I can't relate personally, I'm fairly new started in July and I'm having a great time playing.
I can relate as I went through the same phase a lot of people here seem to be going through when you play a game for 5 years. Did my stint in Overwatch before I escaped to here. And yeah, having a blast and probably will for a long time to come.
-
It depends, in a lot of ways I prefer it. In many other ways, I wish we had the old system. It is a mixed bag. I could swing either way. Generally speaking, I prefer to have skilled based matchmaking in pvp games. But with how ludicrously survivor favored the game is... I just don't know if it makes logical sense.
-
A survivor main complaining? Why I never!
Just ignore them fam, they would need to post a video of you doing whatever you were doing that was likely not against the rules UNLESS they refused to do generators. Otherwise, watch out. That one is on you.
-
Surprised I do not see more people talking about how outrageous this map is. I always misread it as Suffering Pit for obvious reasons.

When James Sunderland makes his appearance here I expected all Pyramid Heads to tunnel the ######### out of him, until he repents his sins, when Pyramid Head will let him escape.
Doubt this will happen, but it would be great if Guy Cihi did his voice when he comes over!
I know I will be participating in the fun!

But if killers were leaving the game in significant numbers, their queues would surely still be short regardless of SBMM. Low MMR survivors would have extremely long queues if what you're saying is true but I haven't seen anything to suggest that that's the case.
My queues are exactly like that, actually.
At least during the night. Opposite during the day.
-
Well, hey, at least they weren't holding the game hostage!
-
You can pretend getting face camped and beaten on hook is a win, lots of survivors do that to feel better.
-
As a killer main, I didn't really invest too many bloodpoints into survivor. So I have to use the same stuff. Albeit, I do not run meta. I am a Slippery meat gamer. So, you know, killers surely love my unique build.

I don't get the mentality toxic survivors have. Not even going into why they're being toxic for basically no reason. Let's talk about the practicality of their actions.
A Leatherface camps someone to death, and that's the only kill they get. You can argue they should be tbagged because they were that petty to that person and basically ruined their game.
But that's not even the people they tbag most of the time. It's usually a killer who tried to pressure all 4 survivors, hooked everyone at least once, never went for the same person twice, never camped. Maybe they used full gen defence, but can really blame them? The survivors will still tbag at the exits anyway, like the killer did something wrong to deserve it.
It's because of this behavior that killers start to camp and tunnel when they never did. They're gonna suffer some toxicity either way, so why not face camp for the 1k? Probably better kill results than actually trying to have many chases and show off their skill. It's the sad story of the killer role right now.
Oh, don't worry, they teabag me as Leatherface too. Even when I purposely let them go. Nothing will stop the twerking, bruh.
-
I mean, yeah, I generally prefer BP and a free escape. I would never expect it though. As a killer, I usually just let them go if someone DC's first minute or 2 leave randomly while 3 or more gens are left. And if they got mad about it, I would tell them, "I don't care." I am the killer, I decide who to kill. Get used to it, sugar!
-
If I am playing like a degenerate I force the one hook. If I am playing chill, I usually just go look for someone else.
-
Skill based matchmaking is not the problem so much as the game design is.
-
You shouldn't be scared to play killer just because some beta survivor mains can run in a circle or play their qte efficiently. Good for them! I wish I had a clap emote that I could use for when they drop a pallet as they are clearly quite proud of that accomplishment. Nothing scary about that fam, just smile and wave.
-
He is not boring on the killer side. I think you are just "bored" because you cannot loop him.
-
The issue is that Dead Hard has iframes and can enable you to make it to a pallet and break bloodlust which gives you more distance than sprint burst under key circumstances. Plus you activate with a button so you do not waste it.
The distance gained in a hypothetical straight line chase is kind of irrelevant to compare the two, if you ask me. Especially as sprint burst is more used to get you to a tile and avoid a first hit whereas Dead Hard is more to extend a chase and avoid a down.
-
If the Pinhead is a hoarder gamer, nah, I hate him. If he is stupid and runs an inferior build, he is basically the only killer I can consistently counter.

this garbage takes literally real life days to complete
Strongly disagree. I completed the challenge in about 3 hours tops.
I'll admit it's an annoying challenge because if you want to complete it in a reasonable amount of time, you have to throw matches. With that said, the best way to complete it is hide around waiting for your unhooker to go down. I managed to get 3 blood dept unhooks in a single game once, often getting 2.
Luckily I throw games with or without challenges. So that prerequisite is EZ.
-
Tunnel and face camp one while you run Rancor. Nearly 2 guaranteed kills even if the survivors are good. Heck, throw in NOED and maybe you get 3 depending on what kind of second chances they have.

