losing this community just as Halloween arrives feels like terrible timing
Speaking of, trying to talk in Halloween's Discord has made me all the more discouraged about losing the forum tbh… Anything I have said was buried in less than 30 seconds to people talking about everything else besides the game. Actively looking at DBD's Discord doesn't look much more hopeful. This sucks.

I'll check the Twitter for news and updates. That's it.
It may not seem like it from my number of posts, but I've been on the forums since 2018. I check this place nearly every day, lurking and occasionally posting when I feel like being funny or I'm running into an issue with bugs/the newsletter/etc. It's not much but this is the only platform where I engage with the Dead by Daylight community. Hell, it's the only site where I post publicly in general besides my friends' YouTube channels to boost their engagement.
I don't think I even fully grasp yet how much I'm going to miss this place, but it already really hurts.
I feel exactly the same way! I check and read everything here every single day. I probably know you guys all more than you know me because I seriously read EVERYTHING. I only started finally feeling confident enough to begin posting myself within the last year and now this 😭

I don't even know what to say. I get the decision from a business standpoint, but this is where I first found my footing in the DBD community, so I'd be lying to say this doesn't feel like being disconnected from it all over again. I enjoyed the longer form discussions versus the short, often aggressive banter in these other named social alternatives. Not to say we couldn't get ruffled feathers here too, but at least it rarely ever got personal. I can't say I've seen that very often elsewhere, which was a huge reason I finally decided to start speaking here at all after a year of lurking and checking out the vibes.
That said, I am already in the discord, just never talked because of how fast all the chats moved. Felt like trying to talk to a group of your friends who were busy having their own conversation. I hope that feeling changes somehow.
Thanks to everyone here for making me feel welcome and giving me something to engage with on slow work days. This truly will be missed. ❤️

aahhhh the forum has received an update…thanks for letting me know that changed as well, I'll go and see what I can do to re-adjust it.
Was glad to see this response because I did in fact see a mistake I made in a comment about an hour ago and couldn't fix it. Thank you for looking into it 🥰

With killer queue times like this (approximately) I understand why there is no MMR consideration, though I understand your frustration. They need to throw survivors into lobbies as fast as possible to keep the killer queues as low as possible and this is still what we're looking at.
-
I wish I could help validate your concern on PC, but I can say I've been experiencing stutters for weeks now on console. When it first started, once or twice a gaming session, my character would stutter for a half second, stopping whatever action they were doing. Mostly happened in chase and istg I'd just completely stop moving for that half second, losing all chase pressure I had. Happened mostly survivor, but would sometimes affect kiler.
Now this issue is happening multiple times every single game for both roles and it's truly infuriating. I'm glad I'm not experiencing the complete inability to game like many have been reporting, but this isn't making the games I am able to play very enjoyable.
-
I play (and enjoy) a lot of solo que survivor and while yeah, it's more challenging than playing with your friends in general, this killer to me has not affected my ability to loop. In fact, she's quickly become one of my favorite killers to loop. Agree with @MiseryandCompany that hiding and refusing to engage certainly isn't how you'll ever get better against her.
You mention it's hard for survivors, but do you have any idea how hard it is to play as her? And you mentioned Houndmaster who is well known to suffer from bugs on top of her difficulty to control as well. I just wonder if this opinion comes from a place of having never played her.
-
That's so odd because I've been seeing them nearly constant. Of the approximately 10 matches I played last night, all but one game were Judgement players.

Survival points aren't awarded for the stuff you quoted. They're kinda finicky to get. Best waybis run inner strength, you get big survival points for cracking totems and self heals. Inoften max survival even if i die.
They're usually awarded for self preservation actions like struggling in killers grip and on hook, self heals, totems and some killer object interactions. They don't accrue for being alive like boldnes points do for being in tr.
Yeah, a link was shared a bit further up that broke everything down that applies to the survival category and for everything I did do, I genuinely didn't do a single thing in survival which is wild 😅
I've got all characters in the game P3 already, so I don't necessarily care about points maxing atm; I just didn't understand how for a full game the points could be so low and just wanted clarity. I will however keep this build in mind whenever new characters drop and I need some quick points 😊

I’m confused. You want perks to pull from a shared pool of tokens? What about perks that start with 5? Wouldn’t that immediately make Devour lethal?
Imagine on survivor running Potential Energy (which gets 20 tokens max) with literally anything. For just a handful of seconds, you could max stack all three of your other perks and still have a pool to pull from using Potential. Distortion would basically deny aura reading the entire game. Sole Survivor would benefit similarly. Fast Track, Hyperfocus, and Stakeout would be absolutely broken (Fast Track granting a continuous stacking speed boost along with Hyperfocus, and Stakeout guarantying that you don't miss maximum staking).
Definitely a reason token pooling is not in the game.

