3 original realms with no main building map (Shelfter wood, wreck yard, rot field) should be deleted.
Those are basically the same map with different environment
Mmph, Rotten fields is pretty gross to play on as some killers, and Wreckers Yard is pretty balanced, but Shelter Woods is the polar opposite of Rotten Fields in that it's just 99% deadzones and T-L walls. RF and SW going wouldn't be an issue, but I honestly think that WY is the only Autohaven map that is balanced in the slightest.

Is Scott Jund a dbd overlord because whenever he has an opinion people always praise it as the right one instead of having their own.
The only issue with spirit is the standing still mind game, other than that she's fine.
It's more a case of him saying things that others already believe, but making the case more coherently for them.
I have plenty of things I disagree with him on, but this? He's 100% correct.
Also I'd add on that @gibblywibblywoo makes a good point, too. Of course both he and Otz have a bias that will at times show, but they try to be more objective about it even so.

I have never seen it as an issue in the first place. But I can totally imagine that some players are more motivated to stay in the Trial, when they dont have to break their Spacebar or Controller. Let alone that spamming Struggle was annoying and at least for me the main reason why I did not like to be hooked two times.
I still think the skillchecks are pointless, tbh. With how laggy and inconsistent skillchecks can be, I've found that toward the point where it gets smaller, people frequently miss the skillchecks and have found myself a couple of times 'failing' them when I've clearly timed it correctly. I'd rather the ridiculous mashing than that tbh.
-
It never was. They need to change it so that it is an option, however. As right now if I get first hooked and there's only one survivor left, it takes about a minute for me to die if I want to give them a chance at an escape...

To be fair, you dont know why those persons are banned, because the ban-worthy posting will be deleted as well.
This, tbh. A lot of people I've seen that have been jailed of banned were clearly on their way to being aggressive, etc, so I can't say I doubt there are reasons.

Survivor mains are definitely getting more entitled. It's perfectly okay for them to tryhard but the moment a killer does the same they're a scumbag. Many think Wraith is unfair and unfun. They defend all of their perks and constantly ######### about their opponents, and they pretend that killers are the ones that always have the advantage and completely.ig prong the stress and difficulty of playing killer.
Killer mains are pretty much the same, whining about genrushing when they don't even know the meaning of the term and using predatory tactics that only work agaisnt solo teams then bitching about SWF.
Both sides are more and more entitled as time goes on, tbh.
How dare a killer chase me when I'm doing a gen in his face!?
How dare a survivor outplay me in a mindgame at an unsafe loop!?
Meanwhile I'm here like, play as you'd want your opponent to play. Don't be a dick. (Unless they were already a dick themselves, in which case it's a free for all)

A nerf to Legion is a nerf to Legion, an already weak Killer.
Not really a good argument, tbh. I agree with OP that this is something that really needs changing, Legion existing or not, and have also in the past (in fact I made one post about this just last week) suggested plenty of buffs to Legion.
-
Most of the time they're fine, however laggy survivors and tall grass can both make it appear noone has run past an area.
Sometimes, they cover too large a radius too, which completely throws killers at times.
-
Been complaining about this since long before map reworks. if I'm in deep wounds and still being chased, the red stain becomes invisible and I can barely see where I am. This isn't a case of 'git gud' or 'just mend' because stopping to mend for even a moment is going to get you killed and allow the timer to go down a fair bit given the server issues.
This is, of course, given the fact that DW is not meant to be a threat. It's meant to be a minor nuisance at most, and even then, it is most often seen when a killer is attempting to tunnel someone. Rewarding someone for tunnelling a player by making said player's ability to see non-existent, makes no sense. Especially seeing as it now happens earlier than it did before (bad compensation nerf)

At that point as killer, I farm with the rest. But that's just me. I don't expect killers to do that, but I just don't want to face survivors who are at an unfair disadvantage. I've met some pretty cool survivors thanks to that, though.
I generally end up playing with my food, so to speak. Giving survivors plenty of chances so I get more chases in, etc, because I find it really boring to 'win' without having done many chases.
-
I don't see the issue, tbh. He gets the job done just fine.

They’re being more transparent than they’ve ever been before, and you’re complaining?!
What’s wrong with a little mystery?! What’s wrong with having fun on speculating what some of these future concepts, and features might be?!
And what exactly are these yet to be fixed problems you are talking about? The game is in a great, healthy state right now, and all but the most complex bugs are fixed very quickly in regular hot fixes throughout the year.
I'm going to look at The Twins, Blight's slam hitboxes and the ever-degrading state of optimisation for a game that was released 5 years ago...and that's ignoring badly balanced/thought out killers that are a mixture of weak and frustrating to play against due to lack of meaningful counterplay, etc.
I do agree their extra transparency in the anniversary stream was refreshing, but they have ignored a ton of problems for a very long time.

Victim blaming before its even happened. Nice.

Right now, yes, there is a bug where if a survivor previously had their Deep Wounds timer depleted (whether by natural means, or through the use of Frank's Mix Tape), hitting the unhooked survivor while they are still in the animation of being unhooked, will instantly down them.
This is very serious, and needs to be fixed.
That explains it. Earlier, they'd fallen down when healing someone else with Deep Wounds status active.

