Yall were right. Thanks for helping Nurse get fixed.

I personally would be the most excited for Alien. Anything they bring in I hope is fun. Looking forward to the next announcement.

I wonder if some people ever played nurse in their lives. The blink was normal, duble range addons. Please, don't talk about things you don't know. It's a known bug, and it's in a lot of maps.
This could be proven with a brown add on in KYFs. I don’t play Nurse as much. So your position is that she literally cannot blink up to a second floor, ever? And that it is not a mistake in the blink usage.
I feel part of playing Nurse is learning these mechanics or you will fail over and over like in OP’s video. Like not blinking through certain structures is part of her learning curve.

To the first attempts: you don't even make it inside the building. That is a clue that you simply were too far away to get up to the second floor. And you know that with range addons you need to charge longer than pre rework omega blink? I would test that again with the flannel equipped

Lightburn bug on Wraith was in the game for over half a year. Not saying that this makes the bugs nurse has to face any less critical, just for info.
Agreed. Poor blink understanding or a video setup to make Nurse look bad. The killer walks further from the building as well to retry.
The second blinks weren’t charged enough either to make it anywheres. When blinking through an object you have to ‘clear’ it or it just blinks you in front of it.
Sometimes I think these bugs people complain about is just inexperience.
-
Ive brought good addons once (not a mori) because it was four TTVs. Two of them DC’d. I expected it to be a tough game but single TTVs don’t get much mind from me.
-
Really? I noticed a difference

I’m prestiging Legion for the rift. I find his power to be an inconvenience and experienced survivors can use Feral Frenzy against you. I’ve stabbed a player, then that player body blocked a doorway to allow the others to escape.
Not being able to see scratch marks is a humongous penalty while attempting the first hit. Movement speed is nullified by stun time.
I will keep playing until P3-50 and maybe my opinion will change by then but my feeling is they are in a bad place and deserving of the low ranking.

I was disappointed that the level 70 free item is a wig for Feng Min. The free track has too many empty tiers, they should add random bundles of blood points or low items.
We get blood points from the challenges.
-
I thought Feng’s hair was multiple colors and kind of changes by angles. I’ll need to look at it again. This was wrong. It matches her outfit well. The best video on reviewing the rift imo was JaeRoar’s. He goes tier by tier then shows the complete outfits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tkHXF2KW5E
And smh at y’all sleeping on Spirit’s outfit.
The free track is pretty great I thought. Also has Huntress’s 🪓
-
I f—-ing hate trapper. One game against him and I’m checking my feet seven games later against a Doctor.
And people are asking for buffs, smh.

I just called and fired my lawyer. Looks like I don’t need a definition of tunneling argued for my political benefit in DBD anymore.

Obsession doesnt mean jack. You can run DS and not be the obsession. I never run DS cause I think it's a crutch perk and Im always the obsession -.- If you down someone and pick them up you have no idea if they have DS until you get hit by it. Both sides have to pay attention. No argument there but one clearly gets more help from the UI.
It does mean jack. An Obsession means a player may have Decisive Strike. If you’re the Obsession without Obsession perks, either the killer brought an Obsession perk or another survivor brought something to reduce their chance of being the Obsession. Also meaningful information to pay attention to.
At least we agree that both sides pay attention now but the idea that killers are unfairly treated with their forms of receiving information is a biased stand point. There are tons of things that could be taken away from killers that would handicap the killer experience. Remember Ghostface had a bugged HUD that sometimes removed it when he first released? Not an easy game.
Maybe we’re so used to all the features as killer that you can forget how important it is.
Also I 100% bring DS and encourage you to as well.

I just find it contradictory that you say the killer has to pay attention to details while survivors get all these notifications so they don't have to pay attention.
DH is perhaps the only proper hex perk because they don't get a notification until 3 stacks and you hit someone.
Lullaby and Ruin you get a notice the moment you touch a gen. I don't think there should be a notification. If you get downed in one shot assume dh, noed, or haunted grounds ect.
Killers get a notification that survivors might have DS from the obsession symbol and an actual notification when being DS’d on the right with a timer in the bottom right (similar to Devour Hope don’t you think?).
The bottom left also informs the killer without a visual who is hooked, in dying state, and injured without literally seeing the survivors. Along with names and the characters they chose are in the settings.
Both sides have to pay attention. This is a silly argument.

