I got the mori challenges while working on Myer’s Evil Within challenge. Didn’t know that was a two-fer.
-
Plague with Black Incense is borderline unfair but the survivors don’t really know it til the end.
Huntress with Iri Heads and Belt is very strong. Survivors to this day straight DC.
Spirit with Mother Daughter Ring and Yamoake Amulet is very strong. Ten seconds moving at double survivor speed and recovery stays at 14 seconds for the full ten secs of use.
-
I would say, after learning him, he is not a difficult killer to play or come back to. The camera glitching out of control when demon striking is disorienting. That’s about it.

I dont take bugs into account when ranking killers, those are just something that arent supposed to happen. And yeah Nurse has bad maps, but overall she is the best killer IMO.
I can get on board with not including bugs but she has a ton. It’s why I’m hesitant to drop Hillbilly in his bugged form but I haven’t seen an acknowledgement that he is bugged. Makes me think he was intended to be nerfed and if that’s the case he needs to drop down the Tier List.
It’s exactly because of Nurse overall I don’t consider her number one. If you spawn on Haddonfield or a corn map, you are not the best killer in the game.

Nurse is still number #1. You just have to know how to play her. And also if you're swf you dont necessarily need to be good, you just need to hold m1.
I feel I know how to use her. There are bugs, map dependency, multiple floor structures, and high punishment for mistakes that makes me think she is not strong enough to be considered a high tier killer. Maybe she’s just the best killer on MacMillan or like Red Forest but it’s extremely unsatisfying playing her on Rotten Fields or Haddonfield. I feel like when I lose with her that I could take down the same team with Spirit.
-
I use it on three killers right now: Ghostface, Nurse, and Legion.
It is strong on Ghostface because you can remove your stain and the survivor will lose track of where you are. Makes you appear like a master mind gamer because you always correctly guess where they are going.
Nurse - You can literally blink right on top of them. Good for two or three hits a game.
Legion - when going for your first M2 hit you lose scratch marks. If they vault during the M2 you can still track their aura and it removes their ability to window juke you.
I am also considering it on Huntress but haven’t unlocked it on her since P3ing.
-
I think what you may be realizing is that SWFs are still really bad at the game.
Also, I kind of want to argue that Nurse is not a high tier killer. Just potentially. On paper. Really strong. But her ease of use and lack of consistency makes me think Spirit and Freddy are the top of the tiers. I love Oni too. And Nurse. ButI rarely feel out of control as Spirit.
-
Definitely will be. Working on Prestige for every character.
-
Huntresses have to adjust their aim to hit those hits. If they hit the survivors nose it goes right through them.
-
No, the progress ends when the rift closes - about four and a half weeks from now. I would still encourage players to purchase it since a lot of the levels can be obtained through the challenges and three of the challenge levels are available now.
I calculated that the challenges give about ten rift levels each. The rest comes from just general game play.
But I also play a lot and played a lot before the rift was a thing.

Like i have no idea why that steamer, is so proud of themselves for escaping vs a legion that seems clearly new to the game. Like oh no, a experience person with who knows how many hours, beat a person who just picked up the game, that was really a challenge, oh wait no it wasn't. Like why are they being such a jerk? Makes no sense. Have they not heard of good sportsmanship?
OP is the survivor who escaped the Legion lol.
-
For Pig - my friend and I faced a Pig recently and we both took our party hats off at the same box. Also, I took my hat off twice at separate boxes.
For Spirit - I believe the whooshing noise is based on 24 meters from the husk. This is actually why I run M&A. There was a long running misinformation that it was based on her terror radius but I think that’s debunked.
-
I think some players hot key some phrases so they can just macro in a few messages at the end of a match. Killer streamers are far more interesting then the survivor ones btw. Hot take, I know.

