I wouldn't be opposed to buffing him just because he is iconic. I do not personally feel he is as bad as Trapper or Pig. But yeah, he is definitely near the bottom and that sucks.

If anything it should have a slightly longer distance but remove iframes. If you couldn't DH into walls and dropped pallets to just phase through a hit it would feel a lot more fair from the killer side, and mean the survivor has to have space in front of them to actually dodge the hit.
I like that suggestion even as someone who kind of defends Deadhard. That would be a much healthier change, and more fun for both sides, I believe.

I have only tried it once, and they cleansed it in 10 seconds, so technically I have never tried it. But my fear is that once they know it exists, they will go bone hunting like crazy. Ruin is nice because it isn't lethal, they don't bother to cleanse unless they just happen to see it. NOED? It is too late once they realize you have it. I feel like Devour might be a decent middle ground where maybe it gets more value than NOED because we don't need to wait until end game to get it activated. However, if it gets cleansed relatively early, it was useless. Even ruin cleansed in one minute helps a little bit.
I might give it a try though. Especially on Nemesis to try and circumvent the whole needing 3 hits thing.
-
This is not the bottom of the list. It is near the top... In my extremely humble and respectful opinion.
-
The only people who call DS an anti tunnel perk are the survivor defense squad. I mean, sure, it does help prevent that, true. But it also works if you aren't being tunneled. I would say obviously, but a lot of the community seems to ignore that fact, so perhaps it isn't super obvious.
Anyways, I honestly do not care too much if exit gates deactivated it or not. Maybe if they actually opened the gate instead of just tapping it, or 99 the gate. I do not want the perk to be useless, especially for people actually doing something as most DS abuse is from clowns who purposely do nothing to proc the stun.
-
They are easier to loop, in my opinion. And they are punished heavily if they mess up. Myers is just kind of clean.
I am not saying he is OP. And I agree that Bubba and Hillbilly are better. I am just saying the loud telegraph and abusing map geometry makes them less annoying to me.

Different people complaining. Many players were happy about the lack of a penalty, either because they were experiencing crashes or because they liked being able to quit without consequence.
I honestly did not care either way as I never quit my games. The one game I did rage quit was because I was facing a wall and saw that beam of light, immediately pulled to the opposite direction, and still dropped my down. I was so frustrated I went to sit in a corner and wait for the game to end while doing my event in Fate Grand Order. Lol.
Losing blood points is a bigger penalty than a time out if you ask me. That always happened in Overwatch, their servers would crash, you would get penalized. That was 15 minutes, but I guess at least you could play quick play.

Man, ever since console got destroyed with the new update some pc players have really been showing how selfish they are. Just shows how little you care about anyone else's fun except yours. Please keep making posts like this though, so that I know who I should and shouldn't take seriously in the future.
They are always like that in every game, the elitist ones anyway. Best to just smile and nod. Those types are not really worth the effort.
-
I am confused, if you saw 2 Claudette running by it, why didn't you cleanse it? Were you already dead and just spectating or something?
-
I mean, usually people running Blast Mine will be running flashlights or flashbangs, might as well use Lightborn if you see 2 of those suckers as it is a dead giveaway what kind of players they are. If it is just a solo who likes blinding you, I say just eat the stun.
-
They are kind of lame. I prefer if hatch was just for the last man standing, but would be fine if keys unlocked it and only one person could escape through it before it despawned for the rest of the game.

I never go out of my way to make any of my opponents angry. As a survivor, I never do anything toxic towards killer - no t-bagging or pointing. The only time I spam vault is if I'm trying to get their attention away from someone else.
As a killer, I don't body block someone into a corner and I wont hit them while they're hooked, but I will tunnel and proxy camp if I feel I need to. I don't consider them toxic no matter the role I'm playing. Many do, I used to, but I realized that I was the problem and that it is my own damned fault that I suck at looping and that the killer isn't obligated to show me any mercy.
Now, if I was face camped from the start and managed to escape somehow, you bet your butt I'm going to t-bag you at the exit gate. I'll make it even worse since I'll become supper immersed and make the game last as long as I could without actually holding it hostage.
Oh, I know I suck at looping, but I still hate getting tunneled. I play at lower levels where everyone sucks. The killers that tunnel and camp and slug are somehow lower ranked than my pacifist sister that regularly lets people go. If that isn't horrible, I don't know what is. I hardly think that constitutes as my problem.
-
I personally love the look of her koi kimono. It looks better than most of her old stuff, in my opinion.
-
Nemesis has around 90 because he is the only killer I bought all perks for. NOED didn't show up until dozens of bloodwebs past 50 despite the fact that I don't even own most killers.

