How many of us would opt into a "no SWF" playlist? I'm seriously asking because I would actually prefer to play against a smaller group of even a few hundred in total than see another SWF group who uses voice chat.
Obviously, because why play the "harder" mode, lol.
Still, pretending SWF teams are impossible to beat seems to be the consensus and it simply isn't true.
Most SWF groups aren't as bad as most generally assume. I've had several games where if I hadn't checked profiles a SWF duo would've gone unnoticed by me. It's just the handful of nightmares like the De-pip squad and the few others that use comms like a SWAT team that warrant concern.
It just seems like a few vocal killers who aren't very good at the game need to make out like every match is 4 flashlights wielding SWF teams that bnp and drop darkest moonlight offerings.

But I dont care anymore, if they will never balance voice comms, thats fine and I will live with it, you can always derank or lobbydodge and avoid most of itThey've honestly done nothing but buff killers recently I have no idea what killer mains have to complain about, you make it like you've never beaten an SWF squad before.
Yes they have fixed a lot of the broken loops, but they have not touched the SWF balance at all.
Of course I have beaten several of those you can beat, but since I dont play billy/nurse, I have faced several ones where I didnt stand a chance
As I said, I accepted that the devs will never change that and are acting accordingly now.
Its one of those problems you gotta live with if you wanna play DBD, just like the peer to peer which is a huge joke aswell
What exactly do you want them to do to "balance" around SWF? They've only made killers stronger, what else do you want, shotguns for your killers?
If they were smart they would give all the survivors an optional in game voice and text based chat so that there was no disparity between solo and SWF then buff the killers around that advantage. Instead we get cookie cutter changes that dont address why SWF is so overpowered. The devs seem to be adverse to taking the simplest and most efficient path in solving this issue.
SWF isn't overpowered though, you can quite easily beat SWF teams without blinking an eye I don't get why it's "overpowered" I have never dodged a lobby because of items, offerings, swf and I reach rank one every season it absolutely bewildered me how people say it's "overpowered".

I think it's the same reason survivors complain about camping, it makes the game less fun to play.
The gameplay is exactly the same whether you're playing against randos or SWF lol.

It's almost like they don't play their own game and haven't experienced it at the highest rank..
SWF isn't hard to beat I honestly don't understand why people act as if no SWF team has ever been destroyed before, if they're SWF and you kill 2 or more then you did well, you don't have to kill all of them for it to be a win, and just because you don't kill all of them doesn't mean they're overpowered lol.

Both sides hit boxes are screwed, killers getting stunned without being near a pallet and survivors getting hit from all sorts of weird angles.

