I disagree. DS is the most BS thing I've ever seen in any game ever, and I've been gaming for decades.Vietfox said:

But yeah we've all been there. Survivors just have a bag of broken tricks they can pull out whenever.
This is why as annoying as NOED is, it needs to stay because it's the only perk killers have on par with all their bullshit.
Funny though how he talks about the end of DS in the video. Half a year later and there's still no nerf in sight. I genuinely believe the devs are far too scared of survivors like that crying to ever properly nerf it.
I only use DS when i got the daily of being chased for 2 minutes, but i think people are overreacting about DS.
Both noed and ds are fine.
Btw, true made lots of mistakes in that video and i find so funny how he blames perks instead of himself.
It needs to go. -

Yeah I could have done that. She kept running to the end corners where no hooks were nearby. And I downed her there. Is that map hack?
Survivor plays cheap...still loses....cries foul -
Quick and quiet with no cooldown would be very overpowered and annoying.

Yeah I've been thinking this for a while.Blueberry said:I'd be curious to see how far off the games "2 kill" balance goal was if we took all NOED kills out of that equation...I'd wager quite far.
In which case it's no wonder some people find it hard. The game is balanced around NOED. You can tell that on some of the bottom tier killers. Not saying they can't win without it but they often feel underpowered every step of the way. -
Mostly Claudettes.

