I wonder how the hell I didn't already cleanse it. It would really scare me if it took that many hooks to find it. Like, I would probably just give up.
-
Not going to lie, ever since taking Bubba seriously, I am kind of scared to go back to m1 killers. He is just so much better... The only one that compares is Pyramid Head to avoid that DS. Lol.
-
I am a BBQ gamer for now, but really, the information rarely helps me. I do it for the juicy BP. Otherwise I prefer chase perks.
-
Probably all of the cheaters at high mmr might be the more realistic reason the experience is awful. I mean, besides how imbalanced the game is. I feel bad for any killer playing up there. I pour one out for the homies.

Monstrous Shrine. Only good for basement builds, and even than theres like ten perks that do better
I disagree that there are better perks for Basement fun. I would honestly use it if I wasn't BP farming. What perks are better for basement builds?
-
I hang them on a hook and stare at them until their teammates take pity on them.

The sprit nerf hasn't even gon through yet and they're already moving on to their next target 🙄
Survivors are so efficient they can demand multiple killers be nerfed at the same time. No need to tunnel like a garbo killer main would.

I don't really think you can reduce toxicity by changing the game. Because I don't think it's the game that is the problem, it's the people that are playing it who needs warm milk, cookies and a good night kiss.
I will take that good night kiss, if you are offering, Kira.

I recommend closing your eyes when you see people spamming the crouch button.
Isn't that what the flashlight is for? Survivors even want me to close my own eyes instead of going for the blind? Sheesh!
-
Perhaps. All I know is from my experience in other pvp games, developers do not want stacks to throw a hissy fit once they realize their opponents are higher mmr to compensate for the fact that they are grouped. A lot of people perceive it as a "punishment" for playing with friends. Albeit, the practice is very standard. So I would be extremely surprised if we didn't have something like that in DBD at the moment.

This is the core problem.
Killers can't be balanced around SWF, because that would be miserable for solos.
Killers can't...well, shouldn't be balanced around solos, because then they just get rolled over by any similarly skilled players in a 4man.
The easiest solution - and I've made it before - is to copy what other companies have done with MMR, and attach a scaling MMR increase to people playing in a premade. Like...1.1x for a 2man, 1.3 for a 3man and 1.6 for a 4man.
This means that playing in a SWF will put you up against a proportionally more skilled killer, to compensate for the increased coordination.
How do you know this is not already a factor in the matchmaking?
-
We are missing just about every classic horror monster. Vampire, Werewolf, Mummy, Swamp Monster, and Frankenstein. Heck, robots/android or aliens or demons. I want someone in a monster suit, like Godzilla, but obviously not actually a kaiju.
As for licenses, Jason and Chucky are the only a-listers missing. But there is plenty of room for some other lesser icons like Pennywise, if you ask me.

No, it also gives them a free health state if used properly, with no counter on the killer's end. What you described is a very bad way to use it.
It does not give them a free health state... That is like saying faking a window to make a killer swing is earning a free health state. You just didn't lose your health state.

Camping is really only punished in scoring (which nobody really cared about even before mmr) and has no effect on bloodpoints.
Survivors have unsafe unhooks. Killers should get similar.
At the end of the day I dont think effecting the killers bloodpoints would do a whole lot. But maybe giving the tunnelled survivor a bloodpoint multiplier or a percentage of the killers bloodpoints might help them feel better about it?
As for my opinion on tunneling as a whole? It depends on the situation. At 5 gens? Absolute scummy. At 0-1 gens? What else are they gonna do?
You get less bloodpoints because you aren't chasing, hitting, or destroying anything. For you to get a decent amount of BP while face camping, the survivors need to REALLY be messing up.
-
Why not both? With my chainsaw, I do not even need to make such ethical decisions. You should try it. You end up feeling much more satisfied at your wins when you disgrace them twice as hard.
-
Do you mean have cosmetics that aren't sets? If so... Yes, please. If not, whatever you are saying is going to stay forgotten on my end.

Behaviour seems too concerned with making Killers fun to play against, less so to play as.
Let's hope whatever guardian angel on the dev team who thinks Bubba is fun to play against keeps his integrity.
-
It is an anti tunnel perk, it just happens to also work on people who aren't tunneling. It is literally just a conditional stun.
-
The people celebrating Deathslinger's nerf probably get dunked on by like every killer. Trapper and Pig included. They cheeks be clenched for them Trapper and Plague buffs, bruh.
-
@adirgeforthedead said:
In the original PTB when they introduced the UI currently in live, they had individual counters for Survivors. They were removed from the live release after they realised it encouraged tunnelling.
It actually does the opposite. I do not need a hook counter to go after the one guy I am tunneling. Rofl. Trust me, most killer mains can count to 3.
Where you really get us is counting to 3 multiple times on survivors that are wearing the same cosmetic. As if I can keep track of that much information. Ha ha ha.
-
Pig mains shouldn't agree. And if they do, they are not true Pig mains. Probably one of those boop the snoot types that forgets reverse bear traps are technically lethal.
-
@thrawn3054 said:
If nearly the entire killer base hadn't been saying this for two years it might have been a "hot take". Anymore it's a boring excuse.
As long as people whine about tunneling, I would say the take is at the very least warm.
-
I feel like we aren't getting another licensed for awhile and Jason is probably next regardless.
-
I honestly do not believe Huntress is bad on console. The rest? Probably. Lol. I think Deathslinger is harder on console than Huntress is.
-
I kind of feel the same about Plague buffs. I literally just don't want to play her until they get here in a couple weeks.
-
Nurse is not packing any heat, bro.
-
If they banned people for being toxic in game like they did here, I reckon people would check themselves before they wrecked themselves.
-
Blight is one of the few killers I like on that map, actually. Kind of the only one.
-
If I am in the mood to play him, I will. But honestly, I would almost rather just boot up Overwatch and play Hog if I want some fps hook action. I will be playing him A LOT less.

