The first rift had by far the hardest challenges. Four pallet stuns in one game? Kill all four survivors in the basement? Escape as Claudette? Nothing compared to that level of difficulty. They literally nerfed the challenges mid-rift.
-
Of course gen rushing is a thing. I just don’t worry about it too much. The first two gens almost always go quick because the survivors spawn on the gens, usually two survivors at two separate gens. They’re going to pop because the killer can only chase one. The other stays behind and does the gen. There’s usually a big slowdown after those and typically the map gets shorter because the gens got done on one side.
Hook rushing is a thing too though and I think we’re all getting a taste of that with PH.
-
You can hit people on pallets. I agree with the last few comments. PH missed. The survivor could’ve just kept running away.
-
Make a lesser form of DS base kit. Bringing DS the perk gives increased duration for the effect.

I'm not even done with level 4 and I'm at 70. I've been done 2-3 weeks ahead of time every rift. The time it takes is perfectly reasonable imo
This has been my experience as well.
They have already nerfed the difficulty of the challenges so now while they originally intended for more games per challenge, we can quickly complete them. Now that we quickly complete them people don’t want to just have to play to progress.
This is why the Devs can’t win these arguments and should take in a little less feedback. The challenge and progression is fun for those who commit to doing them.
-
When I’ve done this it was to be spiteful.
-
They moved the camera to fit his lower, hunched profile and changed his animations to look more like he’s hunched. I personally hope they revert it. Seriously please revert it, but this is my guess on why it’s so different.
-
Claudette, once upon a time, was extremely hard to see in the game. Her clothing was actually ‘nerfed’ about a year ago to make her brighter. The P3 still somewhat blends but it’s not as bad as it originally was and most survivors P3s blend just as well.
Tip for any killers having a hard time with this on PC - change settings to Low. The grass and bushes aren’t as thick and the survivors are more obvious. On console the settings are automatically set at low.
Killers may be complaining because other people complain about her as if she wasn’t nerfed. In that case, yeah its a stigma.
It’s really an unfair judgment at this point but the old school players who dealt with invisidettes may legitimately have like PTSD about it.

Oh weird! It looks like you have to "purchase" the lullaby for the dark chapter but there's no charge???
Correct. I almost made the mistake of paying shards on PlayStation, too. Huntress and David are really great characters.
-
That’s actually a really good nuance to know
-
Huntress is free on PC too. It’s just Doctor and Hag that are free on console, but not PC. Huntress on console has to be ‘purchased’ in the PS store but doesn’t cost anything.
OP - Buy Oni and find Huntress in the console store.
-
There’s a delay but not a movement speed penalty
-
Oh this is just wholesome

I'd have to say 15 minutes and let's bump the 5 second stun to 30 seconds, just to be safe. We have to consider the newer players.
You said it, not me.

The Killer should be the power role. They should be able to do whatever playstyle they want, passive or aggressive. If a SINGLE perk allows you to force the Killer to play passively, then The Killer isn't the power role anymore, which goes against the tone that the game tries to get.
And it doesn't matter if two or three of the twenty-one Killers in the game aren't affected by Decisive Strike, since the rest still suffer tremendously from it. It's like how Pig was when they came out and people were frustrated about gen speeds. They slapped a bandaid on in the form of one Killer, but that didn't solve the problem for the rest of the cast, and it still doesn't and it never will.
Being a better player, killer or survivor, makes you the power role. This game is not auto win. It’s a trial.
I think being a power role killer includes understanding and avoiding being DS’d or just eating the stun and winning despite.

Someone hasn't played at red ranks, where DS is essentially 60 seconds of immunity to most people.
You’re welcome to join me on Discord and we can chat while playing killer.

Ah yes, let's buff a meta perk that allows people to get free unhooks and gen progress without much risk.
Yes. Because the game play it punishes (from an aggressive killer) is the worse of the two evils.
Also, I enjoyed the nurse game play. I’m going to try that build on my nurse.
Also also, Nurse and Spirit’s abilities make it where a person DSing basically doesn’t matter. They catch up so quickly. Especially in the clip’s scenario. Makes it hard to empathize with being DS’d. That wasn’t some ESPN Turning Point situation or anything.
-
The conditions on DS are so specific that it doesn’t take much to play around it. I hope they buff DS. 60 seconds is too short and five second stun is too short for a one time use perk.
-
Plague is a very good killer with at least two meta teachable perks, Infectious Fright and Corrupt Intervention. Many players also enjoy her third perk, Dark Devotion.
-
The price isn’t mandatory. If people don’t buy it they’ll adjust their business accordingly.

God I have a few other killers I want to work on first but this makes me want PH to jump the line.
-
Several streamers consider him top tier. I often feel a killer is bad during my learning curve with that killer. For example, I feel competitive with Legion. It takes time, understanding, and strong perks.
-
Hacking is hacking is hacking.
-
Just for a different perspective: I want to prestige all the other killers I’ve bought first.
I am excited to try him out but pushed it back.
-
I don’t believe you, OP.

Whenever I see tier lists for the game, Billy is always at the top tiers while Bubba is at the bottom. I think they are extremely wrong and that the opposite is true.
Billy's chainsaw is hard to control and rarely gets you a hit. While the mobility you get is a plus, you're still going to have to do chase normally and basically be an m1 killer 95% of the time.
Bubba though has an easy to control chainsaw that actually helps in a chase. He also is great for face camping which honestly makes him at least A tier.
Sorry but Billy is C tier at best.