Here you can see Score Events, especially the Survival Category:
https://deadbydaylight.wiki.gg/wiki/Score_Events#Survival-0
The only thing strange here would be that Pallet Drops grant 200 Survival BPs. So you probably did not drop any Pallets?
Right, I thought about that after your response and realized most of my loops were around tall walls (thus chase took a while to start) and I only vaulted a couple times. Never threw pallets the whole match.

First of all, I appreciate the reply, given the massive spam of down votes without trying to present an argument of sorts is rather cowardly of the other forum members.
Of course, if I had a VOD, I would show it, but was not recording anything atm and its impossible to translate gameplay into purely words.
You make valid points, looking back, I did not disclose certain details such as I intentionally did not hit Kwon because I knew he had Lithe, he did not use it during the rotation (since he had good distance on me) so I intentionally tried to focus Alan as he had DH. It was probably the best call I had on the go, since an injured Kwon still could lithe to gate from that point, but this is more or less simply unlucky perk matchup rather than off the hook haste being a problem.
I understand basekit hook protections during mid game, but imo endgame should have its own special rules, since its super dependent on how well survivors performed mid game. Preventing tunnel outs and surviving as 4 naturally comes with the benefit of having 3 people who can reset, open gates, pressure the save etc, but if the killer managed to remove a survivor or two before than, then it should not compensate for the lack of survivors. Basekit endurance and haste basically ensures that the unhooked person can hold W to gate from the other side of the map, especially against a no mobility killer who has no means to two tap with m2. Maybe make it 5%, I do not know, theres also the case of immediately having your exhaustion perk up in that case eitherway, so you are virtually untouchable if you have SB/Lithe even without haste honestly.
Ah! Yes, Kwon having Lithe definitely changes things and would make me a lot more stressed out on how to go about that ending for sure 😅
Gameplay completely aside, thank you for the kind reply and the input. I play 50/50 survivor and killer and I don't say that to make my opinion sound more valid at all, just to say I see both perspectives in this, which was why I was firstly wanting your thoughts on what change you could see happening.
This is a hard one because changing the rules specifically for endgame for haste could be seen by some as the other side of the same coin of handholding, just for killers. But I also know how awful it is playing killers with weaker power and little mobility in general too. I play Billy most of the time, and the exact scenario you laid out would've been a totally different ballgame for him as I could've run ahead of both players and cut them off.
If we went ahead and entertained the thought of reducing haste in endgame, maybe it could be specific percentages based on remaining alive survivors? For 3-4 survivors maybe 5-7% and 2 or less the full 10%? Or it could be proximity based, say if any survivors are within a certain distance, you get the lower haste percentage in exchange for that body being there to help protect?
It's a bit of a slippery slope because in your same scenario, except with my killer, lowering their haste is just extra help for me and a senseless nerf for them. It leans more to me towards the argument that has been ongoing for sometime about the power creep DBD killers are experiencing and what can be done to balance that unfortunately.
-
Just based off your description without seeing the actual gameplay, there's 2 things I would've done differently that would've likely changed the game for you.
- Slugged Ace, THEN pressured the Kwon and Tapp at gate. I would've focused on injuring the Kwon which then forces both standing survivors to make the hard decision to chance the save injured or run out. If Ace was slugged far from the gate, I would force them both out or at least attempt to down one of them as well and hook them. If Ace was slugged very close, I would pick and hook because by the time I've done that, I am still going to get one of the two standing injured survivors regardless if they trying saving Alan.
- If I made exactly the moves you did up until Kwon was saving Alan, I would not have hit Alan knowing he had off hook haste plus the haste from you hitting him. It was far more likely you could've got a hit off on Kwon and downed him before he got back to gate. Alan may have tried to take a hit, but without seeing the gameplay honestly I can't tell in seconds how long from 8 to 12 that would take to say his endurance ran out or not. But this is why I would've done point 1 vs the moves you made.
This of course isn't really touching your opinion about haste at all, moreso saying just based on what you described, the gameplay here could've been vastly different. Don't crucify me please because having it described is nothing like seeing the game itself, so just doing my best here for pointers that might help in future similar scenarios. Most here know Pig is difficult, especially on a map as large as Groaning Storehouse.
So far as the haste is concerned though, I'm just curious to know what you suggest as an alternative in endgame? I want to talk on it, but feel I think it's too important to fully be rid of, so just want to know your thoughts.

