I agree the corn maps are too annoying. Its just boring walking around searching high and low for that claudette crouching in the corn.
Not to mention the fact that survivors burn these offerings every third game so in a DBD session you can spend most of your time on tbese awful maps.
It's time to cull the map list. There are 5 corn maps. I kinda like Thompson house but Rotten fields has very little to it besides corn, pull that one out of rotation. -
I have to agree that I don't feel it should have been put out with the way the audio issues are. Especially not when staff are taking a holiday break.
I feel like the game is gimped over christmas. The lack of footsteps and breathing really hurts killers, and on survivor side some things just sound awful, Myers tier 3 for instance the music sounds like it's coming through one of those old Tiger lcd games and its hard to tell the distance on the huntress humming now. -
And yet a number of killers still complain about gen rush?
I think the game is very tense. As killer all it takes is one chase that goes on a little too long, or losing a survivor without gaining a hook to put you in a really bad position.
Likewise as survivor all it takes is a poorly timed unhook, or one weak player to cost you the game.
It feels like it's on a knife edge and that you can't afford many mistakes on either side.
I don't feel like killer is OP. Even as 2 man swf we tend to win most matches. As for solo? It's ok outside of green ranks. In green ranks though it's horrendous. -
Normally I'm not too fussed but when I want to grind BP and throw on a survivor pudding anf BBQ then yeah I feel shafted when they D/C as soon as they go down. I wasn't even using OP add-ons or killers.
Then once first disconnects, I think the rest feel cheated and D/C too. -
Been slugging more the past week because im desperate for BP. The amount that disconnect so their friend can get the hatch is insane.
Had one I was chasing, as soon as they get to the hatch they stop. I hit them, their friend DC's and they jump right in.
It's disgusting and they have no shame. -
Yeah I've noticed its far worse after the patch.Maximus7 said:@The_Crusader said:
I keep getting the infinite loading screen. I have to close the game. Hope people aren't reporting me as disconnecting. That's from someone's game soft-locking, if you're talking about loading into a game. Which never happened at this rate before this patch, by the way.
Also getting a lot of games with only 3 players due to this. It really sucks. -
I keep getting the infinite loading screen. I have to close the game. Hope people aren't reporting me as disconnecting.
-
If I could use a map offering and not have survivors use a map offering at the same time and win the obviously rigged coin toss.
I have the worst luck in this game. -
Watch some of the streamers play them. Truetalent or monto or whoever.
For Clown I tend to be holding a bottle ready. The bottles can be charged so this way you will throw it at full power. Throw it just ahead of them so they'll go into the gas which will slow them down.
Alternatively throw it on loops and then make them run the long way through it. Might give you a hit at the pallet.
Both struggle with pressure so a lot of people take ruin to slow the early game down. M&A helps too as the 32m terror radius gives survivors a bit too much of a heads up.
With bubba you'll want add ons to improve the charge speed. Some people take spirit fury and enduring. Break the pallet with SF, then you should jave enough time to instadown them with the chainsaw.
If you dont have a spirit fury charged and they're looping then just M1. Bubba is weak at loops so as much as I hate to say this you should play to his strengths and "play defensively". -
What a tease this bump was.
We want bunny feng. -
I find him really fun. Guessing people don't care for the idea of a projectile which doesn't hurt survivors.
I just like not being survivors b**ch at pallets. Plus its fun watching them panic and get herded about by the gas clouds.
I'd like to see more people use him too. He suffers from a lack of pressure but he's still better than half of the killers imo and I think hes an easy one to learn. -
Yes give me Nemesis with a rocket launcher. Move over Huntress, there's a new projectile killer in town.
-
Probably Billy.
-
I'm getting more infinite loading screens now than before. Have to close the game. Hope other people don't assume I'vd done it due to offerings burnt.
-
I've always thought
1 survivor dead is a loss
2 survivors dead is a draw
3 survivors dead is a win
4 survivors dead is flawless victory
As survivor I'm just happy if I make it out, but yeah it feels like a more comfortable exit if two of you make it out of the door. So I guess that is still a draw.
-
Toxic? Sweaty and tryhard I guess you could say, but toxic?
The low ranks are full of toxic people too. Hell I'd expect more of them at low rank becauss most stay low rank so they can bully new players, and they often disconmect when they're about to be hooked.
High rank gets boring though. Such little variation. It's all P3 claudettes with the meta perks at that point going for the biggest and dullest loops in the game. -
She's really not fun to play against when they camp.Especially a basement camp. I'd take LF over her.mcNuggets said:@Vietfox said:
Hag main here.
No, she is in a really good spot and doesn't need a buff at all. She might have just a few good addons, but she doesn't need them to do well tbh.The hag is a good killer, but not fun to play against or to play as.
You constantly have to break chases and is especially good in defending hooks. But her potential of downing is fairly low.
That's why I try not to do that when I use her. I'll trap the basement, the survivor will trigger the trap and run off. Then they'll go back after a little while and crouch walk all the way down to the hook. This slows them down so much that I don't even need to camp, I'll probably be chasing/downing someone else while this is happening. If I can't find anyone then I'll teleport when they're on the way out and get the unhooker instead because I know shes far too strong when it comes to camping/tunneling. -
Haha I know she's strong. I was making fun of you-know-who.Star99er said:

I see a lot of people claim she's not fun to play though. Not sure why I think she's fun. I perdonally find Billy boring. -
Yeah I see a few of the teabagging flashlight/decisive scumbags are starting to take this perk too.SnakeSound222 said:Breakdown getting abused should be added here. You can be on the other side of map and the hook will still break. You're basically getting punished for hooking a Survivor. Multiple Survivors running this will just be hell for the Killer. Yes, Hangman's is a thing, but I shouldn't have to run a perk to have fun. At high ranks, I can see a lot of Killer builds consisting of Ruin/Sloppy and Hangman's because of how sweaty Survivors are.

I'm getting loads of BNP for survivors. Only levelled a killer or two a little bit but only got yellow add-ons

The honest answer is rose coloured glasses. It's the same on both sides.
Take camping, for example. Borrowed Time is the only practical counter (to actually save that person). Or if you're a stealth player who doesn't want their aura to be read by all the new aura reading perks and abilities, you gotta run distortion or sole survivor. Killer's got ruin and you can't hit those skill checks? Can't find the totem? Stake Out, Small Game, Detective's Hunch.
At the same time, you have things like bloodlust and generator regression added for killers. And let's not discount the window blocking mechanic which prevents countless infinites, that one is absolutely huge. It's not a one way street, it's the same for both sides.
"Can't find the totem?" They spawn on top of it, or it is out in the open. They ALWAYS find the totem (or at least 99% of the time), and usually within the first minute of the game.
First minute is being generous. Narrow it down to first 40 seconds.
Truth.
I have literal video proof.
Not even making fun, it's the one good thing that Ruin does. At least it's something I guess. -

Wraith > Doc and Pig
You can catch survivors in bad positions. His speed boost can help on some pallets/windows, and with speed add ons BBQ and MYC are great on him.
I'd say Cannibal should be C tier as well. End of the day he had an instadown. Give him charge speed add ons and I'd take him any day over Doc or Trapper. -
And this is why killers still have a persecution complex. The devs really did treat them as second class players in the past.Tzeentchling9 said:Judgement said:There used to be a time when the devs went too far in “fixes” and made it so any stun at any time of picking up a Survivor would cause the Killer to drop them when the animation is complete.

- Kindred for everyone.
- Points for solo survivors if a teammates disconnects or doesn't load in. -
Pharmacy is good enough already. I use it over self-care. Since the healing changes most killers are using perks or add-ons to apply mangled, so a self-care is about 40 seconds. Far too long, I'll take the risk of relying on a med-kit and doing it in half-the time.
-
Do you use Pig? if so there's your problem.
Try Nurse, Hag, Spirit, or Clown. You'll find getting hits in much easier.
-
Because more people play survivor.
-
Freddy can hit people on the hook now. He couldn't interact with people before since they were awake.
Found this out when I was doing my daily and got a really toxic P3 Claudette

-
About 16 on one killer, 12 on another, then just a few here and there on the rest. I only use them if I feel the group is going to be toxic.

