  • I deserve to know if they have a flashlight so I can run my homie lightborn. If they ever change this, I am hard face camping and tunneling anyone who brought one. It is better for the both of us to just let me see if they like the clicky clicks...

  • My games got harder as a survivor even though I suck at them. For whatever reason, the game really values whatever I do as a survivor even though my chases are like 10 seconds average. Rofl.

Compare that to killer where I was rank 8 playing nice, and all of a sudden games are WAY too easy. I have to slug just to give them time to escape now...

MMR is working well for me, at least in terms of killers. Teammates are still kinda crappy, but the killers are definitely on my level.

In my experience with plenty of competitive, mmr will never save you from garbage teammates. They usually "balance" matches by putting a carry with deadweight. So it becomes a game of whose carry is better, or which deadweight throws less. Rofl.

  • Genderbent Pinhead or I riot.

There's almost no hype going for him though. It's mostly just people upset about missing out on Springtrap, which is understandable. Power is going to be boring, no innate potential=just put some variation of ranged crap in dbd devs mind(ph, nemesis). Hopefully they're not starting a trend of adding miltiple third-rate horror "icons" in a row and do some fun original killers in between to offer some meaningful mechanics exploration and learning, like Blight, becouse this game is really starting to feel stagnating in terms of gameplay.

His powers are basically all he has going for him though. That is the exciting part. I get people don't like ranged killers, but it should be cool, at least. There is definitely a world where a ranged killer could have meaningful mechanics that require exploration and learning. We shall see, I suppose.

  • I wish they just fixed hatch. Keys are whatever, the hatch mechanic is just so insanely exploitable.

  • Eh...I only care about Pinhead. I was never huge into the series, so I don't even remember the other ones. I didn't even remember they were called Cenobites.

I would be down for a female one as our only licensed killer is Amanda. And I highly doubt we will get much more. It would almost NEED to be a skin in a situation like this.

  • Same reason 2 survivors can hide in lockers and leave to slightly shift around a tiny bit once the terror radius leaves to wait for someone to give up and break a stalemate. Poor design and a lack of care to fix it.

  • You have clearly never played killer. If you camp and tunnel, you get way more suffering before they die. You don't even get post game messages when you cycle survivors to get everyone hook state 2 before going for a kill. You get someone out of the game in less than a minute? Wait until you see the sweet nectar they provide to the entity. The game has it wrong, I am much better at torturing them. This is why the entity contracts us to do the work for it, clueless suit has no idea how this business actually works.

  • This is all just a red herring which clearly makes the killer Red Herring from a Pup Named Scooby Doo.

  • The point is to better hear people not running iron will. But if half the lobby is running iron will, obviously it is not a smart perk to bring.

  • Lower mmr means you will face lower mmr killers. You will be more likely to be matched up with people like me who go for hooks and don't face camp, tunnel, or slug. I am the equivalent of a survivor who was just messing around. The tryhard survivors who play more efficiently are the ones who are about to face the sweaty killers who act like the entity will kill them if they don't 4k. That is almost the whole point. Get us in like minded lobbies. Beginners with beginners. 3k hours with 3k hours.

  • Generally speaking, better matchmaking is always a step in the right direction.

Okay, let's imagine a game where you completely stomp all the survivors and afterward you see they were all Brown ranks.

Now, imagine another game where you stomp them and they are a mix of green and purple.

Finally, the last game you play, you do terrible and everyone escapes. You look and it's a mix of yellow and green.

What information would you have missed other than how long someone has played?

I once had a game where a survivor was basically impossible for me to catch and used literally every pallet on the map, whereas the other 3 didn't do much, one was literally just hiding at the end when exit gates were on the other side of the map. After the game, I found out it was a rank one with three rank twenty players. It made a lot of sense and explained a lot. At that point, I was used to a lot of low red rank, purple, and high green ranks. So to have such a jarring match so easily explained by ranks left me less confused than I otherwise would have been, I suppose.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. I have caught rank 1s easily and been disgraced by rank 16 players that hard carry their team. So it doesn't matter, but it does give me an idea of what I was dealing with as a whole rather than just "avoid that David. He will run me for 5 gens" or "make sure not to hook that poor Bill a 3rd time by accident."

