  • All the faces are screwed, they need to remove the opening mouths, they are so poorly done and everyone looks done with their crooked smiles and angry scowls.

    Truly abominable, incompetent work here.

  • I have never seen this movie. I should look it up.

I literally defined the word exclusive for you. When something requires money to obtain, it becomes exclusive.

The more an item costs, the more exclusive it becomes.

Items can also cost nothing at all and be exclusive--as is the case with Legacy Skins.

If people were to attribute a value to Legacy Skins, they would cost more than any other skin in the game because they are the most exclusive item in DBD. But they are not the only exclusive item in the game.

And like I've literally told you, these items are not exclusive because they can be obtained without money.

If a money can be had without spending money, it becomes less exclusive.

You yourself defined the things you are complaining about as being free in the Rifts. So I suggest you think about what you're saying a little before more people start realizing how wrong it is.

I'm sick and tired of playing killer anymore, all survivors do is loop one single window, 5 times over until the next one, like the second they get seen. How is that gameplay fun? I have to be forced to bring bamboozle on most killers because that's the basic survivor tactic, default is you're allowed to loop one spot like 4 times before it blocks it. Do the devs not know how long that is?

Most killers im saying aren't allowed to free form builds without the consequence of getting rolled every match

With gens, your forced to bring a gen slow down perk or block otherwise survivors would rather get ripped off gens then leave one on 90 or whatever. It's just a massive stress fest if you're not a travel killer.

I'll never shut up about mori's either, they should be base kit, im tired of the way it makes survivors play the second they see an offering not flip over. It always turns into an infuriating loop match even more so most of the time too. Survivors shouldn't always be in the mindset they can sip drinks until theres a mori, that's just another example of power survivors overall hold over killers.

Killer is just becoming more and more unfun and it's no wonder survivors ques take so long. Nobody wants the stress and that's a fact.

You literally can't loop a window 5 times in a row, killer will close it on 3rd loop at most. You also have perks that can deal with them like Bamboozle and Crowd Control, Bamboozle is a fine perk to bring if windows bother you you should use it, it is literally one of Killer's best perks.

Contrary to popular killer opinion getting downed and hung on a hook is not fun. Looping a killer for a long time is actually fun, that's why survivors do it.

You still think survivors are afraid of moris? Moris haven't been a threat since the nerf. Nobody is scared of moris anymore and no survivor changes the way they play when an offering doesn't flip. Noboyd is scared of moris.

Survivors don't have power over the killer. Killer is the power role.

If you aren't feeling powerful that is totally on you. You are just not good enough at the game.

Exclusive (adj.) - restricted in distribution, use, or appeal because of expense

Do I need to hold your hand and teach you how items behind a paywall are exclusive, or are you going to stop trolling?

Stuff hidden behind a paywall aren't exclusive.

There are tons of games out there where "premium" stuff you pay real money for are also accessible without paying money.

Maybe because it was a reply to your post?

With the way the new "Stun Validation" works, is that the server will prioritise the person with the best connection to it - so there might very well be cases where survivors still get hit through the pallet in their eyes due to them having a higher ping to the Server than the killer, and vice versa.

The thing with a pallet stun is that it applies the stun when the pallet is roughly 50% dropped (it has done that for quite some time, years), and I'm seeing quite a bit of people not realising that and think that if they're starting to drop the pallet then they're safe, which is obviously not the case.

Oh so that's how it works. Good to know. That kind of makes the game harder on those who already suffer from worse ping, though.

  • @vacaman said:

In a single match i've got a hit through a pallet 3 times and saw the survivor down but the game decides that nah, let's give him another chance. I don't know what hit validation have they changed in this patch but AT LEAST don't show on my screen that i have downed the survivor for instants later have him be up again not only making me frustrated but losing chase distance because i thought he was down. Now you don't only get robbed of grabs, you apparently get robbed of hits too.

This is just the reversal of how it's been since the start of DS where if a survivor safely vaulted through a window or palette they'd still get downed by an attack even if they were several steps away already.

BHVR for whatever reason decided to reverse the code and make the hit detection survivor client-sided instead of killer-sided.

Welcome to the Survivor's World I guess.

