Can confirm EU has plenty of Spirit players.

No Billy or Slinger tho that I can agree with

neven met a spirit for an entire month... all that i saw were blight/huntress/(now nurse again) and some pig (probably for the tome challenges)...

I think I felt more hype for Pinhead's chapter than this one TBH.

The killer is weak, the survivor is no where near unique (not even faithful to the original story) and there are no new maps even the perks are quite buggy/underwhelming.

I'm quite disappointed since I really wanted this chapter to be good.

don't forget, they also re enable the old infinite in the badham school...

It was overall a pretty nice game, I got 6 hooks and I almost got a 2k, they managed to make it out with good teamplay. They played very well and are a great team I give it them that.

However after this chat they went on my profile and all added me and wrote in my comments. They wished me corona and my parents a painful death. They said I am a sub human and should be enslaved. They went into my friends profile and also harrased them, they found (somehow) my you tube channel and wrote under roughtly half of my videos in the comments that I am a loser and should go kill myself. They went to my discord server and spammed my channels and tried to write to other ppl on my mod staff how pathetic my content is and that they should be ashamed of themselves beeing friends with me.

I took it at first lightly as you see in the chat, I was just meming but I would say after they came that far to my you tube channel its reaching to a point that I would call this REAL hatred towards someone.

I have honestly no idea what I did to deserve this from their persective, I tried to write to them on steam after I accepted the add that they should calm themselves, after roughly a few hours they finally stopped, but I doubt it was because of me saying to stop, more like after they went tired of keep haressing me.

Whats the point of this post? I am just wondering if there is any way to report his outside of dbd. I have the feeling simple reports arent enough.

just a normal match on dbd, nothing strange tbh... i've this kind of situation almost all my matches... personally i enjoy their salt, it's usually more entertaing than the match itself (cause you know, they usually tryhard by bringing annoying offerings such as maps, jar, murky reagents or petrified oak and playing sweaty in general paired with meta perks of course, meanwhile i'm playing with brown addons like party bottle, Rickety Chain, etc etc...), just don't even waste your time to report them since they won't be banned (i still have tickets from 1 year ago that weren't resolved). i suggest you also to close the endgame chat if you don't like seeing those things and to NOT ACCEPT random friendly requests from people, unless you saw that they played chill (for instance people who don't tbag and play the game without exploiting perks out of their context or being pricks in general)

  • @Aurelle said:

    Just curious.

If I was new to DBD today, I would probably play it a little until I get fed up with the grind.

    ABSOLUTELY ######### NOT

Dead Hard should only receive a slight nerf. Instead of the distance it goes now the distance should be just a little shorter not by much. People have to remember that killers have Blood Lust so this is a fair and reasonable nerf. The invincibility frames should stay though.

killers have bloodlust cause the devs aren't good enough to fix their map design... certain loops would be literally infinites if bloodlust will be gone, and that's a fact... dead hard should be COMPLETELY reworked and put in line together with the other exhaustion perks (boost of your ms of 150% for 3 seconds and with certain condictions)

  • @Config said:

Everyone knows that deadhard needs a rework, but what is ur idea to rework the perk?

Tell ur idea in the comments

My first idea: after arning 1 successful protection hit dead hard actives for 15 seconds, while deadhard is active the protected surv has all his scratch marks, pools of blood, grunts of pain are hidden and your aura Is revealed to the killer untill deadhard's duration is over.

My second idea: whenever a 8-10-12 meters from other survs they gain the ability to pick them selfs up at 150% the normal speed (a 50% bonus)

once you recover from the dying state, you get a speedbost of 150% for 3 seconds. the actual dead hard shouldn't exist in the 1st place...

How exactly am I “reaping what I sow”? When I play survivor I’m not toxic in the least. That’s like saying “I had some people who wore jeans insult me. From now on I’ll punch all people who wear jeans because you reap what you sow”.

Generally speaking, that wasn't directed directly toward you... You could be one of the kindest survivors out there, but if you'll face a killer that had enough of the general behavior of the people who play dbd (there's a reason why this game is well know for having a toxic playerbase), you can't expect to be treated nicely, especially if we consider the fact that a killer can't afford the time to see who's toxic and who isn't...

  • @Sluzzy said:

Out of the matches played this morning, a whopping 80% of those the killer tunneled people out of the match. This is a very serious problem and has put the game's health in serious jeopardy. My last match was against a bad Huntress abusing broken hitboxes for an unfair advantage so as soon as I was unhooked, here comes an undodgeable hatchet and I'm back on the floor again.

