Disagree with some of those points.Mc_Harty said:@Nokillerinozone said:
Looping isn't an option, neither is stealth after he hits someone, only has to hit you basically once then you'll go down eventually. Why tf is he considered so weak?- Can't down people as fast.
- Mending is too fast and doesn't stall the survivors enough.
- Survivors that are spread out completely makes his power useless.
- Can't see scratch-marks while using Frenzy so he's easy to juke around windows
- The only way to play him viably is to break chase and walk backwards, while chasing a survivor, which waste more time compared to any other killer.
- Is completely countered by not healing
- 110ms
Just to name a few.
6 isn't true anymore because of number 5.
Now does number 5 waste a bit of time? Yes some, but I've seen killers looped for a full minute. Hell some get looped all game. If legion moonwalks you can't loop him all game. You've got your DW timer and that's it.
Hes broken. Utterly broken. -
Its got worse performance than the other maps for everyone.
-
Lmao degeneracy I love that word.Zarathos said:Heres how you kill as legion run either franks mix tape or stab wound study don't run both its a waste. You can 3 hit in your power one hit which has no stun and survivours cant do squat to stop you. Otherwise don't look at survivours stare at the ground and follow survivours then down em once the bar hits 1/3. Congratulations behaviouvr we're now using his power to down isnt this such a fun interactive chase.
Whoever designed legion clearly didnt know that his power would be so easily exploited. Look up damnnohtml video on legion to see this degeneracy in action.
I think they were aware. I think thats why the timer stopped while mending on the ptb. So even if they chased you, there was a chance to get it up little by little. -

Its the survivor buff we never asked for.Like games playing survivor wasn't easy enough already..
Now as you waste time looking for that p3 claudette with urban evasion the gens will be going ping ping ping behind you.
Or do you just give up looking for survivors? In which case they are free to go pop that gen they left at 90%?
Locker change, distortion, new graphics, new fog - this is a HUGE stealth buff.....but so far killers have nothing to compensate. Where's the balance? -
I'm not going to disagree with that.Delfador said:@The_Crusader said:
This makes Legion look bad, very bad in fact in terms of design.Survivors can't get away from him. I know others have reccomended this strategy on these forums. I tried it myself with success. You can't afford to run away but legion never stops long enough to let you mend.
I see now why they had the timer pause on the ptb while you were mending. That was so you had a fair chance to defend yourself.
Then everyone complained he waa too weak which he does feel at times so now we get this.
What a nightmarish convulted design.
This is what we are trying to say but people already made their mind up already. They don't even listen.
He is bad at the same time really good. It is astounding what devs can achieve.
He needs a rework.
In 2019 we will be talking about a Legion rework the same way we talk abour a Freddy rework. I can see that.
Right now everyone is calling for a buff because they're trying to attack people at 110% speed which really does make him feel useless.
Once more people figure out how to cheese the system and bring perks like bloodhoud and stridor it's going to be awful facing him.
After Curtain Call and Shattered Bloodline this is a real disappointment.

What a nightmarish convoluted design. It really is Freddy all over again - glaring weaknesses such as exit gates yet that feeling that once they find you, you can't escape them. -
I just want Decisive strike gone. It's a nasty, toxic perk which enables toxic players.
-
I heard the rain is really bad in red forest but I haven't played it yet.

I want a ninja outfit for her.

Bingo.Malakir said:The hatch is needed but also abused
Needed because you can't rely on your team members and give the chance to escape to someone who earned it is needed
Abused because people would dc, die on hook by purpose etc to give the hatch
Plus stand offs are annoying for both sides and pretty unnecessary but they scraped the closing hatch idea. Isn't simple, the whole end game should be changed and to make it hard to be abused isn't an easy task
When you play a lot of survivor you start to appriciate the hatch after you play your 10th game where some tool disconnects a minute into the game. It gives the remaining survivors a chance at escaping.
Also survivors dont have blindness while inside a locker? #########, how could they overlook that??? -
It's definitely harder to see people with the new fog, and I think the grass on swamp and corn on coldwind looks darker too making it harder.
So now its harder to find survivors which slows down the killers pressure in a game where gens were alread going too fast.
Its the survivor buff we never asked for. -
Really? The gens go so slowly when I play him. Red ranks btw.
-
Killers kept camping and tunneling so I guess they had to buff it.
The rest of us suffer because of those few crappy killers. -
I don't have that many offerings. It would be impossible to keep up.Speshul_Kitten said:Just burn your own offerings, it should give you priority every OTHER game.
All I want is some variety. I'm not against them choosing a map for fun but its no fun for me playing coldwind for the 10th time that day.
Its not like they even pick them for fun. Its the p3 claudette picking the easiest surivor map where she cant be seen. Tryhards everywhere. -
In a game where everyone complains gens are done too fast, apparantly we needed more ways for the survivor to hide which slows down the killers attempts at creating pressure.
Great work. -

But the hillbilly has 115% movement speed, little to no stun on his chainsaw, and can move 3 times as fast while using his power, and can also easily instadown with it. So tell me, is it really too much? I don’t think so.The_Crusader said:115 would be too much. We've been over this.
115 and no stun is ridiculous. -
Well that's one way to put it 😬not_Queen said:a passionate community!