I am a Twitch Affiliate and stream DBD, but I have been curious about how to obtain the Twitch shirts for a while now as they have been a goal of mine. I've heard many different things on this topic. I'm sure they're a guarantee if you're in the creator program, but many of us are small streamers, and some players who aren't fog whisperers have the cosmetics.
I was told that fog whisperers may give out the code to streamers who use #ShirtMySurvivor in the titles of their streams, usually on the last week of the month. Then I was told they don't do this. Is being in the creator program the only way to obtain the rep? I would just like to come to the conclusion if I will ever be able to see the items in game.
Even though many of us are small, there are a lot of toxic people/streamers in the creator program. Very toxic streamers have these cosmetics and more. I'm just a simple streamer who is not toxic and loves the game and wants to represent that with my favorite character, my p100 dwight. My goal is to get a Twitch shirt for him.
(Also, I do have #ShirtMySurvivor in my title and tags everytime I'm live. I'm an Affiliate. I also have 20 hours every month scheduled for DBD but I've already played over 95 hrs in my analytics.)
I've asked support on the official website and it took them 30 days to tell me nothing/give a generic answer. I thought i might get more help posting here. I don't want to give up on my dream even though the outlook is grim.
Hello! Certainly hope a dev can pop by and give you a little more insight than what I am about to provide, but my understanding is you need to be in the creator program now to get the shirts and that the #ShirtMySurvivor in your streams no longer applies. I'm sharing the link to what the requirements are to be in the program below.
https://deadbydaylight.com/creator-program/
Just note, I have several friends who have met these goals and have not been added to the program yet. Don't give up hope, just wanted to be transparent on what I personally know. I really hope you can get in ❤️

Typical killer gaslighting.
My experience means nothing to yours.
I'm not high MMR and yet every 1v4 game is slugging for the 4k and tunneling at 5 gen.
I'm a mid MMR soloq.
Exploiting game mechanics is not free card to ruin everyone else's experience or an excuse.
If your "fun" is preventing someone from playing then those aspects should be addressed.
There are more bully killers than bully squads.I'm not sure how I was gaslighting you when I used your own words and the responses of others from previous discussions, but ok.
I play 50/50 killer and survivor. I am by no means am high MMR killer and as I said in my reply to you, I play hard, but also have times where I am goofy. 95% of the time, my "playing hard" is 8 hooking people before I end the game to give survivors the best chance possible. We're literally two sides of the exact same coin and yet you can't be bothered to admit that. I could also arbitrarily say you are an entitled survivor main based off the MIRIADE of comments from you only talking from the survivor perspective, but feel that is pointlessly mean wouldn't you say?
Again, maybe try being a bit more civil in your conversations with people? I don't understand why you come to the forum asking for input to then immediately put it down as someone gaslighting or being a bully killer… I have never a single time ever been any form of toxic to survivors because I don't want to be seen by people like you in this way…. but this just proves the point "high MMR" killer mains say all the time in this forum that no matter what you do, you'll be seen as the bad guy.

Just talkin' cuz it's frustrating getting down voted for everything and watching very little constructive feedback.
I fear you've had a common theme lately with your discussions/comments that killers are narcissistic sweaty tryhards (your words) for simply having anxiety for wanting to perform well in their role as well as this recurrent mention alongside points you make that you have a job, as if to hammer home that it makes your view more valid and/or to demean. This was also well communicated to you previously that that was exactly why you were downvoted, so your "very little constructive feedback" statement is simply false. To this specific point, my constructive feedback is maybe chill out with the belittlement and people will be more willing to engage with you in a meaningful way.
As for your main point, which I believe is that everyone should treat 2v8 as a casual/fun mode; fun for you is not the same fun that others have. Others have fun winning their games. Some have fun with a balance of playing hard, but still having moments to be goofy (this is me). Some have fun fully throwing the game to run around and be silly with the survivors (my duo). Your measure of fun in this game is not the bar that we are all held to just because you have a job, have little time to play, and seem particularly abhorrent to killers killing too well.
Hope that was constructive enough this time.