Devs themselves stated kills / escapes do not count towards MMR....
If they did count it would be far to easy to manipulate it and exploit it.
They said that kills and escapes were not the ONLY variable. It is still relevant, however.
-
When you buy something from the shop. I can see what they are trying to do!
-
Leatherface
BBQ, Iron Grasp, Agitation, and Insidous. You see, the goal here is to down someone and drag them to your basement. If they hook trade, you get another stack of BBQ.
-
I mean, survivors were doing gens, correct? As long as that happened, you are fine. If they refused to, you would be holding the game hostage.
-
I like it with Nemesis because they can stun you if they drop a pallet on your wittle tentacle.

Watch Otz.
additionally, I recommend getting in character.
if you're going to get new characters, I recommend picking the killers you find scariest.
Getting in character? Like, pretend I am an innocent victim trying to protect my family from home invasion against those darned meddling kids... But with the added benefit of being able to eat them fresh?
-
@Sypherpathic said:
Playing killer is definitely helpful. It helps you to see what the killer sees. Pay lots of attention to when, as killer, you are locked into looking a certain direction - like with stuns or pallet kicks. You want to be able to capitalize on this when playing the other side.
It's also good to know what the killer can really see. A lot of people think they are hiding or have escaped when they've left scratch marks all over vertical walls or whatever.
It never helped me. I am competent at killer and still go down in 10 seconds as a survivor. Maybe I am just a lost cause.

Guess I have another definition for rip-off then. It’s really just overpriced IMO. No actual fraud in any capacity as everything can be seen by the customer
I mean, yeah, that is what makes it a rip off. Your personal definition aside. We are on public forums where mostly everyone else uses the standard definition of words and phrases. Lol.
-
Free escapes as survivor. And free reason to guilt free face camp as a killer.
-
So...you are mad about killers that aren't skilled enough? I thought most people complaining about solo queue were people constantly dying. You would think the DC and hook suicide games would be up your alley to challenge you a bit. Lol.
If you want a balanced pvp experience, you are playing the wrong game. Try... Anything that isn't asymmetrical.
-
It gives me a better idea about them as players, so I like it. If you do not think they mean anything, you could just ignore them...
I have no idea why you care if other people care. It is kind of strange.
-
Nah. It will be easy to level her as I only have Bill and Nancy leveled. So she should have perks by level 50.
Still not sure if I want to buy her. I bought the Leatherface mask and outfit, but saved 400 auric cells by skipping the weapon. So I COULD. Or I could wait until I get 9k shards. But I am still missing some killers like Twins and Spirit that I want.
-
Probably people tired of garbage teammates. That is why I am a killer main. Was never a survivor main, but I played way too many team based pvp games. I hit a breaking point and needed to either commit to fighting games again or find something else. This was the something else. And it had so many familiar fighting game characters in it, like Leatherface.

Don't use a hex then?
Or more specifically, use Haunted. They will cleanse it easily.
-
I mean, might as well just make escaping not depip. It doesn't matter now that it has nothing to do with matchmaking.
-
I personally do not like ruin with devour as ruin makes them go totem hunting. I would probably run undying instead to increase the likelihood you get to use it. But then again, a lot of regression options suck... So you almost kind of have to, I suppose?
-
It depends. If you just ran one hex (Ruin), probably Undying. If you run shaman builds or NOED, boon totems, by a landslide.
The real issue, in my opinion, is that Ruin is Ruin and therefore Undying gets a lot of value. I think the two boons we have are very strong, but at the same time, they probably won't be perceived as gamebreaking until we get an overpowered boon.
-
It was viable before... So, yeah, probably extra viable now. Lol.
-
@GoshJosh said:
It wouldn't work from a balance perspective. Killers would just choose the most obscure placements for their hexes, except for ones they would want destroyed.
And how is that a problem, exactly?
-
Because you didn't time it correctly. That is why I think Dead Hard is fine, it takes a lot more skill than killer mains credit.

Why is billy and bubba allowed to have there saw if people are afraid of killer's who camp. Why is myers able to keep his power 99ed if he can just pop it and make sure no one can make the save. It just seems kind of inconsistent. Hell its's nowhere near as devastating on a killer whos slower then most others.
Because Trickster is ranged. Even if you pop tier 3, you need to hit them. Bubba needs to chase the BT imbued survivor. Trickster can kind of just stand there and get them both unless he hooked in a really bad spot.
You can always do the take a hit while the other unhooks. You can't with Trickster. If they hook bomb, they die.
Now they could fix main event to be more useless and last less time. That would probably be healthy for both sides.