I have 100% achievements in under 3000 hours, so I'd disagree

You would disagree that they don't come from natural gameplay? You are entitled to that wrong opinion, I suppose.

  • No, tentacle does not count sadly, found that out while doing his daily with that mission equipped.

  • You could try indicating a farm or just toss the bottles from a safe distance once they go to twerk on the exit gates.

How to actually set it up? I assume you need to find a jungle gym, infect them, and chase them into your antidote slowly. Lol.

  • Walk in front of me, I will gladly stab you. I am not about to search some weird outskirt gen for you, fam. Have fun repairing it or whatever.

  • @PalletsAndHooks said:

How have you not gathered all the adepts at this point? 1300 hours?

You need to equip the perks and go for it... It isn't really something that comes from natural gameplay. You could play 13,000 hours and not have all of them pretty easily.

Now if they spent all 1300 hours going for them, yeah, I guess that would be kind of sad. I highly doubt that, though.

  • NOED is for when I have a challenge that requires a sacrifice and I want it done first try or in the fewest games possible. And it works quite well. Very easy kills.

  • I kind of have fun because pelting them with knives is satisfying, but like, yeah, he isn't exactly meta defining.

  • I wouldn't mind a slight decrease to his power cooldown. 25 seconds would be better than 30 and still retain value for his add ons if they care about that.

I mean survivors used to get hit through pallets all the time, and windows. So I guess the shoe is on the other foot now.

For me, it used to be a trade. If a survivor wanted to risk a down just to stun me, that was on them. As a survivor, I never ran into this issue as I just kept creating distance.

  • People are surprised a survivor favored game made a change that favors a survivor? Lol.

  • I am actually getting relatively close to all my killers having all perks and have no idea what to pour excessive bloodpoints into besides new characters as they come.

  • @Bwsted said:

The best part is the bloodhunt is shortly after the mid-chapter. Tricksters are gonna be everywhere. I suggest not touching survivor gameplay for a while rofl.

Oh, baby, all my cakes on the Trick are ready for that bloodhunt. I have actually been holding off on playing him just in anticipation for this buff.

  • This post is old, but the question was answered in the OP. SWF is where I find most good survivors. Even solo rank 1s cannot do much of you snowball off the potatoes.

  • Maybe that Resident Evil pack was worth the money for the survivors after all...

  • Tighten the fence area so you can hit over the fence all the time. Pog.

  • As long as you don't mind games where it gets cleansed early. I do not run it myself and those games are not as common as people make them out to be, but obviously it kind of depends on the map, and naturally, the spawn.

As long as it is up for around half the match, it did its job, if you ask me. Especially if you are also running tinkerer and discordance. I run a more committed surveillance and still think ruin alone is fine.

  • I guess he didn't want to take the chance that one would get hatch. I dislike the pity door as much as any other killer, but I still just let the last one take it if rngesus has bless them.

  • At 1500 hours, I feel like it is burnout more than the game actually being a huge problem. I get it, I truly do. I have over 2000 on Overwatch and the smallest things piss me off and we are only just realizing why in 5 years we got so little content via that Blizzard-Activision v California lawsuit. It is disgusting and even trying to play it for an hour to grind the event skins every week of an event just puts me in a foul mood. That is actually why I came here. And I love it. I can definitely see a lot of the flaws you are talking about already. But they do not aggravate me and it is because I am fresh to the experience. After a couple hundred hours, surely I would be frustrated too.

Sadly, the developers aren't likely to change. And even sadder is they might be going through similar stuff as Blizzard and that is why nothing ever gets addressed. The only thing you can do is make sure you are having fun. If that means finding something else, I highly recommend it. It worked for me at least.

  • Wow, there are actually a lot I would like to see which is weird because I only play Bill and Nancy in game because the others are kind of whatever. To be fair, I would play Jill too, but 5 dollars for Nancy was already asking a lot out of me. I had to pick and Jill is her nasty design, so the choice wasn't exactly difficult. Anyways, because I already rambled... I ain't going to list of like a dozen characters. Instead, I will just say, "Like, give me Shaggy, ha ha."

  • All offerings are worthless to me.

    It'd be a ######### horror game that's for sure.

Just for the Survivors this time, not the Killers.