Killers first. Kill rates would be higher if I wasn't so dang tame-able 😭. Almost always let the last one out.
Xenomorph: 68% Kill Rate
Idea of this build is to create scourge hooks using Jagged Compass for all game aura reading from Floods on the survivors and always show gen with highest progress. After hooking, travel over to force DMS once survivors have caught on to the combo. Harpoon Gun addon can also force DMS as most survivors are not aware enough to know when a survivor in chase is about to be injured by me which forces everyone map wide to scream. It and Self Destruct (faster vaulting in crawler mode) never leave any of my builds on Xeno.
- Pain Res
- Dead Man's Switch
- Scourge Hook: Jagged Compass
- Scourge Hook: Flood of Rage
- Addons - Harpoon Gun and Self Destruct Bolt
Hillbilly: 59% Kill Rate
This build is one of the most fun builds on any killer I run. The combination of Secret Project (cleansing totems and blocked gens give 30 seconds undetectable) and Corrupt Intervention at the start of the trial paired with Apex Muffler (silent chainsaw outside of terror radius) give you instant undetectable at the beginning of the match. After that, Thrilling Tremors keeps the undetectable coming and BBQ easily gives your next unsuspecting target. Only drawback is there is basically nothing to slow gens down, so poor chases can easily lose the game.
- Secret Project
- Corrupt Intervention
- BBQ & Chili
- Thrilling Tremors
- Addons - Apex Muffler and Spiked Boots
Survivors depends on whether I'm solo or not. Ripley was my first P100 and who I play solo and have the higher escape rate with. Yui was my next P100 and love her so much, but originally I only played her because I needed fits to match my friends. I find my Yui has a lower escape rate because I am making too altruistic decisions solely because I'm with my friends if that makes sense, so I'll just share Ripley's stats.
Ellen Ripley: 44% Escape Rate
- Bond
- Adrenaline
- Empathic Connection
- We're Gonna Live Forever

Can't promise this will work for you but focus more on experimentation with killers and builds, if you think of the games as a test/experiment then failure isn't bad per se it's just the result of what you were testing and you can tweak it to gradually improve the result.
This right here ^ Been playing Spirit for the first time this last week and I purposely loaded in with no perks/addons and played 10 rounds that way for practice and while in game, yeah I was getting some bags and flashlight clicking; by endgame once they realized what I was doing, came at me much more respectful realizing I was legitimately just trying to learn her power.
Another thing, when I first started playing killer, I adhered to the "survivor rulebook" very often to the detriment of my own growth in the killer role. I had only played survivor myself for a few months and even in that role didn't fully understand the game to the fullest, and so I played in a way that I felt as survivor would be more enjoyable for that role. Don't do that. I'm not saying go forth and tunnel, slug, camp, BM, etc. but I am saying don't play so pent-up with anxiety that you're ruining someone else's game and therefore making your own time miserable with that thought.
Lastly and most frustratingly for you is just time. The first 6 months of dedicated killer play for me was full of anxiety (some self-induced by being too altruistic as the killer as I mentioned). Nowadays I don't experience any negative feelings whatsoever, even when survivors are being stinky lil guys. 😅
-
I know I'm an odd ball on this topic, but I have had so much fun in both roles this time around.
When lights out first came out, it was miserable and I complained as survivor moreso about just not knowing at all where I was on the map way more than anything else. This time, I'm so familiar with the maps that I put the lantern down as soon as I spawn in and never use it again (basekit Windows defeats the point of the mode for me). I haven't had issue at all looping, though I've been grabbed off the gen here and there, but for me it's fun to have the scare factor.
I was not playing killer first time around, but this time just haven't experienced the problems others have had and I wish I understood why. Yeah, very occasionally I'll lose a super easy chase because I just simply lost visual after first hit, but it hasn't happened often and hasn't lost me any game yet I was playing seriously at (important distinction for the next point I make). Gens are fast, but maintaining a 3 gen once you've lost 2 or 3 hasn't been an issue with literally not a single killer I've played yet: both Vecna, Dracula, Unknown, Xeno, Artist, Blight, Deathslinger, Oni, Demo, Legion, Spirit, Bubba, Huntress, Billy, and Trapper.
For me though, when I'm not trying to 4k, what I've enjoyed more is just simply jumpscaring. I have not laughed nearly as much in this game as I have this week just standing barely in view and seeing survivors finally see me and scatter, or popping around a corner and seeing them fear crouch and nearly trip over themselves.
Again, I know I'm in the minority on this, but I hope it isn't fully scraped becuase of the hate 👉️👈️

