I wonder why on other games I change resolution and I see exactly the same but not on this game
Yeah, this game has some wild issues that just don't make sense lol

@Shroompy said:
Last change was much better than what we had before, but still needs improvements (Mainly ghost hits)
I find laggy killers still get the hits through stuns meanwhile if a survivor is over 80 ping, I'll hit them before they drop the pallet, they'll go to the ground/do full animation and SFX for being hit, then stand up and run off with the stun lmao so I definitely agree a lot of work needs to be done.
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Hit validation, no it's done basically nothing
Pallet validation, yes it's glorious. Hits through pallets are still entirely possible + when I'm back from college I can get some clips as proof, but as survivor as it feels nice not being chucked because someone from Argentina VPN'd over
Hard agree.

I kind of notice how much it helps while playing Wraith. So I vaguely agree. But at the same time, I do not necessarily want a killer on me 5 seconds after the game starts either.
Lethal Pursuer already exists for that lol

Simple workaround: Lower your MMR by not using the META perks and not using strong items/add-ons.
(You will start to lose more this way and your MMR will go down.)
I literally use flashbang and blast mine for meme plays and don't bring items in 90% of the time but am consistently 'at the top' lol and tbh only one meta survivor perk is unfair for killer, (that is, carries survivors) imo. A perk I don't use for that reason.

why do everyone think consoles can't play stretched
Many people don't realise that you don't need PC software in order to change the resolution of the hardware you're using to see the game.
And tbf, it isn't necessarily obvious.
-
While I do think stretched res needs to be dealt with (only way is for the devs to make it so that changing resolution doesn't literally change FOV and idk how easy that is in all honesty) this imo isn't that big an issue given how most times he's so laggy you can't even begin to reveal him half the time lol. Literally had multiple games recently where he's dead centre in my screen, I even tested by walking up right against him, and no sound or anything.
-
It'll likely still happen, tbh.

LOL are you trolling?
let's go down the list here
CORRUPT sir, runs out. Then you have 3 perks the rest of the match. You just hide
RUIN can get turned off in the first 10-30 seconds of a match and if you have undying same thing. then you're down to 2 perks for the rest
Tinkerer isn't strong on a lot of killers, some take advantage but 70% survivors are gonna rather get ripped off to finish most of the time
AND POP got nerfed. a quote from ALMO or someone said "killers have to much time to hold pop" so it went from 60 seconds to 45 seconds for absolutely no reason. It made it worse if anything. Thier statement is ironic becuase there's stronger perks that do the same for survivor at the time i.e before DS got nerfed.
Tbf, I'm all for a nerf to Corrupt. The other perks they mention are fair and have some pretty fun perks to counter them, to boot, however!

@Crowman said:
Dead Hard doesn't cover a lot of distance as it is. It's a very short range dash.
Like I get how it can be annoying playing against multiple dead hards, but compared to every other exhaustion perk the distance the perk gives isn't much.
This doesn't really mean much seeing as you have control over when the distance will come and the killer has literally no way to counter it. It breaks so many loops and undoes so many mistakes.

@SkeletalElite said:
Depends on where you are in MMR, at High MMR levels you might actually start to see them since they are a decently strong killer that just feels awful to play and play against.
Twins problem isnt a balance one, it's a fun one.
After you down someone with victor, victor has a 5 second stun, then you have a 2 second stun when you wake up charolette to go hook them for a staggering 7 second stun after you down someone with victor unless you're just playing like a slug lord, which feels completely awful to play.
What I think they should do with twins is:
Allow you to switch back to charolette during the stun after a pounce with victor.
Reduce the time it takes for charolette to wake up from 2 seconds to 1 or 1.5 base kit.
They should lower the stun time after hitting a survivor with victor to 4 seconds. They should raise the miss to 4 seconds (hit and miss is now the same)
They should make it so if victor is within the no swap range of a hook after you hook a survivor he dies to prevent victor camping.
Victor should have a longer cooldown when crushed on miss, like 12-15 seconds. If he dies on the environment, due to hook proximity, or was crushed after hitting a survivor, or was detached from a survivor, he has the regular 6 seconds
This should make playing as and against the twins feel less awful.
H0onestly this. I've always said they need to punish messing up, not doing well, but instead they give you multiple chances but punish you for succeeding. its nonsensical!
-
I hope not.

No one is pathetic for doing something you don’t like that isn’t breaking the rules in a video game.
Idk, intentionally going out of your way to make sure the other side is bored out of their mind when they're trying to play a game for fun, but would be punished for opting to leave with a ban, is definitely pathetic.
-
The majority certainly are, but man, the good ones...I love them. It makes for such exciting and intense gameplay. <3
-
If you aren't abusing his broken TR as the best stealth killer in the game by using Monitor & Abuse, you're throwing. ;) STBFL is another top pick for him.
Otherwise, it's down to personal taste, but I recommend some form of gen protection Such as Corrupt Intervention/Pop Goes The Weasel since while he's oppressive to go against, he severely lacks in map pressure.
Reload speed and and mending time add-ons are insane on him, too.
If you're running M&A as I suggested, you may also want to run Sloppy Butcher since survivors will almost definitely want to heal to avoid you appearing out of nowhere for a free hit.

