Yes, it's the BP. Many people only count BP per trial instead of BP per unit of time, so they think killers get a lot more BP than survivors.
Even if survivor had twice the BP per unit of time, I would make more as a killer. I am absolutely certain of that. I am only rank 16 and think that it is outrageous that the game would even push me to that. Rank 20 survivors are better than I am at that role. It is RIGGED, fam. I could die in the first 10 seconds, suicide on hook, and the game doesn't derank me. It is like, "oh, yeah, seems legit, this is average performance for a rank 16 player."
-
For me, survivor has instant queue until later in the night where killer has instant queue. The opposite is only ever 2 to 3 minutes though, nothing insane.
But yeah, for the event, I assume people have their grind on and killer gives far more consistent BP. Not only that, but the bloodwebs give them more cake, and to burn more cakes, you need to play more killer.
-
When the username hits just right.
But yeah, I hope we can end this nightmare on the 27th. I have faith they can do it, we just need the power of belief!

I am rank 9 and I see it all. Some games are red and purple only, which can feel quite challenging. Some are fellow green ranks, those feel relatively balanced. The games where I get beginners I actually can't tell if the survivors are just trying to BM me, and only find out afterwards they were yellow or brown.
I actually had a game with a rank 20 and I thought he was trying to make me kill him, but I saw him desperately going for the exit gate and downed him, opened it up, threw him out. Pretty sure he was a new player grouped with the rank 3, as she just randomly gave me a free kill. She was probably happy I didn't bully him out of the game.
I digress, my point is, I really like this rank. I get a dash of everything.

This would ruin the game for me. I really don’t want to have music blasted in my ear, hear actual literal babies wail in the distance, and continuously be shouted at in a language I can’t even identify. This, for me, would kill whatever is left of the game’s atmosphere.
Turn it off, I hear you say? I’d constantly be thinking “I could have more information if I just turned it on.”
Not only that, but it would definitely just add more toxicity. You don't realize that all the survivors are talking mad trash about you because it is always "us versus them" with killers versus survivors. That illusion would be shattered day 1 and erryone would hate survivor mains, not just the killers. Rofl.

Same reason you complain about gen rushing, because it makes the game unenjoyable for the other side. Can you play however you like, of course but the other side doesn't have to like it.
Eh, if I get gen rushed, at least I can have a hook unless all 4 are playing stealthy on a survivor favored map. If I get tunneled early, I get one chase, I guess. I just had a sub 3 minute game where once gens were popping that fast, I dropped a Shack chase to go and hook someone else. Grabbed my crown, broke a few walls, and opened the gate myself. I still got over 10k points and left feeling slightly perturbed.
I got tunneled out of a game and got like 3k points or something and had to wait for it to end because my sister was still playing. I would be lying if I said I wasn't seething.
I feel there is a bit of a difference. I can still play as killer, and I still get points. As survivor, I only get to play for one chase, and I guess the pitiful second chase assuming the person unhooking me had borrowed.
I am a killer main, I get why people tunnel. But man, I have to agree with survivors on this one, you can't break rank 15 as a tunneler? You are really bad. They literally can only have fun by ruining my fun because surely they are embarrassed that they are ranked lower than my sister who constantly allows 3 people to escape because she is nice. She is basically hard throwing her games and is still a better killer player. Imagine that.
-
I had some absolute unit of a Nemesis face camp off first down and keep doing that until the end where I thought I was being cheeky waiting by exit gate. His terror radius leaves, I sneak out to go for an easy open exit gates only... HE IS RIGHT THERE!
Turns out he had Whispers and Insidious. Rofl. Guess you could easily get away with such a build if you never really intended to actually play.
-
It doesn't matter too much when I play Ghostface kun. If I had to pick, The Saloon is a nice blend of open despite being small so you can M1 chase. I feel like I can be stealthy and use the grass or high ground to spot people. It also helps that it has the weakest Shack and I feel Shack is HEAVILY rigged in survivors favor. I can only get chased for about 10 seconds before going down, but when I get Shack, all of a sudden I can hold them for a minute or two with relative ease. So... Yeah, no cheese for them.

I never understood why people play multiplayer games on console because of having to pay for online
realistically there should be more PC players because of that
I would rather pay my $60 a year than whatever the hell a PC costs. Especially because those low end PCs look like TRASH. I am not necessarily a graphics guy, but the difference is so stark that I am surprised anyone can tolerate how bad some of those potato settings look in 2021. It wouldn't have been acceptable in 2012 to be quite frank.
Saving money and having the game look good enough is the mediocrity I strive for.
-
I doubt they will get buffed because they are annoying to go up against or something. There are so many things they could do that listing them would be a waste of time. It almost doesn't matter as anything would help. And they don't necessarily need huge changes either.