Its the killers job to know who was hooked last. Meanwhile survivors get a notification whenever ruin, devour hope, noed comes into play.
And this is a problem why? Devour Hope notification comes from the first hit after three stacks. NOED is the same where they learn after you down someone.
I don’t know that there’s a ruin notifier but it’s obvious when the generator sparks.
So notifications for perks are a problem why?

"Hey guys, I got a lot of BP as killer by following the *hidden rules*, look at me!" 🤣
Seriously, you're a riot. I bet all the other killers are wondering, "Gosh, MegMain, how do I get BP as a killer?! Usually killers don't get any! This is a mystery to us all, please tell us your ways."
I don’t wonder because I do a similar style. It’s the most enjoyable way to play the game for everyone and it’s confirmed by good emblems and high blood points.

The following scenario happened to me some time ago:
I hook Survivor A. I travel to the other side of the map, have a chase with Survivor B.
C & D are minding their business and one of them unhooks Survivor A, just before he enters the next hook stage. He gets healed up. During that time I down Survivor B and hook him.
Survivor A, runs straight for the unhook and jumps into a locker the moment I see him, next to the hooked one. If I grab him, I get ds'ed and he gets a free unhook. If I wait, I'll get insulted for being a camper.
I waited because it's free pressure. Feel free to explain why am I tunneling in this scenario. ("Just look for another one" is not a valid argument if he is coming straight at me)
If you can't find a reason. Congrats, now you may begin to realize why DS has abuse potential. And that's what needs to be fixed. The perk as itself is fine, because it can be countered by slugging.
I don’t see a problem in waiting in that scenario but would disagree that DS needs to be changed if that’s your goal. I’d probably eat the DS in that scenario because it also removes a health state from Surv A and down them again if they unhook in that stun time. That’s a lot of punishment imo and not unfair towards either side.
I’d actually consider that a mistake for Survivor A.

@EvilJoshy said:
The problem with DS is when you leave the hook, hook someone else, you run into the first person by chance, down them and they STILL have DS. No one was camping, no one was tunneling. The 60 secs is too long and what about people who have DS and they deliberately go towards the killer because they know they are safe? It should shut off when the killer hooks another survivor or the person pulled off the hook is healed.
The pictures, although funny, cant literally be changed to direct survivors too. Swap out killer with survivor and DS/Camping/Tunneling with learn to loop, learn to route, learn to hit great skill checks.
I’ve seen this line of thinking several times now and, to the detriment of my killer games, I just don’t agree that this is a problem. I also disagree that one minute is too long.
I think the primary fault in the above logic is the use of ‘anti-tunneling’ because then everyone lawyers up around the definition of this and wants to find loop holes to get around what the perk does.
The circumstances that are brought up as examples of ‘wanted disqualifiers’ for DS are minor and basically complaints that the freshly unhooked dared to continue playing the game. Even in the above, you happened to run into them while chasing another player, therefore you shouldn’t have to eat a DS. I come from the point of view that it’s the killers responsibility to know which survivors are fresh off the hook, not the developers, so it’s the killers mistake if they unknowingly got DS’d.
-
I’m actually on board with OP. Maybe not the o p t i m a l format for delivering this idea but you got a chuckle out of me. We’re playing a game with clear rules. We know that obsession brings the likelihood of DS and should be played around.
Bad games happen. It’s a lot of times your own fault for the mistakes you suffer. I think we all should use self reflection first. Especially before asking that the game gets changed around us instead.

You can't be telling me you read that entire thing in under a minute.
I did read it. This isn’t a new complaint and I see this line of thinking as hoping for a loop hole to DCing at will again. I wasn’t considering the time between our posts but wanted to be civil like you asked and I thought my response was the polite way to disagree.

I still prefer DBD with DC penalties.