That's the advantage they want to give the Killer in the lobby.
Survivors can prepare together, Killer can observe them.
This is the best explanation I’ve read on this topic. It’s one of those things that’s obvious and so ingrained that people walk right past it in these discussions.
-
Auric cells are more expensive but allows you to buy a character individually for cheaper then the set. I don’t mind spending $7 or $8 for a new DLC though.
-
A lot of times I review my build or I like to think about my ‘prestige plan.’
-
That although I enjoy killer tier lists going from S to D, no killer is realistically lower than a B in viability.
-
I remember getting four twitchy's in my lobby and decided to bring my favorite killer at the time, Oni, with topknot and the purple duration addon. Two of them DC'd relatively quickly. The game was very very lopsided. I haven't had much worries with TTV's in my lobby ever since.
Besides, ever notice the really good streamers don't put TTV in their name?
-
I just "gg" and then try to strike up a conversation. Respond to complaints. Talk builds. Whatever they want to discuss really. It's a good cool down between matches.
Met some fun people by just giving them a chance to discuss the game.
-
At some point it’s not even remotely morally wrong to employ these strategies. At five gens, sure calm down the tunnels/camp. Don’t complain at DS at five gens you goof.
With exit gates open? The killer should secure a kill or look for hook trades. These two concepts are inarguable to me. Inarguable.
The question is when (between five gens and EGC) should the killer commit to a kill, to the detriment of other’s fun? I think after two or three gens are completed. I’ll be the bro killer and follow the rulebook til then. I’ll literally look the other way. And I’ll expect the worse killer when surviving with one gen remaining.
-
Don’t DC.
-
Lol no

Wrong.
Completely agree. I think a fair request from the devs is to make thoughtful perks and at least one perk per character that players are excited to use somewheres. The killers have been very true to this at least.

Admitting that survivors can mess around instead of trying to escape kinda proves the advantages of Swf.
God how i hate the new catchword of survivors: "boring"
“Boring” aka it’s not exciting knowing your loss is inevitable. Strong killer game play or terrible survivor game play is like this.

There is 4 separate addons that offer various status effects to survivors with headgear. To suggest playing in a way that would make those addons have any value at all is improper is kinda silly. While I agree tunneling 1 survivor for an extended amount of time is likely to lose you the game since your not applying pressure elsewhere, often times people have it in their heads that that helmet is an invisibility cloak and any killer who dares get in their way from going to a puzzle box is playing wrong.
In truth... apply pressure to EVERYONE, including the guy who has a bomb on his head.
I completely agree. That’s why I don’t think the users of Pig are necessarily intentionally being unfun but that the Pig really needs an add on rework badly. In several of my games the players don’t even try. Boop the snoot. Meme, then give up.
If the trap is active, survivors cannot heal after being unhooked usually. Bum rush the boxes. Pig patrols the boxes or “happens to hear a box” and you’ve got a recipe for an unfun game.

There's actually quite a few. I don't know a few of these sorry but I just wanted to type in dbd killer tier list on youtube and see what they say.
Rowby: S tier
Dowsey: S tier
Jaee: A+ (spirit and freddy are also here)
Jamishio: A tier (Myers SS, Hag S, Pig S)
The King: S tier
TydeTyme: S tier (tbh this tier list looked weird lol) This one was 4 months old.
These are just the first set I saw. Sorry if this looks rude I'm just showing what they are saying. I don't watch anyone here and I don't think any youtuber I watch has done one within the last 6 months.
I never play her myself (other than a meme build yesterday which was a 4k) but I just don't think it would be received well if arguably the best killer in the game got a buff.
Truetalent also stands by Nurse as best in the game. 2. Spirit.
I think a half second reduction of her base cooldown along with a slight reduction to her cooldown add ons could be nice, but she already is the best at chase. We’d just be opening the window for players who aren’t putting much effort into her. Do we really want a bunch of Nurses running around again?
-
Weird. I don’t like playing Pig’s because her add ons encourage an unfun playstyle. Literally more then half of them weaken survivors with traps on their heads. After dealing with a Pig or two that targets trapped survivors I am sure many survivors will either insta try hard or give up and boop at your snoot until they suicide on hook.
-
If you have a good understanding of survivor tendencies and ability to read those tendencies into each new survivor you come across, you can easily shift from a 115 M1 killer into using her with a learning curve of: use her ability often. Then yes she is easy mode compared to other killers.
I don’t care to play her because of the lack of challenge. I’m sure I’d lose on occasion (she’s not exactly auto win) but she is a very capable killer.