I feel like first person horror has been doing a lot better than third person horror of old. More immersive.

  • Eh, I rarely like to just randomly scream "hacker," but there are all sorts of weird cheats in this game. Then again, there are also some pretty extensive bugs.

  • Survivors know what goes down once they bring a key, only a few percent are thug enough to try it. And then half of them cry after killers play around the key.

  • Freddy. He is extremely strong without a high skill curve. He still teaches m1 fundamentals, but you are never completely denied a hit at basic loops thanks to his snares. He has map pressure which a lot of killers lack. I just started recently and he was definitely the best of both.

As I get better at the game, I do start to feel that Demogorgon allows you to do very similar things, he just holds your hand less.

Pyramid head: chrome dome, penis head

    Deathslinger: Resident Slinger, Cock slinger

    Wraith: Bing Bong

    Blight: Pinball Wizard

ones i can think of off the top of my head

With all the phallic nicknames, I am surprised you use bing bong over ding dong.

  • Gen regression is just way easier to run. I feel like most chase perks are weak. I would use them if they release more consistent ones.

  • I have seen a lot of people call it a killer map, presumably because it is indoor. But, yeah, this is the only map where I feel like I am not a rank 20 survivor. As killer, it is also the only map that I have ever given up on and also the only one where I farmed despite no DC. I have a very strong opinion that it is absolutely survivor sided. No doubts in my mind. It is actually the reason I realized that other people's opinions on maps need to be taken with a grain of salt and a shot of vodka.

  • You should camp hook at EGC. If they are altruistic (they always are) you might get another one. If you use Blood Warden, by all means, get the free 4k. Otherwise, stare into their soon to be lifeless eyes.

  • As a baby killer... No, I just go find someone else. If all survivors are hard to catch, I likely lost in like 5 minutes anyways. So, you know, I can just go and break some walls or something as I wait for the last gen to pop. Lol.

  • But why? Those perks are my go to for a reason, I gain nothing by putting on useless perks instead.

  • @Volcz said:

Ignore all the red rank killer mains who got butthurt about your post/thread and tried to condescend on to you.

'Talk when you're in red ranks kid'

    OR, MAYBE

    Its just easy.

The game is really simple and kind of lacks depth. It doesn't surprise me too much that people would equate that to being easy. Especially if you already grinded one side out. That being said, I still vaguely have the "so what, exactly" question. Like... If that is a problem to the OP, he doesn't need to play Killer. Or DBD. I do not really see the point.

  • The beginning of the game is more important than knowing whether someone is skulking around dozens of meters away.

  • @DangerScouse said:

Killer is *not* holding the game hostage. 1 survivor on the gen, the other one, just don't struggle on pick up.

If 1 of the survivors is always on a gen they would have gotten them done.

Totally rude from the killer. But anyone who says it's holding the game hostage is wrong.

You still bleed out if the killer is carrying you?

  • Yeah, I kind of like the system in DBD. Usually these Battlepass systems I just ignore, but I grinded the last one out despite starting super late. I do not even own Plague or Kate, but decided to just spend the 10 dollars for the future when I get them, and obviously that 10 will go towards this Clown one, I do not own him either, and doubt I will own the survivor unless it is Nancy, rofl.

Either way, I love the sense of progression. Especially because this game doesn't record hours. So, you know, besides your account level, this is all I have, pretty much.

  • @HollowsGrief said:

Stretched Rez is cheating because 95% of the time it is used to give yourself a higher FOV which you aren't meant to have, this allows you to see beyond some walls and tiles you aren't suppose to and eliminates the killer's ability to mind game you, since you always see where they are coming from. It is cheating and don't let anyone who tells you they use it "cause it looks nice" that is a load of crap, people use stretched rez because it makes it impossible to lose a mind game.

All that being said I do believe the base killer FOV is terrible and needs a major update.

And it looks like trash, who do they think they are fooling? It looks nice? Rofl...

I mean, I could care less. I play on console, so whatever. But I have seen stretched resolution gameplay and it is nothing short of vomit inducing.

  • @Customapple0 said:

There should be a give up button for the slugged survivor when there is one survivor left.

Or just in general. Just make it like hooks. I can attempt to stand, if I fail, bleed me out more. If I stand, voila.