Well guess I'm staying low rank this month since I dont like billy or nurse.
I'm playing at Rank 15. I'm not heading to Rank 1 again until the event starts and ends, I was playing Nurse at level 15 and 31k blood points per match.
Went from Rank 10 after reset to 15.
Best decision ever.
I've started practising Nurse myself the past few days. I'm doing quite good surprisingly.
But I just discovered that laggy survivors are hell for her lol hard to blink on someone when they're teleporting about.
It's the perfect solution to the "nurse needs nerfs" issue!
Instead of nerfing nurse (which no killer wants!), They just buff survivors by increasing their lag! Bam! Instant survivor teleport buff and easy counter to nurse teleport!
Wait...now I think I need to start a thread calling for survivor lag/teleport nerfs...
But man the laggy ones are hard to hit. I assume this is something you have to adjust for? It's harder to find exactly where to teleport when they're phasing in and out like the spirit does.
Hopefully the dedicated servers help with this. -
NOED is like the better Ruin. It just takes place at the opposite end.
1 totem vs 5 totems.
Who cares what survivors think? I just had one guy with DS, Deliverance and an instaheal. How many crutches do you need lmfao
And past few games have been tense. Had to slug the obsession because there were no hooks nearby and I just didnt have time to take a d-strike. Perks like that should not be in the game.
So yeah...I'n gonna start running Noed more now. Never used to because I thought it was cheap but survivors have no shame so why should I? -
I hate NOED as much as the next survivor but it needs to stay because its the best counter again all of the survivors broken BS.
So sadly a totem counter would make it too easy to counter. -
Exactly. Its much harder to pip as survivor because a camping killer gets you a depip if you get camped, or a black pip if someone else gets camped.Delfador said:I have written this for another thread but I think it is still relevant.
When I play as a killer, I almost always get a pip.
When I play as a survivor, it depends.
Killer camps and tunnels one guy and I gen rush and survive --> Black pip
I get camped and tunneled --> Depip (Most often, at best black pip)
Killer is not really good, can't catch anybody --> Most probably black pip
etc.I am not claiming that playing survivor is the most difficult thing in the world. It is just sometimes it is not in your hands how the game will go.
So pipping as a survivor is more difficult than pipping as a killer, generally speaking. Killers reach high ranks easily while survivors struggle, and it creates long lobby queues for the killers at high ranks.
Also, the fact that more and more people want to play the killer side makes lobbies really bad as well. Pre exhaustion nerf lobbies for killers were great for example. Many people didn't want to put up with that bullshit but recent changes attracted people who originally wanted to play killers but found it too difficult and frustrating like me.
There is not enough survivors for killer at high ranks. Ratio is not 1 to 4
A crappy killer gets you black pip, or depip if they manage to clean up with noed.
Its amazing how little you have to do as killer to get a black pip. I got one with a no blink nurse before. -
They can change it to anything. They've changed other perks and they're reworking freddy.MasonHugsCats said:@Mister_Holdout Same but they can't just remove a perk. It costs money to get the Myers DLC. Removing a perk and replacing it would be a betrayal to all the people who bought Laurie.
Besides I'd argue removing it is for the greater good. Leaving it in the game is a betrayal to all the people who have been shafted by such a broken perk.
I paid for the halloween dlc and I'd love to see DS removed. Hell I'd pay them again to do it. -
What killer are you using?
The problem is you can't just be good at chases. You can end all your chases quick and still end up with no kills and survivors tebagging at the exit gates.
You need pressure. You need ro absolutely overwhelm them. This is why Billy is so common at high ranks.
Instadown one survivor with chainsaw. Fly across the map and instadown another. Now this ones getting hooked as the first is only just getting unhooked. Fly back to where the first got unhooked, down them again, now the 4th guy needs to get off the gen to save the other one you hooked.
Picking any of the standard killers, by the time you've slowly waddled your way over the map to even begin your next chase the first guy is probably unhooked and halfway healed.
Most of the killers are too slow to create pressure. -
Killers complain because survivors can pull out so much BS at any point in the match.stvnhthr said:The game is unbalanced. The average game length is getting shorter. Average survivor bloodpoints are consistently about half of what the killer ends the game with. This is wise from a developer standpoint, but it makes the game very heavily weighed in the killers favor by design. In an evenly balanced game 2 survivors should escape and have scores about equal to the killers. In an evenly balanced game this would be the norm at all ranks. This seldom happens. I main as a survivor but when I need quick bloodpoints I play with an unperked Trapper and usually get 3 to 4 kills without even trying that hard. I don't understand anyone who mains as a killer and complains. It is so easy as a killer and with the new perks it is getting easier all the time.
About to basement hook? Oh here's Decisive Strike
About to get an end game kill? Oh here's adrenaline
Juggling the obsession to the hook? Oh look his friends just shot him with a syringe mid juggle
And there are many more scenarios. As killer you can feel shafted at any time.
The only thing killers have that promotes the same feeling is NOED.
But I also think its tje fact that many games feel like they're balanced on a knife edge. You can point the exact moment a loss happens. 1 chase takes too long and so too many gens get done, or one person got unhooked too late and so the killer was able to snowball. Its very close cur in a lot of games. The one wrong move can cost the game unless the other side also messes up badly. -
Clown is fun imo
Legion.....he's a weird one to play. Now that the novlety has worn off I'm not sure if I find him a little tedious. You either down someone at 110% speed which is dull or you moonwalk which is also dull. -
I disagree. Some designs are pretty good and it would be a shame to have them just disappear and deny new players the chance to get them. Plus it's a waste of revenue to take them down.
You get them anyway, there's no need to deny other people the chance to have them just for the sake of making them feel "special". -
I'd like to see them promote lesser used killers to increase variety.
I saw hybridpandas video the ither day where he showed off some stats someone had collected about killer usage. Clown and Hag at bottom which is a shame because both are really fun and hag is really strong and clown is easily high mid tier. It hink clown is a great killer for new players too since they might struggle with loops.
I mean I guess streamers do that but it would be nice if there was more of a push. It gets a bit old facing trapper most games at low rank and billy most games at high rank. -
If you have a 4k tv yes. Some games look really nice when displayed in a higher resoltion and HDR.
If you only have 1080P and no HDR then no. Some games will have increased performance, and you csn force it on non-supported games but it's not as big as a difference to be worth the upgrade. -

Not bragging. But @Madjura called me incompetent to play Freddy.
Just because @SK92 claimed Freddy is strong, and i asked him if he reached rank 1 with him.
Good players can do ok with Freddy but it doesn't change the fact that he has glaring weaknesses i.e. can't pick people up if they're being healed, can't hatch/exit gate defend etc
When it comes to videogames sadly the argument always seems to devolve into "git gud". -