I guess it's not fair to speculate about how the map got made (though I have some theories about it). Bottom line, it's too big and too difficult to navigate. If we measured the size based on how many steps you have to take to get from one side of the map to the other, it would actually seem even larger than it does when we measure it in tiles, because the maze structure makes it so that you have to walk a lot farther to get anywhere.
I'm honestly not sure there's anyone who prefers the indoor maps to outdoor ones, but this one amplifies all of the indoor map problems. You have no visibility. You run into surprise walls. It's hard to find objectives. At least on the other indoor maps there's a hallway you can run around to loop the whole thing, and get to the region you want to be in. In RPD, good luck.
I definitely prefer indoor maps. Or I did. I suppose with Hawkins leaving, that sentiment is weaker. Then again, I am normally playing stealth killers. So... I guess it is obvious why I feel the way I do.

I mean those killers who only search solos at some point will hit a wall of very very long dodging queue if they keep avoid any kind of swf. So revealing swf won't hurt them much.
Look at MMR, while killers complain, they still search match longer while for survivors it's instant.
It depends on mmr and time of day plus your region. I get fast queues as a killer. I have been lobby shopping for Claudettes to get the Bubba mask and it doesn't take me long at all to jump from lobby to lobby under optimal conditions.

This is exactly the reason. Sure it would be a good buff to low tier killers, but imagine an amazing nurse with 5 full perks at their disposal. The game has been built and balanced around the 4 perk system, if they ever changed it it would fundamentally break a very significant portion of the games balance.
To be fair, they could just nerf Nurse.
-
Just be glad it wasn't one of those crash the lobby hackers that force you to DC. Those are the worst, imo. Robbing you of all those precious bloodpoints. And you get penalized for it? Lol.

Dreading, just I've dread Patch 3.1.0 and almost everything released after it.
Yeah, not going to lie, every update scares me a little. One day they will nerf a killer I actually enjoy in a way that effects my enjoyment. This update was more or less a net positive for me with Plague and Ghostface buffs to compensate for the Slinger nerf.

I think you misread. Survivor, who dont kill themself on hook, when the killer camps, should be rewarded.
Nah, they said "if you stay within 32 meters of the killer."
If they meant the hooked survivor, they would have said if the killer stays within 32 meters.

Im learning a new killer atm and lose every match. I had t-baggers in every match. It realy destroys the fun in plaing the game. Do I relay have to play the storngest killers and Tryhard as much as I can just to be able to enjoy the game? If BHVR would make t-bagging bannable the game would be a ot mor enjoyable
If they did, it would only be enforceable on Ghostface and Pig.

Lethal Pursuer gives me an amazing early game, and then Enduring and Spirit Fury carry me during chases. Top it off with BBQ and I'm running the same build on every killer.
Also I unironically love running Bloodhound, Stridor, and Sloppy Butcher together. Please send help.
That Bloodhound, Strider, and Sloppy combo is low key getting buffed with boon totems. At least for the first week when everyone spams them. Lol.

I am going to miss this map. Definitely one of the best for Nemesis. Not just because of zombies, either. All of those unsafe vaults. And the excessive pallets he cuts through like butter. Aah!

Look mate I get you hate getting flashlight people but maybe it is a lot better than 4 medkits/toolboxes?
Flashlights are easily available and are considered the weakest item in the game.
Considered the weakest item in the game by people who have demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of competitive game balance with their horrendous takes. I would take the average opinion on what is strong with a cannister of salt, as alluding to the amount of salt you would need as a grain is something only they would do.
People who think denying a health state is better than denying a hook state are quite frankly not as bright as these flashlights that you can hit from 90 degrees. People who think just because one survivor isn't on a gen, that they are magically getting value despite wasting time trying to zone them away are missing part of the equation.
Do not get me wrong, toolboxes and medkits are good. Especially with add ons. Well, only with add ons, really. But flashlights are far from gimmicks just because your average survivor misuses them.

