I mean, you can heal other people with your medkit, too. You know?
I still agree that unbreakable is better, however.

I feel like it is kind of weird we had 2 different blog posts and we STILL don't know what boon totems are. Like, bro...

Here we see a sour coinflip enjoyer, being sad their coinflip mechanics are getting changed to no longer be coinflips.
As long as his mechanics arent too clunky, nor too detrimental, they should fix his 1v4 to compensate.
What about Death Slinger is a coin flip? Like... For real. Whether he fires or not? Lol... DBD players, man. That 50/50 is NUTS!
-
I assume this is better for flashlights too. And I guess keys?
Toolboxes sucked anyways. For gens, at least. Sabo, though? Perhaps.
-
Dead Hard (or preferred exhaustion), Borrowed, Decisive Strike are the only must have perks, at the moment. So... Sure? Or maybe the new boon totem might become meta. But there is plenty of room in that one slot, rofl.

One thing that actually surprises me is how some people are celebrating this nerf like he was one of the best Killers in the game when data shows he has a 6% of overall use across all Killers in the game. I'm fully expecting this nerf to reduce that to less than 3%. He wasn't used, he wasn't overpowered and still got this very bad treatment.
But he got a speed boost!
Bloody hell, that's nothing on him unless they actually increase his mobility to that of a non-ranged Killer.
With my rant over, I think the tripwire would probably cause more complaints than he already has, but I agree in all other ideas you presented. I've been wanting to use some perks based in Terror Radius on him, but generally it didn't seem they'd be feasible since he does need the stealth factor to be functional.
I will still give a try to the PTB and provide as much useful feedback in hopes they reconsider some of these changes. I do have a strong feeling it's going to be a rough few hours of gameplay whatsoever.
Any killer that denies a survivor options is considered oppressive by their standards. Even Nemesis despite all the free health states he hands out like candy. Albeit, I feel Nemesis is top tier contrary to most people. But you know, that is not the point. The point is I could say, "survivors would hate a ranged attack even if it did no damage and gave them a speed boost just because vaulting wouldn't be as safe" and it wouldn't be a joke. It would be reality.

Thank you. No one seems to realize increasing gen speeds will buff camping and tunneling.
Tunneling? Sure. Camping? Eh. I guess technically... But like, nothing worth mentioning, really.

How do obese killers outrun young, healthy people? And usually, you get slower the longer you're in the chase, not faster. The game lacks a lot of realism lol
Clearly Clown took a hit of that vape before the game started.

SWF is the reason we can't have nice things, or a balanced game. When we are allowed to have nice things SWF usually breaks it.
It is not SWF so much as their unwillingness to add voice chat and buff killers to compensate.
-
The 4 already placed are independent of the default 4?
-
True is basically the only one I know will not derank in his free time, I have seen some sus "high mmr" matches from others.
I have never seen Otz or Dowsey stream, but I am sure they are clean too.
-
I absolutely agree. Not sure if it counts dc's as kills, or treats 1 hooks the same as 3 on a meathook... But it does seem to inflate at a disproportionate rate.

Dear lord, insane how people still think BHVR only cares for one side.
And because BHVR is so survivor sided, they buffed Trapper and Plague, right? And that's also why they nerfed keys into the ground, right?
Not to mention all the other good changes that killers have gotten in the past.
They do not only care for one side, but they have an extremely blatant survivor bias. Like, nerfjng keys into the ground is not good. Proper balance would be better than appeasement.

No... Just no. Boon Totems nerfed it enough. Lets wait and see how that goes before calling for more.

It’s all good brother. I’m still a little sad that the stagger reduction from balanced landing was removed or how enduring doesn’t work against DS anymore but it gets better in time.
Enduring used to work on DS? Man... I missed out.
-
If anyone thinks they didn't gut Slinger... They probably have a lot of interesting opinions that would make you want to face palm. That is all I am going to say. Rofl.
-
Was it gone? Because I got the achievement to chain 3 blinks and grab someone, but I do not play with add ons. I thought a hacker gave it to me because, well, he was hacking in that lobby. Is the description just outdated and you only need 2 blinks for the achievement?
-
Are more perks getting changed? I thought part 2 was it. Albeit, this seems like an oversight on their part.