  • People still write these "behavior guides" to force other people to play the way they think they should? Even if some of the things you post are sensible, it's pretty lame really.

  • I think that punishing for playing bad is not necessary. You're already down no need to kick you further.

Playing well shouldn't be rewarded any more than what you got for playing well. That's just begging to go into snowball territory. Hitting a survivor is its own reward.

  • @bedlord said:

Since people could easily mods textures, game files and others things is there a system now that detects the files have been modified and makes you unable to enter the game is this it or can y'all explain?

Why do you need an explanation? All you need to know is it's not allowed, and you shouldn't do it.

The only reason you would need an explanation, is if you are trying to do it and want to do so without getting caught.

  • @BigKuhfahl said:

Why are Killers in this game becoming worse at playing? It's like all they do now is Camp, Tunnel, or just Slug Survivors. Like some games, I get in the start and finish before a Generator is even touched, and if one is even being worked on. Now I play both sides Killer and Survivor but, I do play Survivor a bit more and with friends, so an SWF team but, when I do play as Killer I don't do any of that because I know what that feels like as a Survivor but if by chance I do it is because of two things one being that they have been chosen towards the end of the game and I want them to be the one to leave the game by the Exit Gate or two they block my attack to save someone else. I just need to know how come Killers are now being absolute trash at this game than what they use to back when I started playing this game back when they released Stranger Things DLC.

They getting kills that way. They're not getting worse, they're getting better at killing.

This stridor nerf was just stupid. There was no reason to nerf this perk.

Also I noticed threads on iron will being overpowered even a little before stridor was nerfed. So what caused that?

    Salty Spirit players.

  • Not sure if this thread is full of sarcasm or full of ignorance.

  • if you have to ask.... its time for you to play a different game.

  • It's a "bug" but lol never heard of a bug like that.

  • Yup. BHVR's netcode is definitely crap as usual, and it's been bad for the past week or so.

They aren't despawning they are just rubberbanding. You'll also see them running into walls and even doing air gens or air healing. 100% latency problem. It also happens with killers but less frequently.

  • In the backburner. Just stick to DS or Huntress for your ranged fix I suppose.

  • I have never heard of bugs with a 3D mesh becoming angry.

Sounds like an excuse they're hiding behind after being called out for a botched facejob.

  • I have no idea what changed with Trickster but he's still weak. He isn't threatening at all.

Just finished a game against a Rank 2 Trickster. We all got out easy.

  • Kate looks like she has a bucktooth now.

  • I make mugcakes, they're my favorite cake because it takes 5 minutes to make and is delicious.

  • Scratchmarks are too graphics-intensive, they had to tone them down so the game would run on consoles.

  • LOL I didn't know they buffed Lucky Break to work on Scratch Marks. But damn that gigantic nerf to operation time.

  • If so then it's about time and good riddance. When is Iron Will buff going live?

  • He's never been OP.

He's one of the weakest killers IMO. He is strong in a very niche set of circumstances -- basically getting caught in an open area with no cover. So he's annoying to fight in maps like Autowreckers, Rotten Fields or maybe even Ormond.

Other than that he's relatively easy to verse compared to other killers.

Now is the buff live already? I don't pay attention to patch notes. I just escaped a match with him, 2 people died but that was because he was camping the basement hook. That we even got people out of the basement when he was hardcamping it tells you a lot.

  • Nah.

You are too obsessed with getting 4Ks. Learn to let go you already won the match.

  • I'm playing at 120fps, good enough for me.

  • @M4dBoOmr said:

why do I feel like my killer anti-looping/hunting skills have skyrocketed since the removal of "mods"?

Well what a coincidence, my survivor looping/evading skills have skyrocketed since the removal of "mods" as well.

  • @unluckycombo said:

I don't get what it is tonight, but I think some people who have been playing need to drink some water and ease up. I can't tell you how many games I've played tonight (Generally in a casual 4-2 man SWF, with the 4 and 3 man having a genuine new player) have been against red ranks who stack 2 or more gen regression perks and will absolutely annihlate us before we hit the 3 gen mark while we're just trying to meme or play around. (Bonus points if they brought a mori.) And I know it's the same on the otherside with Killers, with Survivors that will absolutely eat gens and would rather see their friends die on first hook then not pop gens. (Again, bonus points for BNP.)