I used DS but it didn't matter. She continued to chase me and because I got locked in an animation I had to suffer an uncounterable hatchet again. Why is this a thing?

For a game that is about 6 years old, this is a shame. Survivor is seriously lacking in ways to deal with tunneling. In every single patch ever released, killer gets a very powerful slowdown perk to deal with things they do not like. (Scourge Pain, Deadlock to name a couple of recent ones).

All of these perks that have given killers power creep but survivor can still be tunneled out of the match instantly. This makes playing killer a lack of any challenge because you can pick all of these extremely powerful perks for an advantage but still do things that was still possible all the way back in 2016.

Survivors need better perks for survival. The game shouldn't be so disadvantageous for one side. The player counts are dropping fast due to very unfair matches.

Remember that this is an asymmetrical game, you can't pretend to 1vs1 the killer by yourself. When the killer is obsessed with you just play safe and force him to waste enough time to allow to your team to finish generators. You'll eventually die, but you will also allow your entire team to escape...

Anyway, back to the topic, even the devs considered tunneling a strategy, so the classic "deal with it" is applied here cause things won't change...

  • @_AdamFrancis_ said:

    Nerf dead hard.

    Nerf COH.

    NERF UNBREAKABLE.

WATCH SURVIVORS STOP CLICKING AND THINKING THAT THEY ARE SO GOOD AT THE GAME.

WATCH SURVIVORS STOP TRYING TO BULLY KILLERS.

    WATCH SURVIVORS CRY.

    And I'm all for it.

This game has been survivor sided for far too long. I think it's time the tables turn. 😘

i would be already happy if devs will finally change and rework COMPLETELY dead hard... regarding CoH i would gladly revert the nerf (and toggle the noise that it will generate) but at 1 condition: survivors as a team can use it only once par trial (making them like killer hexes: high risks/high rewards). ds should be disabled when entering a locker or during the endgame cause at this point you aren't being tunneled anymore, but at the same time it should be possible using it more than once, in that way it will become a fully anti tunnel perk

  • @Nebula said:

    I know, I know, another camping/tunneling post.

This problem though, is apparent in at least half my games, where the first person to get hooked will be tunneled and or camped out of the game as quickly as possible to turn it into a 3v1.

This just perpetuates a cycle of survivors complaining about these problems, running meta perks to counter them, then playing killers who don’t do either of these things and punishing them for playing in a more fair manor, turning them into killers who camp and tunnel these survivors out.

This is a very unhealthy cycle for this game to be in, as it promotes “toxic” behavior and a stale meta. Survivors will run the same 4 perks every game, and killers will get a person out as soon as possible to counter this.

I understand that this has been a problem for a long, long time, but when it comes to game design, fun should be the first priority. The current state of the game does not promote “fun” interplay between the survivor and killer and 90% of the time, one side of the lobby will be left with a sour taste in their mouth.

Apologies for the rant, but just wanted to put my thoughts out there.

as far as i know, people are doing this for 2 main reasons:

    1 it's extremely effective (it's MUCH easier managing 3 survivors instead of 4 and that's a fact)

2 people are tired to being mocked every single game from toxic survivors (i'll tell you an anedocte: i was a chill killer, but after 4 years of matches full of toxic brats who didn't appreciate my fairplay and quite the contrary keep mocking me, well, my patience runs out... a valid example was a premade that i faced 3 week ago twice, the 1st match i played "fair" doing 9 hooks, endgame they trashtalked me for being bad at the game and kept insulting me and my family... 2nd matches that i did again aganist those little cough cough (inserit bad word) i tunneled on purpose and guess what? 4/4 and the end chat as always filled with insults... what changed? nothing except for a little crucial detail: i kill them all without thinking to their fun and i was satisfied for punishing those guys)

i know that being tunneled and/or camped isn't fun (even i who eventually did those things i found them annoying and boring), but, as i like to say, you reap what you sow (you should also thanks mainly the devs for promoting toxicity btw... i did A LOT of reports in those years regarding people who cheats, was racist or wish dead upon me and my family and guess what? all those people were left UNPUNISHED and are still playing like nothing happened)

  • @GeneralV said:

    Hag is perfectly balanced.

a swf with a torch will wreck her without problems... maybe aganist solo survivors, but actually you can't tell a killer that's perfectly balanced... in all this time devs didn't had choose a proper object of balance (solo survivor is miserable due to the general incompetence of your teammates and swf is actually broken, so doing a mix of both will result in a bad spot for solo when aganist a meta killer and killers when they are facing swf), at least, in my opinion...