While I don't have an update on what Mandy shared above, what I can speak to is the value of reporting bugs and providing evidence, even if it's already on BetaHub. Duplicate reports are actually an important consideration on our side, as they help to increase the priority of a given bug. Plus, having more evidence never hurts.
So all that to say, please don't hesitate to share bug reports, even if the bug has already been reported - they still help greatly with the bug identification and fixing process.
Will do. I just don't like being an inconvience if I can help it is all. Thanks for the confirmation.
-
Its just not good to not let users see the videos and images when it would only be beneficial of seeing if its the same bug you experienced
This. I'm having a hard time now knowing whether or not to spend the time uploading a video about a bug or whether or not it's already been reported. Just as an example, there is a bug report out there rn that shows a video upload that I cannot see. The description alone isn't enough for me to understand if this is MY problem too. Lately I am experiencing this weird, idk what to even call it, but my character just stops moving for a split second. The bug report I think sounds similar though is worded as if it's lag spikes and without the video, I truly can't tell whether to submit another report or not.
I get people out there possibly weren't being careful with their own information, but instead of locking it fully down, is there no way to just hide the video until a moderator has deemed it safe? I have several bugs I've wanted to report and just haven't because honestly I don't want to go through all the trouble just to find it slapped together with another as a duplicate when I couldn't tell it was to start with.
-
^I've been following this particular report for nearly 7 months waiting on resolution and personally knew there were close to 10 videos on this, 3 of which were my own. Now there's not even one, and the severity was moved down to medium when it was once higher than that because it happens nearly every game unless you are aware of the bug and specifically play in a way to avoid it happening which I shouldn't have to do.
Anyway, I hope this was not an intentional change as OP is right, this will do nothing but further flood BHVR with reports that are duplicates. If 7 months of one easily replicable bug going unresolved isn't enough to show they are in fact, already swamped with reports as is, idk what is.
-
And somehow Pedro Pascal got on the list but not The Last of Us?
^This absolutely killed me ngl. Last of Us is my one dream license and not only is it not even on the list, this would almost seem to indicate that BHVR would go for the series versions of characters vs the actual game if that license had been an option. 😭
I have nothing against Pedro Pascal at all, I like him and think of all people, he did the best at portraying Joel fairly true to the story. The Last of Us games are just literally my favorite games I've ever played and feel the series would've never had as much traction without them having come first. I hope they somehow eventually get this license and show the game characters love .
-
Hillbilly - addons Spiked Boots and Apex Muffler, perks Secret Project, Corrupt Intervention, Thrilling Tremors, and BBQ & Chili
The point is to have no terror radius the majority of the game and then Apex Muffler silences the chainsaw as well. So all I do is hook, look for BBQ aura and/or unblocked gens, and head that way. Rarely do they see me coming and then once they're wise to the fact they can't hear me, the game slows down severely due to the paranoia of figuring out where I am. :)
Evil, yet very brainless build with no major slowdown (corrupt is kinda pointless since the first down is so fast, but it is what gives undetectable at the beginning of the round when paired with secret project). Same build works really well on killers who have strong map traversal.
-
I been begging for Last of Us for years. That would be a dream collab for me. <3

I played so much scratched mirror Myers, perkless Xeno, and survivor too yesterday because I was thrilled RPD was in the rotation.
Haven't had that much fun with Myers in such a long time. I'm also trying to learn Xenomorph and get stronger on maps I'm weak with and I ran no perks Xeno literally the entire day trying to learn hitboxes on tough loops and just forcing myself to get better.
I honestly love the map showcases vs the boosted maps we've had for months now. I know it's unlikely to be long term, but dang right now I've been so grateful. Made me miss when map offerings mattered a little bit.

