Henry (The First) can do; Unknown can do the exact the same, although in a much weaker form than Judgment; Knight can spawn a guard right on top of you; Freddy with Dream pallets (on both floors); Artist with a crow snipe or even a direct hit through windows; Dracula hellfire through gaps; The Lich with his skeletons.
Unknown takes at least 12s of both hits landing, to get value though, much much much weaker lol

we have acknowledged the issues with queue times and we are pretty stuck when it comes to allieviating these, which is why PWYW was implemented.
I'd play way more 2v8 if I had a head on class and a Scene partner class lol
I really really like the class items and the ritual circle this update, also oni exists as a good deterrent for survivor players rn lol -
of the current roster? Oni
what could be potentially added? it's a tough one as there is so many which would be awful to add coz of how badly designed they are⦠I wanna say judgement right now lol -
if you play with a 2nd killer friend, you can tell them to break the turrets for you when they pass by them making your life a lot easier <3 that's what I do for my friend.
-
combined with blessing a totem self care + CoH if it allowed you to use self healing perks within it would approximately be the same time as normal self care (finding a totem, blessing it, then healing yourself would be around or over 40s)
needing to bring 2 perks to achieve this would not be problematic at all, sure you get the faster heals after the boon is up but it'd be akin to strength in shadows where you have to go to an area with the perk equipped to get value.
Strength in Shadows + botany is a great example why self care + CoH wouldn't be too ridiculous but that's just me -

Ig judgement is power creeping Pyramid head but she requires a decent amount of skill to hit the long ranged shots.
She is 4.4 while Pyramid head is 4.6 and her power is much worse in chase then the M2 of pyramid head, which is also much easier to use as well.
P.head's long range shot is even easier to dodge though and that's an iri addon, he also doesn't apply torment with his m2
even if she is slower, it doesn't really matter as she can always reach and hit you, is always a threat. -
Unknown for 2v8 please please <3
-
agreed, Myers isn't known for dashing, he is known for being creepy and jumpscaring lol
If anything he should have a relocation tool to keep jumpscaring lol -
yeah I'd like to test them too, so many cosmetics recently have had bugs, I'm tired of reporting them over and over.
Kate has a vertex on her maria renard skin which makes her thigh look sharp.
Maria's (silent hill) back is all messed up too
plus some characters look so dirty or have horrible physic glitches etc you only really see in match, or broken faces.
All in all, they need better quality control on their cosmetics, rn it's kind of abysmal for a game thats this popular. -
Yeah the survivor perks are kind of mid overall, it's a real shame, they are just so afraid of making good perks.
Celestial witness on the other hand has so much good synergy with builds.
it's kind of a real shame lol -

This is just a suggestion, do not hate if you think it is bad.
Self Care takes a total of 46 seconds to heal, I just think it sucks that if a killer runs a perk like Sloppy Butcher then the perk is unusable. I have two suggestions for this perk.
- Buff the heal speed back to the old 100% (16 Second Heal)
- Add a 60 second cooldown between usage.
Boon : Circle of Healing is a strong perk but I have a rework suggestion to make it a little bit more unique.
- Reduce healing speeds to 50% but make it so where you can self heal.
- Recule healing penalties by 50%.
I'd rather circle of healing just work on medkits and self care considering diminishing returns exists now

What's the mistake with nurse?, she had 5+ blinks at one point and only gets nerfed (her best add-on got recently nerfed thankfully).
that's the point I'm making, they've already went through the process once, and she still gets aura reading perks nerfed because she exists rather than limiting her in general.
Then there was giving her the lunge addon that was problematic for quite a while too recent years. -
I really want to love Judgement but recent killer releases have been hella overtuned it feels like. She is really close to being a fun killer to face, but they are making the same mistakes they made with Nurse and are still making.

Thanks for the feedback here, folks! I'm happy to pass along your feedback about the time requirement on this being a point of friction. That aside, though, is the effect something you find interesting or valuable?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4116011#Comment_4116011
You're correct. Survivors that complete the circle will receive its effects.
I love the circles fantasy, it's great for early game but it really doesnt offer much for late game.
I feel you could maybe make it more valuable for like late game interaction with more risk like maybe exposed while doing it or something. I'm not sure what though it's just an idea.
I don't think it needs to be faster or slower though. -

Ah yes, because clearly, killers control what perks survivors take or what loops they pick.
Oh wait, they don't, survivors dictate that.
Killers should do their best to kill survivors, and survivors should do their best trying to survive. Both sides should use all ingame-methods available to do so.
Trying to manifest "rules" into existence because one subjectively does not like a playstyle is pointless. They kinda do though, they get to lobby shop seeing items and the survivors they are playing against even getting to explore their steam or psn profiles and message the survivors if they so wish, they can use lightborn to outright deny flashlights and the like.
You could even argue they get to pick what flavour of the month killer they can play, there is nothing random other than map/perks for the killer and even then there is only a few meta builds for survivor now so its kind of predictable.
It's dated and trash design. -
I like elusive but it's too short, I think the effect should be longer but the endurance stay 10 seconds.
casual players want healed, it should last like 30s to allow for a heal and a reposition, ofc I leave the hook instantly but some people follow you and basically lead the killer to you anyways. -
Play scout if you want the salt, you get a key and give other people a chance to get it too via rummage
2v8 is a fun goofy mode, as long as you are having fun who cares. I think some people take this mode too seriously lol -