Sometimes bots are better. If I could outfit a bot to be my teammate I would do it in a heartbeat. Tbh it sounds like a dream to have a bot when the killer is doing alot over one person and not chasing anyone else. I could just be in the wrong community if ppl feel a certain way about my comments.
I definitely agree, bots would make for better teammates. The tutorial bots put in work!

You have your opinion I have mines. Not getting fruity or whatever. Just simply giving a thought.
No, I stated that it was de facto the case by definition. My opinion is irrelevant. The justification for camping is the kill. That is a fact.
Your opinion is that you don't like it. Lol.

It's a unfortunate reality of just any PVP game period. Whether it's because some people are just jerks or some people are a little bit too competitive or some people are just making up for how miserable their own life is by spreading that around. A lot of people just don't have respect for the game and/or their opponents.
All you can do is roll your eyes, not let it get to you, and move on.
Or boredom. There are people who do it just for entertainment.

If I can get the kill cool but if not I'll get the chase, bleed, breaking generators and other points max out to where I can still get decent blood points. With how long matchmaking takes I actually make the most out of getting points. Getting kills does give points. Just not as much. I get why ppl are frustrated on both sides. Spent too much time playing the game to really get it. No matter how bad the player I just don't camp hooks. Nothing can justify that.
Getting the kill justifies it. By definition, I mean. Let's not get fruity.

They do.
I prefer the approach of giving survivors stacking distraction points up to 10k if they stay within 32m of the killer for their entire hook duration.
Wait, what? You want to reward survivors for throwing the game? Um, I mean, yes! What a great idea. I really like this one. Please, let's add this to the game.
-
I am sure a lot of content creators throw games off stream to deflate their mmr. The ones I watch get consistently good survivors. Sometimes weird matchmaking happens though. Not every lobby is going to be a balanced game.

Yeah, this game's community is pretty notoriously toxic, which makes it a bit hard to recommend to others.
To be fair though, I see way more BM from survivors than killers, both in game and post game. If you don't want me to tunnel you down, don't click me or teabag me - because if you want my attention, I'll give it to you.
That said, yeah, this game is in serious need of a jerk purge.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2539184#Comment_2539184
GGEZ or some variant is one of the most poisonous things you can say after a game. A bad loser is understandable. A bad winner is just a colossal bag of butts.
I could come up with literally thousands of better insults than calling the game easy after feigning good sportsmanship. Gg ez sounds like a preschooler thought they were being original when trying to flex on someone in CoD for the first time.
-
Presumably you are high mmr. There is a bit of a role discrepancy up there.
-
To be honest, if they want to stack that much garbage to heal fast, I say let them. They could address the immortal survivors in a different way.
-
What the heck is that Nurse build?
Anyways... It seems random to me. I get a lot of good add ons for killers, but maybe that is because I never use them. Conspiracy!
-
Precision killers are easier on PC. That is the only relevant difference, realistically.

You’re being rather ignorant to compare camping and tunneling with t-bagging. And no, I have no bias, I’m a survivor main whose rather obsessed with Claudette to the point that I role play whenever I play.
As I’ve mentioned before, the only reason to t-bag is to insult the killer, telling them that they’re so bad that you’re able to repeatedly dunk your genitalia into their mouth and they can’t do anything about it. It’s literally laughing at the killer and denigrating them.
Camping and tunneling are nothing like it. They’re not fun, sure, but in no way to they insult the survivor. The only reason people get mad at it is because of entitlement and the refusal to admit that they themselves weren’t very good at wasting the killers time, but don’t want to admit it.
If you want to compare t-bagging to something killers can do, the closest thing would be killers hitting you while on hook.
Hitting after the first, anyways. Sometimes killers hit survivors on hook just to stop their screaming.
-
Okay, Mr. Killer. We get it, you want easy 4k games. Survivors on gens? We are gen rushing and you want us to do something else. Survivors on totems? Too much to keep track of.
Like, are we or are we not supposed to do gens? You should thank me for setting up boons for you to enjoy. I am doing you a favor. And also it stops you from camping, so... That might be the real reason you are concerned. Am I right?

Pressing a button is not toxic or even remotely negative. It's a strat tactic to OBVIOUSLY B8 (and it works cause it gets people like you all defensive about it) whoever is being taunted that's been around since online multiplayer has existed. CoD/Runescape....Even my own Daddy taunts me during a Tennis match to try and shake me up. NO ONE ELSE is responsible for how you process emotions, control yourself.
Your dad needs to tilt you in a friendly game of tennis? Lol...