Maybe i didn't write it the most elegant way, are we all going to the ash grade when it comes out then ?
We've been told previously that we'd reset to the bottom rank every rank reset, so I'd presume that when the update comes, we should all go down to Ash IV.
I'm a bit confused as to when the update comes; I thought it was next Tuesday, if so, rank reset is likely to be held off until that day since it would be the 14th. If this week, then we may not actually be reset until rank reset, since it wouldn't make sense to reset twice in the space of a week.

Wait, do we now want to be able to spot him from across the map again?
In the context of the other buffs he got, this one put him over the top. We either keep the buffs we all wanted him to have, or we lose the one that broke him and now allows him to be ridiculous cheesy and boring/frustrating to go against.
-
Just nerf all-seeing and remove the 'true invisibility' buff that he got, and we're good to go.

They explicitly said that MMR is not based on kill/escape rate
No, they explicitly avoided saying what it's about and the latest update implies at the very least an incredibly heavy weighting on it.

I am...not.
Survivor was fun. Decent teammates and decent Killers.
Killer was miserable.
For me, the few games I got, I was going against clearly experienced kilelrs with teammates that didn't know how to last more than 5 seconds in chase or hold M1...which tbh, is exactly what the game is already like lol.
I didn't get to test as killer as I then had PC issues (that resulted from the trash that is EAC) for a week or so after. :(

Okay so I'm for it because I think it'll help put solo q massively.
I'm against it because at the start I'm going to be getting incredibly sweaty games on my mains because of how much I play this game, and in order to keep playing relaxed and casually without needing to sweat all the time I'm going to have to go on a large losing streak as killer.
I'm for it because it will enable me to play killers I don't normally play, like Oni, and finish off my achievement collection.
I'm against it because where I'm supposed to be is with the sweat Lords according to my skill, but not my playstyle, and where I'm supposed to be is not fun. It is not fun to face Blight 30 times in a day with no build variety, solo or otherwise, and have teammates who just bang out gens as I'm attempting to have fun with Head On.
I'm for it because it will enable the devs to look at balancing some of the more extremes, as well as finding which perks are most effective vs solos and nerf them into the ground because solo stomping perks shouldn't exist in this game.
I'm against it because I know this is BHVR, I saw the ######### Small Game change, and after that I know that no balancing around solos will ever happen.
Got to agree here, but I also must add that what we've gotten in the dev update also heavily suggests that their metric of skill is entirely based on kill/survival rates. As we all should know well: it's incredibly shortsighted to use only this metric, or even have a particularly high weighting on such, given the way the game works.
-
Too much RNG and just as I knew would happen, they've based it entirely on kill/survival rate, which is pretty much the worst metric you can use in this game.
I don't want to have to sweat every game as either role. I like to run around and meme around the killer, or play around with the survivors rather than trying to delete them ASAP. My experience with SBMM was awful, even on the last test.
-
I'm not a sweat. I don't want it.
-
It's awful design, but not bannable.

Man, that build sounds like so much fun to be honest. I kind of want to try it. I do not have Legion, but honestly, he would almost make it overkill. Lol. I might try it on Micheal or something because it would remind me of how durable he tends to be in the Halloween franchise. He is no Jason, but he is the best we got.
I don't play Michael much outside of dailies but yeah I can see this build being really fun with him for sure :D

Fire up is such a good perk. It's like bamboozle on crack!
It really is, plus the pickup speed throws off flashlight saves to the point that if I've let a couple of gens go I'll intentionally pick up in front of people waiting to save, lmao

I love Iri button + duration with spirit fury/enduring and fire up and brutal strength on Legion.
memey steam roll build :D

My trouble with BT is the freshly unhooked survivor bodyblocking the rescuer.
That's not "working as intended", I'm trying not to tunnel but you're not letting me do that.
BT would be better if it gave the unhooked survivor no collision.
I mean it helps with the issue where a killer gatekeeps to guarantee a down if someone tries to save, so it still most definitely is doing its job the majority of the time. It had its duration reduced when it wasn't really necessary to compensate for finally working against Oblivious and Undectable statuses effects, and that was more than enough of a change to counter the issue you're talking about anyway.

LMFAO
"It needs to counter tunneling, rather than give me immunity and waste the Killer's time."
What, EXACTLY, do you want DS to do??? LOLLLL...
...counter tunneling. Actually work when being tunneled, rather than punishing a player who plays well while being tunneled directly off the hook with being deactivated by the time they're picked up.
But do go off. (:
-
No. If anything, it's too weak for its actual purpose. It needs to actually be able to counter tunneling rather than a perk that one can use for immunity to waste a killer's time.

