Wow, some logic you got there.
So I can be a little prick in a match all I want, but can't be called out once I'm out of it?
How about we just say "toxic behavior is never justified" instead of specifying certain contexts?
Why's that such a hard concept to endorse?
This exactly. They think they can be as toxic to a person in game and then play the victim when called out on their toxic behavior.

they dont deserve to be abused in a game PERIOD in my opinion, alot of us use video games to escape ######### things happening in our lives. maybe a little compassion is in order once in a while.
Yes we use games to escape and being facecamped isn't an "escape" it's just more stress having to deal with some toxic persons behavior in game.

NO ONE DESERVE to have abuse hurled at them for how they play a Game NO ONE, period end of story you probably don't understand that yet but it is part of growing up to learn that behavior in-game does not justify being an abusive ass outside of it. That is all I am saying if you can't understand that then you are the problem!, DO you truly believe that because some face camped you IN A VIDEO GAME you have the right to hurl all kinds of vile disgusting abuse at them if the answer is yes THAN AGAIN YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
No you're part of the problem. You think it's okay to treat others like crap in a game then wonder why they don't like it. You're like an abusive partner who abusers their spouse then whines when they say something bad about them. You have a very victim complex trying to make yourself out to be the victim while initiated toxic behavior.

Then those people that hurl abuse and tease in end game chat are the problem did you not really read what I was trying to say? Nothing you do in a match itself justify being insulted or threatened, or my favorite, because this did happen to me, Told that they wished your mother would die of cancer because of how you played a video game, Video games are not the real world nothing that happens in a video game truly matters if you think it does then maybe you're the problem
Facecampers do deserve it because they ruin the match for another person at least to the extent for it to be pointed out how crappy they've behaved to another person in a game. Video games are meant to be fun. The moment they cease to be what's the point of playing them? Why play a game just to ruin fun for others? Does that make people feel better about themselves?

this folk is what we call an "opinion" and what's great about those is that everyone has one sometimes more than one, The other great thing about them is we do not have to share your opinions, Period end of story, Getting down to object facts No one should be insulted for playing a game how they like (even cheaters as much as is pains me to admit that), so many survivors and killers will say awful horrible things after a match because they lost or even when they Win << this shouldn't be a thing but it is we should be going after people that say toxic and even hateful things to people because they didn't like how they played (and I can't stress this enough) a video game nothing justifying hurling abuse at people over a VIDEO GAME
Oh yes no one should be insulted for ruining the game match for another player and making it so they literally can do nothing. Sure I'm the hateful one is that why every camper and tunneler I've gone against bragged about it in end game chat and teased about it? But surely that's not toxic at all? Yes facecamping is toxic. I'm sorry you feel the need to make others dislike this game and cause more stress on a game that's supposed to be fun yes games are about having fun not babysitting toxic man children.

This depends a lot on the context of the situation.
If i have been chased througout the match have been hooked before and none of my teammates have interacted with the killer and there is more then one gen left to complete then I will purposfully lead the killer to you with bond equiped.
Do your part and take aggro dangit.
You're not my real mum!
-
This is why disconnect penalty is pointless. People can just die on first hook if they want to leave match.

They are usually the ones throwing a fit though. Had someone calling me pathetic for some Basement Bubba action, but like, it is a challenge? Pinhead ain't going to pre farm himself. All those weird disconnects just mean I have to go and ruin more games. But survivors are so selfish that they never even consider that, now do they?
Eh I get plenty of hooks in basement without camping or tunneling I even got the achievement for getting was it 3 or 4 people hooked at the same time there? I know there was a multiple survivors at the same time achievement.
-
But if a build works it works.
-
Eh none of those are too OP or anything I'd consider toxic.

Yes, that includes the killer, sometimes some people have more fun with quick matches,
as for point 3, nobody is trying to ruin the game for anyone else (Trolls aside) if you think that maybe you are the one that needs their head checked honestly it's so sad that people think that other people should be responsible for their own fun if you aren't having fun that it's no the killer's problem that's, a you problem, You have to be in charge of your own fun nobody is here to entrain you especially not in PVP if you don't like that thought then maybe don't play PVP games?
No one is trying to ruin the game for others? What about facecampers? I'm pretty sure they are and most of them will brag about it in post game chat in fact most campers and tunnelers I've dealt with were dbags in end game chat making it sound like they were so great cause they could facecamp me.

Survivors don't always know where there teammates are, if the leading survivor is injured, perhaps you should take over to give the injured survivor a chance to escape and get healed.
I know that's one reason I run bond so I don't accidentally lead the killer to other team mates and interrupt them doing gens.

