Just get rid of the cooldown, if you get that many downs fast to make the perk worth using, you were going to win effortlessly anyways.
-
I just don't vibe with Nurse. I think more people will convert to Blight than Nurse.
-
None of the developers with any influence on balance, but I am sure there are a few.
-
I think a lot of people just get mad when they play nice and then the survivors act like they solved world hunger and created world peace at the end of the game, so, they would rather just 4k them so that their toxicity makes them laugh instead of feel bad.

So with statements like this I would be careful because that can backfire. But
To your point 1. killers have basically the right to play as you want. Everybody has his own preferences and it doesn't matter if it's a fast or a slow match. To your point 2. what else should survivors do in your opinion except totems and gens?
You could go for early saves and chests. The people glued to gens and let people get near struggle before saving are obviously not playing the game for anything other than to win. And then they whine about people killing themselves on hook who didn't want to wait an entire minute just so you could crank out another one. Lol.
As you said though, you can play how you want and people are free to criticize that style.
-
I think the issue is that people believe speaking facts about role balance is an "us versus them" mentality. The game is survivor favored, they want it to be that way. End of story. Nothing about that is me opposing survivors. Some take it offense to it, but instead of pretending EVERYIONE is crazy, maybe we should just ignore the actual clowns and accept that it is what it is.

My main issue with boon totems is you can keep blessing totems. Should be a once or twice use. And you should only be allowed to bless dull totems.
I would be fine if there was a penalty. Like a 15% increase in time to bless each time it is deactivated so it has diminishing returns.
-
Yeah, with boons, the jig is up. I would be happy to never see another hex again and I am personally not going to use them anymore.
-
He is immortalized as a perk, or at least his death was. But for real, I want a wheelchair survivor. Real talk.
-
I use iron grasp, and agitation to drag them to the basement and wait, patiently with much tactics, yes. It is a gamble, 1k or 4k. You never know. The suspense kills me as I lurk in the shadows of that same corner that people always hide in.

People got over it? Or were they banned from the forums?
Ha ha ha... That actually made me laugh out loud. I suppose that is possible.
To be fair, everyone threw a fit over the removal of Pinhead's voiceline being removed. So perhaps you are correct. The lack of Hockey Mask probably would result in riots and a massive ban wave on the forums.
Let's be real, doesn't that make you want it even more?
-
Most survivor perks are meh, and yet, people still buy survivors. Boons are no exception, really. As long as she has cake, people will buy.

They already reviewed both killers in this patch. It's unlikely they are changing anytime soon.
Good point, they will probably just nerf a mid tier killer instead.

I gave up the eternal winning and started to rotate my perks as a killer as well as a survivor. A game has to be fun. If you only have the victory in mind, that's stupid in the long run. I only started the game because I thought the combination possibilities of the perks were cool at the time.
Wow, that is really interesting. When I started, I only wanted BBQ and Ruin because the rest of perks seemed pointless to me.
-
There is always next patch, don't worry! They might even get Blight during that time too.

"Huh? But we have the remake Freddy and OC Ghostface. I have never seen anyone complain about that except for myself."
Then you weren't around for their releases.
This is true, but that is almost my point. People clearly got over it and I believe I can speak on behalf of everyone that Rorschach Freddy and Assassin's Creed Ghostface are better than no Wes Craven characters at all.

K, you've been on these forums for long enough you know that people will take one look, not see the Hocky Mask, and along comes 50 threads of how they're uninstalling and all BHVR employees should be shot or something equally as awful.
Huh? But we have the remake Freddy and OC Ghostface. I have never seen anyone complain about that except for myself.
They could just use the Jason with a sack over his head, you know, the OG one?
-
It WAS. But on the next patch, you will be just showing the survivors to their boon totem spots. That perk went from underrated gem to throw pick REALLY fast.
-
This sounds hilarious. But who knows, maybe it is holding the game hostage because a killer did it. The survivors not going gens? Eh. Whatever.
-
To get the hit, I need to be facing the greediest survivors with the slowest reaction times that are for whatever reason committing to camping a pallet. It has only happened 3 times for me with m1.

