I’m not very petty.
But if a survivor gives me a good long chase, I hit them immediately after hooking them and say “good game”.
I usually message them the same no matter the outcome as well. -
They really do. It’s because of Freddy’s rep as “the worst killer”.TreemanXD said:@Tarvesh said:

Play the game correctly=All 4 survivors t-bag at the exit.We should play by their rules though. Right?????
Boy just wants a “legit” catch. Meaning he wants you to let him go, let him heal to full, let him HIDE, then chase and hit him two more times.
Next time you ask him why he needs all those crutches to survive. If he’s so good, he shouldn’t need to be healed or have mercy given to him. -

Apparently it is how some people play the game, though. But you can build up a salt pile!Eveline said:I disabled messages and friend requests on ps4. I'm sure that makes them so angry. No way to reach me with all the salt pent up. -

I disagree. The reason they’re so powerful is because of their mobility. But they would start to get in eachother’s way and see fewer survivors because a solid team of 8 would keep moving.Shad03 said:Nurse and Billy would be the undisputed Queen and King of the 2v8.

I will say this each and every time for those who say to remove Legion.
You should individually pay back each and every last person who purchased Legion. If you can do that, then I say fine, remove him. But you can't, so quit complaining and accept that Legion is in, and now I'll definitely run more Legion. Thanks

I’m very glad you like it!Captain_Spaulding said:I love the idea a lot, however please give more love to the Mark Hamill Joker as a lot of these ideas come from the animated tv show rather than the movie. Also, madness for madness' sake is kinda...idk...not broken but not really a good idea. Think about if I were to play him, I would just randomly swing around and force skillchecks out of the blue to find people. No need for any sort of tracking perk. I think that could be abused pretty easily. Or it could force gens get done faster because a lot of survivors are just great at hitting great skillchecks. Also, the survivor for his chapter would be Det. Gordon right? Or would you do Bruce Wayne?
If you you read the perk, just swinging would never activate the perk. It would simply reset it over and over because just swinging is the same action. The first action activates the perks, the second action (and those that follow it) is the different action that triggers the skill checks.
Most of these ideas come from the comic books. Joker has used all of the items I put in his kit into his kit in the comics before the animated series was ever a thing.
I was thinking that Barbara Gordon (pre Batgirl) might be a cool survivor since it would foreshadow what happens to her later on. -
An exploit is using a gameplay mechanic in order to subvert the intended design of the developers.
If a flashlight has to be in a certain spot during an animation to get its effect, then cancelling the animation by dropping the survivor’s is simply a counter to the flashlight. -
Yes. If they don’t have a single alternate by now, they never will.

) I like to run Monitor, BBQ, Save The Best, and either Fire It Up or Agitation. My add-ons are generally anything that decreases the cooldown and increases his speed. (So mainly Susie and Joey’s mixtapes.) Usually get 3 sacrifices, rarely 2, but I just love playing this character...They’re fun to play, at least for me, and I just love their design. :chuffed: -
Freddy and Doctor.
Their playstyles seem to really click with me.
I know how to manipulate people with Freddy to pull them out of hiding so that I can put them in the dream state more often. I usually use Nurse’s Calling, Ruin, Dying Light, and either BBQ or Surveilance. A mix of slow down and awareness to let me always be on top of survivors.
Addons that slow down survivor actions and make skill check less likely are what I primarily try to use to make it more difficult to escape the dream state.
Doctor allows me to keep more awareness of my surroundings and keep people moving so they’re not on the generators as much. Nurses’s Calling, Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Distressing. A little mix of awareness, slow down, and making my presence larger (which gives me more and more awareness).
Addins that make increasing madness levels faster are mostly what I use in order speed up my map awareness. -
No. When I see 4 P3 Claudette’s all with toolboxes/flashlights pop up at the same time, I’m dodging. I’m not wasting addons and offerings so I can be trolled an entire game.
-
The first bird appears after 60 seconds. If you can’t sneak your way away from a killer after a full minute, you are doing something very wrong.
The Stillness crows are a way of punishing. Splaying for literally doing nothing.
They’re fine. -
Maybe make it so you can escape if you’re injure. Seeing as how getting hurt is what helps to wake you up from dreaming, it could provide a (metaphorical) window for you to escape from.
Or maybe only if you’ve been hooked?
Or there could be exits in different spots that can only be opened and accessed through the dream state while the regular gates aren’t accessible to you?
Freddy does seem to need a little help at the end game. -