No he can't. There are too many things in the way for it to be viable.
If you're referring to Haddonfield, Blight most certainly can play Haddonfield. it's still a chore, however. If you're talking about Hawkins as it looks like you may be, I agree 100%. Every doorway in indoor maps makes his power unusable.
@JimbusCrimbus Idk what game you've been playing, but Lery's doesn't have endless safe vaults...it hasn't for a very, very long time.
-
@latigresa said:
Indoor maps are killer sided in general. Even weaker killers do better on indoor maps. A lot of players, regardless of role, just refuse to learn those maps and it shows.
It's more an issue that it isn't fun; people pick a killer for their power and if they don't get to use it then where is the fun in that, regardless of a win?
-
Ngl, some of these reworked maps are going to need looking at again, because right now it's either a load of safe setups in a row and deadzones or a ton of unsafe pallets with large deadzones, with the exception of the Game which is endless safe pallets, but also just as many random dead-ends that get survivors killed.
Also speaking of weirdly safe pallet setups...I had groaning storehouse yesterday; there was a triple pallet loop on one side of the shack, and 90 degrees from that, there was a double pallet loop, and the rest of the map was T-L walls. It basically meant I had to do one insanely annoying chase and the rest were painfully easy. That crap needs to stop.

It's not a bad perk, but I just don't think it's pivtol to the point where I encounter it in every match.
It's not even a fun perk either Imo.
I encounter it a ton, and it often carries killers. When I run it, most games it carries me by making it easier to find a survivor before a gen has even been touched because I got a lucky spawn. Although I only really run it on Plague because while she's P3, I haven't bothered to get all perks on her yet. Too many millions of BPs when I have other killers I enjoy playing more.
-
Game. It's smaller and while there are more pallets and some are obnoxiously strong, there are a ton of dead-ends that give killers free downs. Haddonfield is both awfully balanced in terms of window and loops and in terms of map size; it's gigantic.
-
Corrupt is an incredibly powerful perk and those claiming it's bad don't know how to utilise it properly, tbh.
But, some maps do cause it to have bad spawns...however, those maps are generally much smaller and as such, its purpose isn't even necessary. It's just a bandaid perk for big maps however can become very oppressive on the more balanced maps in terms of size, which is problematic, imo. No idea how to fix it.
That said, it's insane how often spawns bug and cause the survivors spawn separately on gens randomly dotted around the map, and Corrupt also serves to minimise this issue, too, since this alone on a map like Disturbed Ward or Mount Ormond Resort can net an almost auto-loss if the killer gets unlucky in these large maps.

Title. People are learning to play him now that he isn't buggy and doesn't have ankle cam. As the Killer plyers get better with him, Survivors will start getting brutally crushed and eventually he will be as hated as any other common, reasonably-strong Killer.
This is how the DbD gameplay cycle goes:
- Killer comes out and is trash-tier
- Killer gets forgotten for six months to a year
- Killer gets buffed
- Killer players start playing and get good.
- Survivors decide they hate the Killer because Survivors can't stand losing. Killer gets nerfed and is never played again.
- Another old Killer gets buffed back to relevance and a new Trash Tier Killer is released or created from overnerfing.
- Repeat step 1
Blight had huge issues on the PTB and needed some buffs/bug fixes.
Blight was broken on release and had to be nerfed.
He has since been regarded as balanced and fun for both sides.
And then a bug came to be that removed counterplay.
In removing this bug, they actually made people who abused this bug have an even easier time doing what shouldn't be possible, by accident, thus further removing counterplay against those who abuse said mechanic.
He's going to be awful to face soon as a result, but he's super fun otherwise.

I'm super excited for the reveal, but I've only actually played RE 2 Remake and RE 7, and I haven't even finished either. Considering those are the only two I've played, I'm def hoping the killer will turn out to be either Mr. X or Jack Baker, both of which I'm immensely curious to see how Bhvr might go about adapting them into the game.
For survivors, I'm really hoping for either Chris, Leon or Ethan, especially Leon, largely because I feel like we've been getting a lot of female survivors lately, and I'd love to see another dude in the game. I have a sneaking suspicion the survivor may end up being Claire, Ada or Jill.
We know for a fact we're getting a male survivor if the teaser is anything to go by, but it doesn't mean just one, and when it comes to RE, it makes sense to have two thanks to how those games work, tbh.
-
It's weird because they imply the mansion from RE1 with some of the hints in the teaser we got, but the male seems not to be..masculine enough to be Chris.
It's more likely to be Leon since he's very popular and if we get a second survivor, I suspect it'll be either Jill or Claire (I hope Claire, tbh)
As for the killer, I'm expecting the name 'The Tyrant' however there are a few characters it could be. Wesker, for example, Nemesis (which is probably the most well known Tyrant thanks to the movie franchise) or even Mr. X, who is also pretty popular and subject to a ton of memes thanks to the RE2 remake the other year.

