has and surviovors will force you to do so...

I just wanted to drop in and say that the recent PTB really caught my eye.

It looks like a promising step in the right direction, and I hope to see health patches of similar quality in the future.

I haven't played since Jan 4th, and I moved DBD into my "Permentantly Uninstalled" category on Steam.

After wrestling with the game on-and-off thru the latter half of 2021, I really believed my time in the fog was up. Confidence in the dev team reached an all-time low by January of 2022, and I'm still skeptical about the future of DBD.

That said, patch 5.7.0 looks like a solid 10/10 (known issues aside), and I see myself dropping in for a day or two to see whats new.

The hemorrhage rework really excites me, and I hope killers find it alleviates some of the stress they experience against coordinated SWFs. "No more 99% heals" is going to be the talk of the town, but I see this change having a bigger impact on survivors who heal mid chase and within the killer's terror radius. It also opens the door for perks & add-ons that can temporarily "stop the bleeding."

With nearly 2.5k hours under my belt, I'm not looking for flashy changes. The last 7 DLC releases have been a total flop, despite what player counts at the time might've told you, so no one should have any reason to believe an 8th DLC is going to turn this game around.

Keep bringing the quality of life improvements--figure out how DBD can maximize its great player experiences--and I promise you I'll come back for another 2.5k hours.

If you've read this far, and you want to share your unfiltered thoughts on DBD atm, I'd love to hear them.

this won't change nothing... the added effect on hemorrage status ins't too much problematic since by common sense you'll start healing when you aren't chased and the killer is elsewhere... it's the "ruin" of healing to put it shortly, it could be effective only when you actually start pressuring survivors, but it won't aid you to gain time passively like the mangled effect under certain circumstances do... once again only high mobility killers will take advantage of this effect

So I took a little break from the game and this week I've been playing again. I have never gone against so many teams where every single survivor runs DH. WHat's going on??

aside the fact that this perk has been always so popular, there's a tome challenge that require dead hard if you want do it easily (avoid 5 hits)