Ah yes the good old "of you say this then you're definitely an x main who actually doesn't play the other side"

it's a fact... until survivors keep doing m1 on gen without troubles (you can't be in 4 places at once) and they have a good map (there are actually FEW maps bad for survivors right now), you have to play scummy if you want win as killer... doing mixed hooks will lead to your defeat if you are playing with a killer that isn't meta... it's even more easy when you are in a sfw: "the killer is chasing me, do gens". it's like doing the adept for a killer when you don't have slowdown perks: you must PRAY that the survivors that you are facing are bad or they are memeing around, otherwise you'll be stomped for good

My past games, whenever I pick Trapper, I feel like it's bully simulator or something.

I set up few traps (usualy not into super obvious spots, unless it's no-grass map), still 80% gets found even in the early game. Then I maybe catch like 3-4 people on a hook and exits are open. "gg ezi". It's also quite rare to catch someone in a trap and when they do, there is like 50% chance they are far away for me and they get rescued from the trap in like 3 seconds.

In another words, he feels like M1 Killer, almost no power at all that eats some time in the early game = ezi gens.

I don't know what to do with him. Does anyone feel similar or is it just me being "super unlucky" or "get gut" or something.

that's the neat part: you don't!

As you said, if you're against a strong team that takes all the strongest stuff with them: you either take the strongest stuff too or you can't compete.

But if you find it hard to win without slowdown perks against an average swf team (or even solos) that isn't tryharding at all, well, got bad news for you.

1st of all i'm the classic guy who play with brown/yellow addons (sometimes even with nerfed addons) mainly cause i don't like broken stuff from both sides

2nd i said that when you are facing strong teams the game become UNPLAYABLE, not hard... (and besides, they can still loose if they play without brain during the late game)

3rd so you think that's possible winning without slowdown perks aganist average survivors WITHOUT being forced to play arond their altruism or in a unfun way for both sides... for example in a map like the game with a m1 killer aganist an average team who play safe... honestly i'm starting to doubt that you even play killer at this point, or at least you play aganist REALLY BAD survivors everytime

When the blight go on the wall and after no collision it's a cheat for me, like I said "for me"

in the meanwhile i'm trying desperately to bounce on walls in order to turn and hit someone, but he keeps sliding on objects... quite infuriating tbh... honestly they are unfair only when they did turn rates not possible in any way without raising your dpi (and THIS is cheating imo since it's not intended that this killer can turn in that way)

  • @dictep said:

Same as killers without slowdown perks

slowdown perks are a (forced) necessity sadly. Did you tried to do some matches with a normal killer without any type of slowdown perks? it's literally unplayable, especially when you are aganist full swf team or tryharders. anyway for those perks you must work and play good for using them (except deadlock who will trigger everytime a gen is completed) while dead hard is a "reward" for being injured and mostly it will trigger whenever you want, without conditions. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/260885/dead-hard-must-be-reworked for a full explanation about this perk and why it should be changed

I'm curious, are people only using DH because it's good, or do they use it because DH is fun? Maybe both?

fun? decisely no. i want to outplay the killer without using a button to escape chases personally speaking, it's a lot more satisfying

  • @Lucario576 said:

How many times SWF's abuse those perks to get everyone out, DS should be a anti-tunneling perk, but there are a lot of instances where people use it just to f*ck with the killer at endgame, same with BT, i think these should be nerfed in endgame because, cmon its endgame, everything goes. What do you think?

technically killers already had a valid counter... tunneling without considering ds from the beginning... after all this is what most survivors want since they want to keep this perk for the late game; in that way they can escape without much troubles in the endgame... the actual state of the game will FORCE most killers to play in a certain way if they want win

Hillbilly - Can be looped and juked, obstacles and breaking line of sight are very strong againts him.

Nurse - Pallets dont do much but she can be juked, breaking line of sight helps a lot, even a well timed pallet drop can stun her.

Myers - Stealth m1 killer that can be looped and juked.

Hag - Hit and run killer that can be looped and juked.

Doctor - M1 killer that can be looped and juked.

