I would rather it just not affect exhaustion, exposed or hindered at all tbh. Sure keep mangled, hemorrhage, blindness, oblivious at a 30-40% rate but we should have a perk that actively buffs exhaustion while reducing the downsides of other powerful perks like Shoulder the Burden.
This is literally all I want, something that helps others with debuffs that often lead to an team mates early sacrifice (I'd say tunneling but it's not necessarily the right term).

Mr. Waternoose's wife from Monsters Inc lmaoooo and I love her for it, sorry
-
Survivors waste resources to deal with you guards, if guard despawns you can just use said guard to break the pallet after right? I see it as a win potentially.
I personally wish the guards were stunnable like nemmy zombies, just coz I want to hear their laughing screaming asses cut short by a plank of wood. -
What really angers me is we have no alternative now for dealing with debuffs even if its a specific perk tailored to specific debuffs.
Bake faster status effect cleansing into Circle of Healing or something, like wth, why murder a supportive playstyle in cold blood with ZERO alternatives. I can understand the reason of it deals with too much, but do something or communicate your plans instead of just ripping it from us and going silent.
irritating. -
We really need an official response in regards to backfilling and their plans to address it or if it has already been addressed, especially incase it was addressed with the new mmr
-
For the record I mean this one, I think the way its used to dispel in the exile realm could be really cool as a flashlight!
-
Anyone who thinks this change is a good one I'll never understand, there was a better way to nerf it. It's barely its namesake as a perk anymore.

Oh, that..
Those accessibility and quality of life changes started to be slowly removed once the game went F2P on other platforms, such as Epic or elsewhere.
You could say, that we can't have those accessibility options because the game is currently balanced around competitive portions of the playerbase. As much as I hate admitting that I am half deaf myself, it is unfortunately necessary that no one's gonna hold my hand and help me with the difficulties that I face because of that.I've used to play Spirit when I wasn't half deaf, but when it happened.. Yeah, no.
I can't hear what's going on from left side and behind me, no matter what do I do. I do hear some annoying sounds, but my brain doesn't register them as sounds, and as such I can't play Spirit properly whatsoever. The problem at hand is, those accessibility features are in a direct conflict with the themed and on-going competitive integrity.
And that competitive integrity isn't going away anytime soon due to the game having implemented SBMM system already. You can't have anyone judging individual cases for people with disadvantages such as myself. It's impossible.
And you can't offer anyone any in-game advantages because then there exists the common argument that „if they can have it, then I wanna have it aswell!“This is exactly what I mean though, they could make her more accessible to play AS and AGAINST and the game would be far better off with it. She should be more accessible for those that really enjoy the character.
It's about time we start updating the game to be not like super hand holdy but more accessible for all, even if it's like just slight kicks in the dirt thats every now and then or moving fog etc.
I'm hoping that's what they are aiming to do in the new version of the game. -

she has directional audio which back in the day was the reason why she went from s to a
If you read above I literally say that, but she needs more, I think she'd still be good even with a way to help visually track her a little. It's just creating an obstacle for people who may not be able to hear her as well as others one reason or another.
if she struggles then all the reason to buff her to compensate but this should be done to help people, it's no different to dredge making noise and audio tells despite making it hard for you to see also.
We need to do more for dated design -

I'm worried that spirit would require some of her addons un nerfed because she would be required to bulldoze survivors with sheer numbers again because she'd be impossible to lose to otherwise. So I'm not sure what needs to be done for the survivor end for the hearing impaired.(accessibility aside, Spirit is one of the more fair and well balanced killers we have)
on the killer end we should definitely bring back Father's Glasses that addon was a staple for deaf people and imo I preferred facing Father's Glasses compared to Dried Cherry Blossom.
the tell doesn't need to be like obvious small dust clouds which are every now and then would still be hard to track, but just throw people a bone who are maybe arent running headphones
I think it's necessary to make her a very well designed killer, whatever we need to compensate her with -
@Arcturus said:
Yeah I've seen a lot of people mention that Spirit should have had like footsteps in power (maybe like dirt getting kicked up) rather than sound cues when she launched. I think that change could still be made while keeping the sound cues everyone is used to by now, and they can balance it out by making her recharge and speed addons partial basekit or something.
She was going to have it added when they made her sound directional, It's already possible with grass etc, Make it more consistent its not too much she moves at 7m/s there is no excuse for it.
Even with visibility it's basically a dash which synergises with m1 perks, especially with the STBFL buff again. -
@100PercentBPMain said:
last time I enjoyed an M1 killer they got deleted from the game for m1ing a little too hard (Skull Merchant 2: Electric Boogaloo)
I think m2s are just easier to balance around. M1 heavy killers are incredibly feast or famine, or are too oppressive if they are actually viable.
they are starting to see a resurgence on some killers with the STBFL buff I am finding. That was one of the perks which really enabled their meta back in the day.