Very true but the problem is that the game is balanced around NOED and DS. I imahine the survival rate would change drastically if these 2 perks were removed, NOED especially.Zarathos said:Noed and ds power level in comparision to other perks is insane. The reason people frown on these perks is that unlike most other perks of this power level you never earn its use through excellent play. Compare it to devour hope or deliverance heck even adrenaline requires the survivor last until exit gates.
All these perks provide crazy powers but have awkward requirements that can be tricky to fulfill. Noed is a reward for not playing well as killer. Ds is the same premise. One can argue with the meta of the game its hard to knock a killer for using noed.
Gens get done extremely fast and killers only need one bad chase too often lose the game. For survivour being hooked once can often be all it takes to ensure your dead and it is a nasty feeling to only have two or maybe even one hit to try and win.
But despite all that I cant in good concious run these perks. Im not playing into this arms race of running blatantly poorly designed unfair perks because the game is imbalanced and my opponets are using unfair perks as well. Which is why players frown upon others who take the easy way out. This is not someone who mains billy or nurse no even as freddy i could never agree to running noed.
I do have a clause for running noed. If you want to run it for an end game build commit to it don't slap on ruin just so you can min max your build and for the love of god don't face camp a player so their is one less player in the late game. You know who you are.
I never used to take it because it didn't feel rewarding. Now though? I figure I might as well take it. 95%+ of survivors I see are all using DS and Adrenaline, high rank swf all bring instaheals too. If they're all getting +1 health state mid game and late game then I need something to even out the odds.
The survivors bringing DS have no shame in using it so why should I with NOED?

The thing I don't like about being a low level Nurse is that I have to rely so heavy on Ruin and Thanataphobia to slow the game down.
When I first started the game I couldn't even down 1 person with her. I'd get a hit and then lose them.
The past week though I've been getting 3ks. I might try to take her to rank 1 just for the hours of practise. The only downside is I'm not sure if her gameplay is for me. It feels a bit slow taking fatigue all the time. -

Hard limits are tricky. I could play three gen hag or doctor and the game would cut me off with a "that's all folks" and send me on my way.If someone is doing it to grief, though, please report it. That is holding the game hostage and is treated the same as a killer blocking survivors in somewhere and not allowing the game to end.
The problem arises primarily when the Killer doesn't want to do the monkey dance for teabagging Survivors at the gates. They won't leave because they want to humiliate the Killer, and the Killer doesn't want to give them the satisfaction. However, because the Killer technically can stop it by going to the exits and playing the clown, you don't consider it griefing, despite being 100% used to grief.
But some people are just that sad. Thry HAVE to be chased out. They need the killer to see them leave. -
A lot of killers need add ons to make their powers useful.
Clown is great at chases but often gets gen rushed due to no pressure. I'd take him over a number of killers but sadly he's not strong enough to be consistent at red ranks. -
No. She can only see blood with the glasses add-on, but that has built in bloodhound anyway.Poweas said:I might just use bloodhound from now on, does it work with Spirits phasing? If it doesn't then thats not fair it should be able to.

Yeah it seems pointless to me too.
I think it would be better if it told you how many survivors were on a gen. I.e. Blue for 2, yellow for 3, green for 4.
And each perk level would unlock the next ability i.e. level 1 would only show blue, so there might be 2 but there might also be more. -
I'd be fine with that. I never rush hooks anyway. I don't even set off running until they've been hooked.GraviteaUK said:Another survivor who thinks unhooking should be gifted to them.
Fine we can do that. Killers get blinded if they sit too close to a hook for too long.
But survivors can't be within 10 yards as the person is hooked or their aura shows up and they are exposed to the killer making them a one shot.
There we go Killers no longer camp the hooks and survivors can't vulture and farm people without possible consequences.
Sounds fair right?
Don't understand why some people run right behind the killer as he's carrying someone to the hook as the kller can hear the footsteps.
I tend to play it safe and not unhook until the killer is a good distance away. This way most of them cba coming back as they're already halfway towards a gen about to find a new victim.
I think unhook points need to go. I've seen it encourage hook rushing as people compete for points. It weighs heavily into pips which is the problem. -
Partly agree.Master said:The problem is that trying to kobe is an intents mechanic and you can't punish a player for failing a mini game event.
However detecting and punishing dc's SHOULD be an easy thig and we shouldn't even have to talk about that
Those people who disconnect as soon as they go down in a game? Yes they should be punished, they ruin thr game for others.
Those who disconnect because someone else disconnected and now its 3 people expected to do 5 gens? No, they shouldn't be forced to stay in a crappy game where the odds are stacked against them. They shouldn't be punished because someone else rage quit. Same applies when only 3 people load in. Nobody wants to play those games. You shouldn't depip for backing out.
Lag and being teleported is also another legit reason to D/C, but hopefully the dedicated servers fix that. Can't expect someone to stay in a game where they're getting teleported all over. -