The issue here is simply that there is a $25 dlc that got released for a $15 game. It's that simple and any arguement about how that's fair is just invalid. Plain and simple.
A lot of games follow this model. Fortnite must really infuriate you since it’s literally a free game.
-
Put me in the ‘things are fine how they are’ bucket.
Some players have mastered the game and make few mistakes. That’s the real complaint behind SWFs. Most SWFs are not good players and that’s why statistically they don’t perform much better then solos.
-
The anniversary event is going to be a two week bloodpoint mania if it’s anything like last year.
-
Yes - depending on the circumstances that is a no no. Sometimes it happens for a goof but an extended period of time is reportable.
-
Coincidentally, the killers who hide from survivors have the best cosmetics: Ghostface and Wraith.

He can use his aoe attack 5 seconds after using it. Has like a 30 meter range and goes through walls. Ya that's not broken at all.
I would say your first step is to learn the killer.

1 good perk in 3 dlcs? hardly a victory
Unfair. Nemesis has become a staple on many insta down killers, most notably Cannibal. Blood Echo is also seeing use on many killers. I haven’t played Deathslinger yet but I see streamers constantly testing out Retribution.
-
Typically it is $8 on console and $7 on steam.

As a new player hopping into a four-year-old game, it sure would be nice to get a leg up on accruing more bloodpoints. I'm actually really surprised that bhvr doesn't have blood hunt events more often. Having at least one a month, or at least one every season would be beneficial
I switched from PS4 to PC at the beginning of January. Between all the Tome challenges and the 1.5x Blood Rush, I have thirteen P3 killers and four P3 survivors in four months.
It actually doesn’t take as much as I feared to catch up.
-
Last year there was a blood hunt followed by giving out better party streamers (103%) called Gasteaux as a common offering. As killer I pretty much got a gasteaux every bloodweb (if not multiples) and survivor a little less often. Is anyone sure what event will be yet? It’s a week away.

Killer is easier than ever. If now STILL people want to have it easier, they really should consider if they are not as good as they think they are.
Gens dont pop in 15 seconds, as long as not every Member brings a BNP and they spawn together. And if you are 15 seconds into the Chase and 2 Gens pop, this means that you spend around a minute to find Survivors, which means that you should consider running something like Whispers and/or learn about the Spawn Points on the Maps.
I am always open for second Objectives, however, I have the feeling that people who complain about Gen Speeds want a second Objective which leads to a Objective Time which allows them (and especially them) to get 4Ks quite consistently...
If for example BHVR introduces a second Objective by collecting fuel for Gens (as an example), I am fine with it, as long as it is not 80 seconds on a Gen + whatever it needs to collect fuel. If fuel collection takes like 20 seconds, Gens should take 60 seconds.
Agreed. Also, bad games happen.
-
Yes, it is okay. Sometimes I have a really bad warm up and this thought crosses my mind. Then I settle in and play better.
If you think gen speeds are going off in fifteen to twenty seconds, I highly recommend you bring a timer. When I realized my ‘really fast’ matches were fifteen minutes long I realized I was just making mistakes, not the developers.
@Blendette_will_Evade said:
Okay so like, as killer I can get looped for say, 15 seconds and by then 1 to 2 gens can pop, I seriously think this sucks and survivors need a second objective that doesn't involve holding m1 for a short amount of time.
-
Sometimes I leave a hook to find a survivor in the distance running for the hook. I go to intercept but sometimes I don’t catch up to them until they reached the hook. This scenario needs a name because it’s not camping.
-
The anniversary event was announced for 6/23/2020 to 7/7/2020. I think Silent Hill comes out tomorrow or Wednesday?
The fourth level of the Tome will release soon too. That’s usually around 900k bloodpoints.

I will never use BBQ. I farm blood points just fine.
I would agree that people think BBQ is overrated in that players think it does far more than just give the killer bloodpoints. If thrilling tremors gave double bloodpoints, but you only get bonus bloodpoints from a single perk, I would 100% switch on all my killers.
-
I’ve played a ton of hours the last few months. Only nice comments so far. Strangers on the internet can be such psychos though.
-
Old Ruin was arguably only a placebo perk and allowed a killer that was going to crush a team to crush them even harder. PGTW can legitimately wreck a high level game when only one or two gens are left. Corrupt I am still feeling out for all killers. My sense is the delay is still only recommended on set up killers like Hag, Trapper, Plague.
-
Why’s that?
-
He’s the greatest proxy camping killer in the game and, no, he cant stop gens too well, but he has the best power to counter exit gate teabagging.
-
If the OoO proves decent at looping, kill everyone around them. It’s hard hiding as object when they’re the last survivor left.

If you don't 4k with legion you are unlikely to get 8k in deviousness. His deviousness is directed related to whether or not the survivors heal, as you don't want to hit injured survivors with your power, in most cases. So if they don't heal and you use your power once or twice, maybe 2k points, but if they do heal and maybe 4-6k points.
Legion receives 250 for each successful M2 attack on a survivor without endurance. Then deviousness for the duration they’re in Frenzy which has a base of 250 but the cooldown resets with each successful M2 hit. Frankly, I agree that Legion does poorly in Deviousness. I find myself intentionally hitting injured survivors with M2 just to farm the deviousness.
I also disagree that Legion accumulates brutality the fastest. I’d say Oni and Ghostface do as two other posters pointed out. They get large brutality bonuses from using their power.
-
Decisive Strike for NOED. Evens both playing fields. Punishes tunneling period and possibly elongates the game for killers.
-
I can kill four survivors with every killer. Part of the fun of having fifteen plus killers prestiged is I can swap between who I want to play by mood. Then when I get my new killer with BBQ or level fifty, I start using them to farm points and learn to play as them.
Truetalent talks about his prior experience with fighting games and I love that he made that connection. By playing all the killers, you learn how to play against them.
I would like to point out to anyone reading this that is getting hesitant, there is a base skill set in chases, mindgames, gen patrolling that works for every killer. It’s not that hard to transition for most killers.