Aura reading. That's what most of the key add-ons are for. Also if you bring a key and you are the last survivor and the killer closes the hatch, you'll be able to re-open it. It might just save you.
You do not get aura reading from chest keys unless you bring the Ace perk, though. So it is as close to useless as anything in this game is, if you ask me.

He doesn't have anything besides that "op" chase. No second ability, no map pressure and no mobility. If you want to nerf a killers only strength at least give them something in return.
Pig deserves every nerf she gets.
What? I agree with what you said, but like, apply it to Pig. Ya dig?

Oh, nice. That does give me some hope for Cheryl! Thanks.

I do not like how they took his unique terror radius and made him basic. Variety is the spice of life, and Behavior loves life with all the survivor favorites... So give us some spice.

There are rumours that we are getting new Silent Hill content in the next set of cosmetics! We might get voices for those characters then
If not, I'm sure eventually they will. Johnathan got one and Stranger Things is leaving in November
Did Johnny Boy get a new voice recently? I am newer, so I just figured he always had it. Not that I could tell, I never see that character... I have only seen it like twice since the Stranger Things announcement.

There's not much of a point to Mori's either. Just a different animation.
This was pretty much the exact change I suggested.
I guess it is technically a fair trade off. But at the same time, it feels sad they watered down unique mechanics just because they were oppressive. Like, surely there is a middle ground between op and useless...
-
Unless the post was a typo, I think they went WAY too far and it doesn't even make sense. Why do you even need a key if it only spawns once one survivor is left? Doesn't it just open?
Unless they meant 2 survivors. Even then, yeah, these changes were nice. Kind of feel like all the other killer nerfs weren't worth it, though. I would rather have the busted key and hatch interactions.

The killer can remove the blessing, but the totem would return to a dull totem then.
Bear in mind that blessing a totem is the same length of time, or possibly longer, than cleansing a totem - so if a survivor has had time to Bless that Hex totem, if they didn't bless it, they would have cleansed it anyway.
How does this work with Haunted? Does the expose still go off, or is the perk essentially useless if they bless it?
-
I love how the developer is like, "um, that is not how you rush gens, the optimal play would be to get on a gen..."

Yeah, they kind of gutted him with very little compensation. I am sad I never got to abuse monitor and abuse. My Slinger is only level 34 because I do not want his teachable in the pool and he already has ruin and BBQ maxed. Lol.

So you think covering your mistake by camping means you achieved something? Oh plss and a fat cat will catch a mouse if he ain't moving same thing about camping it's a cheap move keep trying if u lose it's ur fault ur mistakes has consequences and you can either own up to them and keep trying or you can stand still and play starring contest and see who blinks first
I have never lost a staring contest with a survivor on Leatherface. Something about the dead skin mask just seems to put them on edge.
-
My solution wouldn't help save that much time, but I believe we need a surrender option at 10 minutes. That way, you can still keep your bloodpoints and leave without an escalating penalty.
That would be ideal for the higher rated players who run into cheaters more frequently, at least. It would also solve the hatch stand off problem too.

And where would u go on open maps? U can trick survivors in closed map, but i doubt it will work on open ones.
It depends on the map, and the gen locations, and where I spawned. I trust myself more than I trust their spawn system though. At the very least we could avoid the meme images from above.
The real concern, in my opinion, would be setting it around a 3 gen. It would be way more powerful than intended, probably. Like, imagine a tight 3 gen with your ruin right there, and you run iron grasp/agitation to keep someone hooked nearby. It would be pretty bonkers on a killer like Bubba.
-
How could you forget Bloodwarden? The master of all end game builds?
But yeah, that seems to be the actual meta. People are still used to the old ways.
-
You have to admit, those eyebrows were about to spread out and take flight. They almost had to tone them down without the stylistic art to mask how limitless those eyebrows truly are.