Yes, survivors got some small nerfs in the last 6 months. Exhaustion nerf only affected a tiny amount of survivors. Really few people were able to use SB twice during the same chase. But to make up for it, they nerfed Bloodlust a little to hard.ad19970 said:@Tsulan said:
Is this bait?
Because this looks like bait.Solo survivor has never been easier. I really don't understand what you are implying.
Oh and I'd say that we'll see more complaints about camping killers. Just a side effect when you nerf a perk that reduces camping.
Killers need to be the weak role... you want a bully simulator or what?
So I'm definitely the last one to complain about survivors being to hard and killer to easy. I believe this game has improved a lot with the latest patches balance wise. But explain to me how survivor is the easiest it's ever been. Survivors have seen multiple nerfs and killers have seen multiple buffs in the latest patches. Survivor definitely isn't nearly as easy as it was a half a year ago.
Also, complaining about camping is totally fine. Of course complaining about killers who camp isn't fair, since they are just using a valid strategy. Problem is that camping is a valid strategy right now, which isn't good game design. Don't you understand how unfun and boring it is to get camped and just stare at a hook until you die as survivor?
The healing nerf was necessary. Simply because everyone was running SC and no one bothered to heal other survivors. Which made it really hard for solo survivors. Now people start to heal others. At the same time, slugging was nerfed hard and sabotage was buffed. I'm honestly surprised that we don't see more sabotaged hooks.
Why are survivors stronger than ever? Because the devs try to give solo survivors the same information lvl as SWF players have. With all the warning signs. When I started 2 years ago, I had to pay attention. If that survivor was injured or if the killer was using NOED. Now we have a warning sign on every perk that affects survivors. Lullaby warning before it's active, UP gives a warning before survivors hear the heartbeat, etc.
This not only buffs solo players but also SWF.
Most of the killer buffs have been QoL changes to underwhelming killers. Which made them somewhat more viable.
Camping is boring for both sides. We got BBQ to give killers a reason to leave the hook. Now they nerfed that hard and soon we will see way more complaints about camping. BBQ was easy to avoid. But required some action on the survivor side. But now? Just enter a locker.
Killers also get a penalty for staying close to the hook. While nothing was introduced to slow down the gen rush. All 5 gens can be repaired in 3 minutes...
So a chase takes somewhere between 1 and 3 minutes. Then the killer camps because 3 gens popped during that chase and before the hooked survivor dies, the last 2 gens are done. Now with BT buffed, he gets unhooked in the killers face and can escape through the gate. gg ez
The new engine buffed stealth. But nothing has been done to make looping less efficient. That's another unasked buff.
Want me to continue or is this enough?
I agree with you about the last part. Stealth has been buffed with the new engine, but looping hasn't been nerfed. That is a probpem.
However I disagree about your "3 gens pop so killer camps" excuse.
1 or no gens can pop and many killers will still camp. This isn the problem, that unjustified camping is far too common. -
And that's the problem, where's the counter play?Freudentrauma said:@Youkari said:
@The_Crusader... in a point i agree with ya; Legion is easy to utilize, but i highly disagree on the Nub part. If we follow ur sentence then we should declare Spirit a Nub killer as well since u utilize her power as well without timing and just watch scratchmarks and listen to sounds. But it's actually not that easy. Same with Legion who suffers from same issues: no scratchmarks as well non-lethal ability. u need to make choices wich is equivalent to placing traps/mindgaming in chase with heavy outcome on ur performance. Legion is a crowdcontrol killer and such u need a decent amount of awareness how to assault. Sometimes dedicating to a chase even with Killer Instinct up or sometimes hitting a wounded survivor instead to trigger Killer Instinct to set up pressure or target a specific survivor to kill, it's all something wich requires alot of experience and experience is equivalent to skill. So Killer Mains with lesser reaction speed due age or other IRL hindrances prefer killers who demand rather experience to utilize his potential. And Legion is such a Killer, ofc not on scale with Spirit but similar.Spirit is much more counterable, because she can't see you. I know Legion won't detect scratchmarks, but they are fast and see you. If they stay focused chasing you, they won't need scratchmarks to keep track. The only god counter are pallet stuns, which can be outplayed by Legion by respecting them or hitting through wit a fast strike.
Besides that. Yes the ability is almost non-lethal. But still it always guarantees a first strike on Legion. That's why survivors don't heal against them. They will hit you anyway against with it and going against Legion can be kinda annoying, dealing with a killer, that even though it takes multiple stabs and a lot of time, they will always injure you and your friends, without any counterplay.
Exhaustion perks work but that's a 1 time use. ll you can do is pray you've got iron will and he can't find you. -
It's garbage. It often spawns next to a gen near the survivor spawn point. So if they don't see itnstraight away then it won't be long before they find it.