Hello,
Don't worry too much about builds yet.
Focus on understanding the killer.
Learn, at your own pace, how to use the Tail Attack, how to play around turrets and how to get value from the tunnels.
Once you understand what aspect of the killer you enjoy most, whether it's chase, stealth, macro, ambushes or information gathering, you'll naturally find perks that complement your playstyle.
I don't really know what to recommend because I don't know you. Some people will tell you to read MrHeadache's guide and watch his videos, but my best advice would honestly be to stop reading advice for a while.
Play some matches. Struggle. Lose. Find your style. Vibe with the killer (the most important advice, have fun).
Eventually, all the pieces will start falling into place and you'll figure out whether the killer is for you, and if it is, what kind of build suits you best.
If you really want something strong, I'd recommend the Hex build with Harpoon Gun, as it's probably one of the strongest things Xeno can do right now. It naturally encourages frequent tunnel usage instead of relying solely on the Tail Attack. It will teach you the fundamentals while still being very powerful.Build:
- Hex: Ruin
- Hex: Undying
- Hex: Hive Mind
- Hex: Thrill of the Hunt
Add-ons: - Harpoon Gun
- Self-Destruct Bolt
Gameplan:
Once you exit a tunnel, Harpoon Gun will activate for 30 seconds and make any survivor farther than 16 meters from you scream whenever another survivor loses a health state. Your Hexes will be difficult to cleanse, you'll have a ton of information and the mobility to pressure everyone and their ancestors. This build teaches you not to overcommit, how to deal with turrets, how to pressure through tunnels and how to use the Tail Attack effectively. The tail part will come naturally anyway since you'll be using it constantly.
As for the infamous turrets, break them on sight.
That's it.
Don't overthink them.Think about the whole picture like key generators, ressources, survivors positioning etc.
So break them, evaluate whether the chase is still worth pursuing after the distance you lost, then either go underground or continue the chase.
One important thing about the Tail Attack is that you can strafe it as long as it doesn't collide with anything except turrets. You can aim slightly beside a survivor and drag the tail into them. You can hit two turrets, or a turret and a survivor (in that order), or even shoot over certain obstacles and drag the tail down onto someone behind cover.
As I said, the Tail Attack is the simplest part of the killer. It will come with practice because it's mostly a mechanical skill. How you use the tunnels and how you approach turrets is what really separates the "scorpion" from the Xenomorph.
Also, remember that the tail follows a descending arc. Aiming slightly higher than you think is often the correct play, otherwise, you'll occasionally hit the pallet or the window instead of the survivor.
Sometimes you'll hit the wall behind them as well, so be mindful of that, precise hits in tight spaces, strafing in open ones.
Don't overthink turrets, again. You can usually reposition faster than survivors can fully set up their defenses. Destroy them, use the tunnels, keep moving and keep applying pressure.
Remember, you can binge 10 hours of Otz content and read everyone's advice, but you'll never be invincible anyway. Sometimes survivors will pre-run perfectly, set up double turrets and deny your ambush.
That's fine.
It happens.
I don't know if this helped, but I hope so.
I hope you find your way with the killer. Once you really connect with the kit, you can do a lot with it, especially on the macro side.I really appreciate you setting up your response on this the way you did and can tell you put so much thought into it! To start, I think I’m moving out of the understanding phase of Xeno and more into the trying to improve on that understanding and capitalize. I have nearly 4k hours in the game, but only within the last 3 months have I really started focusing on Xeno, so that might enlighten you/others on where I’m at to some extent.
Your specific build suggestion is honestly disgusting, and I LOVE it! To further the scream potential, do you think switching one out with Hex: Face the Darkness would work? I assume despite the turrets giving me away that being in the tunnels would count the survivors as “being outside of the terror radius” right? Genuinely thank you for suggesting this as is. I don’t run Hexes too often so this sounds like fun.
you can strafe it as long as it doesn't collide with anything except turrets. You can aim slightly beside a survivor and drag the tail into them. You can hit two turrets, or a turret and a survivor (in that order), or even shoot over certain obstacles and drag the tail down onto someone behind cover.
To this point, my question is, does strafing work/feel similar to Nemi’s? As mentioned, I’m on console and find for Nemi I rarely get successful hits when moving my camera (mouse for pc), but rather dragging my character (WASD for pc) to the side nearly always hits. I’ve tried employing the same type movement for Xenomorph, but not hitting consistently it seems. Could just be I’m still not use to him though.
Again , thank you so much for your thoughtful response!

Shack was like the only place that i was confident i could loop you so i kept running back and putting a turret there. i was too scared outside of shack. I would reccomend No Holds Barred or Corrupt Intervention, they help you eitheir start off strong or provide amazing slowdown throughout the game. If it makes you feel any better im a Switch player lol, im worse off then you
i also thank you for letting me live, it was a really fun game and you did fantastic
Of course! I like sparing the ones with personality and you were a lot of fun even with your stinky turret. :)
Genuinely though, thank you so much! I'll try those out tonight.
And for your sake, I hope BHVR optimizes DBD for you poor Switch players soon. There's so much wrong with the game on that platform rn.

did you play against a Bill who kept spamming a turret in shack and ran around there? even after the gen was done? cuz that was me lmao
Honestly this seems like a fun build, however with like no gen slowdown gens probaly fly back extremely quick dont they?
That does sound familiar 🤣 Broke that turret so many times lol
And yes it's fun for the chases, but the gens are exactly my problem. That's why I'm trying to find a balance and was looking for any additional suggestions too.
Idk that it makes a massive difference for Xeno, but I also play on console and know there's just some killers that are a harder learning curve (Nurse, Huntress, etc). That's what I keep telling myself anyway 😭