You've got some real double standards going on here. You throw out all these excuses for DS, then when I do the same for Legion suddenly it doesn't count and the goalposts are moved.
Umm if a counter is a counter against MANY things rather than one thing or person then that goes in its favour. I.e Iron will is good because it works well against all killers, including Legions trying to track. Calm spirit however is an inferior perk because it's only really good against the doctor.
All you do is come in and tell people they're wrong as if you're the supreme authority here and then start throwing out straw mans, double standards and hypocrisy. It's like you're trying to put across this pretentious persona but it just ain't working bud.
Ok let's put this to rest once and for all, the discussion was about countering Legions moonwalk, you were given counters. Then you changed it to well these perks and addons cottner Legion and you were shown the fallacy of that argument because you don't know you're facing Legion.
Then you changed it to well these perks are good against most killers, and then now you go right back to the straw Mans and Ad Hominems to distract from the very obvious fact you not only got countered but kept changing your argument to try and deflect attention away from the fact you were wrong.
Then you finish with the Ad Hominems and pseudo intellectual nonsense to distract from your changing narrative. The only thing not working here is your continuing to move the goalpost and try and insult me to distract from you losing a debate.
Also wasn't it you that in another thread complained about this forum having a killer bias and in another thread complained about killers but now you're a killer complaining about a survivor perk.
Lastly it's become obvious you have no real argument anymore since several people have shown you about counters and how they work. You just keep changing the argument and flinging insults to distract so I'm going to stop replying to you.
I disagreed with their counters the way they disagreed with mine. Nothing wrong with people having a different opinion.
I do believe you're the one putting out the pseudo intellectual nonsense, but whatever. I can't be bothered any more.
and yes I complained about killer stuff....and I complain about survivor stuff. Imagine that, someone who plays both sides and wants both sides to feel fun and balanced. There are some people who when they post clearly only care about making changes to one side. I'm not implying anyone specific there for the record, just speaking generally.
-
Yes. I assume at that point nobody is doing gens and first one to be caught dies while the other gets the hatch.
Most killers keep a watchful eye over the hook anyway, so pulling them off is suicide. You'll turn a 3k into a 4k.
If I'm near them though and I know for a fact the killer is out of sight I might pull them off if I can do it safely.

Again with the deflections, show me where I said a counter wasn't a counter again? I even pointed out counters for you and now you're trying the classic Straw Mans.
You've been shown counters and now it's back to the logical fallacies to point blame at someone else because you refuse to admit you were wrong.
i said you don't know who your going up against as a survivor which means your claims are illogical because those counters you're saying are directed at Legion. Now you say well IW is good against all counters where before it was a Legion specific counter.
Then Lightweight which you listed as a specific counter to Legions Moonwalk is suddenly not useless towards other killers that don't have his exploit. So now who's moving the goalposts because they keep getting their arguments countered.
Ah yes the well I guess this perk is worthless attempt Straw Man, you made a bad argument and got proven wrong. So now you're just going to Ad Argumentum yourself endlessly to deflect from being proven wrong and then deflect attention away onto me and anyone else like you did with @thesuicidefox and others.

Yeah I'll make sure to smack them again after they DS me next to the infinite on wretched shop and proceed to loop me for two more gens while not being able to do anything due to the fact that such loops have very little to no mind games making the survivor able to waste my time by simply holding shift+w.
They're limited on loops and all 4 survivors will run straight for the best loops everytime.
Bamboozle helps if its unlocked but otherwise its best to play spirit/nurse/hag and just cut out all the BS. -