My longest game was when a Claudette DCed JUST as I hooked her so she could give her Claudette friend the hatch. I knew where the hatch was (the other side of the map) and upon hooking, I saw with BBQ that she was standing right on top of it. So I just stood there and waited for the escape. It never came. I got annoyed because I was certain she was just waiting for me to get near, so she could teabag and make me watch her jump in. So I instead just walked inside the killer shack and stood there for a while. So much time had passed by I finally gave in and went over to the hatch. It wasn't open. The timing of the DC caused the hatch to glitch and now it was sealed shut unless she had a key.
What proceeded next was the longest 30 minutes of my life. One Oni. One Blendette. A very dark map, no blood orbs to collect, and 2 gens left.
The entire match up to that point was maybe 10 minutes long, so by the end of it, I was in this match for almost 45 minutes. The Blendette wouldn't do any gens, show herself, or stay idle for crows. She wanted me to DC. I refused. When I found her, I let her bleed out for the full duration because I was so jaded at that point, and I proceeded to play the NFL theme song for mt stream while she crawled around on the floor. Just as she was about to bleed out entirely, I activated my Cypress Mori. Was that mean? Yes. Did she deserve it? Also yes. Am I proud of my action. Yes.
Two wrongs don't make a right, you dirty Oni main. Good story though lol.
-
This was one of seven-ish perks listed for a rework during the January Q&A.
-
Not to get too bogged down in the Nurse nerf but if you consider how no one used her add ons: her cooldown nerf was in a way the devs taking something away to give it back through add ons. It’s extremely difficult to survive against a Nurse with green fatigue reduction and green cooldown reduction for example.
I oddly have noticed her performing much better with higher level add ons. Who would’ve thought?
-
It’s not clear which side is causing the game to come to a complete stop. The survivors for not being able to finish the generator or the killer for refusing chase.
This is the problem with a three gen strategy and I know it’s not fun. They a lot of times turn into long matches because it’s a true stalemate in the game.

how i like to play too but thing is most games 3 gen pop in sec the last two don't take long either no time play nice killer.
What I mean by nice killer is not going for the fast win. It’s situational but for example: If I slug three at the start of a match and see the fourth. I’ll hook two, walk away, kick generators.
If multiple gens are completed I would finish the match. Everyone had their chance for fun - which is where the tunneling complaints are coming from.
-
This is going to become a political fight on this board. I can see it happening. I’m on team fix-your-internet unfortunately for OP.
-
Play how you want to play. The only real confines are the mechanics within the game. I do have an appreciation for the non mechanic confines because I want players to have a good time and especially get points.
That balances against my want to win. The easiest method I found was play nice killer until three gens remaining. If I have a bunch of hooks with five gens remaining then I know there wasn’t much opportunity for the others to have fun. I loosen up. Let them catch back up a bit.
In a way it’s like being the manager of the game but if you lose your control you have to take it back.
@Nutty_Professor said:
I'm going to start of and say I'm actually a survivor main. However, I play both survivor and killer at red ranks.
When I play killer I try my best to play as fair as possible. I even go out my way to avoid tunneling an unhooked survivor, which makes playing killer at red ranks even harder then it already is.
However, often I get survivors complaining post game that I tunneled them, because after they got unhooked they immediately start working on a generator, so I interrupt that gen progress by downing them. I have no idea what some survivors expect the killer to do if they spot them working on a generator after they have been unhooked. If they expect the killer to just ignore them, then that survivor is just entitled.
When I play killer, and I see a survivor working on a generator I'll chase them off the gen, and I will prioritize downing them as if I leave them they'll probably go back to working on that generator. So when I play survivor and the killer spots me working on a generator, I expect the killer to chase me.
The link below is of a post about the unrealistic expectations DBD players have for their opponents:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/101754/you-ruined-my-fun
To your point OP, I think my above method has served as a better barometer for measuring fairness to the survivor team against fairness for myself.
If a recently unhooked survivor runs to repair right in front of me, I’d consider the number of gens and likelihood of DS before deciding whether to further the player’s elimination.
-
Here’s one I play by in my games: if the match is completely lop sided for me as killer in the early game I let the game reset. Meaning I pretend I don’t see survivors so they can unhook and try again so everyone has a chance to get points. I just kick gens or literally create distance for a short amount of time.
As survivor it’s not particularly fun to get four slugged at the beginning of a match and I’d prefer the killer was less opportunistic in that moment.
The way my rule works is all self-imposed handicaps are removed after two generators are completed (three remaining). Everyone had a chance to get something out of the match even if they didn’t yet.
I have to admit though that when this happens to me as survivor (losing early and fast) I am more upset with the survivors and myself for giving the opportunity then the killer taking the opportunity.
-
I agree that the process is confusing and could be streamlined. I would however prefer that Huntress’s deviousness points, Hillbilly’s adjustments, and Wraith’s bing bong gets fixed first.