Just don't buy him. The recoil makes him the worst ranged console Killer in the game. Just play Huntress, no recoil AND you just need one good aim to take a health state. Trickster requires you hit 8 knives atm.
Yeah, I was kind of waiting to see if the buff goes through. But Huntress is lots of fun which is why I wouldn't be heart broken if they keep him at 8 knives.
-
Because they want easier games? The reason is pretty obvious, fam...
Otz is one of the better killer mains I have seen given his lack of optimal play. Most other decent ones I have seen rely heavily on camping, tunneling, or slugging. It is quite impressive. So I can see why so many point it out.
-
I guess it depends on your definition of mastery. If you mean like peak perfection, he hasn't been out long enough for anyone to do that.
-
Trickster has the better perks in my opinion. And he is generally more unique. I am biased though, he is going to be my first purchase. That laugh, how could you resist?

Yeah, I should edit the hand
Edit it to be a proper middle finger, I hope.
-
If they fix the crashing, probably. If not, probably not.
-
Huh, I surprisingly agree with this list more than any other I have seen. I still feel like Pyramid Head is one of the most overrated killers in the game, though. No idea why people put him so high.
-
Now I am scared to buy him. I didn't even realize he had recoil. Like, what?
I play a lot of fps games, so maybe it will be fine, but that sounds clunky.
-
Oh, yeah, I did a daily with her on Midwich and kept falling through the floor, ha ha ha... The survivors weren't definitely feeling themselves as I kept trying to blink through something that I guess wasn't blinkable? Idk, it took me the whole match to finish my 4 hits. Pog
-
They keep giving me Hawkins as Ghostface. Both matchmaking wise and the offering on the bloodweb. I have like 6 of those and 1 of everything else. Lol.
-
I agree that the balance is in a relatively good spot, but you know, there is absolutely room for improvement. I would love them to improve basic killers a tiny bit. Pig, mostly is what I had in mind. Nothing too crazy. Just increase the traps by one (which would scale better with the add on) or make it so the first box is never a key and voila, no longer trash. I just don't understand how people are okay with her power being that worthless. I guess because she has ambush? Idk.
-
I would love it, but if the developers themselves aren't confident they can pull it off, the point is kind of moot.
-
Really surprised to see Freddy so low. I am convinced he is a sleeper pick, pun intended... Obviously.
-
The meta killers. Nurse, Spirit and Blight. Surprise, surprise.

I brought up legion as BOTH Legion and Wraith are hit and run type of killers who can keep survivors injured very easily.
Wraith is more lethal then legion but Bubba is #1 and always has been, with only empowered Oni/Corrupt Purge plague being comparable in downing power at loops.
At loops Bubba can both instant down a survivor AND break the pallet at the same time while having an AoE attack.
Bubba's looping lethality is extremely high with their only real comparison between Wraith and Bubba's looping being that they are both weak to windows while using their power.
As for the billy part it really should have been left out as its very misleading to how fast wraith actually is.
Trust me I have seen these false comparisons like this billy one spread like wild fire here which is why I tried to disprove it so quickly.
Sorry if I come across as hostile. I didn't mean to and I am sorry.
Wait, how do you down a survivor and break a pallet? Usually when I hit the pallet, it cancels the chainsaw.
-
I mean, I wouldn't say mad, I just think it is sus to offer 4 cakes and then stealthy gen rush and dip with barely any points. It is really more their loss than mine as you see, the one cake that was missing was mine, and that is because I ain't trust these cats. I get like 420% stacks on top of my barbecue. Even my 10k is dipped in gold, fam. So I should really be thanking them.
What does frustrate me slightly is hatch escapes, but how can you counter RNG? Over time, I will slam that pity door shut just as many times as Daphne from the Scooby Gang happens upon it.
-
I keep getting Autohaven and MacMillan. Over and over and over and over and over again. Please make it stahp.
-
Is the map even enabled now, or did they disable it again? Idk, I only played it twice the entire event. Lol.
-
Patterns were made to be broken! Or maybe the pattern resets this year to mimic the 5 year pattern of before. Who knows? But I certainly wouldn't read too much into the precedent.
-
Freddy, he is... was(?) My main specifically because his add ons are trash and I hate using them. But really, I don't use them on anyone because, again, I hate using them. So I guess my answer is "every killer."
Honorable mention to Pyramid Head. His are bad too.
-
To answer your question, obviously it is bad design. But yeah, as everyone pointed out, the killer can initiate it, which I often do, gimme that 500 BP, baby! And if they are ready they are ready, if not... Well, rest in peace.

