'Balancing them properly', by this forum's standards, would have them injure survivors and slow them down as opposed to helping them.
To be fair, even if it injured them, they could just heal up with the boon. Instant value.
-
Indeed. I have so many action packed clips of me face camping survivors. Wish I could relive those moments.
-
My origin story as a child of light. Basically, someone was following me as I downed someone near a wall. I hit them to chase them off, and faced the wall to pick up suspecting they just left, and in case they didn't, I wanted to rush so they couldn't get in position. But it was fine, because I was facing a FREAKING wall. I see the light coming at me from 90 degrees, a little behind, even. I rotate my camera the exact opposite direction and hold it waiting to dodge the light once my fov lock ended.
Nope. Still got flashed. I just went into a corner and let them have fun doing gens. Opened the gates myself first possible second and returned to my phone. We all probably deranked from that one as it was my first chase of the match and I only interacted with those two. It was the only time I ever rage quit this game. And basically one of the only times I have ever rage quit a game. There was like one other time in 5 years of Overwatch.
After that, I leveled Hillbilly and put the perk on every killer I play if they bring one flashlight.
If they find one in a box and blind me, I will tunnel, camp, slug, whatever, to end them. I do not mind throwing the entire game to do it.

If he wasn't before, this upcoming patch will set that argument in stone.
Eh, I still think Trapper and Pig are worse.

I purposefully ignore the toxic clciky clickies and find their weak link teammates. They get frustrated because you are not giving them the attention they want, tunnel their teammates and watch them not do any gennies while tryna save their little friend. Then it falls apart for them slowly :)
Pretty much. When I was first learning and still wanted BBQ stacks, I would use their lower skilled friends as bait to give me free hooks. It worked on all but the most selfish players.
-
Bro, it is so funny you asked this. I always felt like Claudettes were a bit sus, but I am going for her mask with Leatherface. I literally lobby shop for them. And on this journey, I realized Claudettes are easily my least favorite survivor. They are really nasty pieces of work...
As for killer? Nemesis. Infamous tunnelers, you know?

Everyone turns into LowTierGod when they play this game
No, they are not nearly as entertaining.
-
I prefer the older system. I never got hit under pallets as survivor because I didn't risk camping a pallet. I got trades all the time from survivors who messed up. Now? Well, whatever. I play Nemesis. I am used to needing 3 hits to down someone.
-
I really think a realm should count as a "map" and then independently roll the variation after it is decided. I am tired of over half my games being Macmillian and Autohaven.
-
I guess it depends on your definition of active. But yeah, as far as I know, the game is growing. Jason is arguably the biggest horror icon. So, it wouldn't surprise me to have a lot of returning and new players inflate the playerbase if and when he comes.
-
I would watch a Trickster anime. Plus Yun Jin could official earn the title of waifu. This is a win-win.
-
As someone who plays Pig, I am just against gen activation and wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

On a serious note, the reason I personally don't play Bill as often is that he's not David and that I absolutely have to run Iron Will if I'm playing the old man, which kind of sucks.
Who coughs louder, in your experience? Bill or Clown?

Wait, let me get this straight... What did you want to happen, again? I am not quite following.

They just want the altruism points, cuh. Dem bloodpoints be lit. For real.

Happened to me a few times. Whenever I get hit from somewhere I just hold W and the killer is confused since I got downed across the map and can't find my body lol. My body probably teleported on his screen.
As a killer, yeah, basically the body teleports. It even does that when a zombie is the one who gets the down, believe it or not.
-
To be fair, even the quadruple second chance build wouldn't save you from those teammates. You need Jesus for that.

Yeah, I was only joking. I thought it would be for both too. Luckily for me, I play killer almost exclusively. So... GG EZ Dwightcrow.

if bhvr wanted to they could.
will they? no, as per the eula. which is where you signed away your right to directly request a refund.
I mean, if I wanted to, I could get a refund. There are ways, ways that many video game companies would deem... Unnatural. It would probably just result in the termination of my account. But I didn't sign any rights to a refund away. They like to think I did, though. I will give you that.

If a survivor is in the process of dying, than that’s not holding the game hostage. I hope this is a bait.
You hope the survivor is bait? What difference does that make? 2 undeserved kills over one? It has never been easier to play killer, my word!

this is a live service game. they can change what they want, how they want, when they want, and you signed away your right to request a refund from bhvr directly as soon as you signed the eula. im sorry.
In other words, if they wanted, they could refund my shards so I can buy a stronger killer... Like Clown?

I actually wanna know the people that seriously voted up this thread.
Hello, Nathan. I gave this thread a thumbs up because it is so true. Killers just camp and tunnel. It ruins the game for survivors. I wish more killers would walk away and let us go. Like, go camp a generator for a change? The hook is not your objective, no need to hold the game hostage!

Just one of the many reasons people hate playing against Twins.