Even if killers were given a chance to put their totem in any location it seems like it would not work well. Killers always say they don't have time to do things but having to find the best totem spot would surely waste a lot if time since you aren't given the location of dull totems. And if you are given the location of the totem level it still wouldn't work. It's still being left up to rng since you have no control over where the best dull totem spot will be at, also if a survivor notices you putting down your hex totems then it makes all the effort you went to to hide the spot wasted since they will know the location. So having killers Pic the spot seems like a big time waste.
To be fair, they could just make dull totems a different aura. I run a shaman build on my Plague because I leveled her to 34 and somehow got Haunted, Ruin, and Undying on her. Best stuff I have. When I spawn in, I can more or less see every totem spot but one. Obviously if I got another hex, I could run that instead of corrupt and see all 5 at the start.
If I were allowed to walk to the "best" spawn, Ruin would definitely last longer than 15 seconds. And placing it safely could become a skill. Like, if survivors Ruin check, see nothing, and Ruin activates, one of them saw me around the Library in RPD... Well, they got me!
It would be a nice buff to stealth killers and buff some perks like Whispers. Idk. At least if they cleanse fast I have myself to blame. I prefer that.

Different people are at different maturity levels. Not everyone is going to be you.
Likewise, the game is BUILT that way. This stuff affects you on a subconscious level and a lot of people can't help that reaction.
I was just watching a streamer who said they didn't want to swing at someone because they were afraid they would get embarrassed if they jumped into a locker to dodge it.
Not to mention all of the moral outrage over face camping. I watch a lot of REALLY good killer players and most of them seem literally afraid to properly secure hook states even though they intrinsically understand they need to stay in the area to apply pressure optimally.
They would probably never admit it, but quite clearly they are concerned about what people would think and play poorly as a response to avoid that critique.

Could we at least wait til after the dev update?
Maybe with the introduction of Boon Totems the Hex totems will get an appropriate change so the killers and survs can fight for the dull totems.
not saying this will likely happen but it is possible, and they have said the dev update will have plenty of news,.
We might get the news today, actually, correct? Or am I thinking of a different game that has an announcement for Monday? Lol.

Okay why does Survivor get to pick their totem spots for their Boon Totems then if its supposed to be random?
That is actually a good point. It should probably just bless a random totem.
-
If I am a God that can 4k on a whim and they do not see pallets, low mmr.
If I struggle to get 2 kills while tunneling, camping, and slugging because gens are flying so fast and my ruin gets cleansed in the first minute every game, and people actually run to strong loops instead of wherever while body blocking without being swf. I suspect that is high mmr.
Do I know for a fact? No. But when survivors are extremely difficult to catch and efficient, more so than typical red rank games of the past system, I kind of think they are... a cut above the rest. Oh, and the longer queue times compared to instant queues.
I am just playing for BBQ stacks on my low mmr killers and sweating my soul off playing Freddy who I try my best on with a tricked out build. The disparity is so massive that I cannot even think of a word to describe the astronomical difference.

I've actually had a decrease in flashlight flicker spammers. Or maybe I don't pay attention that well to notice any flickering.
But from the survivor side I do sometimes flashlight flicker if I'm carrying one in certain situations. Not to be toxic to the killer — though it probably seems that way to them. If I'm in a chase and I run past someone I'll give my flashlights a few clicks behind me to warn them that I'm being chased and where they're coming from to try and avoid sandbagging.
Same. I click, not to be toxic, but because I love clicking. If there were a replay function, you would see me doing it all the time, not just when killers are around. Ha ha ha.

This definetely needs to get fixed, but at least his main power works and isn't bugged or inconsistent like Nurses or Blight power.
Oh, yeah, definitely. I do not think it is a huge deal, it is just the principle of the matter. Nemesis is one of my most played and honestly cleaning them up feels like part of the natural gameplay loop now.

What is wrong with my eyes. It literally took me like 10 seconds to find the totem lmao
Don't worry, people can drop chase with me on the swamp map by just crouching in the tall grass. My eyes are THAT bad. Luckily most survivors assume I can see and don't try it, but when they (usually Claudette) find out my dark secret... I have no chance.
-
To be fair, there is always a chance. Saw a clip of some streamer who couldn't see or hear the totem by a gen he was doing, and then he had a fit about how bad the killer sucked because he killed them all after 2 hooking them. The survivors 3 genned themselves and couldn't find the totem for several minutes despite his claims that it was one of the obvious spawns.
Weird stuff, bruh.