But like... yeesh, how about we consider easing up a little? Like, we all know bad it feels to be annihlated on either side, so... why push that same feeling onto other players?

Seriously, if the game is already pretty much set to be a W for you, there's no reason why either side can't ease up and at least try to give the other side a chance to recover or at least get more BP- whether it be giving the Survivors a little time to recoupe, reset and try and get a little gen progress, or giving the Killer a hook or two (or heck, even just doing side objectives to give them more time).

Idk, I'm just saying, I think a lot of folks seem to forget that it's just a game, and there's no reason not to ease up and just try to do some goofy stuff for fun, especially if you know you're already bringing home a win.

Well if you're in red ranks you can't expect people to ease up. People in red ranks tend to play for keeps. You don't stay in Red Ranks unless you're good at the game and at least try to play to win.

  • Well, that is true, most opponents in red ranks will be playing sweaty.

But if you are good enough you can get away with crap builds in red ranks. I run nothing but Plunderer/Appraisal/Ace in the Hole in Red Ranks and I play just fine.

  • My favorite is sabotaging the hook when you are trying to heal someone you just unhooked. I better stop using Sabo+We'll Make It builds.

  • DBD runs at 120fps on a $400 PC. I should know, that's how much I built my PC for and that's how fast the game runs on my PC.

  • @GPdMK2 said:

I'm not sure if there's people talking about performance on pc here as well, but I can see why DBD is not exactly running perfectly on console, that's because even on pc this game is currently poorly optimized. I am currently playing with a GTX 2060 + SSD + I7 10750H. With that I usually got to play above 90 FPS (which to be fair, it's kinda of an issue by itself considering how old this game is), but I started to notice that the game struggles to keep a stable frame depending of where you're in a map, of which killer you're playing and what action is currently being performed ingame (dead hard, killer's m2, etc) the worse case was when my game dropped from 90 something FPS to 52 for no apparent reason during a chase, and even though it's a minor problem in comparison with what's happening on consoles, that shows that the problem is happening everywhere. If a game from 2016 can't keep a stable performance on a modern pc, ofc it won't be able to do it on a old console as well. At this point I would recommend BHVR to just release a optimization update instead of a new killer. It seems the more stuff they add it, the worse it gets performance wise. Very soon you will need a gtx3080 and a ps6 to run this game with a good performance if the performance keeps getting a hit everytime they release something new.

BHVR cannot optimize, they don't have competent enough programmers to do it.

    1. Killer is the Power Role.
    2. Game is skill-based. The better player(s) wins.
    3. SWF are mostly newbs who have no idea what they're doing. That's cuz most SWF are made up of one veteran and a bunch of his new friends he's trying to get into the game.
    4. Spirit needs skill to win.

Pretty sure Yun-Jin is also censored, from what I remember lol! I was trying to chat with a random teammate and it would censor the characters name.

This. I find it hilarious you can't even say an official original character's name in the chat.

  • Hag. You can't chase for crap but you don't need to, they will set off your traps and hang themselves.

  • @Trickstaaaaa said:

Called it within the first 2 hours of the ptb being opened, in all seriousness. Read my discussion history. I can already see people posting for him to get nerfed. That is assuming he is released in his updated ptb version, which I don't think they will. I'm pretty sure they adjusted some of the buffs. But lets he is released in his ptb update. I'm already saying it now, he will the most hated ranged killer in the game even more than deathslinger. He might be hated as much as spirit and the twins if he is updated in his ptb state. As a matter of fact a lot players hate him now, despite him being one the weakest killer the game. A killer that I managed to escape 95% of my games when I gone up against him... A lot of people hate him in his weak state.

That'd be a losing bet. BHVR has a history of releasing PTB exactly-as-is into live with zero changes no matter what anyone said.

While all the Survivors are Purple and Green?

I can't de-pip enough to get out of the sweat pit. Which is weird because, I'm having constantly horrible games where we barely complete any gens and we all die.