And the point of base-kit noed is so the killer can enjoy the game without all gens being done with them only having 7000 points. As a killer, getting all gens done in five minutes is a far worse travesty than a survivor getting downed and hooked for the first time in the collapse with NOED
See the problem?
How about base kit DS is thirty seconds and bringing DS in a perk slot adds 20/30/40 seconds to it. The longer the amount of time from being unhooked to the DS skillcheck, the less the DS stun is. Starting at six seconds stun to less than fifteen seconds from unhook; 5 seconds to thirty; 4 second stun to 50 and three second stun to 110.
As far base kit NOED, if survivors cleanse less than three totems, it activates.

Just imagine how horrible it would be for every survivor to have base-kit DS plus four other perks.
Its as if NOED was base-kit
It would be a nightmare
If it was base kit, every survivor would have a chance to enjoy the game for at least a little bit. Any game where you are sacrificed with less than 5,000 blood points is a far worse travesty then a killer getting DS’d with five gens remaining.

Bruh you woudln't need to be a killer main to know about the noise and HUD notification.
I get that DS is supposed to be anti-momentum but it shouldn't be abusable in that way, it shoudlnt give you a free escape when doing a terrible play like unhooking in front of the killer or be able to finish a gen on a killer's face with no worries at all
The point of that part of the post is to remind us that killers have the information available to know if a survivor could still potentially have DS on cooldown or not. Also the perk is easily countered.
-
This is the lesser of two evils because to make a yellow ranked killer wait for yellow ranked survivors (which doesn’t really exist) means an extensive extensive queue time. So it’s either play against the survivors closest to your rank (potentially purples or higher) or wait over twenty minutes until four solo yellows eventually become available.
The people complaining about this probably never experienced the long killer queue times from about a year ago or just didn’t know this was the best (and most correct) fix available.
-
DS is an anti-momentum perk, not anti-tunnel.
It’s sixty seconds from unhook at Tier 3. If you want to not get DS’d, keep it in mind how long ago the survivor was unhooked. There’s a section in the bottom left of the HUD that tells the killer the state of each survivor without seeing them. On top of that there is a noise notification letting the killer know when a player is unhooked.
As for suggested prescriptions: DS should be stronger then what it currently is, if not base kit.
I can pull out my killer credentials if you want.
-
Yes, under KYFs with no blood points awarded. I’d be okay with practicing with strangers. You’re better off doing that on a discord though.
-
Would I be wrong to say that the complaint is that other people are better at the game then you are? There are situations you don’t know how to react to and this is a problem with the game?

Hey Guys, I just had the worst match i have ever played.
This game is the perfect showcase for me what a 4 man SWF can do.
Info about me: Im a Killer main and I know how the game works for the most part. I know how to run tiles and I know to not commit to a chase that goes for ever.
However I never had a game like this before and I would like somne advive/tips for what I could have done better.
Killer(me): Legion.
Map: The game
So I started the game and got a bit unlucky with patroling. The survivors or at least three of them started at the same place and it was the last gen i had to patrol but it popped before I could get there.
happens sometimes nothing to cry about.
Then I actually see them and manage to hit 2 of them with my power. One of them gets chased of course.
Now heres the problem of this game for me:
They all knew exactly how to run tiles, where they were, where they have been before and how many loops they could run.
All of them had dead hard but they didnt got greedy with loops. so they looped 2-3 times around a pallet and then dropped it. If they miscalculated the distance for a loop they used dead hard.
Its not a problem if one person knows exactly how to run tiles, but this was a 4 man where there was no weakling involved.
They all went to the shack tile after there first pallet loop when they gained some distance and they left before dropping the shack pallet.
I broke like 12-14 pallets this game and the only hits I scored were due to my power. except for two:
two times I commited to a chase long enough/ or they made a mistake to actually have them exhausted and without a pallet.
Now both times another survivor was there and ran into my face, bodyblocking me so the other one could gain distance to reach the next pallet.
This was my first game where I didnt even got a down and I have no clue what I could have done better in this situation.
Sure, ill get the GIT GUD comments, but I really want to know how XD
I get that it would have been a different game with nurse for example ( im decent at her) or spirit ( shes busted) or freddy who can do something against looping.
BUT i played Legion. I could injure them but not down them.
What could I have done better with a weaker killer, without a mori, without noed, without spirit fury enduring combo?
just with normal perks that are not super strong.
I really tired to switch targets often, but after the first hit they were just too organised.