We asked for a max of 20 secs, they did 24 instead but still gutted the add-ons in more than 50% and didn't made any change to the useless add-ons.... Fastest recovery possible is now lower than what it used to be. And the bigger issue is You're still gonna be waiting for those 24 seconds as manny times as you were waiting for the 30 because the Reveal Mechanic is a complete joke.
After so much time what GF gets is nerfed add-ons in more than 50% and a measely 20 % increase to base and no other changes... Should i be happy with a NET NERF ABOVE 30%!? After 3 years!?
I played without add ons. So rip to you, but I am different.
Also glad I dodged the Pig nerf that all the clowns were calling a buff because, I have no clue why. I really don't. Survivor mains in disguise tired of getting their jaw ripped open, I suppose.
-
If they are going to change Boon Totems, I would say the reactions were objectively warranted by your own definition.
And the Slinger nerfs were unjustified. I do not care what you have to say. That isn't a killer vs survivor issue. They just nerfed him excessively. As they nerfed keys and hatch excessively. Dem be facts, bra.
-
Legacy skins aren't even exclusive to old school players, I have seen plenty of hackers with them! So much for being unique and special little dumplings.
-
One of these killers was strong with a commonly used add on. The other was weak with a rarely used add on. That is why.
-
It is kind of weird because you are making snares a chase ability, so he doesn't really need more of them or status effects upon a teleport that starts a chase, imo.
I do like the block actions thing, though. Wouldn't mind less snares for that ability. Even if they made setting them take longer and gave you less of them.

Nah them being reusable is cool. What is not cool is that you can override Hex totems.
If that was not possible you could run Plaything (or future perks with a similar mechanic) to slowly drain the available totems from the Survivors. That would make for interesting gameplay, you want to hook everyone once as soon as possible to convert regular totems into unblessable Hex totems and Survivors want to prevent that.
That can create interesting situations where for example a Survivor who was already hooked once lets themselves be downed while the Killer is carrying someone who wasn't hooked before to stop another Plaything from popping up and thus removing a Boon target.
This guy gets it. I have no clue why they decided to make one of the better recent perks such a troll pick. Like, why would I want to lead survivors straight to their boon spawns? And people who love Shaman builds? Useless. The counterplay to boons should be hexes. It makes no sense that boons counter hexes while offering benefits beyond what any hex was ever capable of.

I sometimes wonder, had people, who say slinger is unfun in chases, ever played against good Nurse, or Blight, or Pphead. Are they fun? The way you play against these killers is by making unpredictable moves to confuse them and make them fail. Slinger works the same. The projectile is not a hit-scan, so it's very possible to predict when he's gonna shoot. I've done it myself and had seen people do it against me. Of course you wont be able to dodge every shot, otherwise his power would be useless(kinda like in ptb). I guess people just parrot the streamerman's opinion, who decided that slinger is THE UNFUN killer. And you can't stick the skill argument to him because slinger player does need skill to perform well. I've seen people suggesting that slinger should become 115 killer. They really want him to be a bland m1 bayonet man that can shoot sometimes. Devs seem determined to kill him, so let it be. -1 killer in the roster.
Honestly, I have no clue why anyone would play him over Pyramid Head unless they were into the cowboy theme. I truly don't.

Who exactly was buffed other than Michael Myers and Trapper? Who are still going to be low tier btw.
Pig got overall nerfed, removed her best addons and replaced it with a meme addon.
Deathslinger got heavy nerfed.
Spirit was nerfed but wasn't nearly as heavy as Deathslinger so it won't be changing up any killer meta...You are still only going to see Nurse, Spirit and Blight at higher MMR.
Wraith got nerfed, lol.
Unless I'm missing something it was overall mostly nerfs to killers
Keys should of been nerfed a year ago with Mori's so I don't know how you can be "happy" about something they should of did forever ago. it wasn't like it was a hard change, they just didn't do it for whatever reason.
Also these "boon warriors" will still be doing gens. The people who actually know how to use the heal boons are going to set them up nearby gens and not at them, rush the gens, run away to the boons once you drop chase, heal and go right back to the gen. If anything it's going to help them rush you especially if they are stupid and 3 gen themselves.
Plague got YUGE buffs. She is a regurgitating goddess.
Ghostface got buffed for all us add-on-less homies. Nerfed for everyone else though.

I feel like you will not like them spending 14sec on Gen either. So what they should do with that 14sec?
Hide in a locker? Lockers are very comfortable and safe locations where survivors can be themselves, for just a little bit. 14 seconds? 1 minute? The entire match? I think you would be hard pressed to find a killer complaining about that!
-
How do you know that they can see? What proof do you have? Clearly it is a group of 4 blind friends that use their enhanced hearing to chase people...

They do but not nearly as much as you think, it just seems that way.
There are plenty of people who are really upset with these changes.
I don't even main killer and these changes are just garbage. I don't know why survivors would like these changes, the game is already too damn easy as survivor, even solo que survivor is easy especially thanks to MMR.
As a survivor that couldn't survive my way out of a paper bag, boon totems have potential to help me, at least. I want super self care and no scratch marks... With these, maybe, just maybe, I might last longer than I do in bed.