Exposed usually has pretty harsh conditions attached to it, but if you want to call exposed a game ended then it must be overpowered and made weaker.Nickenzie said:I changed the blindness effect a little, I worded it a little better so you can understand what I was actually trying to say. I could absolutely be wrong but I’m sure there isn’t one at all.Yes, there's a big black bubble that EVERY survivor can see even when they are blinded. I want the bubble to be removed when you are blinded so you can't tell where a survivor got hooked at but currently it's not removed and it ruins the point of blindness.Effects are supposed to be hinderances, not game enders.Out of curiosity, have you ever heard of the "exposed" status effect? Hindrance, sure.
Additionally, not seeing far away, losing your ability to hear the terror radius, and losing your aura reading ability doesn't mean "GG". Most killer add-ons that have blindness last for 30 seconds usually and 30 seconds is too little:
-If you are attacked with a blindness hatchet, you can still SEE the killer and losing your ability to hear the terror radius doesn't effect you.
-Not being able to see far isn't required when in a chase, you're supposed to look at the killer and not the sunset.
-30 second blindness is rendered useless overall since it doesn't have enough time to actually hinder the survivor.
If you had Hex Third Seal:
-After a survivor gets off a hook, they won't know if the killer is coming by the terror radius and they can only see so far.
-Auras are blocked and getting off the hook is almost impossible if every survivor is blinded.
-However the Hex can be destroyed at any time and can render your perk slot useless.
not everything has to be super effective against survivors, playing killer isn’t as hard as people on the forums make it out to be, I’m sure you can do fine without buffing everything to the moon and back. -
“Where was you when Myers came out”. What does that even mean? Lmfao - Myers is relatively weak when he doesn’t have a terror radius, he also doesn’t make you deaf he just lacks a large radius at tier 1.Nickenzie said:
I'm taking about that you can only see 24 meters around you, nothing beyond that, period, I'll change it to make it more clear. About not hearing the killer's terror radius, most blindness add-ons that the killer uses only last for 30 seconds. If you are blinded by let's say the Huntress' hatchet's add-on, it's still not gonna be a big deal since you already know that she's there, you don't need a terror radius indication to know that. My changes makes blindness strong when you have it for long periods of times so you'll never know if the killer is coming, you can say that your senses are blinded. If you don't like the deaf idea then where was you at when Myers came out?SenzuDuck said:@Nickenzie said:
Title, the status effect is basically the same as if you didn't have it on you. Sucks, I really wanted this perk to be much much better and all it does is disable your auras. We need to make the status effect better by doing the following:-When a survivor has blindness and another survivor gets hooked, that blinded survivor will not see the black bubble animation around the hooked survivor.
From what I understand blindess as it stand currently prevents seeing where the survivor is even hooked, let alone the black bubble. (Bubbles on hooked survivors are for the benefit of the killer so the survivors can't see exactly where they go, by the way)
-Blinded survivors can only see 24 meters around them until their vision is blocked by darkness. Blindness tiers (I, II, and III) can reduce how far a survivor can see before darkness prevents them from seeing any further.
"until their vision is blocked" are you implying that blindness would be a progressive effect that actually stops the survivors from seeing? Yea, no being blind in a game the relies so heavily on taking a correct path sounds illy.
-Blinded survivor's auras are disabled meaning they cannot see any auras.
Is this not already the case?
-Blinded survivors cannot hear the killer's terror radius.
Blindness making survivors deaf as well as not being able to see (as implied by your post). Sounds like "why would a killer run anything but blindness applying addons).
What's your opinions and feedback?
I think, considering the hook thing and the aura thing are already part of the game you just want blindness to make survivors deaf, and to not be able to see, sounds not fun at all, i absolutely hate being blinded on the game, to also make it deafen you (lol?) and so you actually can't see Id be highly against these changes.
I don't care about the bubble, get rid of it when you are blinded because it renders the blindness status effect pointless when you can where a survivor been hooked at.
and the reason the silent radius on him works is because he’s slow at that tier, any other killer without a terror radius would be awful to play against, which is why terror radius effects are usually limited in time (Tinkerers) or have a condition (M&A).
i just don’t like your suggestions, you asked for opinions so deal with them.
Is there even a bubble when blindness is in effect? I could absolutely be wrong but I’m sure there isn’t one at all.

How do you even make this comparison?
I should be able to kick them, and cost you blight by making it spurt out a percentage of it. The Entity defends its precious bodily fluids.
That would be fair and balanced if they made it so event hooks could be sabo'd.
>
Just remember that sword you are throwing rocks at hanging over your head cuts both ways kiddo.
I personally think they should have made hooks able to be saboed, but respawn within 5-10 seconds.
But comparing a secondary objective like the cankers which gain the killer a substantial amount of extra time in game to hooks is a ridiculous notion.
While it may be annoying for a hook to get saboed it's always been part of the game and removing that feature entirely while giving survivors secondary objectives that gain the killer a lot of time is silly.
Just remember that sword you are throwing rocks at hanging over your head cuts both ways kiddo.
Also have no idea what you mean by this? Kicking cankers would be in no way shape or form "balanced" the cankers literally only help killers but you want to make their life span shorter? Every comment you makes has me face palming even harder.
The only reason you'd want to kick cankers would be to be toxic, survivors have always been able to sabo hooks and while sabo may be used more often in events a short respawn timer on event hooks would be more true to the game.

