Why is this a thing?

Killer slugs the last 2 survivors near the hatch which is still closed and then proceeds to just stand there and let them bleed out instead of hooking them. It actually blows my mind that people do that. 😡

  • I guess he didn't want to take the chance that one would get hatch. I dislike the pity door as much as any other killer, but I still just let the last one take it if rngesus has bless them.

  • I can think of three potential explanations for it, two which are very unlikely to happen but you never know...

    1. The killer is worried one survivor is going to DC, giving the other survivor the Hatch since there would be no delay in the Hatch opening (which is why they stood on the hatch)
    2. The hook placements and/or perks you may have had made the killer worried one or both of you would ultimately wiggle away if they picked you up
    3. The killer was being a jerk
  • Couldn't the killer just move both survivors away from the hatch before hooking them? Sounds like they were being a jerk.

  • And sadly it's not "holding the game hostage" so it's perfectly fine to do it.

  • Depending on how the survivors played i would have done the same out of fear for the survivor i pick up first to DC.

One could DC while they get moved away from the hatch tho so that logic doesnt make any sense.

Besides that, they might could wiggle off then and we dont know everything like maybe they had a key or active DS or whatever.

Fair enough, but it's still a jerk move to prolong the match like that.

Depending on how the match was played, i agree.
