I want this so much. For those times when the farming David or hatch camping Claudette end up on the hook.Tsulan said:Something to show the appreciation of the other person? Like a middle finger. -
I watched some gameplay and the killer just slashes away at a survivor repeatedly with little to no effect, looks like Legion lmao
On the plus side at least the entire game doesn't revolve around looping. -
Strange. It isn't too bad for me (EU). Lobbys used to be instant, now they will either be instant or take a minute or two tops. Far better than it was last week where it became excessive due to the new dlc launch.
-
Because Billy was in at the very launch of the game, well over a year before LF got added. They didn't understand the game as much as they do now so the balance wasn't right.Poweas said:@The_Crusader said:

honestly, if they would just make his MS 100% when he's holding his chainsaw rev, instead of what appears to be 95%, it would fix him for me. It kinda prevents you from holding it to use at a good time.
When he revs his chainsaw, his speed is decreased to 87.5%
That is horrible, and counters the small speed boost he gets from running. Why do they do ######### like that?
To balance him?
It's the risk/reward of the chainsaw. It's harder ro pull off, and the slowdown makes it so that you can't hold forever, once it's charged you need to use it pretty quick otherwise the survivor will run ahead. But the reward is an instadown.
Why can Billy move so much faster then?
However they can't adjust him now because the killer playerbase would throw an immense tantrum.
-
To be fair I saw people asking on these forums and yet they got no reply. Not even a simple yes or no.
-
Yes compare me to a camper because I don't like the idea of a perk that rewards people for tunneling. If the obsession gets caught then it's game over for them as you admit yourself, nothing more fun than having the killer circle the hook and whack you down as soon as you're unhooked. Lots of fun, great game design.

These perks enable and in the case of DL even encourage toxic behaviour.thesuicidefox said:@The_Crusader said:
Dying light can go along with DS and OoO. It's an extremely toxic perk that rewards killers for tunneling the hell out of one survivor.Perks are not toxic. It's the players that are toxic.

The only problem that actually bugs me is how he can tunnel you down after causing deep wounds, and due to how chases work you can't defend yourself.
For example..
- Legion hits you and causes deep wounds, he then hits you again to further decrease the timer.
- You run away as far as you can, it seems quiet so you start to mend. The timer reaches 1% while mending.
- He comes along, now if you try to run you go down because the game doesn't consider it a chase.
That's the part that is unfair. The timer is meant to pause while he's after you but it doesn't always work. Something about that needs to change. -
Bait account?
You can't play with Xbox players on Ps4 and vice versa. -

Feng by far. Those little squeaks and squeals make the game.
-
There are enough challenges in the game for killers without removing hooks. We got sabo people, DS, flashlight stuns, pallet stuns etc
-
I've heard of others having the issue but it hasn't affected me.
The music is a bit loud though. Hell the whole audio from top to bottom is more unbalanced than Decisive Strike right now lol -
Its if they do it on the edge of the map. That's when it's a b**ch lol because there's no other hooks nearby often.Attackfrog said:I remember shortly after the patch @The_Crusader made a comment about how that hook-breaking perk was his new least favorite perk (he said it more eloquently, but I can't remember the thread).
I was thinking "c'mon, it's not really that bad!"
but now, after having played MANY games...I actually hate that perk more than DS too. Oh my god...SO freaking annoying!
Is iron grasp a new essential perk for killers? Ugh....
Or certain locations on the map such as the thompson house. I mean the devs finally fix thompson house then weeks later introduce a perk which undoes that change. Great idea, real genius.
This is with 1 jeff too. God help you if you have 4.
Truetalent put out a video recently where one hook is broke at the edge of the map. Survivors doing what they do best exploit this and run to the edge when they're going down, then just stay there slugged knowing he can't hook them. How utterly toxic. -
The thing is survivors are meant to be the weaker side due to being rhe more numerous side. Therefore their perks should be weaker, as there will be 4 people carrying perks.Wolf74 said:@The_Crusader said:
Wolf is right. Killer perks get nerfed without a second thought.Fact is there is already a backlash. The perk is broken. Its the devs responsibility to fix it. It should never have been put in the game in the first place. I still dont get how they didn't forsee the 2 years of problems when they were testing it.
They didn't see it, because their team of in house tester has a hard time hitting the skillcheck.
So they thought the reward for it has to be stronger.
That way it became a forcemultiplier.
Less skilled player struggle to hit the check and gain nothing from the perk.
Good player hit the check every time and get a lot from the perk.
But then if your perks are balanced, decent but not overpowered.....how do you sell DLC packs to people who mostly only play survivor?
They aren't going to shell out the cash for Aftercare, or Autodidact. Decisive strike and deliverance style perks though? Yeah that's more enticing.
It's a shame that the game will continue to be stuck with this problem. Perhaps if survivors had ubique attributes and were more than skins it could have been avoided. -
The real question is, do they think about perks and the impact they will have before release?
-
I dunno. Sometimes yes. They injure your whole team, slow you down a lot, and sorad the pain out.
But when a legion decides to tunnel or chase only you? Eh not so much. -
You can't counter it. They're allowed to do it. Again this game sells on toxicity so its no wonder its been left in the game.
I think the should be a button for the killer to close the exit gates. Hear me out...
You have it at a fixed point in the map, say the basement. Once the killer interacts with this the survivors get a warning on there screen that the exit gates are closing in 20-30 seconds, and the exit gate locations are revealed to them. They then have to get out or else the exit gates and hatch are closed permanently, the survivors aura is permanently revealed to the killer, and the rancor effect turns on - exposed and ability to kill.
Now obviously this button couldn't be used if a survivor was on a hook as that would be unfair. All survivors would have to be unhooked for this to happen. And by the act of having to go down to the basement, the killer couldn't get someone trapped somewhere they couldn't get out of.
Now killers have a choice. They can hunt the survivors down and play the normal way. Or they can decide "well this is a loss", press the button and give the survivors 30 seconds to get out of the game.
Its not a perfect solution but at least survivors could only stay in the game teabagging for 30 seconds as opposed to 5-10 mins as detailed in the op. -
Dying light can go along with DS and OoO. It's an extremely toxic perk that rewards killers for tunneling the hell out of one survivor.
I'd love to know what the hell the devs were tjinking when they designed the perks in the halloween dlc. -
This is why they play the game. Just to try and e-bully people.
Theres enough stupid ######### in the game to enable them too. Thank god the instablinds went. -