Soft counters....well taking iron will is a soft counter to legion. Or lightweight.
Iron grasp? Lmfao now you're reaching.
Theres no actual counter so I don't know why you're getting sweaty trying to throw out all these suggestions which are either situational, or dont counter it but just lessen the sting of it.
And a survivor has to run far away from all hooks to wiggle free. If you have DS then its only 35% max, or you dont even have to wiggle at all if you're the obsession.
As @thesuicidefox mentioned there's counters and just because you don't want to admit it or you can't use them properly doesn't mean they don't exist.
They take medkits you bring Sloppy Butcher TO COUNTER THEM, 4 Flashlights you take Lightborn to counter them, slower killer Iron Grasp and or Agitation. There's counters to everything no matter how much you try and deflect or twist what people say your narrative of no counters is wrong.
Counter:
Transitive Verb:** Offset**, Nullify
Adverb: to or toward a different or opposite direction, result, or effect
Transitive Verb/Intransitive Verb
If you do something to counter a particular action or process, you do something which has an opposite effect to it or makes it less effective.
Well that sure looks like DS has counters.
Oh and I still hate English classes.
As for Legion. Bring iron will or lightweight to make it harder for Legion to track you. Bring adrenaline or an instaheal to mend deep wounds. Bring DS for the free escape.
There we go. Well that sure looks like Legions moonwalking has counters.
GG -
Ok how about this...
Just run fron Legion. It's a soft counter. Delays him catching you by a few seconds. Just as enduring counters DS by shaving a few seconds off the stun.
Oh wait let me guess that isn't good enough?
Oh and bring adrenaline. It mends deep wounds. Its a counter.
Oh whats that? Too situational? -
Why dont you get off your high horse, stop coming into every thread talking down to people and straight up telling them they're "wrong"? It comes across as obnoxious.powerbats said:@The_Crusader said:
Dribbling isnt a counter. What do I do if they're too far to dribble? Oh thats right nothing. Something which is so situational is not a true counter. Also they can counter that "counter" with flashlights, instaheals or body blocking. They have enough time to set up for it too.
Again I already pointed this out you can slug them and it's absolutely no different from when a survivor runs to the exact same place so that when you down them you can't make it to a hook.
Now here we go with yet more excuses every group is going to be able to do that, every group is a 4 man swf swat team. Its not like you can't see them coming with a flashlight. The amount of insta heals in the average lobby is quite small.
If they bodyblock you you smack them and guess what you get free hits and then there's multiple injured survivors. Which is amazingly no different than if they body block you, use flashlights or instaheals and the person doesn't have DS.
Enduring helps but DS can still guarentee a free escape even with it, and they can still get a free escape, make it to a pallet and loop more.
Yes because there's always a pallet and loop spot every time available yet didn't you just say they go to an area where there's no hooks? If that's the case then congratulations they just ran to an area with hooks and you down them again.
Its also not like you haven't probably destroyed said pallets already that the non obsessions have already used and you obviously chase them properly to steer them away from said pallet and looping spots.
Yes you're right counter play matters, hence why DS needs to go. Thanks for agreeing.
Wrong yet again since DS doesn't need to go and you know it, it does however need to be adjusted. You have options use them instead of making up new excuses each time someone gives you examples.
All this shilling, what is it you're after? -

Dribbling is a soft counter, slugging them, Enduring is a soft counter, Iron Grasp, UP etc are all soft counters. The only double standard here is you using the argument that you like while ignoring anything that counters it.
AD is very situational and requires you not to be dead or on the hook when the gens pop. Balanced Landing is great if you're on say Gideons Haddonfield etc but on Autohaven you're screwed.
So the survivor runs to an area without hooks to trigger it, how is that any different from not having DS in order to get downed out of range of any hooks?
Soft counters....well taking iron will is a soft counter to legion. Or lightweight.

1) There is counter play to DS. Dribbling is counter play, why you dismiss it is beyond me. Enduring also makes DS far less impactful, and therefore can be considered counter play. Slugging is also an option. Just because someone has DS doesn't mean there is absolutely no way to play around it. Sometimes counter play is situation dependent. There is 0 counter play to Myers tapping tier 3 while directly behind you. But when it's not that situation there is counter play.
2) Counter play matters because if you can't counter it then it just becomes either an overpowered or trolly tactic. If you can counter play it then it's not an exploit.
3) Stop putting words into people's mouths. Stop assuming because someone disagrees with you it automatically makes there points survivor/killer sided whatever the case may be. And stop with the "well the OTHER side can do this this and this" as if that justifies something. That's called a tu quoque ("you too") fallacy.
Enduring helps but DS can still guarentee a free escape even with it, and they can still get a free escape, make it to a pallet and loop more.