I have a very fast growing passion for this killer, and im glad my threads have been of help to you! Also a Xeno with Overcharge? i get the odd feeling ive played against you before, back when Huntress map was showcased. Ive never actually thought of Xenomorph with Overcharge, i might actually give that a try. and yeah SB has been a HUGE problem lately, though i will admit Xeno is good at making survivors wary and screwing up their pathing (o glorious tail) Those perks can hurt. I actually think Languid Touch would be really helpful but thats me.
Yes! Overcharge, Mindbreaker, Languid touch, and Overwhelming Prescence (re-worked gives decent aura reading on exhausted survivors) is my current build. I'd like to have something a bit more balanced and not so heavily exhaustion based, but this current build is the one I've had some small amount of success with.
And I actually have thought I recognized your name for a while as well! Nice to meet outside the fog 😅

As the one who has started a few of the mentioned discussions, i just want to say ive only played a few games on this killer, however ive done well in my matches and hope this build might work for ya
Eruption
No Holds Barred
Bamboozle
Batteries Included
However there are more expirenced Xeno players on here and i hope they can help
Lol yes! You've been the main one talking about Xeno and I'm glad because I've read every single comment to your threads just trying to learn more (learned yesterday the reason I couldn't hit survivors over turrets was because of auto-aim, had no idea).
I too ran Eruption for a bit before switching to Overcharge which is what I've stayed with the longest. I'm currently doing an exhaustion build because I felt I was struggling with Lithe/Sprint Burst players, but not sure how much it's helping anyway tbh.

Hello!!
Thanks for taking the time to write out your thoughts, even the criticism are always appreciated!
We'd be interested in hearing more about what people think - which perks would you like to see changed due to Diminishing Returns? What builds do you feel it has affected? Anything else you can think of that's relevant, please please feel free to let us know!
Thanks!
I think most here have already given examples I would've mentioned myself, but what I don't see is something I really wish would be added so I understand more how much diminishing returns is impacting me.
- Something in lobby to indicate equipped perks will be affected by diminishing returns. Much like how various perks in the bloodmoon event highlighted they wouldn't be compatible with that event, I want my perks to update once I've equipped them to show that they will be affected
- An actual number in-game to show how much my build is benefiting me. Yes, I can sit down and figure out the math for my own perks, but that doesn't take my team into account. I have run for about a year now the same build (Bond, Empathic Connection, WGLF, and Adrenaline). My duo very often runs Leader. I want a number somewhere showing me what I'm getting out of my build in real time that also takes into account your team so I can determine whether I want to try something else. Something similar for haste is used during 2v8 for killer that pops up briefly on screen showing both the percentage haste being applied and the time. Can this not be worked out for diminishing returns too?

Favorite:
- Myers - Scratched Mirrror
- Hope it's not a hot take, but this was really the only thing post re-work on Myers I felt DBD did right. I miss old Myers
Rework:
- Hillbilly - LoPro Chains
- This is less a re-work and more a change to a "bug" they addressed. Hillbilly use to be able to hit a pallet/door and basically pull a 180. As much I as had fun with that and really want that version back, I would be ok if they just allowed me to turn at all. Current version of this has killed his ability to curve following pallet break nearly completely. It's any wonder no one runs it anymore.
Underrated:
- Xenomorph - Ovomorph
- Being able to passively regain your ability without having to go into tunnels to me is so strong. Still shocked this is considered a low tier addon
Favorite Combo:
- Plague - Prayer Tablet Fragment + Haematite Seal
- This is so slept on. Prayer tablet makes your regular vomit not infect survivors, instead it increases both the duration of infection on objects AND how quickly it infects survivors interacting with said object. Haematite seal just adds more time to that object's infection. In total, objects stay infected nearly 2 minutes and now instead of having to slow yourself down mid chase to try to hit survivors with your vomit, they will be infected in only a few seconds of working on gens. Just every once in a while during your patrols, tap the gens with a lil vom and move on. This does not negate your red vomit which is even better. 😈
- Myers - Scratched Mirrror
-
Has no effect on uggo like Hag
Bro this took me out @Huge_Bush 🤣 Poor girlie caught a stray