Huntress - Ranged killer that can be looped and juked, tall obstacles and breaking line of sight are very strong againts her.

Pyramid Head - Can be looped and juked.

Blight - Can be looped and juked, obstacles are very strong againts him.

Twins - Can be looped and juked.

Trickster - Can be looped and juked, talle obstacles and breaking line of sight is very strong againts him.

Nemesis - Can be looped and juked.

Pinhead - Can be looped and juked.

The Artist - Cant be looped or juked in a chase because of her zoning, holding W or avoid chase is the only thing that works but I dont think that's viable counterplay.

Honestly she's one of the easiest killer to loop imo... I still have to find an artist that gave me troubles (I lost to her only a single time and that was only cause I had trolls in my team)

Not to those that are still here today. I mean that if you were playing DbD on release, only for somebody from the future to show you what DbD is like today, during their time, what would be the general reaction?

probably greneral disappoint for various reasons:

1 the game isn't focused on stealth anymore

2 still full of bugs even after 5 years

3 huge quantity of toxic brats/cheaters and generally a bad community who will ignore the problems that a specific side side has rather than being emphatic (think that there's eternal war between "survivor mains" and "killer mains" when in reality there are only players who can/should play both sides)

4 changes that nobody asked but this didn't stopped the devs (old ruin, deathslinger nerfs, borrowed time buff/nerf etc etc)

    5 too much grind

    6 unfun mechanics

7 players reports ignored (see point 3)

8 content that was removed from the game (see stranger things chapter or bubba's masks)

    9 ...and probably other reasons

When you constantly buff killers and nerf survivors,

keep making new killers that are anti loop,

making perks that block all generators,

create maps that are just straight hallways,

    keep incentivizing tunneling and camping,

rarely change any survivor perks in a stale meta,

    Somehow make holding W meta,

don't fix window and pallet vaults,

making basic functions not work (spamming space bar 5 times and nothing happening),

    slowing down generator speeds,

    you lose players.

if you think this you should go to play killer then... since it's the "easy" mode you won't have troubles...

Honestly old Undying was an issue because solo queue and nothing more 🏃 boons are mostly fine as a mechanic, could do with some slight tweaks like a cooldown before you can re-light a totem but outside of that I don't think they really need a change.

And then there's COH, which needs to be nuked.

the problem about boons aren't their effects imo, but the fact that they can be spammed... i would gladly revert the CoH nerf, in return boons can be used only once during the trial... Add also the fact that they should be "divided" from each other (you have 2 boon perks? 2 totems are required instead of a single one with both effects). those perks should be high risks=high rewards

There are so many strategies, techs, and builds with the killer that are waiting to be discovered. Instantly deciding how good or bad they are isn't a smart thing to be doing.

"But Doritohead, this killer is F tier! (or overpowered) This time it's true, I promise!"

I'm not suggesting that Sadako is either strong or weak. In fact, I don't have any opinion about how strong she is at all, and that's ok. Time will tell if this killer is good or not.

she's a noobstomper... good survivors will kick her ass without much problems. proofs:

    1 she's a m1 killer without antiloop abilities

2 she's a mix between wraith and freddy, but worse

    2. Erruption + Pop is underrated as ######### and just as worthy of a anti gen combo as ruin + undying or pain resonance + dead mans switch!

1 not at all since the bugs, reworked maps and the "new" mechanic that they added only worsened the current situation

2 extremely overrated imo, especially when you are against people that know how to play. The only thing that actually work fine are genblocking perks... every killer in the game (except maybe billy and blight) don't have enough time to even use pop since the gen 8/10 will be already completed (scourge hook for delaying the repairs and pop goes to weasel once you reached that gen)

Oni's power was never meant to passively reach 100% and it doing so is what caused the issue.

if that was the case then why in the beginning both in ptb and when he went live his power worked in that way? i honestly doubt that this wasn't intended... they modified the oni to the current state cause they weren't able to fix that bug that they added with one of their famous patches (or because it was the quickest way to deal with that issue)... talking about patches that broke the killer's power... how curious that they had disabled the nurse, isn't it (i was stucked too in the grab animation during a match right after the patch that "fixed" the nurse)? as i said, if they aren't sure about their patch fixes, they shouldn't even release them imo. as far as i know they are the ONLY company that implement new bugs after every patch released (at least regarding major/gamebreaking bugs)