Its the community that ruins it. So many games recently with last second switching. People dont come to play properly, they only come to troll killers.
Just had a game where rhey changed to 4 p3 claudettes at last second and i got coldwind. 4 hard to see characters on a hard to see level. ######### game design but the devs enable them.
Anyway I bring a mori because I know they're going to be toxic. They disconnect then start gloating and getting abusive in the chat.
I report them but the devs wont do anything. They dont want to do anything. Because being toxic is why people come to this game. It makes behaviour money.
They'll kill their own game for the sake of profit. Its disgusting. -
One of these days we will boot up the game and see patch notes about a DS nerf out of nowhere. Christmas will have truly come early that year.
-
No unlockables? No extra bp?lasombra1979 said:Honestly, just much of the same. There is no side objectives for this event so it should be rather simple.
-
Unless you used a black ward or mori, it's more likely that their game crashed or paused during the loading screen. It's quite common for that to happen.
Yeah 3 vs 1 games are never fun. You didhe best you could spreading out the hooks evenly. They should have disconnected early if they didn't want to play rather than when they know they're going to lose. Guess they figures it was worth a shot though. -
Would be nice. I'd know not to try totems etc
-
Few questionsPeanits said:Please report them in-game. Reporting them will save the chat log for us to review. We do check the reports and we do ban people who go overboard on insults. These bans start off small and get progressively longer each time they are banned, eventually becoming permanent if they do not change their behaviour.
1) What's the timeframe between receiving a report and issuing a ban if warranted? By that I mean a day? A week? Etc
2) Does the chat only save if you report for abusive language? Or anything? I reported someone under the trolling category once for farming. They admitted it in chat too so I'm curious if all options save logs -
Some surviors just want every killer to be able to be looped for 5 gens. God forbid we get killers where survivors dont feel safe on the other side of a pallet.
-
Not to mention how sometimes you can't even get them.MhhBurgers said:@Arroz said:
Just dont be crybaby, ds is tottaly fine
What if we talk about noed ..? blood warden .. they are second chance perks and no one complains.Blood Warden is useless, NOED is useless if survivors cleanse totems, DS cannot be completely countered and is gonna be in a match literally up to 4 times which means up to 4 free escapes.
Killers have no perk that comes close to DS, we don't have a perk that just doublehooks a survivor once we put them on a hook, the only thing you can compare DS with is a mori.
Everyone knows not to chase the obsession unless you just can't see anyone else. Plus you get situations where you're under pressure, you slug the obsession.....and then you just simply can't do anything with them. You can't hook them if there are no hooks nearby. You can't afford to take the time to take a stun. You have to leave them slugged so someone else has to pick them up, robbing you of a hook. You can pick them up but then when they strike out it's a free heal basically. Thats why many take unbreakable, because they know they'll get slugged.
The game shouldn't be like this. No perk should be able to do this.
Not to mention it enables toxicity. In fact I hate that perk as a survivor too because you'll always get some toxic clown in that game who is only there to piss off the killer. Then they go down, miss their DS and rage quit shafting every other survivor.
What a toxic, cancerous perk. Same for object of obsession. -
The brightness hasn't affected me too much but yeah the sounds are broken beyond belief.
No footsteps
Almost silent breathing
Even stridor doesn't seem to be working properly.
And overly loud music. -
It would be easier to list the sounds that aren't bugged right now.
-
Because killers have put up with being ######### on since day 1 so they're used to be second class. Meanwhile survivors cry foul anytime they're expected to not be able to go 1 vs 1 with the killer, or when they can't bully killers anymore.Wolf74 said:@BeanieEnthusiast said:
I’m glad BBQ got some kind of nerf. You see it in almost every build. It’s like pre-nerf brutal strength. But why is it only killer perks that get that treatment?
SC, SB, DS.... and BT just got a new buff instead. -
It would "break the game" and cause survivor mains to review bomb it to hell.
And by break the game I mean change what the game has currently become to something that's a little more fair and doesn't look as stupid.
But yeah they really should do this. Make survivors be more careful about touching the walls. -
Trapper and Spirit.
Trapper will just "patrol" the hook endlessly waiting for his tunnel.
Spirit will walk away then phase walk back over and over again hoping to catch and unhook for the tunnel.
-
The biggest problem with SWF is the toxicity. No amount of giving solo players more info will deal with that. These are people whonhave noninterest in playing the game normally, they just want to bully the killer. Stupid perks like DS and OoO enable them.
Then we have totems. Nothing worse than chasing 1 guy who runs last your totem then 10 seconds later you see the whole gang running down there. How do you balance that? -
Right near the bottom.
-
I just want to play a normal game with normal people. Is that too much to ask?powerbats said:@The_Crusader said:

Yeah screw that. The survivors in this game literally ruin everything.** Every game is just an excuse to be toxic for them.**
I wouldnt even be fussed with half of the last second switches if they were like that from the start, its that I cant stand them trying to be sneaky and I know they only want to be toxic and I dont want to play with people like that.
Yes the typical survivor bashing and histrionics since every match is a 4 man swf squad that always goes full P3 Claudette at the last second. Let's see they also always go full DS/AD/DH/SC/UE/BT/NM loadouts. Wait that can't work since that's 6 perks aka 24 perks tot eh killers 4. You have to decide what perk excuse you want to use this time.
Now it's the 4 flashlights excuse, the time before it 4 was 4 insta heals, the time before that it was 4 tool boxes with BNPS and all gens were done in 3 minutes. Well we know that's a bunch of baloney so they gen rushed you in 4 minutes and you magically never saw a single person.
But wait it's their fault you got looped for 5 full gens, their fault for destroying your totems, their fault for not running in a straight line. It's their fault for pallet slamming you, their fault for doing safe unhooks and for not standing under a hook for you.
The bolded part of your comment is most instructive so I'm going to point out something. If every game the survivors are toxic that means just one thing. The common denominator in every one of your games is you, which means the survivors aren't the problem.
Oh in case you didn't realize this there's a LOT of SARCASM in my post !!!!~!!!!!
-
Yes, let them keep creating killers who can be looped all game. We all know which side that will be fun for.
The game absolutely BLOWS at high rank outside of a few select killers. Running around pallets is just so boring and tedious.
I hooe they create more killers like Nurse, legion ,spirit, hag etc who can cut that ######### out entirely. -
Mine just crashed now. 10 mins waiting for a lobby only for it to freeze on the loading screen.
I don't know why I bother. -
Bump
Currently been sat in a game 5 mins becauze these ######### refuse to leave. Didnt even play toxic, used party streamers, yet they're sat slamming pallets until I wave them out.
The devs wont fix this because they dont want to fix it. Thats the appeal in DBD. Being a complete and utter ######### to other people. Thats why half of the swd in the game plays the game. Thats why they wont remove DS or OoO. Because if people cant be toxic and use the game to piss off other people then they'll stop playing.
What a ######### joke of a game.
Wouldnt have lost either if this piece of ######### game didnt insist on giving me the largest levels in the ######### game every time I use a slow killer. Its like clockwork. I'm 100% convinced its coded into the game. Guess im gonna have to burn map offerings if I use legion from now on. -

I've been trying out myers and pig tonight. 7 games. In 6 of them the survivors spawned tight in the same area as the totem.AlwaysInAGoodShape said:Oops, I totally agree with that.
The totem Spawn issue remains unresolved despite the varying amounts of post covering the issue.
True Talent recently stated that it's just not fun without Hex Ruin because of how fast the gens go, so despite the flaws we are forced to use it.
I hope that when the Devs have some more time on their hands and commit to a 5 year plan, that they'll start tackling these type of issues that have previously gone ignored.
So as soon as I began my first chase they would run right past it. ######### ridiculous.
Best game was the last one. I put the game map on to get a good hiding spot for once. Chase a guy and he runs down this back corner where ruin is.
10 seconds later I see his mate go running straigjt down to that area and start cleansing the totem.
Takes the ######### piss. Yet these devs are content to keep lying to everyone about how swf is perfectly balanced. -
Know whats worse than no killer variety? NO ######### MAP VARIETY!!
Every other game its a coldwind offering or crotus penn offering. Its boring. Its ######### dull. I've played them a thousand times.
Theres a reason most online games dont let you pick the map. -
I mean the current ruin is bad. It's an absolute joke. It almost always spawns right next to the survivors.AlwaysInAGoodShape said:@The_Crusader said:

It really takes the piss.
Do you mean that the built-in Ruin is bad? Because that one does not "spawn" in the first place.
The new replacement of the original Hex Ruin in the form of a perk doesn't have to be strong. It might as well be surveillance. -

This fits ds players playstyles perfectly allows you to loop more effectively which suits their playstyle.