Looking good so far! If you want a dingy look tonit, find some brown wash paint (typically used on painting miniature models).
Pour it on a rough sponge or fine sand paper and touch up area of the mask. It help stain and texture the mask at the same time. -
It’s called map awareness. None of his other traps went off, there was only one solid ‘safe’ gen to be on, so he went there.
-
If there’s no such thing as gen rushing then there’s no such thing as tunneling.
”Gen rushing is what you’re supposed to do”.
Well, killing survivors as quickly and efficiently as possible what you’re supposed to do as well.
They can deal with it. -
It is indeed!JoyfulLeader said:Wait, is the perk "The most dangerous game" named after the book?
-
I completely forgot about the name. LOL! The perk is individually based, though. So it only looks at how many totems the survivor who cleanses the totem has cleansed, not how many totems have been cleansed in total during the match. Not sure if that was clear or not.BastardKing said:Good work, but Thrill of the Hunt is already a hex totem. Also, the actual perk may last too long. An 18 second aura reveal is a bit OP.
Would you suggest having the effect stack per survivor in a dying state (ie If two survivors are in the dying state it increases the radius twice), or so long as a survivor is in the dying state you get the increase in radius?BastardKing said:
The Most Dangerous Game is too OP. The previous Predator only lasted 3 seconds, and distressing doesn't raise the terror radius by as much, and that is all it does. . I would instead make it "While a survivor is in the dying start, you gain X benefits". -
Love the idea and the perks. There may be a few balancing issues with The Shadow. Do you need direct line of sight? Do you just have to be within range and behind a wall? Etc.
Also, and this is just a me being a HUGE Thing fan; MacReady didn’t defeat the Thing. Either he Childs was the creature in the end (Carpenter has never said which onenit was but he did say one of them is the creature). One of them eventually dies, and the Thing simply goes back into hibernation waiting for a team to come and investigate the area. -
You forgot that killer’s can no longer run almost every obsession based perk except Remember Me because DS now resets the progress on all the others; it literally counts multiple perks with every single use.ThePeeje said:Counter: Unbreakable
If this happens enough, killers wont slug.
Plus slugging is detrimental to most killers at most levels when all 4 are alive.Plus if this perk is so weak, then not many people will run it. Which means if a killer slugs you thinking you have DS, bit actually you have Unbreakable instead, then they kjust ruined their flow and momentum for no reason!
So let me explain whats gonna happen. Not many people will use DS. Itll probably be present once in every 2 games. Killers wont worry about it too much. Theyll just play as normal, get hit by it, and in some rare cases, the survior will escape at the end of a match. In most cases, DS will cause some momentum loss to the killer half way into the game, allowing survivors to save and heal someone else on a hook.
Its like NOED. Even though so many killers have NOED, still, so rarely do survivors cleanse all totems. Itll be the same for killers. They would be dumb to assume everyone has DS.
DS not only wastes a killer’s time even more, rewards them for their bad play, but ALSO completely counters entire killer builds (and low ranked killers entirely with only those perks available) up to four times in a single game.
Fair and balanced. -
Monto
I can almost tolerate Tru3talent but he can get kind of boring because he puts basically no emotion into his streams. Pretty bland.
Space coconut is ok. He needs to work on his presentation more and stop schilling his store for the first full quarter of his videos. -
And let’s not forget that it now hard nerfs basically every single Obsession based killer perk by resetting them every time you get hit with DS.Caretaker said:Ah yes. Don't go for the injured survivor cuz you're all entitled children who think you DESERVE to live. You mess up I'm going to kill you. That's my job. This is a huge buff. 4 people can now reliably run DS. They're now safe for 60s. Slugging got hard nerfed. You can no longer Dribble. God survivor mains are inept.
-
It’s almost like you can’t correlate adding DS and a multi-perk reset ability being combined together makes it OP/buff.fluffybunny said:@Tarvesh said:
I completely agree. This DS change wasn’t a nerf. It was an extreme buff.Adding a caveat doesn’t stop it from being able to reward a survivor for losing a chase. But making it so that it essentially wipes almost every obsession perk a killer can have up to four times a game just cranked up it power dozens of times over.
If it wasn’t OP before, it sure as hell is now.
I don't know how anyone thinks it's a buff. Have you never faced DS in a match? Most end up leaving the survivor on the ground 'cause they don't want to mess with it or they juggle if they can manage it. A lot will even avoid chasing after a survivor as it's a free escape. With a caveat, it's no longer free. Certain circumstances have to play out for you to be able to use it now. That's like saying Unbreakable is OP 'cause it gives you a free up, but the killer left the person on the ground. They could have not and that perk would be useless. It also counters an annoying aspect of the game, especially in solo play. Being that person who's tunneled off hook because either people can't do good saves or the killer assumes you're in a SWF and wants to punish that sucks. Having something that counters being downed after being unhooked in bad places is great. You don't need to tunnel the survivor. If you don't wait around the survivor, you won't see DS at all. If you wait around the survivor, you'll only see it if you decide to take out the easier target, rather than the one who did the save. It's like some people don't know what "OP" and "buff" means.
Changing the obsession will be weird, though. I say it's not needed.
Comprehension is hard, I know. It’s ok. -