I wish they'd change his speed bottle to activate faster. They said the delay was to bait survivors into going back. But in all my games with him I've never seen a survivor do that.
Not to mention that your bottles share the same count making switching quickly in a chase a waste of time. Which negates the usefulness of the speed in most situations unfortunately.
This is the biggest problem I have with him. The delay makes him so clunky. I still believe his speed bottle would be fine if not for the delay.
-
That is why they call him Basement Bubba. He is unparalleled. You can just brute force against any other killer, though.

It's sad that you don't really see any perks from like A tier down, YES, same goes for killers, calm down people
You don't see DS literally every game? I see it more often than half the s tier list. Albeit, that isn't too fair because everyone runs only one exhaustion perk.
-
Personally, I feel like his dash lacks the control to keep him as a feasible threat in anything but deadzones. I play against him a lot and have never been slammed. And I suck at survivor and have no clue how to efficiently loop.
-
This, only the survivors gen rush and leave early. I am not saying we need to farm, but maybe we all could have gotten a bit more value out of those 4 cakes if they weren't more into playing a stealth based QTE.
-
They annoyed me enough to level Billy, a killer I will never use, to get lightborn. Rofl.

Then why bother running it?
Even WGLF gives increased heal speed on dying survivors which can actually come in handy on a bad situation.
If it just gave BP it would be useless as a perk.
I would actually use it if they buffed the BP it gave to something relevant. As it is now? Will never buy.
-
I just run my standard build of Ruin, BBQ, and NOED. For Nemesis in particular? Lethal Pursuer if I am playing seriously, or Distressing for farming Bloodpoints because maxing is deviousness is probably about the easiest of the roster.
-
I would never recommend playing fair for the benefit of others exclusively. I avoid camping, tunneling, and slugging not for their fun, but for my own. I do not want to rank up anymore than I already have and (face) camping or slugging is boring. Proxy camping is more fun than you would think because they come at you like moths to a flame.Tunneling is honestly the one I struggle with the most, sometimes it would just be so easy, and it really doesn't influence my fun negatively, but it is also the thing that bothers me the most as a survivor. So I try not to. Plus BBQ stacks, baby!
-
I run it just in case they cleanse Ruin early. You almost need it in that case. At worst, they spent time cleansing most of my totems which gave me more time to play the game. At best, they didn't find NOED and I can get an easy one, maybe 2 depending on how absurdly altruistic they are being, they do that A LOT in my experience.
-
How does setting traps create a lose-lose situations for survivors, and yet only beginners do it? Like, one of those statements has to be false.
-
Eh, I have noticed that discussions on what maps are good or bad for survivor or killer are absolutely the opposite of consistent. Even my boi OTZ that helped teach me the game has some really weird and contradictory opinions about criteria from map to map. I wouldn't take ANYONE'S opinion on that seriously. There are just way too many factors.

Except it is? The survivors have no reason to delay in their escape, it causes less pain. The killer is the one who services the entity, not the survivors.
But there is a reason to delay your escape. You said it yourself. To rank up. Lol.
-
Not going to lie, that sounds hilarious. You just get a refund on the BP. I wish I could get my BP back for all the worthless items I was forced to buy...
-
@tippy2k2 said:
I'm going to go out on a limb and expect that if the killer is replaced with a bot, you wouldn't get any BP from it since you'd have to go into the game with the intention of playing against an AI and if there's anything BHVR hates, it's survivors getting BP for some reason.
Though I don't even think this game would be worth playing personally against AI. There'd be no point to it if all I was doing was beating a computer in a Player versus Player game but that might just be me.
You say that, but some of the people I have played against? The bot(s) might put up more of a fight.
-
I have poor hearing and lose survivors easily... So yeah, as much as I like her, I am probably never going to buy her, and she has 2 perks I want as well. So you KNOW it is bad.
-
I usually respect the pallet unless I think I can get a trade and still get stunned even when waiting and taking a step back once I see the animation.
-
They are good for those "deplete toolboxes" challenges in the tome. Too easy.

Don't: Bring a flashlight.

Ruin already has a base kit variant: Kicked Generators regress.
This can be easily circumvented by gen-tapping, so a minor initial % regression like Pop would be nice. Base gen regression rate could be nerfed to compensate.
5 sec of BT is easily circumvented, even now BT can be circumvented if the Killer is truly intent on Tunneling.
No, Ruin is the one where you don't need to kick gens. Making it base kit would mean that gens automatically regress if they are left alone.
-
Hard to disagree. How do you go down in rank by winning? Super counter intuitive.
-
I feel that a perk designed to counter sound should not be countered by sound. Call of Duty is the only other game I know of where for whatever reason, they decided to allow such a backwards interaction.
Maybe they could buff Stridor in a different way, they probably should. But making it counter its counter was inherently stupid.
-
Jack and Sally. How romantic!
-
I kind of like that they actually hide my totems. I do not know, I used to hate it, but I find it really fun to chase or be chased and escape just because Korn was the second best Nu Metal band .
-
If it works, it works. The developers would have patched it out if it wasn't a genuine strategy.