You guys aren't really listening, are you? Sometimes a killer just wants a quick match and they don't care about the blood points what's wrong with that? Or because you don't get the blood points you want, you get mad I don't get it. Maybe just live and let live? Also, it's not always baby killers that do it sometimes there are tactical advantages to Tunneling and camping,
for a good example of a Tactical camp you just down and hooked a survivor at the end game far from any door, it is to your advantage to stay with the hooked survivor because more than like their teammates will come for the save if not well at least you got 1k.
- People play games to have fun
- Quick matches are boring and you may as well not bother playing if you don't have time
- It's not tactical it just means you're bad at this game and the only way you can get kills is by camping people. If you think ruining a game for others is fun perhaps get yourself checked by a psychiatrist because you may be a narcissist.

just forget it im sure its all my fault like everything is, all im saying is i dont need to resort to such "tactics" to 4k 🙂
Neither do I. Baby killers like to make excuses for why they do these things. Also I love how he says why shouldn't a killer try to end the match as fast as possible that's hilarious. You earn next to nothing in blood points ending it as fast as possible and are more likely to de-pip that way.

Context is key if there was only one gen left and Duke was the only person they had hooked that game then yeah I can understand why they would go straight back when Duke was unhooked, Also like get over it? don't let these things spoil your game also there is a punishment for true camping your sacrifice score starts to drop the longer you stay by the hook, also your teammates should gen rush the hell out of the killer if this happens, from what I can gather though it doesn't seem like the killer was truly camping they might have seen scratch marks and where like "well there is another survivor around here better have a look around"
Killers are not there to make sure you have fun they are there to do one thing and one thing only to kill you, it is not their responsibility nor should it be for you to have fun, that is on you, and you only.
You get over the fact that it's a poor tactic? Have you ever had a game of being hook camped or tunneled? It's not fun and ruins the match for that player..
Games are meant to be fun and not toxic fests of having to deal with man children who tunnel and camp you then be dbags about it at end chat just because they can.
-
I had a match where shortly after the last gen went and we were going to escape even though we were in separate locations across the map suddenly we fell down as if injured. I'm pretty certain that killer was a hacker.
-
Yeah, I've heard so many arguments from some who see nothing wrong with this behavior it's why I wish they didn't have notifications for hooks for killers. Also wish there was something to stop people hook camping as well as tunneling.
-
@ARTRA said:
I mean, unless you play against a full Feng Min team with same outfit, if a killer want to kill "that fen ming" is going to chase it. Portrait does not matter.
Yes but they won't know the moment they're unhooked to just run back to hook like so many do.
-
@Jay_Whyask said:
I doubt this would stop tunneling, killers that want to tunnel would just glare at their victim's portrait.
I thought the loud noise notification only happens when you unhook while sprinting, is that incorrect? Also, can you explain what you mean by "hook status", are you talking about the red bar or the entire portrait?
I mean as in victims portrait as in not show on it if the victim is hooked so killer doesn't know.
-
Survivor I just went with one and kept with them since I've put so much effort into them. Killer I went through them and went with what worked well for me.
-
What's the ending like? Is there a final boss fight?
But in all seriousness congrats.
-
I had a team I went against one person died on hook two left through hatch with a key leaving the last survivor to be basically screwed.

Literally the game is not over until everyone escapes or until everyone is dead.
The objectives of the game are literally in the training.
Survivors: Your job is to -ESCAPE-
Killers: Your job is to -KILL-
This. Game isn't over till it's actually over. Having the gens done still means survivors need to open gates and get out.
-
I may not be the best looper but I can do it in fact had a huntress give up on chasing me in a match earlier today.

Something similar for me, lol. Games against good Nurses regularly end in 4 man slugs in my experience. Most of the game's playerbase just aren't equipped to deal with good Nurses I guess. Hopefully MMR helps with this.
Yeah the nurse I went against didn't slug but she was still hard as hell.
-
They did have BBQ & Chilli which made it easy for them to see where the rest of us were when they hooked one person though
-

I do not like that thing. I do not like it on my ping or to sing. I do not like it here or there. I would not like them anywhere.
-
There's nothing in the rules that says you have to play well as far as I know. But it'll take a bloody long time.
-
I don't think so? Just play really badly and I'm sure you'll depip in no time.

MLGA was a fan made software, it could detect killer's IP for identification and had its own blacklist of players. Whenever you joined a lobby with someone you blocked with it, you would know it and could dodge the lobby. It worked back then when the killer was the host. Now that they have dedicated servers it's no longer the case and such software can't work anymore, since everyone connects to the severs and so the players can't be identified by IP.
They honestly should just implement something like this in the game the devs themselves I feel. Would make the game a lot more relaxing and fun.