Then it is an extremely piss-poor test as a game play design test in regards to what is normally talked about. The secondary objective they have in place right now is disconnected from the core game, and farmable and abusable as people have already stated.Whereas the secondary objectives usually discussed, such as generator parts and/or fuel canisters, are directly connected to the core game: Being able to repair and power the generators to then power the gates.
You can't effectively datamine secondary objectives for the core game when using disconnected secondary objectives like this as your source.
And I'm speaking as someone who has done game design. I did it for 12 years.
While I agree it is disconnected from the core game play this is simply a theory and is in no way shape or form true, it's just what I'm thinking, whether it is or not doesn't really matter.
Survivors have always insta died, insta DCed etc, it happens, the same goes for killers DCing they all do it without reason DCs are being dealt with and survivors that go and chase the killer so they can be killed I suggest you maybe report them for unsportsmanlike conduct, I'm pretty sure it falls under that.

This is an event. It is not an attempt to slow down the game permanently. That's a completely different story.Survivors just abuse the mechanics. They get the serum, hooked and die and repeat. That's boring and not fun for killers anyway because survivors have no will to live or survive after the serums. If you think this as a permanent addition would make the game better I don't know anymore.
Whilst I agree this is an event, i do also think it's a test to see the impact of secondary survivor objectives to see how they fit in, if they do at all.
While playing my 15 matches that I had earlier before work not once did I have a random run around, get serum and suicide on the hook - everyone played until he end or their time was up.

Isn't that what killers are supposed to be... Strong and unbeatable? If you don't understand video games, then yes. Killers should be unbeatable forces that the other side stand absolutely no chance against and will thus stop playing the game because it's unfair.
On the other hand - if you understand video games like a large portion of this forum do - you have to understand that while some sides might not like some things they're there to make each side enjoyable and more engaging, while they might be at the expense of the other sides fun, each side can find fun in finding ways around each others things
TLDR; If you think games should be made where only one said can win because they're "unbeatable" you probably don't understand that both sides need to enjoy the game.

Survivors kill themselves on the hook daily, get your Serum, get out, or get your Serum and die. I don't see at that much of an issue, if it's really becoming a deal SWF with friends.

You can't stop farming - this game is about survivors interacting with things and the killer may chose or chose not to kill you, there's nothing BHVR can do if people want to do this.

If your argument holds wouldn't this game have tanked long ago? Survivors have had it sooooo easy. This game is still popular. Now it's our turn.Nah, I play killer and survivor - it's not nearly as hard as the people on the forums make it out to be.
SWF Teams are often some of the easiest to beat when they're all pulling each other off the hooks in front of the killer.
D-strike could use a nerf, I totally agree on that - survivors don't deserve a get off the shoulder free perk after the killer has hit them twice and downed them.
The game is certainly getting a little more challenging for survivors while making it slightly easier for killers but it's never been a truly one sided game - there's always been ways and means to beat each team it just depends on if the killer can capitalise and find the flaws.
It's ok though, enjoy the game.

I also wouldn't really say it's a popular game at all - peak of 16K which was an immediate drop off after that with only one bump, now it averages 300 players, probably due to copyright issues and it's simply not that fun to play really.

I think it's just due to time, they only have so many on the team, the killers outfits look way more complicated and more intricate than the survivors so they went ham making killer outfits while only giving us a couple of survivor outfits.

Slugging Billy or Nurse, or well, any Killer that slugs habitually and uses slugging as a full on strategy.@Tzeentchling9 You’re joking right? There is a HUGE difference between being able to heal a bit faster with Self Care, and full blown insta-downs. Those two are nowhere near comparable to me, the NOED buff far outweighs the buff Self scare got. The speed nerf of NOED was fine, but the insta-down on all levels was just bad. NOED was a crutch for those Killers who had tier 3 already, now it’s a crutch for EVERY Killer who just gets it. This will only promote more hard camping as “LULZ, I camp out one or two players and when you finish the gens, NOED mops up the rest for me.”
Agreed, NOED is really double edged for campers. If a killer camps the response from most, and even myself is "Gen Rush". So if you do all the gens, you're not worried about totems so you're not wasting the time you're getting from the killer camping, but then you have NOED procing on top of that and rewarding the counter for camping which is doing gens. It's really weird to work around.