9 times out of 10 the totem will spawn on the survivor side, right near the first gen they work on.Cymer said:Well if you play devour hope hag and within the first 20s someone breaks the totem and you didn't even had the chance to reach and defend that totem, yeah that sucks. Its even funnier with NOED. The amount of times the game has picked a totem right next to where the last gen was done is ridiculous, even when multiple totems are still standing.
I dont blame the survivors but I do think the spawn points are rigged. -

It counts as a kill for the killer and death for the survivor. Seems about as fair as it is right now for the killerYou're not entitled to a 4th kill and need to get over that sense of entitlement, if you want that 4th kill slug the 3rd or hook them enar where the hatch will spawn. The killer has options right now but you don't want to use them and instead want a free kill.
Anyway, someone could just at easily say you don't deserve a free escape...
As a team the survivors lose. Without a key and all gens done the survivorS aren't making it out.
Who is the free escape for? If its for player 2 then what use is that to me? Or player 3? Or player 4?
Remember only 1 survivor gets the hatch. The rest have to die. -
The escape rate per rank shows why survivor blows at low ranks.
I hate rank reset. You need to grind to get out of the green ranks asap. -

Yup.Terratoast said:The survivors are not meant to know which killer they face, so the survivors should not be getting any amount of information about the killer until the match has started. The killer is suppose to know which survivors and which items are being brought.
So the only thing that needs to be done is something to prevent the survivor last-second item switch that sometimes happens.
The fix is simple, if the survivors switch with less than 10 seconds remaining then the timer goes back up to 20 seconds to give the killer time to adjust.
At the moment its just one more thing in tje game which lets survivors be toxic. -
Legion struggles to build pressure by moonwalking. It takes too long and he often has to walk too far. Survivors can win as a team easily. No problem.thesuicidefox said:@The_Crusader said:
And like I said there are plenty of videos out there humiliating bad or inexperienced killers. Noob3 made a name off it.IF SOMETHING WORKS AGAINST BAD OR INEXPERIENCED PLAYERS THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT AN EXPLOIT
By this logic literally everything is an exploit because bad players will fall for anything. Like seriously, learn how to spin your camera. It's not rocket science.
The fact 360 has counter play, very easy counter play actually, means it's not an exploit.
Legion walking backwards to cheese the chase mechanics may or may not have counter play. Currently no counter play is known, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If it does, then it's not an exploit. If it doesn't, then it's an exploit and should be fixed.
"So what's the counter play?!" I don't know. It's possible there is none, but like I point out things can change in the future. Considering I don't ALWAYS play against a Legion, and when I do they don't ALWAYS do this tactic, it may be some time before I find proper counter play. The video posted earlier had an Adam that was actually doing a decent job of countering it by waiting at a pallet to drop on the killer then forcing a chase when they go to break.
I'm not jumping on the bandwagon that it's an exploit just because RIGHT NOW there is no counter play. Like I keep saying I've seen this sort of thing before. Case and point Halo 2, I actually know the guy that discovered the noob combo (Plasma Pistol > BR instakill). He was a high school friend that introduced me to tournament organizing many years ago. When the game came out, he was running a tournament for the game at a local LAN shop. He was also a semi-pro player in Halo CE. I was a regular there and already ran tournaments for Smash, so he invited me to be his teammate for the 2v2. He showed me the noob combo and we destroyed everyone. So many people were quick to cry fowl and say we were cheating, but it was just a simple dynamic discovered in the game to insta-kill. Skip 6 months and people found ways to play around noob combo. It was still quite powerful, but not unbeatable. Really the best counter play is to just bait the PP shot and dodge it by going behind a wall, or tossing a nade at their feet to force them to jump away and mess up the BR follow up shot. What seemed like an exploit at first wasn't later on.