  • just yesterday i had another one of those toxic brats... selfhook on a invisibe hook when i was hitting him and speed hacks of course... funny cause he justify his hacks cause i was camping the hook (you know, if you are taunting with flashlight all the time instead of doing generators, the other guy was running around like an headless chicken, trying to do a save, it means that only a survivor was doing gens...) quite frankly i'm tired of all this situation regarding hackers. even with proofs bhvr won't do nothing to them (and yes, i'm sure of what i said: i was still awaiting a reponse from them regarding a ticket that i sent more than 3 months ago... useless to say that the guy who cheated is still playing the game like nothing happened)

She went from 50 major bugs to 2 to (so far detected) 1. I wouldn't compare that at all to Twins

it was an example. the point is that you shouldn't release unfinished stuff or fixes if you aren't sure that this could cause other issues. i still remember that they did those things in the past to the other killers aswell... During the hillbilly and leatherface rework for example, or when they fixed the oni (if the power was fully recharged automatically he wasn't able to activate it... they fixed this issue with a little shadownerf: passive recharge of the power couldn't go to 100%, forcing you to seach and absorbing at least a blood orb before having your power at disposal)

Pre-existing bugs (ie. 2nd blink delay) have been fixed, according to others in the thread. Doesn't stop new ones bring made.

they fixed a bug that they implemented with the last patch (most of the released patch was related to her bugs)... tbh that situation shouldn't be happened in the 1st place imo... in a certain sense it reminds me of the twins release: they were a giant flaming bug, yet they release that mess without fixing them 1st...

they claimed that the nurse bugs were fixed, right? then why yesterday i was stucked in the grab animation all the match in the killer shack? i was freezed on the spot and i couldn't move at all (i've also screenshots as proofs and i already reported this bug to the devs, but since we can't post images anymore cause certain "people" did what they did and posted nasty things...). they claim to do those fixes, but the only good fix that they had done (at least on this they gave a better QoL change) until now was the executioner's daily, everything else is still unchanged for me...

I never thought I'd say this.. but here I am saying it.

Now a part of me recognizing that that type of style of play is a style of play and legit. "Legit" as in not breaking any rules. Fair enough. That being said...

I think it's come to a point where a mechanism needs to put in place for campers. The past few weeks at least 8 of 10 games is a camper. It would be okay if you were playing with friends that cared to risk getting you off a hook but as solo - no one cares. You're hooked - you might as well suicide and move to the next game.

It's made it not a game really. Not fun for the players.

I know this won't be considered but I'm saying it anyway. Perhaps consider something like you have for the cage. If they stay around the hook to long - it moves.

If this keeps up I think you'll find more and more people won't be bothered to play because quite frankly - they can't actual play.

we have already the necessary tools to deal with camping (kindred+ borrowed time). i want to tell you an anedocte that happened to me yesterday: i was playing leatherface in crotus asylum aganist a group of souspitious survivors (2 of them were using speedhacks), so after my first down i started to camp on purpose for 3 reasons, the 1st one was cause one of them kept harassing me with his flashlight all the time, even after i started camping; the 2nd one cause if i had a survivor on the hook, another one that was running around and the third who was wasting time click spamming with his flashlight; with that in mind, why i should leave the hook if i know that 3 survivors weren't on generators? this was all free pressure for me with the minimum effort and finally the last and most important reason, i camped to see if they were effectively cheating... guess what happened next? one of them teleport herself near the hook and insta unhooked the survivor. endchat he was trying to justify cheating cause i camped... pathetic

NOED and Dead hard are for beginners who don't understand how to play the game with experience. If you're an experienced survivor or killer you shouldn't be using these perks in the first place since these 2 perks make or break the game. Now NOED is weaker than Dead hard since it only works end game and also it can be EASILY DESTROYED with smart, experienced players. Dead hard you can't remove it permanently in the match. it can be used in so many ways that destroys the game, especially since maps are mostly unbalanced and lean towards survivors. People that USE dead hard AND are veteran players who play DbD 24/7 means they are just trying to piss the killer off. Shame on good survivors that USE dead hard and also shame on NOED. I hate these 2 perks in game but I mostly hate DEAD HARD since maps are ALREADY too much to deal with as the killer.