I am glad I don’t have to do that again for a new charm.
and I think it’s cool to give people another chance to get it. I don’t know why people like exclusive stuff that’s impossible to get outside of a short period of time
It makes them feel special having something that someone else wants, but can't have. It is kind of pathetic.
-
It lowkey would be cool if they made it so Spirit could hit in her power. The dust would be a must though as they would need a better idea of where she was.

So turning him into a unicorn instead is better?
If the devs actually had some form of competency, they would have ######### up his 1v1 but would have given him some 1v4 in the form of a bounty system that the survivors must deal with or become exposed or something... Instead they took the laziest possible rout and just did some number tweaks while making him feel disgusting to play.
I legitimately felt sick playing him on the ptb and had to stop before i threw up. Something is terribly off with the change and it feels like a combination of the aim animation plus some perceived shadow nerfing with his ADS movement. I can spend an entire game ads in live and be fine but the ptb i can't.
The irony, they nerf his flow, and it makes you sick. They buffed Plague's flow? Probably still makes people feel sick though.
-
I genuinely never notice unless it is something blatant like a locker build, or that one that removes scratch marks after they vault or whatever. I still have fun even if they run full meta. I do not care. Run perks that YOU have fun with.

I prefer "Survive By Daylight."

I completely understand, which is why since the MMR went live, I've been hesitant to try killer, and absolutely cannot progress unless I use my mains. I'm not talking about "oh I tried nurse once and got stomped, throw controller time"; I mean I've truly been focusing and dedicating my killer time to, say, Huntress and Billy exclusively. But the people I'm getting matched with, despite my repeated bad matches, just seem to be going up in skill level, not down or equal.
I guess what I can glean from these replies is that my problem is trying something new for more than 1 match. My bad. 🙄
I believe they want to balance around 2 kills. So maybe your matches aren't actually considered bad by the system even if you feel like you are doing poorly?
-
They just want the counterplay to be more accessible. I do not agree with it, but I get it.

Believe it or not, that's been the trend for years now.
Dwight, Claudette, Feng, Meg, Nea and Felix are usually the ones to get nice skins or even a skin at all.
Zarina, Yui, Jane, Jeff, Adam and Jake never get anything. Especially Jake, who always gets the short end of the stick among the 4 originals.
I think it's because they're popular while the others are not. Sad as it may sound, we just have to deal with it in a capitalist society.
It shocks me that Yui is on the bad list. Like, I thought people loved her. At least more than Felix.
-
He is probably in my top 3 favorite killers. I love how he is more or less a ranged killer with the standard movement speed and the zombies add some personality to playing him. He has some 4v1 potential with the slowdown and vision which is a nice niche as most killers have garbage 4v1 besides the highly mobile or trash like Pig.
One of my favorite builds on m1 killers is enduring, fire up, and brutal strength. But Nemesis doesn't even need that build to Wreck It Ralph pallets. Plus the chase music is fire.

Anything that not M1 is a part of a Killer's kit.
Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean everything is the focus. He is correct. Reverse bear traps are the focus.

-
I definitely agree, it is the most overrated killer perk out there. I plan on using it on Freddy exclusively because I can just teleport to the gen I want to Pop and I need an excuse to teleport at high mmr.
-
It is chill, most people get a little overly dramatic on the forums because there are a lot of people really passionate about the game. You wouldn't complain if you didn't care which is why I am here instead of the Overwatch forums I have been a part of for 5 years. I do not care about that game anymore, to be honest.

and we are laughing at you....and the rest of the "I Quit" cult.
And I am laughing at you, and the people laughing at me, and the devs. I win based on how many parties I am laughing at. Ha ha. See? A laugh, I can prove it. Ha ha ha.