Ah yes that explains why your post have more likes then dislikes.
This forum used to be killer sided like 5 years ago. Now definitely survivor sided. Reddit is more reasonable then this basement
Honestly you need to be quiet with this statement, the active members here play both sides.
If anything it's Us vs Them posters like you who belong in the basement. -
We shouldn't be ignoring the skill ceiling just because of casual players, that's not a good faith arguement.
-
It's not even the SB nerf making them more viable, its celestial witness + STBFL lol
-
Why not just make it proc if you have assisted in the gen repair?
Kind of like red herring/help wanted/Machine learning -
I enjoy boons, with a map Circle of Healing, Shadow Step, Steadfast to make up for lost time and Flow State to really cut down blessing time later on, buff healing/unhook speeds.
they are really effective for a support build to help macro play. I really love them. I do wish they had a radius increase though.
I moved over to them as my support build until I get something akin to vigil again that helps with debuffs. -
Most people who play plague these days run her strongest addons, like the one which reveals your aura everytime you vomit paired with stealth builds or the like, or the one that gives her red vomit on a duration.
If you have healing builds just aggressively cleanse so long as she isn't camping, people cling way too heavily to old stay injured metas and she can more often than not struggle to keep up at good loops with her power, not to mention a good stun brings her out of purge.
More people need to cleanse if they dont want to deal with broken, red is an inevitability and not to mention she snowballs really hard if you don't. just cleanse away from the killer, coz if you make her go red her macro goes out the window (you can force her into red by everyone using all the available fountains)
Plus its a free heal mid chase if she leaves you. IDC what anyone says, red is only super dangerous in really really good plagues and also on bad maps. -
More should be done for those with accessibility issues, I'd love to play more with my friends who struggle with sound they avoid this game for very good reason.

Thank you for reaching out to Support in the meantime and sharing your feedback here! We don't believe this is directly tied to anti-cheat and Support is the best route for now, as we do want to look into the issue for players.
Regardless it's still an anti-cheat update related issue, this should never have been tested on live servers and you should compensate those affected due to that.
if it was opt in I'd understand, but it's not as far as I'm aware. -
Knight isn't hard to play at all, he just doesn't have any skill expression or variance to how you play him lol
-
I got my first crash in a while but it happened on the endgame screen when the match was over, sometimes you gotta wonder how much they actually test their game.
I really dont appreciate making us the test subjects for the anti cheat, that should be done on ptb. -
This sounds fun, I'd also love this in the form of cosmetics for items too, like turning the flashlight into Aurora's starlight charm for the exile.
DBD has a lot of potential for player expression -
I could see a boon doing it not so problematic, honestly.

And survivors don't require anti-tunneling or exhaustion, or gen rushing perks, it just helps.
But I think some people are just too afraid to let go of their safety blanket when it comes to survivor.
Isn't this post about killers specifically tho, I could apply the same to survivor yes but never once did I deny survivors dont have similliar issues.

Legion got completely reworked not just refined. The equivalent for judgement would be making his power only put survivors into mending rather than downing them.
How is the core concept of the killer fun? Its hella boring for survivors cause there's no looping, no adherence to standard gameplay, the killer ignores half of their perks, its easy to get tunneled. You can get crossmap sniped constantly with extremely unreliable counterplay. You cant play altruistically at all against this killer. You can't go for bodyblocks. You can't use windows or pallets, survivors main rescourse, at all. You can't flashlight save. You can't use pallets. What is there thats fun or interactive about this killer exaclty?
You can body block her, by bodyblocking her herself, to obstruct her vision of the one you are trying to protect, I take m1's to save others with duty of care overcome all the time against her.
You're just talking in extremes, there is issues, you're just being really negative about her. -