Developers aren’t responsible for your internet connections. My dl/up don’t compare to what OP says and I never randomly disconnect. Never. I think I got one five minute ban once from a bug and that was months ago.

Killers: Clown, Trapper, (Shape,) Doctor, Oni, Plague, Cannibal, Hillbilly, Huntress
I find these discussions fascinating and can go more in depth.
It’s been a month to two months since this post so I wanted to update:
Survivors: (David, Bill, Laurie,) Claudette, Jane, Dwight, Kate
Killers: Clown, Trapper, ( Shape,) Doctor, Oni, Plague, Cannibal, Hillbilly, Huntress, Ghostface, Legion, Spirit, Nurse (,Wraith)
() means prestiged but not P3
-
All of them? Each has a bit of a learning curve I has to come to grips with lol
-
This is what (sometimes) happens when you give advice to someone who didn’t ask for it.
-
Balanced landing gives a landing bonus and speed boost when active. While exhausted, makes the survivors not grunt as loud during the landing.
-
Whenever using a new killer, use their ability a lot. Trial and error. Hag, don’t chase for extended periods. Hit and reset traps.
Trap under hooks 100% of the time. Don’t handicap yourself.
Watch streamers play Hag for strategies.
Use monitor and abuse. She has a small terror radius naturally. Monitor reduces it to a laughably small size.
Wear dark cosmetics. Being small and unnoticeable helps to get hits. Being bright is pay to lose.

Even better is people who DC during bonus events AND blood party streamers. No exaggeration I have seen people in a game with 4 streamers play the whole thing and then DC right before death hook... uhm okay so your weird stand about hating Freddy and not wanting to let him “get the kill,” just cost you 100k blood points
I had a player with an escape cake DC in hopes of gifting hatch. Cost me 500 points maybe (31,500). Cost him/her easily 20,000 or more.
Red ranks Clown.
-
Lol lucky enough to get an OoO and quit. If you hooked her she probably suicides on hook because stealth killers are a HARD counter to Object, since the information is one sided.
-
It’s hard to argue OP’s fun. I find it fun. Feels good knowing I can win despite the complaints I read on here. I tallied my wins yesterday.
Red rank killer (US): 4, 2, 4, 4, 4, 4.
Many of those games had two or fewer gens remaining btw. First couple fly off because of how spawns work. Then it crawls after some good gameplay.
-
Usually buying the chapter as a whole nets some cosmetics as well. I’d recommend buying every chapter outright over auric cells. Even ghostface (single character chapters) comes with a white outfit and blade that doesn’t come with the Auric Cells purchase.
-
I thought from the title someone put their hands in the spaghetti.
-
Most people in SWFs are really bad at the game. Me and my friends included. Even in the anniversary stream they acknowledged that SWF survival rates are barely above solo.
The way I read these kind of complaints are a killer is upset people have mastered the game and usually, not saying here, disregard any of there own mistakes in a trial. Sometimes you run into SWFs that are good. Like really good. I hope the Dev’s are super careful about any adjustment as suggested here. Maybe even to the point they preferably never do anything at all.
I can pull out my killer credentials if you want me to btw.

AFKing is reportable under the Unsportsmanlike category. I assume reports can result in a ban but I am unfamiliar.