Yeah, I would say the same. Nemesis is fine, but the Zombie-AI needs some Tuning. They can be pretty annoying as Survivor, but it should not happen that a Zombie spawns and gets stuck on the Rock for the next minute.
That Midwich spot is really starting to tick me off. At certain angles, you have to drop to kill it. I am fine with fixing the zombies, but this one in particular feels like I have to REALLY go out of the way. And it is always the male one. What a loser, never knowing the strength of girl boss...

What are all these second chance perks exactly? Dead Hard? Okay that's one... BT? Don't tunnel. DS? Don't tunnel. Unbreakable? Meh, if a survivor get's slugged someone can just pick them up anyway. I rarely see Unbreakable and I don't run it myself.
Also you run NOED don't you? 🤗
No. NOED is a hex and I am allergic to every hex outside of the Hex Girls. I would let them put a spell on me.
-
Behavior thought it was a good idea. You're welcome for the answer, I had to dig deep through years of research for that one.

Nemesis technically got that tier 3 buff. It is better than you think it is. Trust. I am very experienced with tentacles...

this post is intentionally a bit sarcastic but im actually serious. It just doesnt sit right with me, that i have to "cleanse" totems as a killer. I know it sounds biased, but I actually enjoy playing killer and survivor. Such a change in gameplay is to drastic imo.
Luckily for me, doing totems is the fun part of survivor. So, bringing that to killer actually excites me a bit. I am IMMUNE!
-
I would do bones if I could. But you kind of blow it out temporarily instead of destroying the bone. So, you will end up doing more bones than any individual survivor ever did.
That argument is as bad as it is petty. Just like a survivor main. Ayy, I kid, I kid. Just joking. You know I love survivors.

Sorry! I thought i am a killer. I`ll make sure to be nice and help you escape during your next trials. I mustve read the tutorial wrong, i thought i have to try to kill you. My bad, im really really sorry!
It is fine, happens to the best of us. Apology accepted.
-
For solo queue, I get why survivors prefer to have 4 second chances. As usual, the real problem is more when swf stack that many get out of jail free cards. But whatever, if I want to avoid that, I can just tunnel and camp. Lol.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Killers complain about Survivors running the same Perks (mostly Second Chance-Perks).
BHVR might have created Perks which might be decend and might be used (I believe this when I see it).
And Killers are not happy, despite the possibility that there will be less Second Chance-Perks. Shows once again, Killers dont want Survivors to have strong Perks.
I do not mind survivors having strong perks. But the scratch marks one really bothers me as someone bad at tracking survivors. I rely HEAVILY on scratch marks to tell where they went.
Luckily it is not seen as super strong, so hopefully they lay off after the first week.
I am more frustrated that my new favorite perk, Plaything, just became a troll pick. Worse than No Mither, assuming boons become meta.

@SpaghettiYOLO said:
The most efficient combo on Freddy is Pop/Thrilling Tremors/Tinkerer. The synergy with his ability is too good. Say you down someone in chase. A Tinkerer noti has gone off or did short before the downing. Mind game a teleport to Tinkerer gen, pick up survivor. 90% of the time. Tinkerer gen is now blocked by Thrilling. Hook survivor, teleport to said gen, Pop it, get right back on the hunt.
4th perk slot is pretty much whatever you want it to be. Surge has been sitting in that spot lately though for me.
That idea sounds sick. I will probably do that. I guess add in corrupt for the proper overkill experience.

@Tricksters_Wife said:
I guess I'll take the bait :^)
I think we all know that not all killers camp/tunnel. If the killer however does decide to do so then it's their decision.
But as survivor, while annoying, it's entirely possible to counter face camping and tunneling. Even if you're playing solo. It just takes some extra work. Sometimes it's even fun and exciting to counter camping.
The amount of times me and my SWF sound like we're playing CoD with all of our call outs, yelling, and game planning is actually quite funny. Then if we all manage to escape it sounds like a football party as we all cheer.
Yes, please come and counter my face camping. Everyone. With the power of three survivors, anything is possible. If you run in different direction, I will only be able to down like 2 of you! That makes me lose out on a lot of pressure.
-
I do not understand why you are complaining about multiple Leatherface and then go on to say there are only 3 killers in the game. None of which are as sexy as the pretty woman himself.
-
I kind of like the idea, but I feel it would be better to buff the perks because you more or less need regression if you want the game to last longer than 5 minutes against competent survivors. Maybe they should make one perk slot a "Regression" slot and one an "Exhaustion" slot just to be consistent. You cannot pick more than one, but you are not forced to pick one. That would probably be easier to balance.
-
Hex are just a lost cause with Boon Totems. Any improvements would be pointless.
-

The truth is there is no game like DBD except for DBD.