Afk should not be reportable. Sometimes life happens, and you have to step away. Kids, pets, ect.
If life’s happening you won’t care about the consequences in a video game.
-
AFKing is reportable. Just click the button, leave a note, move on. You won’t change anyone’s mind in a chat.
-
Just remember that perks like this are additive, not multiplicative. Meaning with four injured Thana is an extra 12.8 seconds. Then Dying Light’s percentage times eighty seconds is added to the already 92.8 second gen speed.
My main take away when playing though is playing well makes it more and more difficult. The actual math doesn’t fit into my play too much outside maybe not targeting the obsession.
@rainman740 said:
When you stack these perks is it worth it? If you have 6 stacks of dying light and everybody injured what are the numbers on how many extra seconds it would take to do a complete generator?
With six stacks at 3% it’s +14.4 seconds and with four stacks of Thana, combined gen speed is 107.2.
-
So no more bug abuse or was it some sort of actual nerf? Also the adjustments may actually be reverted. But I think we should consider the differences in bugs and attributes.
-
I think this was a balanced move. Maybe players just need to learn how to play and stop pointing fingers because I don’t know what else could’ve been done.
-
The discount applies if you have two out of three items missing from an outfit but yeah I can confirm no discount if you’re missing one item.
-
I heard Huntress is also not being awarded deviousness points for hatchet hits. Haven’t tried it myself yet though.
-
This is a tragedy!
Somebody! Do something!
-
Report as griefing. This has not happened to me fwiw.
-
Run a timer during your match then post the results.
-
Well, I disagree if you think the whole rift is bad. Legion’s and Spirits outfits are very very good. I like Plague’s recolor but understand if you don’t.
Huntress feels like Doctor’s from last rift. Good concept. A bit bulky. Clever but probably prefer something else. I wish her horse mask was more detailed like the late horse head charm.
For the solo pieces I remember Hillbilly, Hag, and Spirit got one. Hags piece completes the outfit from the first Tome (awesome). Other two are okay. I want to see Hillbilly’s new cosmetic with the prestiged legs.
The survivors have a few I really like. Feng, Kate, and Adam are awesome. I agree about Dwight cause I don’t like the leg piece lol. Yui has a bit of a muscular shape that makes me not a fan.
Solo pieces are David, Meg, and Feng. Feng’s ponytail is great. Fully expect to see that quite a bit. Other two are okay.
So out of at least eight outfits, I am excited for at least five of them and a couple solo pieces.
I will be purchasing.
Edit: Forgot Claudette’s gold recolor. I like this and didn’t buy this cosmetic. I’ll be using this on her once unlocked for sure.

You can still get gems in PC, I have a thread of it saved but it has the names of the Survivors on it so I'm pretty sure if I post it here it will get me bannerino ^^;;;
I could screen shot them. They are funny. Just a bit more inconvenient. PS you can also get voice memos: complaints and death threats. Good times.

Honestly console chat is worse than the chat window. I'm on xbox and the fact that people can message you before the game is even over or spam you with salty party invites while you're literally still in the same game they just died in is way more annoying than the chat window that you dont even have to look at.
Yeah, I miss PS4 chats. Some absolute gem conversations and they’re saved.
I’ve also been reprimanded by Playstation... I don’t miss that.
-
This is for players who finished all characters and/or prestiges. If you watch Monto when Deathslinger released, he had 1,000,000 BPs ready, bought the four perks from shrine of secrets for 600,000, and like another million from saved Tomes to unlock a lot of stuff on the character.
pretty niche but still really cool idea and great pathing. Me personally. Still prestiging characters so need the blood points now and want to advance on the Tome as well so will probably just collect them as I go.

Shards can also be used to buy some characters
Or teachables (even from licensed characters). And blood points if you already have the respective teachables.
Shards are pretty awesome and as free as requested.
-
I wonder if this is a nation by nation thing because I know censorship varies massively throughout the world.
-
I feel like the free content you’re asking for is called Iridescent Shards. You can buy a lot of different outfits with them and nothing has to change on the rift.
The free pass is obviously there to mess with you into wanting to complete the rest of the outfits.