It’s stronger now than before. Still does the same thing but with a caveat, but it can now reset killer obsession perks up to 4 times a game. They buffed the ever loving ######### out it.

Dying Light
- The active Obsession has the altruistic action speed bonus while they are alive.
- If the active Obsession is killed, Dying Light's de-buff is applied to all remaining survivors.
- If, at some point in the trial, another player becomes the Obsession, Dying Lights de-buff will be removed as the Obsession is considered alive again.
So you hard nerfed Dying Light And basically every other obsession based killer perk in the game. Good to know. -
Probably go through a detailed bug fixing spree.
Institute rank rewards at the end of the season (because without them rank means nothing).
Add something to help fix the end game.
Work on dedicated servers with end goal being cross platform play.
Then introduce 2v8 mode and possibly 2v16 but the survivors are split into teams and also have to compete against other survivor teams for resources.
-
You need to add a section for “too many questions about the change of obsession to make a decision”.

I’m curious how this will effect perks like Dying Light. What happens if you’ve already killed the obsession?
Do you get to kill the new obsession and double the debut or does the debut gonaway till you kill the NEW obsession?
What about things like Play With Your Food? Or ones that stack when you hit yournibsession? Do the stacks go away when a new survivor becomes the obsession, or do they stay and you can get even more stacks? -
Cleansing Fire
I like that the killer can’t stay in the fire permanently, but I would increase his speed while he’s in his fire some more. Seems like it would spur him in n some more.
Disparity
Seems interesting. Looks like it might be situational, though. If no one brings an item you’ll have to hope they get one out of a toolbox.
Vendetta
This seems like it was meant to be a Hex perk. If not, it probably should be since it depends on totems to be effective.
Impending Violence
Seems like it can shorten a game if you’re having a bad one. I’m betting it will have some interesting uses to n killer’s like Freddy or Pig. -
Would you think maybe 5 or 10 skill checks and the flame spits a spark that does the same thing as the final generator flame at the person who activated the skill check that activated it?Raptorrotas said:I can understand that the normal lunge attack can seem dull, but its in the basekit. Yet there can be a first for everything.
But I still think your Killer doesnt really have a M2 Ability.
The foxfires feel like a bonus to simply kicking generators, so i thought its applied not with the ability button but by "kicking" a generator when you have atleast 1 fire with you. But i found out why I think of your foxfires as a bit on the weaker side, they only activate when the generator is DONE and only for 1 person.
This means this can only trigger 5 times in a round, which should make you consider somehow triggering it more often, like every X skillchecks on a generator.
Kind of a unique weapon, no? XDRaptorrotas said:Btw like that second picture more because its more stylized imo. but yeah i guess this COULD actually work in DBD. Btw now i finally understand what you meant with "Mask on a stick"-weapon lol