People run crutch perks all the time. Now with that in mind, why I should put to myself a handicap knowing well that there's people out there who spam endlessly those perks? Also it's fun that you mention that noed is for bad players cause they will literally do an exchange: the entire trial with only 3 perks instead of having a 4th perk (potentially more reliable cause you can't erase a bamboozle for example, while noed can be erased even before the perk itself will activate) that gave them more chance... This is a foolish belief imo, noed it's just an incentive for survivors to do other stuff instead of doing only generators (genrush). Regarding dead hard I did a thread about it, you are free to check it since I'm tired of writing the same things about that perk

I was playing Trickster on Dead Dawg Saloon and I found myself in a situation that somehow I had never experienced before in that map (probably because I don't play Trickster and Huntress that frequently, but still, I've played them a lot until I got them to Prestige III)... or at least I don't remember experiencing it.

There is a small house right beside the shack with stairs that lead to a small balcony with a god-window. With 115% killers, a survivor running from you there will get caught eventually. But after a few tries I felt there wasn't anything I could do as Trickster, and I think Huntress would have a similar issue.

An injured survivor was running the building, counter-clockwise, and always going up the stairs and reaching the window. I tried to hit her with some knives at corners, but could barely get chances to do so. As I turned a corner to get her in line of sight, she would already be turning the other and even hitting a single knife was hard and required a very precise timing. I tried to mindgame her by faking to go up the stairs and just walking around it... she was patient, didn't fall for it and didn't drop. Then she waited up there. I tried to hit her with knives, got one or two, but then she crouched in a position I just couldn't hit her and could end up wasting all my knives trying to get her trough the balcony's bars. If I tried to just chase her until M1 range... well, the only possibility would be with bloodlust, but until then it would take a long time and all gens would be done.

So I tried going around the other side to mindgame her. Either way she had enough time to reach the stairs before I could get close.

And even if I somehow managed to get closer at some point, she had the shack window as well, and she would reach it with a fast vault by running counterclockwise. It seemed like an infinite. I just left her and went for someone else.

A skilled Huntress could maybe manage to get a hatchet hit at some opportunity, but the time in line of sight was so short I think it would be hard. Trickster, however, doesn't have even that. Is there a way of countering this that I didn't see?

"that's the neat part... YOU DON'T!"

Getting mad over a video game, yeah, whatever. People have moments. But there is a reasonable boundary to that. There is literally never ever an acceptable excuse for using slurs, encouraging IRL suicide/harm, or threatening someone. People don’t “accidentally” have a “heated gamer moment” saying a slur unless it was already in their vocabulary.

Before someone says something stupid like, ”You can just hide the text box.” The point is people shouldn’t HAVE to do that to not get told things like “I hope you get cancer” or worse. Apathy to a firmer stance is exactly what lets this type of behavior flourish. If you think an immediate permanent ban is too harsh, maybe realize you have it seriously backwards, and allowing people to continue to play after saying slurs, encouraging harm or suicide, or threats over a video game is the thing that’s too harsh. Also, before someone says something stupid like, “It’s just words,” don’t be disingenuous. Language is literally how people communicate with one another and nuances and aspects of language exist that affect the people communicating. That’s like saying, “Cheating is just having help moving some pixels on my screen better.”

half of the people in my matches should be permabanned then... you don't have idea about how much reports (with screenshots) i did and no one was banned... honestly i just ignore it, it's pointless arguing with those kind of "people" since they don't have nothing positive to say

Using the knives well, destroying survivors who underestimate you, and getting some serious snowball all make this killer very satisfying to play when it all works well.

Due to MMR I think I'm going to regret making this post soon, but for now I am having a lot of fun with this killer.

Shout out to Freddy, too. Not exactly a blast to play but there's more to him than I thought. I think more people should give these two killers a try.

wait until you get survivors who know how to counter him... if you don't have bamboozle the shack is literally an infinite (but even with this perk you'll waste too much time chasing in that area, all this without considering the other loops around the shack...)

If you find a cheater ignore them. But in return dont burn the rest of their team . Just play around and give chase. Its not their fault they got paired with a loser. Maybe hook one, kill time, explore the map. Let it go. Dont ruin regular players game because of some loser cheater.

tbh the regular players that are in their team will usually dc if they saw something "souspitious" cause they won't to be associated with those kind of people

I still don't want to play killer anymore, I've stopped a few months ago, but unfortunately, the tomes rarely have a path that allow you to progress through its levels purely playing survivor, so I played some killer games again, and got a taste of why I stopped in the first place.