Depends, what killers do you have available?
For the base game Billy is probably the best choice.
He's fairly standard for the most part, 32m terror radius, 115 move speed etc but with his chainsaw he can sprint across the map and instadown.
Also Enduring is one of the best perks in the game. Makes pallet loops bearable since it shortens stuns but most importantly it counters decisive strike AKA that perk that shouldn't be in the game.
Other good perks - No one escapes death. Yeah opinion is divided but there's no doubt it's a very strong perk.
-
And yet....gens are going slower in all of my games.MhhBurgers said:@The_Crusader said:

I can use a stronger killer and without ruin its ping, ping, ping everytime you turn your back.
He has absolutely NOTHING to slow the game down, competent survivors will genrush the ######### out of you because they don't need to heal vs him. It's the opposite.
-
I'd love to know how they design the cosmetics.
The standard appearence for killers ranges from meh to good.
What you can buy in the store however is often fantastic.
Do they design the killer, then think of cool outfits?
Or do they designa few different looks and then save the best for the store? -
To be fair he's probably had a million survivors D/C on him.
They D/C right before their third hook anyway, so they screw themselves out of points.
Honestly seeing how many survivors throw a tantrum everytime you beat them I'm not surprised that killers are doing the same thing.

Feng: Kunochi outfit
Pros: Makes her look extemely badass
Balance issues: May result in baby killer tears -
The game is broken and janky as #########. Fair enough it was probably made on a low budget. I imagine we wouldn't see a lot of ######### fixed until a sequel comes along.
Still, it bugs me how the devs shrug off every broken thing in the game and say "it's a feature". A lot of ######### should have been fixed long ago but they're too afraid of the backlash. -
Lmao. Yeah because DBD has always been anti-survivor...Arsoul said:@The_Crusader said:
Anyone feel they're a bit too much?I rarely ever use them as survivor. Sometimes I'll burn one for haddonfield/springwood just because those maps are quite different to the rest. I don't seem them burnt that often either.
As killer however? It's ridiculous. Being forced to play a coldwind map for the 10th time that day. Always the claudettes that burn it too.
Its been bad always but just right now I had survivors burn coldwind offerings 2 games in a row. Its really starting to feel unfair. Those maps are the most survivor sided we all know this, but its also boring getting corn maps so many times in one night. Plus there's like 5 of them so they come up often enough anyway without the map offerings.
If it isnt coldwind then it will either be crotus penn due to the inside being pallet city, or a claudette burning macmillan.
Its just a bit much being asked to play the same maps over and over and over again.
So you got killers buffed and healing nerfed. Now your onto the next screw over survivors thing
Dont you think you've been given enough yet
How is it screwing survivors in any way? I haven't even asked for any changes ffs
Am I not allowed to be bored of playing the same few maps over and over again? There's close to 30 maps in the game, god forbid I want to play more than just 5 of them.
And for the record, this is survivors screwing over killers. Imagine if survivors had to play meat plant 10 times a day. -
But but people on here said nobody uses it anymore!! So it MUST be true!!azazer said:

Survivor gameplay? Try killer.
I made a post about this yesterday. Killer becomes so dull at high rank.
P3 Claudette's with sprint burst/dead hard, self-care, decisive strike, borrowed time
Nea's with balanced landing, self-care, urban evasion, adrenaline
Megs with sprint burst, self-care, adrenaline, unbreakable
You find them in a game and for every chase they run for the exact same window/loop every.single.time. then when caught they'll try to do 360's thinking they're cool or whatever.
It's so boring. The meta is just dull at this point. I'd love to see some other perks/characters in action. I'd love for survivors to try different loops during a game.