Whataboutism isn't helpful.
I'm just as sick of Corrupt (idk about the other two perks) as the OP but also believe DH shouldn't exist.
If you have problems with BT as killer, then it's doing its intended job, and should stay as is. And Iron Will only really allows for mindgames.
And DS is useless at even doing its job right now, so how you can complain about seeing such a rare perk is obscene...and Adrenaline awards doing well, so idk what to say about that one lol (I'd love to see more perks like devour for killer that reward them for playing well rather than for doing badly which seems to be all we get these days)
-
Build is fine in and of itself; it only highlights how grossly imbalanced the game is for solo queue. Build isn't the issue.
-
I mean, killers just need to use a VPN to get a ridiculous advantage, and while not hacking, it is cheating. And it's incredibly common.
-
Observation wouldn't lead any valid results lol

It's a larger percentage than a lot of other games, that much is certain. How much larger, though, and the actual percentage is unknown.
A lot of people use the flag to show support, though, not just because they're part of the community
Idk how you could possible discern even that, tbh. There's literally no way of knowing this without an official poll by the devs.
-
It's not sudden. He got a load of buffs between two patches, and while it was mostly what we all asked for, it was slightly too much, so now he's gone from a fun killer to vs to a killer that you can't do anything about at all if he knows what he's doing, and he almost always gets a free first hit.
-
OW 2 being a thing has killed OW. The 'dead game' meme was literally already a self-fulfilling prophecy and Activision took over, instantly deciding to force the devs' hand into doing this rather than just changing the business model for the game to help it survive lol.
I don't want this for DBD unless it's a different style of game entirely made by a different team, because that would kill a game we all hold so dear.
-
@Adjatha said:
You know what would prevent your team mates from going down there? "Kindred." Shows everybody the killer, even with insidious when you're hooked (and shows you the killer when someone else is).
But, you know, meta perks only. No room for anything else.
Or, you could just play SWF and get all the free information you could want over Discord, because that's perfectly balanced.
Kindred doesn't show them, but in many cases people will still do itknowing full well what has been going on because they're bored.
-
Imagine people defending this and saying it isn't something that should be removed from the game rather than just creating more band-aid perks that create problems like DS did. (:

Umm there's literally a report button that says 'helping the killer' I'm pretty sure it's against the rules.
Yes, if you're working with the killer from the beginning, it definitely is breaking the rules. My point was that unless this was the case, there's nothing to really ban for.
I'm not saying you did; just that this is when I would try to get the poor survivor to give away the last one so I let them live. But it happens very rarely.
-
I don't run DH unless a perk wheel deems it so, because I find it BS to go against.
I don't run exhaustion perks normally, unless one counts Adrenaline, which I consider a necessity if you're playing in a decent team (regardless of comms)
I do love Lithe, though, as there are some insanely big brain plays you can use to throw off killers if used well.
-
Nope.
-
Not against the rules unless they were working with each other from the beginning of the game. I'll do this only if I feel the person I keep finding deserves to live as a result of the final survivor's actions messing up their team, such as by overt immersion or leaving people on the hook when it's clear I was chasing someone else.
-
Legion, Trapper, Trickster.

I like the map. I wish I'd get it more than once a month.
Speaking of which has anyone seen The Game or Hawkins? I know that the latter will be gone soon and the former was rumored to have been deactivated a few weeks ago. I never see them anymore. It's almost exclusively Macmillan, Coldwind, and a huge uptick in Ormond and the Asylum / Chapel.
The other day I had a session of only indoor maps. Hawkins, Lery's and RPD. Constantly. It was awful.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
MacMillan-Maps are probably the most balanced Maps in the game. If you struggle on Ironworks this is most likely a you-problem.
Have to agree, with the exception of Groaning Storehouse and Shelter Woods having some major RNG issues (seriously, Shelter Woods can be purely deadzone and Storehouse can have multi-pallet loops as well as a ton of deadzones, with ridiculous windows if RNG is in the survivors' favour)

Idk the true steath kind of makes sense to me. What is your problem with the stealth? It can definitely seem like he gets free hits depending on the loop and maybe the length of the dash is a bit to long.
I agree I don't think we'll see any real changes because you know the Trapper still can carry only 1 trap
Thematically, it makes sense, but it was one of those minor changes that by itself was fine, but then combined with the buffs he got after, became overkill, because now survivors need all the forewarning they can get. And to make it worse, survivors get like no points for wasting his time, just as with Victor because of bad design choices lol
Yeah idk what's up with the trapper in that regard...just make trapper bag base kit already!!!

But before his buff he was completely add on dependent. What would you suggest for a second power?
He was, which is why I agreed with the direction of buffs, other than the 'true invisibility' change that they threw in there. But I do also think they buffed the numbers ever so slightly too much, to the point where it's basically a free hit for the wraith at most loops.
I honestly don't know, I'll have to think on it, but it needs to be something less frustrating for both sides for it to be any good for the game, and I doubt we'd get any meaningful changes to him anyway now.
-
@Heartbound said:
You need to be good in chases to deal with Wraith, and a lot of people just aren't. That's all it is.
Wraith is going to find you and get the first hit, and he's either going to run away and hit and run or commit to downing you. If the Wraith commits, you need to stay up while your team does generators. Not everyone can do that.
Honestly you don't, lol. If the wraith knows the power well, he can deny you pallets at every loop simply by spamming his power. I feel like he needs a secondary power for chase, and the invisibility only for engagement as it really does feel obnoxious since they buffed him (buffs I agreed with overall, except for the 'true invisibility')ever so slightly too much.