They should make ranking up much harder. Its insane that 50% of player base is in red ranks that should be considered the best lol.
Then you have teammates with 200 hours who have no idea how to loop half of the tiles in the game and got to reds just by doing gens and altrusim
Dang? 50% of players are red rank? I guess it would explain why I go against so many... Lol.
-
I honestly lost track. But as a new player, I have SEVERAL maxed characters and even poured millions into getting most skills on my favorite killer's bloodwebs. I also finished the Tome even though I started just a bit before this event. I am very proud of the progress on my account. I even made it to purple rank as a killer.

Sorry I am going to solve the mystery for them.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2372142#Comment_2372142
Because they are not talking about the survivor to killer ratio in a trial but the amount of people from the community queueing up for the respective role being coincidentally also a 4:1 ratio ATM. In some region, with or without crossplay, on some system and at some time of the day.
I am still confused. 4 survivors for 1 killer main is ideal and presumably what the game is balanced around. How is that a coincidence? Surely that is exactly where the devs were intentionally trying to push it. Ha ha ha... Right?

Hawkins yes, and maybe original dead dog, but now survivors send me there intentionally because in order to have a chance I have to pretend I'm the Kool-aid man for the first five minutes to make the loops even remotely able to be ended.
The only true killer sided maps at this point are:
Hawkins
Shelter Woods
The Game Maybe depending on the Killer.
Meanwhile every killer groans when we see.
Any McMillan Estate map
Any Autohaven Map
Any Coldwind Map
Midwich (I'll concede I think survivors hate this one almost as much as killers do)
Lampkin Lane
Badham Pre-School
The game is survivor sided if we're talking similar ranked killers and survivors. 4 red rank survivors, even in solo queue, are at an advantage against a red rank killer.
I kind of love the Saloon just to roleplay as the Kool-aid man. But yeah, I agree, survivors send me there all the time. I ain't complaining.
I am a weird killer though, I do not mind Coldwind and DESPISE Lery's which seem to be the opposite opinion of most killers. As a survivor, I quite like Lery's as it is the only map that I can last in chase for longer than 10 seconds.
-
I kind of enjoy it because I have a scavenger playstyle, so the briefcases are fun to open and use a vaccine. I love getting a free speed boost for first hit. Zombies have only bodyblocked a door way once for me, so I am not too salty about that. I keep getting pallet priority that allows me to avoid damage too. So it might be luck, but so far, so good. His chase music is also lit, so I am always jamming, big drip.
As for Nemesis tunnelers... Yeah, seriously, what is with that? It weirds me out how many of them play like that, especially on a character that needs 3 hits to down. They wasted 5 dollars, should have just bought Leatherface.

Nothing is ever "fixed" in DbD. It's just a coincidence that the survivors to killers ratio in queues is about 4 to 1 right now. Cool, but don't expect it to last.
Not sure how a 4 to 1 ratio is a coincidence in a 4 v 1 game...
-
I agree, but the flashlight is actually my number one complaint regarding how generous things are. Rofl.

You more or less have to slug with them, at the very least. That is why I am not too interested in buying them myself.

Regarding the number of crowns collected so far, as well as the highest number of players on Steam, the console playerbase is at least twice as big.
But they never opt PC out of crossplay since the biggest reason for them to add crossplay in the first place, was to lessen the PC players queue times.
Also explains why platforms don't have their own logos, PC players don't need it. Just to know if they are console or not is enough for them.
That might just be a Sony thing. Overwatch does the same, and the way crossplay is set up there is that you need to be invited to the PC pool. Otherwise it defaults to console crossplay between Playstation, Xbox, and Switch, yet you cannot differentiate them from one another.
As far as I can tell, the same applies here.
-
As survivor, I just made Bill 50. And then I felt kind of cute and bought Nancy. What was I thinking? Spending 5 dollars on a model swap? Well, idk, I like Nancy and she had inner strength. I didn't want to level Claudette for self care. It just made sense at the time. Anyways, I digress, I didn't level either of them 1 bloodweb past 50. I probably won't until I get my next survivor and Nancy will need those perks. That is WAY down the line, though.
As for killer? Yeah, I pretty much have to go even to make sure they all get BBQ, Ruin, NOED, and Lightborn. Yes, I hate flashlights that much. Broken as hell. Still stunning people facing walls and turning the opposite direction. You could probably tell, but I refuse to level survivors because killers take so much investment that I honestly do not even have a choice.
-
Pyramid Head. I do not like that he stops moving when you use your power. Or that it glows to show them exactly where not to stand. He is good to stop them from camping pallets or looping, I guess... And then he saves time with the free mori. But overall, I can't help but feel I am forced to M1 with him against survivors who aren't awful. And as an awful survivor, I feel I can easily run him for longer than most killers because I am not trying anything fancy. Just hold w and pre drop pallets.