Back in the day DbD had a thing called "MLGA" or something, which allowed you to do exactly that. And the game was fine and well, nobody was blocking everyone, matchmaking worked as expected, etc. So not only it has been tried before, it has been tried before in DbD itself and it went perfectly well: the game didn't even slightly go to dying. I think the real answer to the question is that toxicity is part of the game and every player must be forced to be matched against pricks because it's part of DbD itself. DbD is not DbD without endless toxic streams of bile from both sides, so for this sole reason the blocklist functionality will not be implemented officially. Those toxic SWF sweat squads spent their money on bright colorful skins for a reason, now you are there to make their spent money worth it! Don't even dare avoiding the humiliation.
Well if it's been done before and worked why is it no longer a thing? Like why would they take that away? It raises some questions about that.

I allways give a chance for 1 of the last 2 survivors that have been hiding for ages to rat the other survivor out to make him think i'll spare his life if he does.
Yeah this wasn't a situation of hiding the entire match I was actually running to look for hatch around the map except where he was standing over the downed survivor cause I figured it was an obvious trap and I'm not falling for that and they were on last hook. Instead he let them up to find me.

Why do people assume this means everyone? I mean people who are rude dbags at the end of matches and such. I'd rather avoid drama people. But if you're admitting to being a person who is like that well then.

Not against the rules unless they were working with each other from the beginning of the game. They were standing over them for a bit might have expected me to come running to them but that's just a clear trap and I'm not a moron.

Also I wasn't messing up the team I did gens unhooked survivors they just couldn't find me at the end after slugging the other person so got the other one to help find me in exchange for the hatch.

Umm there's literally a report button that says 'helping the killer' I'm pretty sure it's against the rules.
-
He literally spent the rest of the match invisible and not doing anything I had to use my spine chill perk just to get an idea of where he was.

I had one where the killer a wraith afked the entire match it was only at the end when we all started looking for him and I found him that he went after us and hooked someone.

I've done nothing entire match but walked around the map looking for yellow glyph. That's because I failed the skill checks 3 times and had to find a new glyph every time. If walking around the map and not doing gens would be against the rules, there wouldn't be challenges that require walking around the map and not doing gens.
There are also challenges like doing 20 totems, so I would walk around the map and until I find all 5.
I like to do my challenges as fast as possible.
Edit: just wanted to add that there would not be any proof that they didn't spend that time doing challenges, for obvious reasons. So, for as long as challenges exist, there is plausible deniability.
The yellow glyphs are a pain. I remember having to re-do them. I wouldn't actively search for them cause I wanted to help my team as well but if I came across one I'd try it. Though one I came across was while the killer was chasing me and by time I got back there it was gone.
-
Don't think it's bannable but it's counter productive. Not doing gens means less chance of getting out also less blood points earned as doing gens is part of earning blood points.
-
It's going to be good to at least get more experience though I'll have to juggle my time between DBD and another game that has a Halloween event.
-
Not really. But I did have someone who kept tbagging near me and within a short time after they were downed and on hook. They were somewhat less cocky after that.
-
Yeah the problem would be you'd still get people going to casual just to be dbags.

I've had survivors do this to me as killer, where they'll try and sell out their teammates to me when it's just two of them. I have a personal rule when this happens. Was in Midwhich once and I wanna say it was a Meg(?) and an Ace(?) that was left. The Ace stopped and pointed at a locker where the Meg was hiding at and then tried to tip toe away. I went and grabbed the Meg out of the locker then put her down and went back for the Ace. I downed him then stuck him on a hook, went back for the Meg and carried her to hatch. At the end of the game I wrote to them "Never rat out the homies."
But for real any time this happens to me I usually go along with it until I find the survivor being outted, down them so I can come back and carry them to hatch, then I'll go back and kill the snitching survivor. Again, you never rat out the homies. Also snitches get stitches, or in this case hooked.
Good on you. In my case the killer was part of it. He literally downed the person then let them up and let them lead them to me and gave them hatch as a reward for helping them find me.
-

I had the exact same thing happen. Was 1 of 2 survivors left and the survivor brought the killer to me, then gave the other survivor the hatch. I had done 3 of the 4 gens, yet that survivor just brought the killer to me and got the bloodpoints of the hatch. Sucks.
Yep exact same thing they downed the other person let them up then the other survivor brought them to me even using the pointing emote then the killer gave him the hatch as a reward for helping him find me.

it's literary just because of the new bug and sound bugs that are in the game, spirit is just trash when she has no way to counter iron-will
even if people with iron-will had step sounds, there are so many sounds that can just overpower the footstep sounds so u actually have no idea
spirit now is just complete guessing game, which she was before without stridor against iron-will as well
I meant spirits as in the drink not the killer.