Correct. In my opinion. Her beams are quite flexible when it comes to dodging them. Its telegraphed up to 25+ meters away. (I think its actually 30. I could be wrong though) In addition you can go to statues to repent. Most survivors do not when they are hit across the map. They choose to greed the gen or wait till the last second until its too late and she's right on top of the survivor.
When I get halfway across the map - I go to a statue and repent asap. I don't wait and I can tell you most survivors are waiting WAY too long to do anything about it much like Sadako's condemn stacks.
That much is true, I've personally had no trouble going to a statue to start removing the Heresy, I also find a good strat if you want to use your hook perks is to take the m1 from from her instead of dodge the beams, if she refuses to m1 then she is forced to prolong the chase really awkwardly as its really hard for her to do close close range shots.
I do think there is maybe pain points for both sides they could perhaps refine.
That aside myself? I do enjoy going against her. -

Due to judgement not being 4.6 and her beam goes 60 meters. Sure you can do map wide if you want with an addon but the survivors get the benefit of seeing the aura of the beam by another 200% in addition to the recent buff, so essentially. Anywhere you will see the beam.
PH should never be able to apply it on his attack. We tried that. It was dangerous. Too dangerous. He is able to zone immensely, m2 fake, and close in on opponents much much easier. Judgement however really struggles at close range.
So basically coz she moves slower but has a much longer reach she isn't an issue in applying compared to the killer who is also deemed bad if he can't hit his m2's which are hard to control.
It doesn't make sense to me, she can zone crazy well too, just look at good players with her. -
Also what comes to mind is how short Dead Hard for distance was, and how that was some huge issue too. I hate facing against current Dead Hard more than old Dead Hard 10 times over.

That's user error, when someone interacts with a shrine to rescue a banished surv they will appear near the shrine. So that can happen if someone triggers a shrine under her nose, which happens inordinately often, but that's a survivor misplay
It also happens a lot against your will in solo Q, which is a huge issue you can't exactly control

If she banishes survivors they can be pulled from basically anywhere on the map meaning she can't tunnel easily. If she hooks them instead then they activate as normal.
I've seen people spawn on top of her multiple times
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
There's this really cool killer that came out about 6 years ago called Pyramid head that can do the same thing.
He counters every single perk. Wanna list all the killer perks they cant use either?
It's not really the same because he doesn't apply it on his attack, but by his traps.
The issue here is Judgement applies it on her main projectile. -

-
I don't even play Wesker, I enjoy playing against him and i'm sad I don't really see him as much anymore
-
I think if it revealed other survivors to each other also it'd be like the altruistic version of Quick Gambit. Quick Gambit is an objective orientated perk, this could be the healer version.

My issue is that no flashlights, DH doesn't activate and neither does DS. Seriously we are 4 patch works away from them just tying up survivors and just letting the killer smack us and hook. So unfun
I know people are downvoting you but it's kind of bs how many perks are denied when you think about it. She isn't hard to loop like some people claim, though she really doesn't have much ways to interact with her as it stands.
That said I'm not saying her exile should count as hooks, I just think it should have been like Pyramid heads where she had to apply her heresy by another means than just landing her beam. lol
Counter as it stands rn is to just take the m1 and go down normally so someone can attempt a save if you want to use your perks, if you run into her while she is charging her beam she'll have no choice but to cancel and m1.
BHVR need to stop doing anti-interaction killers thanks -
I'm seeing so many people get hit by the most obvious beams ever, especially times where people bundle up on a gen on the other side of the map and all get hit at the same time coz they arent paying attention, don't care to learn. So funny.
-
I think it should be reverted honestly lol why take it over anything else.
-
Did I really make a thread on this? I honestly can't remember, I didn't really play on PTB this time. I did take part in a discussion the other day about third seal working with her "Hooks", which is interesting because are they hooks or are they killer posessions? Is it a bug or not?
-
@GroovieAshes said:
You're supposed to do Gens, dodge snipes and quit running hook Perks and don't bring flashlights.
fun game!
The flashlight part, is the one which always bothers me, it feels like the devs do everything in their power to make them really not enticing to use at all.
She kind of has the pyramid head issue where there was that ptb where his hits granted torment affliction allowing him to exclusively use cages. -
@ShatteredGlasses said:
You are wrong. Boon: Illumination, Detective’s Hunch, Extrasensory Perception and Still Sight also reveal chests.
Oh you right, still it's perks needed to reveal them, which is the issue I have, when I bring a chest build sometimes I don't want to run plunderers but instead like moment of glory
Also I agree with things like map rework being odd, I feel it needs revisited.
@jesterkind has a good point about using the beam of light to reveal the windows effect.
But yeah I just wish I could use maps to get my chest build up and going, coz sometimes I use keys but I still need to know where the chests are with a perk. -
It makes the lunge feel like I'm underwater and really heavy lol

Exactly why the system doesn't focus on kills and escapes on its own anymore, your own progress in the match is counted heavily - so your own chases etc.
I feel like if players know how it works then it'd be easier for you to get feedback on what its flaws are too

It's designed to hide hooks and the statues effectively work as hooks and again with two people in exile up to 6 statues activate so it's not like it's impossible to free everyone.
true, maybe that is what they were thinking with it.