I was forcing a head pop and the victim DC'd. So whatever, it happens a lot, nothing strange there. I get a message about how this seemingly unrelated player says they recorded the match and will send it to "Behavior Headquarters" to get me banned for holding the game hostage. And then I got a similar message from someone else. Apparently it was the victim, but I didn't recognize the name for some reason. Lol.
I digress, the first person had "Ms" in their name, so I responded to the random with a, "yeah, yeah, your girlfriend already told me." And then this is gold, he/she says, "that is my mom, you sick [redacted]."
I have seen some weird stuff, bro. I have even been banned for threatening someone I didn't threaten, but this takes the cake.

I'd honestly rather die every match for the rest of eternity than use voice chat, and I don't care how much that screws my teammates.
Balancing around voice chat would screw every team of solos that gets a player like me. I mean, the devs could do it, I'm not saying they couldn't, that's their choice, but I wanted to make it known that I absolutely will damn everyone to a terrible death, I just... feel very uncomfortable talking to strangers.
Same. I am not the friendly type, if one person has something to say, I will escalate it. But since I am trying to be a better person, I will need to do what I started doing in Overwatch and abstain from the chat as a whole.
I am just saying it is the only way to actually put solo near swf. All the other ideas do not address the crux of the issue which is that they can communicate.

Just like I love the smell of the killers crying over something in the morning.
Boon totems are surely giving you the time of your life, in that case. You can almost taste the tears in this humid air.
-
Deathslinger is proof that you are full of it. He got nerfed way harder than Spirit, quite frankly. And they made him less unique to top it off. And less survivor mains are cheering about it.
They are likely telling the truth. It just didn't happen and it might still happen. Lol.
-
The game really needs voice chat to put solo on par with SWF and buff killers to compensate.

That face when I realize I am losing after my first down when no gens have popped. Oh dear, you found me out, legacycolt. I really only drag them to the basement and beat them on hook because I have self esteem issues from my loser mentality. I can only project my frustration on that innocent soul to feel SOMETHING.

I feel that if killers actually quit the role, maybe they would finally stop screwing it. But let's admit it, we aren't going anywhere. We know this to be true.
-
@Firellius said:
I think it's safe to say they shouldn't stack. It wouldn't harm them at all, as they would still gain benefit from additional copies via expanded coverage.
I think they should stack, as in, different perks in the future should stack with the current ones. The same perk stacking? Obviously not a good idea.

No matter how much experience you have... how are you supposed to predict spirit with no direcitonal audio? This isn't a noob survivor problem.
Game sense. As a newer Spirit, the survivors always knew where I was. Obviously with more experience, I could get a little more creative to make that more difficult for them, but this is objectively a noob survivor problem by definition.
-
Think about it, we need 4 survivors for every 1 killer and they have to voluntarily pick the role that is basically our bottom. They might be a power bottom, but they still have to play the role as our punching bag whose only recourse to fight back is risk hit validation screwing them when they go for a stun. Lol.
-
I think this community misunderstands the word counterplay and seems to be confusing it with hard counter or something.
Oh, no, I can't walk straight into a killer who is standing still! No counterplay! Ha ha ha...
I digress, they might as well bring the dust. Why not?

I think killers will be afraid to use hex perks now. Their spawn locations are already questionable, and if survivor are encouraged to bring more maps to bless/destroy totems it will just make it worse for those who enjoy hex perks.
I know I am. Scared, I mean. They were already risky but I genuinely thought the reward was worth it. If boon totems catch on, it just isn't worth the risk anymore.

People felt the need to bring both a green and yellow add on before to make his recovery feel decent. They baked the yellow into his basekit, then made both add ons together have less CD reduction than just the green did before. So if people still want his cooldown to feel the same level of worthwhile as before they still need both add ons and the result is worse.
If people beforehand had only been using the green add on every game alongside other stuff, then sure, but in essence they've changed nothing about him.
As someone who plays without add ons, the change is MASSIVE. Huge Ghostie buffs. YUGE!