This is what the developers fail to understand. People dont just want to avoid large swf groups because they have a communication advanrage, it's because the nastiest and majority of the toxicity comes from 3-4 man swf groups. Nobody wants to play with them because many are nothing more than tumours on the game.
Stop, I play 4 Man SWF every day (Without Comms) sometimes we bring flashlights and mess about, but it's a video game, you're supposed to have fun and try new things, lets just ban flashlights so the killer doesn't have to "put up" with them.
If you see 4 flashlights run franklins, simple.
Killers non-stop moan about "Gen rushing" (lol) but also complain when half the team is messing around with flashlights and not doing gens?
Not every 4 man swf is toxic but some only play the game for that reason and they need to go. If you cant tell from the posts on here people are sick of it. -
Because I'm new and I offended one of the in-crowd.KiraElijah said:

Also because I'm not popular enough on twtich to be able to break the rules and get away with it like one of their fog whisperers. -
Green rank - camper city/tunnel town
Purple rank - ok
Red rank - Tryhard rank. P3 claudettes with meta perks. Massive dull loops every game. -
I know that feeling.EntityDispleased said:@Vietfox said:

@EntityDispleased
What makes you think i shouldnt be rank 1?I didn't mean it that way. It's just that all my matches at rank 10 either end up with a de-pip or a black pip. Whether it be because I got mori'd, camped, tunneled, an incompetent team (which is quite common) or any other unfortunate event. People on here make ranking up as survivor much easier than it really is. :v
If you get spotted first at low rank you get tunneled or camped out of the game. It's ridiculous. People here will say "get good at looping" but even if you loop all game you'll get shafted on pips due to jot doing gens, heals or unhooks.
All you can do is just hide at the start of a game. Hide until the killer has gone past or until you know the killer is chasing someone else. Don't even touch a gen. Then you'll be ok, because most killers only ever go after the first person they get. It's really sad.
I find it hard to pip sometimes bevause even when you're doing well you can depip. I remember one game there was a wraith chasing one person all game. I did 2-3 gens unhindered. Right as I pop the last gen the wraith appears and hits me with noed, hooks me, and the rest cant find the totem so they leave me to die. Dead on 1 hook due to ######### noed. Depipped because I got no unhooks or heals since there was no chance to and no evader since i only got chased and hit once. The scoring system for survivors is absolute garbage. -
Garbage perk and I'm completely confident that this perk alone plays heavily into the under 50% survival rate.
We've all been there. Killer gets maybe 1 hook all game, then turns it into 2 kills at the end due to NOED. Absolute crutch for bad players and enables camping.
At the same time - it's sadly needed to balance out the game. Seems like 90%+ of survivors take Adrenaline or DS, and with high rank players they'll often have instaheals too (especially swf). So survivors are getting +1 health state mid game and late game. It's only fair that killers get something to even the odds. Most don't have instadown abilities, haunted ground only lasts for 1 minute, make your choice is more hit than miss for most killers, that leaves NOED as the best choice. -
Its a crappy thing.
On one hand you cant punish someone who decides they've had enough and leave the legal way
On the other hand, you gotta feel bad for the team when someone decides to suicide on their first hook.

This one really needs to change. Also you should be able to opt-out of 3 vs 1 games penalty free, nobody wants to be forced to play those games.Avariku said:

I do that and im fine with it.thesuicidefox said:Stop playing to escape. You are a survivor, you are supposed to die often. Play to pip it's a lot more enjoyable. Follow the "rule of 1", 1 gen solo, 1 heal solo, 1 save, 1 minute of chase. You will pip every time. If you escape it's like a bonus.
Problem is when the killer camps it all goes to #########. Hence why we complain about it so much.
Or games where killer only gets 1 hook all game so its hard to get saves, get no chaser cus hes been looped all game, and then downs you with NOED at the end so you actually depip because you only got to do gens.