Wasting your time. Survivors have never and will never care about fairness. They just want easy games, easy wins and a clown with a rubber knife to entertain them and be their punching bag. Don't try to use logic with them.
May want to actually think about your claim. This is a killer main that wants easy wins, which also seems to be half of the forum, tbh.
-
They overbuffed him, that's all. Now every time he cloaks it's a free hit and he gets to come out of nowhere thanks to the 'true invisibility' factor. I really think they should revert the invisibility buff and see how that goes.
-
I use Reshade, but literally just to slightly filter and improve the look of the game. Because at base, I think it looks trasssh, especially with the new reworks making the maps look all the same/generic.
Didn't even know you could do this using that software, #########?
I know of a couple of streamers I end up against regularly that do this kind of thing, especially the stretched res, and it just feels gross to realise that they're doing this while also abusing bugs that remove limitations intentionally designed into the game for balance reasons.
-
That suggfeston as to how one should play against spirit just gives her a free down in less than 20 seconds...lmfao
-
- Spirit was always much more problematic than Freddy, but both are awful designs;
- I'm yet to see a single one, tbh. I haven't even seen hate toward specific killers in weeks on these forums.
@Northener1907 Slinger definitely needs changes, but not just straight nerfs. I've suggested plenty of changes that would make him both play and feel better while also serving to remove the aspects of his kit that are straight bullshit in the past.

Billy had his add-ons nerfed. His power is basically the same.
Twins are no different. A two second cooldown on a successful down is not a major nerf.
While I agree, it wasn't the right nerf. The issue is the lack of punishment for messing up despite it being ridiculously easy to hit pounces; (compare this to Legion, for example) not the fact they can keep going when successful.

Honest question - don't take offense - but why do so many people watch these DBD streamers instead of just playing the game themselves? To each their own, I'm not saying it's "bad", I just never understood why someone who's interested in a game would rather just watch someone else play it when they could be having the fun instead.
Personality and to learn from them/their mistakes. It's how I learnt the tricks when I was new.
This video doesn't really make any real point, though.

Is object of obsession still considered toxic?
Some likely will still consider it so, but honestly it being on a timer makes for some pretty interesting and hilarious gameplay for both sides, I found while testing it out. Once or twice it saved me from being 'mindgamed' somewhere I had no information. In other cases, it's gotten me caught when hiding near a downed survivor who is under a pallet, or gotten me seen as a killer comes by just at the timing it would go off and I'm stealthing in order to make distance before they might see my scratches.
If I see it in my games as killer, I'm not going to complaining; it's meme in a genuinely fun way. That said, not been lucky enough to go against it just yet.

"An Escape" this implies one person escaping, not all four, this is just indicating that 49% of people that used DS escaped.
It's not even that; it's 49% of games that had at least one player running DS had an escape.
-
Useless without context of ranks, killers used against, if the perk was actually successfully used, etc. You'll usually find that if it was used, you probably died anyway unless it was EGC. Even then, it's dependent on teams.
It's in addiiton to this, the survival rate is overall of the games where this perk is used by at least one person...what is the actual survival rate of someone running this at rank 1-4? We don't know.
Also I love how they admitted that this data is starting a whole month before the patch in which it was nerfed; disingenuous way of pretending the exact change it got was fine. They think we're stupid, what a disappointment.

Mostly survivorr sided:
- A lot of survivor sided maps (The Game, Ormond, Haddonfield, all Springwood, all Coldwind, all Crotus Prenn, Azarov's Resting place, Suffocation pit).
- No nerfed keys despite their counterpart have been nerfed (Moris).
- Gens done too quickly.
- A lot of second change perks.
- SWF.
While I agree both were problematic, moris and keys were not counterparts. One literally let the game be decided in a minute if the killer was so inclined to play that way, and whenever a mori was used, that is exactly what they would do.
Meanwhile survivors have to have actually done their objective quite a bit in order to be able to use keys. No, I'm not saying they're fair, but definitely more fair than old moris were and the BS part of it was for a different reasoning altogether.
Wait I just realised you think that Azarov's Resting Place is survivor sided when it's literally the most killer sided map in the game...one side is deadzones while the killer can just keep an easy 3 gen and not even need to interact with the other side of the map. Sometimes, 4 gens spawn on one side. Like...???

Neither, anyone that says otherwise is one sided. Way too much RNG and other factors to tell if it's survivor or killer sided.

Actually it is neither. There are no "sides" because there are just good sports and bad sports. Most Players play both roles. The false dichotomy of "us versus" them is not productive or accurate. There are just good sports and bad sports. People who get salty after a match are simply evidencing bad sportsmanship. It doesn't matter what happened during the match, getting salty is the wrong way to go. The only thing a PLAYER has to do to be a good sport in Dead by Daylight is:
- Don't cheat, either by hack or lag spike.
- Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
- Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
What role a bad sport was playing during the match is entirely irrelevant to anything.
While I'd be inclined to agree, those of us that play both sides are more inclined to be good sports about it because they moreso understand where someone's actions are coming from when it was reasonable.