Is normal unfortunately. You'll need to get good enough that you're at a level where fighting red rank killers is not an issue for you.

  • Twins is a strong killer. A lot of people here like to look down on Twins, but then a lot of people here like to downplay any killer for whatever silly reason, even strong ones like Leatherface and Wraith.

  • @stikyard said:

I don't know what rank you are but, playing SWF at Purple / Red is about your only choice for a decent game.

My friends are all fairly bad at the game and don't play very much so, it's not really that much of an advantage anyway.

It does allow us to not rely on information perks and frees up a perk slot.

Good Killers still wreck us though.

Nah, I have literally played thousands of hours in red and purple Solo Q. I have tons of fun and I wouldn't have played thousands of hours otherwise.

  • Some SWF is toxic most aren't.

You can change your own mind I'm not going to do it for you. What am I, your mom? I learned to change my underwear when I was 3 years old. Changing your mind is significantly easier. You can certainly do it by yourself by now.

  • @TheOhioHutcH said:

For Survivor for me it would have to be kindred. I feel so naked with out it. As for killer agitation always feels good to get to that hook.

Kindred is losing a lot of its steam in the current meta. Too many Wraith players.

  • @GannTM said:

For the record, when I mean “feel good,” I don’t mean meta perks like Ruin or Dead Hard. I mean perks that are kind of like an addiction that mainly are there for QoL.

For me, it’s Iron Maiden on Huntress. I think I’ve gotten used to the fast reload speed so much that if I take this perk off, I will miss the perk so much. I can take off Ruin, I’m All Ears, Whispers, BBQ, Corrupt, Nurse’s or any other perk I usually run on Huntress and be just fine but taking off Iron Maiden would feel absolutely terrible.

So what are your perks that you have become addicted to and will have a hard time taking off?

    Oh definitely.

Plunderer + Ace in the Hole + Appraisal

I get an endorphin rush seeing what I'm going to fish out of the next six chests. It's like playing a Gacha game each match, except I'm not wasting money on in-app purchases.

  • @ringwinning said:

Curious since I'm dipping my toe into killer, what are the signs of a SWF that I should avoid?

I've been avoiding lobbies that suddenly load in all at the same time as 4 PC players, and lobbies that carry a map & key or multiple flashlights.

    Any other signs?

First check if they showed up in the lobby all at the same time or not. If they all showed up at the same time good chance it's an SWF.

Next obvious signs are the player names. SWFs will often have matching or complementary names.

Next they may dress up to look the same.

If someone brings a key and another brings a map it might be an SWF.

If someone brings a key, someone brings a hatch offering, and someone brings a map offering it's probably an SWF.

Next, in match if someone has OOO it might be an SWF, but ever since the nerf nobody actually uses OOO anymore.

Well that's it really. Some people are super paranoid they check out the Steam ID of each player and see if they are friends. Neurotic bunch of killers all.

In most cases SWF doesn't matter. If you're at a point where you are so newb to killer that you have to ask, you are not going to be facing any SWF commando squads. That only happens when you're a Rank 1 killer. Any SWF you run into will be a bunch of newb survivors who have no idea what they're doing and are hiding in the corners whenever you come near.

If the enemy team performs well and seems coordinated taht isn't necessarily an SWF either. I've been accused of SWF just because I bring Blood Pact, Aftercare, Kindred and Open Handed. This build gives so much information to your teammates they can perform really well if they know what they are doing. Experience solo queue survivors can act in extremely coordinated ways if they have aura information to work on.

This is a pretty redundant question, you've most likely heard the name, read the story, or even saw a picture of this creature.

This thing. (I would normally credit the artist, but i couldn't find them anywhere)

I bring this up because of the Slenderman posts I've been reading, I thought it was interesting and the more and more I read them, the more Siren Head kept popping up. What makes it even more interesting is that the original artist for this creature would interested in adding them to DBD.

I dunno, I figured I'd ask the public to see how they would feel about this creature and read your speculations for it's power for fun.

This isn't a character concept, just an actual discussion

    Never heard of it.

People are just conditioned to thinking Wraith is weak from all the past years that he actually has been weak.

Wraith today is a different beast and frankly in my opinion is stronger than Spirit.