Dive over a pallet and dash for a hit....walk backwards to let them bleed out a bit....sounds like great design right there. it actually does. you don't have to walk backward, just look away, or let them run off, and break line of sight themselves. I choose to take a couple steps backwards, but it doesn't really help the process. Also, if the survivor doesn't run away, it counters the whole process, and you,as the killer, need to find a way to deal with it. I like it, it has counter play, and is using the chase mechanic in the game. Learn to adapt. Cote, is that you? But seriously if that's what you find fun, more power to you. It doesn't suit me though. Getting an easy hit and then cheesing the mechanics to make them blees out.
I prefer the "earn 2 hits" gameplay. That's absolutely fine :) Everyone likes different things. I happen to be a Hag main. So the 110 movement speed is just another tuesday for me. I don't think it's really cheesing though. that's the only thing that bothers me this, is how people think it's somehow abusing a game mechanic. It's no different then turning backwards at a jungle gym so the survivor doesn't see your red stain coming, ot using your red stain to bluff a bad window vault. Those are both techniques the community views as "high skill" why is it an exploit to let the survivor run away and break chase?
Probably because it's easy to get a frenzy hit with legion. Then just stalking them down while they need to mend....I dunno feels nasty man.
It is nasty. But less nasty then one hitting with a chainsaw. Also, there's a lot more counter play. especially when you get SWF in the mix.
NOTHING more annoying then someone timing there bleedout to land next to someone that picks them right up.
So lets go over this again, I might try it out later.
I hit them with frenzy, look away to get the timer ticking, then resume looking for them?
Won't that just pause the timer? Or do you let it bleed down a bit then frenzy hit them to deplenish it 100%? I know truetalent does this but he's using the purple add-on which I don't have.
Do I chase them at a distance to keep the timer ticking? And do I need stridor and bloodhoud to locate them again?
You you look away, and watch the meter, the moment it starts ticking down, you start following the bloodtrail. You don't need any of the purps, if you do it this way, it's 3 hit every time. The purps make it so you do not have to let them escape.
Try taking bloodhound. It makes tracking super easy. Also since most people wont heal, you can follow blood trails at gens when they try to stealth you. (since the blood trails last a good bit longer)
edited to add: You do need to understand how close you can get to them before the chase picks back up, but generally speaking, by the time you catch up, they have bled enough for it to be a 3 hit.

My spirit gets some well needed off time

I was also scared to use him at rank 1, due to all the hate. I'de be interested in hearing what perk builds you find useful.
Everyone knows bloodhound and stridor. But I've been having a ton of success with huntress' lullaby
I used this tactic. Kind of worked yeah. Felt a little nasty though lol they had no escape. They either stopped to mend and went down, or they ran away and went down.
I can't imagine it's too fun from the survivor side.
-
I think for balance his stun needs to stay, but boy is it getting exploited...
- I see Bill sneaking around looking for the hatch. Use frenzy to hit him, he runs away as I chase after him, hear the hatch, my frenzy ends and I take a stun while he runs free to jump in the hatch
- People jumping in lockers to avoid your frenzy, then when you take the stun they dive out (I got lucky and this numpty slow exited the locker)
- and in general Sprint Burst murders legion. It renders his frenzy worthless. You use it, they sprint burst away, you can't catch them and you take a stun. So, just force them to use their SB first right? well yeah, but they sprint burst and you walk after them at 4.4m/s and it takes forever to close the gap enough that you can finally use frenzy. Obviously SB is widely used so yeah not good for Legion
Just in general chasing people out of the exit gate. Watching them bodyblock. Legion is too slow to catch them and his frenzy can't stop them.
I've done good in some games but he still feels easily bullied in that he's absolutely worthless in certain scenarios just like Freddy was. -
Lmao wraith has to wait to uncloak, this gives the survivor time to get to a pallet.dezzmont said:People who say 115% speed would be OP don't understand killer design.
Legion would not be OP with default movespeed because his primary method of downing a survivor is M1ing. If you can't land a down with your power, you defacto need to be M1.
"But you could use his power to get the initial hit!"
You can do that with Wraith as well. No one is accusing Wraith of being good. Getting a free initial hit is not worth a slower move-speed.
Its not comparable to frenzy at all. -
God forbid killers feel fair.Orion said:@The_Crusader said:
Because most 115 killers have to earn 2 hits on survivors by catching them off guard or outplaying them.Legion is fast and can vault palletz, his first hit is basically free. He can run around and injure people very fast. Some don't heal against him.

To be honest what good would 4 people be anyway? It wouldnt. We dont need susie or joe.

I believe the idea there is, at least when there are other survivors left, its non-SWF survivors trying to figure out if its safe to leave, or if they'll need to run back in to try to save someone. If the killer shows up, then that means they AREN'T chasing the other survivors, so its likely safe to leave.
But if other survivors have exited, then it makes no sense. You know the other exit gate is open, and they're likely clear.
But in these cases there isnt. They just need me to see them leave.
They arent even teabagging or being toxic post game....its just of the utmost importance that I see them leave.
Strange. -
The thing is some of the costumes on the store are just pallet swaps.
They should just put them in the game and call them joe/susie.
People would still buy cosmetics for the better skins but they wouldn't feel as ripped off because they got the 4 people that were advertised over the past few weeks.
2 people is hardly a legion -
I agree. As solo survivor they just camp, then drag out the end game by slugging.

Swf survivor groups are the only fun thing left. Well killer can be ok but there are some ######### heads who ruin it for the rest.