EDIT: Added a more thorough reply to Raptorrotas.
-
I think this is a pretty good compliment and I’ll take it! LOL! I like game mechanics that make everyone have to think a bit more and second/third guess themselves.Raptorrotas said:Nice concept, and interesting in a way i cannot predict how strong they would be without a ptb, haha.
I mentioned in one of my other replies on another Killer Creation, but I feel like a lunge attack has been done to death and is pretty stale game design now. The delayed damage is to give the survivor a choice; take the hit or pass the hit along.Raptorrotas said:Not a fan of the delayed damage on the normal lunge attack. That couldve been used like a pig ambush or freddy tag instead. Afterall we have more than one button for killer abilities.
It also makes SWF a bit more complex because younhave to ask who can take the hit or can you coordinate enough take keep the hit from going off but also keeping you from completely focusing on objectives.
I’m of a fan of delay mechanics as well. This was a fun way to implement one that meshed wel with the character’s concept.
I did consider making the skillchecks more difficult, but we have killer’s and perks that do that already. I figured a killer who threw more skillchecks at a survivor could mix in perks that would make the checks more difficult.Raptorrotas said:
The foxfire seems interesting but only good against people who're not doing skillchecks in their sleep. I think harder skillchecks or modified skillchecks (like ruin) might be a better choice than simply more skillchecks.
Placing the foxfires as wards somewhere or sending them after survivors like homing projectiles could be useable alternatives.
I also considered using them as wards but I figured people would simply avoid the bright blue flame sitting somewhere. So I decided to place them on generators and give the effect of both a blessing and a trick to go with the killer’s concept.
I thought about making. The fire a projectile and giving it the same effects on an individual basis, but then have it spread to a new survivor of survivors got too close. But there was no way to guarantee it would happen.
In the end, I settled on the generator idea because it would serve as a way to help watch objectives at different skill levels. Low skilled survivors would likely avoid the generators with the flame, allowing you to patrol the ones you haven’t marked. High skilled survivors might likely risk the benefits over the skill challenges, thus allowing you to focus on the generators you marked. This seemed like the more tactical and fun variation in my opinion.Raptorrotas said:Ive skimmed over the backstory which i normally ignore completely and yeah, seems useable (I'm not to critisize others stories when i never did one myself).
But I honestly doubt a cute foxgirl waifu OR an anthropomorphic fox would fit into dbd's aesthetics without turning her into a monstrosity first ( sorry but only got your image to work with here)
It was mostly a lack of scary looking kitsune art to be honest. So I went with what looked easiest to use just as an example. But I thought I would show you what the original image I had picked out for the killer was:
I went with the one in the OP because it looked a bit more evil. But those were my best options when looking around for a good image.
Thank you very much for you feedback! If the explanations for my choices helped and let you think of ways I could balance the character better, I would love to hear more from you! -
Sorry for the delay about responding. Thanks very much for the feedback.BastardKing said:Whole idea is good. I really like Light of the Loa. It should count dull totems as hex totems though, otherwise, thrill of the hunt would reveal which ones are and aren't real when the lit dull totems don't have the debuff.
Wouldn’t this be good for the Killer to at least know which one is the real one while the survivors have to guess? Or does that make it too imbalanced?