I had a Dwight on the hook during endgame collapse. He got unhooked by the survivor I knew had borrowed time, so I countered by waiting 20 seconds to hit Dwight, the gate was far enough away for that. When BT ran out, he used DH in the gate, since I positioned myself ahead of him, he dead-harded away from the entity spikes, allowing me to down him and pick him up before he could reach the escape threshold. He then used DS and escaped.

What should I have done here? They told me afterwards that with the right counters, their perks are perfectly fine. What counters are there? This was the epitome of "#########, I screwed, but let's press this button to reverse my mistake, so the killer can't win".

He was unhooked unsafely --> Borrowed Time fixed that.

I waited out his Borrowed Time --> Dead Hard fixed that.

I screwed up his Dead Hard --> Decisive Strike fixed that.

I got 3 second chance perks shoved in my face back-to-back and some people still defend this bullshit as being fair? I did everything right here and I was still punished for it. This stuff leaves an extremely sour aftertaste. I don't feel outplayed or outmatched in skill when the survivor skill is basically: press a button to fix your mistakes.

technically there's a precise counter for this, but it's unfun for both sides... tunnel to death the 1st guy that you see (unless he's a good looper). this is a soft counter btw cause they can always use their perks without a proper counterplay, but dealing with only 3 people in the endgame it's a lot more easier than defending a hook aganist a full premade with meta perks... i hate this kind of situations, but they won't leave you much choices. You can always try to deal with them with a endgame build, but this can work only if survivors want to have a 4 escape at all costs

Yeah it seems like it, as if the devs just couldn't find a solution and want people to forget about it. Seriously?! How hard can it be to just do a check to see if any survivors have played Bubba before the specified date and send 6000 shards their way? And HOW do some people end up getting double the amount, and how to some people who never even played Bubba end up getting them? Like, at least do some kind of check to see if the person has achievement progress on Bubba and give them shards if they do. Genuinely baffling how even the simplest of things has been screwed up

i just did a identical thread... it seems that i wasn't the only one that was bamboozled

When the Hook of Disaster activates with only 0.2 seconds left until the generator is complete, the Survivors are left unanswered. Especially if it's Ruin.

Hook of Disaster needs to be nerfed.

scourge hook: pain resonance is fine. no need to nerf this perk imo also cause you NEED to play well and doing hooks in order to get use of this perk, unlike perks like dead hard (reward you for being injured... reward failure in that case) or noed (this perk doesn't require much effort in order to use it... it's sufficient that you defend at least one totem)

Why is no action being takes against this kind of people. Some main killers go into the game with the main purpose to make the gameplay for the other side as miserable as possible just to get insults on their steam profile. I was against a killer that after the first down brought the survivor to the basement and then he was just standing at front of the stairs (with 5 gens still up). Out of curiosity i checked his steam profile, and what did i find? 686 PAGES of comments, it didnt matter which page i checked it was always the same kind of comments for the past 4 YEARS he has been doing this. HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE EVEN ALLOWED TO STILL PLAY???

technically i'm one of those guys, except that i play fair, that's why i kept even those comments... to show how much toxic (and i'm being kind to say only this) people can be just because they lost in an asymmetrical game NOT COMPETITIVE...

I'm not 100% certain and I actually really hope you're correct. I play on console, and if a player's profile is set to "friends only" we aren't even offered the option to block them. I have a suspicion that blocking only prevents them from communicating with you and seeing your profile.

    Again, I hope I'm wrong.

sadly this is the only thing that will happen. you can block them, but this won't change nothing, you can avoid them manually by dodging the lobby if you see them again (you have to check their profiles manually, if you see someone that you already blocked then you know what to do)

I played dbd for 3 years ( start at 2019 ) I and I just found my first hacker yesterday.

    he crashed my game.

    I hate cheaters

So you were ddossed... Last time that this happened to me was 1 month ago when I was playing with Leatherface... I did a wonderful match in a ######### map, caught the last survivor while she was opening the gate, once I was doing the hook animation, my INTERNET crashed (dbd and discord too)

    Right?

Like, there are times I feel stupid for thinking someone is speed hacking but when you chase them from on side of the map to the other, when they drop no pallets or loop, and you gain little distance on them as a 115% killer something is off.

essentially this is what happened to me aganist that nea... since i wasn't in winning i kept chasing her to see how much far she went... as i said she kept distance even when i reached bloodlust tier 3 with bamboozle... at this point it was clear that she was hacking