To be fair:
It takes 14 seconds to bless a dull totem + wasted time to find one.
8.18 seconds saved on a gen with the steadfast boon….
Ultimately its a garbage perk. Also killer can take out within 1 seconds.
I find it's not great on its own for sure, but it helps make having multi boons more worthwhile especially combined with Flow state in the late game.
So like i use atm: Map + Flow State + Circle of Healing + Shadow Step + Steadfast to play macro with boons, creating a safe objective focused area/room. I also get to make really crazy late game saves with the 50 percent unhook speed etc.
Also it functions like reverse call of brine slowing down passive regression, which can be huge in late game situations, this perks great in the right hands, just not in others.
My bless speed is like 8s or so on the final gen with flow state -

Which the perk is designed to deny…that's an hex too which means it can be cleansed
It's not designed to deny killer possessions against a killer who just came out especially. I'd be careful using a perk that's bugged in that way as you can get action taken against you for it.
Just be careful incase it is a bug -
I think he has a rework on the way, his power showcase states on one of the killer tips, his bound cooldown is reduced the more survivors are infected
Unless this is something i had no idea existed for Wesker. -

Removing endurance/tunneling, slugging is strong coz of mobility. Works well with Dissolution and Blood Favour which makes tunneling off hook even more effective.

You misunderstood me. It didn't matter what killer I faced. That combo works on every killer. I just wanted to tell what I experienced by myself.
I'm not misunderstanding, I think it's fine other killers have this as an option. I'm yet to see it break the game, if a perk gets nerfed "because of nurse". Just deal with her, she shouldn't be denying every killer an option for hit and run/pressuring playstyles.
That's just my stance on it, that's why I agreed I think the perk combo is strong synergy wise and I don't have an issue with it, I have an issue with aura reading on nurse. -
@Aven_Fallen said:
I dont really see the point of reverting Lightborn. While I am not a fan of the Perk (I think it is not needed as Killer and it should also not remove Flashlights completely), the version before also made it basically impossible to blind the Killer. Sure, the Killer was not completely immune, but they would need to stare into the Flashlight for several seconds to get blinded, way longer than any animations the Killer has to do.
So from this point, there is not really a difference between current Lightborn and the version before the current version.
That just highlights in general the issue, but at least the old version was tuneable, new version just isn't.
As it stands the perk is just not healthy, I know a lot of people who play in the community who just get really annoyed when lightborn is in play. We literally have builds like Champion of light and residual manifest which just don't work period, flashbang too.
I think it's time to be fair here, the aura reading lightborn provides is strong enough to justify it even. -
I played against one who could do the close range shots really well and they was terrifying and had great long range pressure.
I feel boons really mess her up though, shadow step circle of healing lets you reset from her long range pressure really easily, I've been using those 2 with steadfast and Flow state for faster boons and they have a hard time unless I'm focused out. -
I adore playing against her so far <3 I really enjoy dodging the deadly pringles tubes

I get your point but Trail of Torment is counterable, this combo isn't. You can get closer to the killer but then one of your mates will become the Obsession and Oblivious for 60 seconds, not really a difference. I had a recent match against a Nurse who played these perks and I was literally oblivious 70 % of the match. The problem is not the combo itself, but that it triggers too often.
I agree the combo is very strong, but maybe it's time we need to nerf the nurse honestly, she is the problem.

I also have a dumb theory that these Castlevania badges might mean another Castlevania character is coming sometime later. As I doubt they just contacted konomi to approve the badges without making any deals for new content.
The last time konomi released all the silent hill legendary badges, along with the xeno queen and rain. Later on we got Hudson and Hinako.
True, I really hope so

I'm still hoping for a Claire badge too, I really love the new castlevania ones, they are cool especially Alucards new one.

I didn't even notice other tabs for any of the killers, are they on the video? It wasn't the most clear when viewing it for the first time
-
The name of it needs changed, what are you keeping vigil of. That's the part that bothers me.
-
Yeah I keep getting killers from outside the region really often, like really often on off peak hours.
-
Thank you for the clarification, I've moved over to boon builds to support others so I'm looking forward to trying steadfast and salvations cry to see if I can find a new fav perk.
Tomorrow is going to be fun! -
I love flow state for boons which are irritating to get rid of late game, I always have one up coz of how much time it cuts off a bless when I reach 30 percent, it's nice. Plus I also get to heal others faster and unhook faster in the late game.

Thats exactly what I used it for, to help with anti heal for people. I have a feeling there will be something on the way coz at one point wicked was going to cleanse debuffs before they changed it.
So I still have hope for a perk designed for my playstyle, rn though I don't have anything to help with cleansing debuffs