This scenario just perfectly describes how and why it would absolutely work. If the killer goes back to the hook, dropping a chase, it's because he WANTS to camp that survivor. And if that camping brings to nothing for the killer, because he gets punished for it, it means the system is doing exactly what it is supposed to. Just another demonstration of how killers will not ever agree to something that prevents camping and tunneling, since they always cry about gens flying. Yet, when someone presents them with an anti camping system, they use survivors NOT DOING gens as an excuse for why that system would not work (even though it totally would).
The system is bad because it gives survivors FREE unhooks. You keep saying it punishes killers, when in reality, it is more of the opposite. It rewards survivors at no risk. They would need to add something to reward hook states, in my opinion, or surely the meta would just shift to slugging. SWF would 100% exploit this idea and to counter that, you can bet people aren't even going to bother with hooks. Rofl.
-
He is one of the harder killers to play against if you ask me. I hear that bell, and, well, people say the game isn't scary anymore, but I feel the chill down my spine. Not the perk, like literally.
-
The golden rule, treat people the way you want to be treated. I live by it. If I played killer like some of the extremists who just want to 4k, I wouldn't be able to complain as a survivor when some loser played like an absolute joker. I love complaining and I am no hypocrite, so you know, I need to play nice for that reason. Plus it prevents me from ranking up. I could easily be purple ranked if I played to win, but playing for fun gives me a nice balance of lobbies which always keeps me guessing what kind of match I will have.
-
I already diluted my bloodwebs with almost every licensed killer. No way in hell am I going to do it with the OCs. Hag was the only exception because her perks are pretty clean. I would for Spirit too, if I ever bought her. Maybe Hillbilly? The rest can rest easy knowing they will never taste a single bloodpoint.

Every ghostface T-bags (because they can) if every killer could crouch I'm pretty sure almost all of them would T-bag a slugged survivor... they're not toxic because they can't LOL
I only dunk when they want to initiate the BM. However, funnily enough, people magically don't want to teabag a Ghostface. So weird, almost as though their bumping and grinding on the concrete is inferior to doing it properly on their face.
It is pretty obvious that people who religiously crouch spam would get offended if you did it to them, which is why erryone gives the face of ghost some respect. It has reduced the tactical crouching in my games by over 90%. You would think he was Superman with such an egregious reduction in ecriminals.
-
Wraith is probably one of the most underrated killers. I have no idea if people are stuck in the past or something, but he is better than people make him out to be. Nowhere near the bottom full of killers people think are actually decent. Like Trapper or Pig. Rofl. I think annoying might be the word they were looking for.
-
Would be better value than the filler content in blood webs. Albeit, I feel like just buffing the rate of map offerings once you unlock all perks would probably be a better solution.
-
After seeing what Overwatch 2 did to Overwatch, I have to give this a HARD pass. Wouldn't be against animated shorts, though.
-
Generally speaking, perks that counter sound should counter sound.
Sound should not counter anti sound perks.
-
After 20 minutes, I probably would have just given up and let them escape. Rofl. Ain't nobody got time fo dat!

But it doesnt help them increase their skill.
That is absolutely true, I do not really feel like tunneling them out of the game does much better in that respect, though. I need to do some additional guide watching or something, because I am NOT improving in the slightest as a survivor and trust me, most of those games I am getting dominated. Rofl. The skill set is just so awkward for me.
-
I just take the free points, they feed me way harder than survivors who respect what I am capable of.
The worst are the survivors who gen rush and leave. I never even get to play, really. At least the ones who swarm you are extremely interactive.
-

letting them escape wont help them tho.
It helps give me more points and furthers my bias that survivor mains are toxic as heck relative to killer mains. Lets just say WAY more killers took pity on me being a beginner and gave me an escape than the ONE survivor who gave me a pity kill. And I play 5 to 10 times as much killer...
-
@Ruma said:
I kill the survivors who sandbag or snitch on their mates.
This. No sympathy for a rat. Surprised killers actually go along with it, pretty beta of them, but hey, that is why I mostly play killer, I don't need to be one of those types myself!
-
@Vampirox said:
i feel killer should be using it every single game, i understand survivor because there bloodweb is filled with useless ######### but killer no excuse
My excuse is that I don't like survivors too much, ha ha ha... But seriously, if there was an option to offer a cake as tribute at the end of the game (even at the cost of 2 or 3 of them to prevent people from exploiting them by only using them when they performed well), I would use them when I realized the players weren't super scummy. I just can never commit to taking that risk before the game... My bad!
-
Actually using Ghostface's ability correctly, it feels SO good, but I suck, so I don't get to experience it often. Just tonight I managed to do it to a red rank, but then some dweeb flashlight saved him. All of that effort... Gone, forever.

Probably my Chibi Bill that came from this tome. I obviously don't have much, but I have a feeling this will be a favorite for quite some time to come.

Sure but as i hit 12 the survivor runs out of the exit gate...where's my counter?
Use Leatherface and mow them and the unhooker down. Bonus points if you bring blood warden and go find the two other people teabagging at the exit gates. Gg ez.

Well i got super salty red rank survivors yesterday. I was playing as wraith i noticed 3 of them had flashlights so yeah i put franklins on, and yes i had NOED.
Well during the game i knocked their stupid flashlights of their hands and after their few minute gen rush i killed 3 of them with my noed. They started complaining to me that i used crappy perks and yada yada you know the normal survivor stuff and i just wrote to them...
Do bones and this wont happen.
If you bring that many flashlights yes i will franklin them out of your hands cant stand them
and last one they said to me was go play clown it fits you..sure i can go play clown but im still going to use NOED and franklins against groups like you <3
That is a good idea. I ran into a flashlight squad and wished I had lightborn, or whatever from Hillbilly, but Franklin's WOULD do the job. Thanks for the tip.