Iβve played Dead by Daylight for several years on both Killer and Survivor. Iβm not a top-level competitive player, but I understand the fundamentals of both sides and have enough experience to notice when a killer feels limited by their kit rather than by player mistakes.
This isnβt meant as a general βbuff Killerβ or βgens are too fastβ post. My concern is that some killers, particularly older or setup-heavy killers, feel dependent on slowdown perks simply to have enough time to use their power.
Meanwhile, stronger or newer killers can often function perfectly well with little or no slowdown and use their perk slots for chase, information, anti-heal, or just fun builds.
I think basic match pacing should come from the base game, while perks should primarily change how you choose to play.
Gameplay Tweaks
- Give killers a small amount of baseline early-game protection. For example, temporarily block the generators farthest from the killer for roughly 30β45 seconds. This could end early after the first down or another meaningful interaction.
- Scale that protection based on the killer. Setup-heavy killers such as Trapper or Hag could receive more setup time, while highly mobile killers would receive less.
- Reduce the dependence on slowdown perks. Once some pacing exists in the base game, perks such as Corrupt Intervention, Pain Resonance, Dead Manβs Switch, etc. could be adjusted so they are choices rather than necessities.
- Use perks for playstyle instead of repairs. A Legion player should be able to build around anti-healing, injured survivors, chase, or information without feeling punished for not bringing multiple generator perks.
- Use offerings to specialize pacing. An offering could increase opening setup time, strengthen a small baseline hook-regression mechanic, or trade some early protection for another benefit.
- Legion quality-of-life change: After a successful Feral Frenzy hit, provide a Houndmaster-style trail toward the nearest survivor not in Deep Wound. While Legion is actively following that trail, Frenzy could drain much slower or temporarily pause until approaching that survivor. This would mainly help on huge maps without increasing Legionβs ability to actually secure downs.
- Trapper should receive setup assistance rather than simply more lethality. His biggest problem is often the time required to collect, place, reset, and reposition traps while survivors are progressing generators.
- Use perkless testing when evaluating killers. Have experienced players test each killer repeatedly with no perks and no add-ons. The question shouldnβt be whether they win every matchβit should be whether their base kit gives them enough time and agency to actually play their intended power.
Closing
The goal isnβt to make every killer equally strong.
The goal is for every killer to feel like a complete character before four perks are equipped.
Base game = reasonable pacing.
Perks = playstyle.
Add-ons = power customization.
Offerings = match strategy.Players should be thinking:
βWhat four perks would be fun with this killer?β
rather than:
βWhich slowdown perks do I have to equip before Iβm allowed to use this killerβs power?β
You don't require slowdown, it just helps as you literally say. I run chase builds often and sometimes the match just snowballs.
I think some people are just too afraid to let go of their safety blanket when it comes to killer. -
Honestly I dont see why not, I really want to see more scratched mirror games, I love them. so why not give it to another killer who is more accessible.
Anyone gatekeeping this is denying new players fun. -

I was playing fine and good September 1st, and now on September 2nd (around 3:30 AZ USA time) my game suddenly canβt seem to function, Iβll get into a match and everything seems fine until the killer (playing as a survivor) gets near me, then my game starts to lag and my survivor will teleport around the map, Iβve never had these issues before and Iβve tried changing my settings to lower things but still the lag, currently the game is unplayable for me
it might be Denuvo the new anti cheat they added, there is a pinned thread on it, be sure to post it on there!
-
Yeah I feel one perk denying an entire toolset and playstyle is really bad design, it should counter them but not deny them outright.
-
I feel it causes a lot of input lag especially on laggier matches, unless you changed something in the hotfix. 10.1.0 felt amazing even on 100ms etc (you still get hit from a distance away but interacting with lockers etc felt fine unlike before). idk if this change has anything to do with it but interactions feel laggier again.
I don't think I've encountered any other issues though. -

Old legion was unique should we bring them back because they were unique? Or how about ptb twins? Or how about old nurse? Old spirit?
Legion also got refined though, how about you stop inserting words in other peoples mouths and just say your own opinion.
I'm not saying they shouldnt get changed but the core concept of the killer is fun, it just needs changes. -

I did outline one of those conditions could just a heal which in your words would count as being earned passively in the game. I'm not asking to tie it to chests or something silly like that, a heal is a more than acceptable condition.
Sorry I'm generalising tbf I just don't trust them with the likes of road life etc when it comes to support perks.

Is it true it's running both anti cheats at the same time?

You mean when they nerfed clowns base hinder, hinder linger, flask of bleach, ether 15% and cigar box at the cost of making yellows slightly stronger and a 0.5 second faster reload? He's still a side grade compared to before when they tried to gut pinks. And even then, he's still at best mid B tier in the current state of the game.
STBFL's buffs and the new obsession perks really help him out rn tbh

I just wish BHVR put more focus into what we already have. There's so much really cool current content that just feels left behind.
this 100000 percent, we need more focus on what makes the game awesome. More viable and interactive killers (add QoL to spirit for goodness sake for hard of hearing and no headphone players and fix Houndmaster bugs) and more ways to play survivor (invocations and teamwork perks are like :stare:)
Fix the netcode as well would go such a long long looooong way (the survivor client sided interactions are an amazing start, cant wait for killer)
So much could be refined to make this game from a good game to an amazing game, idk why it's so hard to understand polish goes a long way.
It's just always handled so poorly it's the execution which is the issue, the QoL initiative is a great example of that and it all stems from really poor communication at times when it counts, I do think they are improving though, but just keep communicating there is no harm in that, can also just clarify if they get something wrong. -

I never said it had to be an overly high cost, it could just be something relatively simple like just performing a heal to get a stack or something like that. You have to keep in mind with survivor perk balancing you always have to take cost into consideration because four survivors in the game so more powerful effects should naturally have higher costs associated with them.
that's just irritating design that doesn't feel good to use, usually the perk is dead if it requires a time or resource commitment thats not just earned passively if history of the game is anything to go by.