"rather than skillchecks, you scream in pain and fart."
You don't have to kill me like this, manLol at least you guys get a benefit from having to endure the farts 🤣
-
IBS - Years of irritable bowls have rendered your flatulence especially potent. While repairing a gen, rather than skillchecks, you scream in pain and fart. Anyone within your 4m of fart cloud repairs the gen 3% faster for 3 seconds.
Sleep Deprivation - All those late nights have given you an other-worldly sixth sense. When a killer is undetectable and enters within 16m of you, you see their aura for 8 seconds. Has a 60 second cooldown.
Yeet - You never have what you need when you need it, but you have become great at improvisation. You can throw any fully depleted item to stun the killer. Item is fully consumed upon successful impact.
-
Well, do I have some good news for you guys! This is being tested in the current PTB within the Match Details during matches.
-
Thank goodness! I just hope they find a way to incorporate the theme into the chase music as well! I wanna hear this or something like this when I'm being chased too.
-
This is what was said in the latest patch notes:
Hopefully fixed next time Switch updates :)

To my understanding we can't have any more killers with stations because we have Nemmy and Wesker taking up that spot with their combined vaccine/spray system. To bring in another killer with a map element they'd probably have to remove both the RE boys to replace them with a single killer. That won't go over well, even if I'm absolutely fed up of dealing with the zombies.
That rules out Pig, Springtrap, Plague, Xeno, Sadako, Freddy, Singularity, Henry, Vecna.
Additional items may also present a problem, as we already get those from Wesker/Nemmy and tellingly, if both killers are present this will default to the spray instead of a mix of both items.
This rules out Krasue (maybe).
We also can't have any locker killers due to conflict with Huntress' reload.
So no Dredge and no Trickster.
Myers and Pinhead are out because expired licenses.
Pretty much anyone else is possible, at least from my layman's perspective. I imagine there are more challenges to getting them to function correctly and balance them properly than I picture, because I have no idea what kind of spaghetti the devs have to work with these days.Referencing the very first line of your comment, am I wrong in understanding that in regular 1v4 that killer stations share spawns with chests AND totems? Or was that finally addressed (I know this had been a complaint with Onryo and Xeno specifically on certain maps).
If that is still the case and totems being completely pointless in 2v8, could the 2nd killer in any case not use those spawns as their stations instead?
-
I feel like of the remaining killers in the roster that could be included, Clown and Bubba would be the easiest as they have neither a status effect (as in, what would need to show on survivor HUD) or anything on the map that would need to be added. Of course, the wider survivor base is not fond of Clown and Bubba being licensed makes that a whole different thing.
Personally I would love to see Xenomorph added. The Alien franchise has always been willing to work with BHVR when it comes to skins and such, so feel maybe that one isn't out of the realm of possibility. Just unsure how they'd work out the whole tunnels aspect of Xeno in 2v8.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've faced many matches with 4 scouts scooting around the map for fun, but they didn't actually seem faster than me. Like yeah of course they were fast, but it felt like they were regular survivor running speed and I would still gain on them in chase.
Not saying it is a non-issue, just wondering if the reason it hasn't been killswitched is because killers can still work with it, albeit at the disadvantage of not having scratch marks to follow I suppose?
-
When I was a newer to the game and only really played survivor, I probably would've agreed with you on this. Having experienced both sides now though, and putting in hundreds of hours specifically into Billy, I think where he is now is one of his best iterations of all the buffs/nerfs they've done over the years.
I get "spamming" an instant down killer seems unfair, but as mentioned above, he does in fact have counterplay AND it takes a lot of training to master his power in a way where someone could say a specific player was oppressive (I have seen far more M1 Billy's versus "spamming" chainsaw only ones).
From the overall survivor community, Billy is rarely ever brought up when mentioning S or A tier killers that need nerfs because he is well known as being one of the most fun to loop. Genuinely, since joining the forum, this is the very first time I've seen anything negative about him, but could just be me not paying attention is all.
Not saying any of this to dismiss you whatsoever, I'm just saying there's a lot more to Billy so far as his skill ceiling and counterplay goes that is being overlooked in what you've shared.

BHVR y'all are sleeping on a peak cosmetic (from a P100 Ripley main). Bald Ripley would go hard.
-
Ace. I, like others already mentioned, just can't stand his smirk. I can't tell you how many times one has gotten a stun on me and then got directly in my face wanting to be cutesy and his lil smirk just absolutely sends me over the edge.
Nic Cage. This one is kinda personal. I looped a scratched mirror Myers (pre-change) for 5 gens after a Nic player in the lobby had lead the chase to me 2 different times while I was on the first gen. I genuinely to this day do not know why he did that. Well I looped the entire rest of the game and once endgame arrived, I saw a door had been 99'd and saw Nic standing at that door. I ran over there injured with Myers in tow and Nic body blocked so no one could open it. I had no where to loop in the area, so finally went down at the door. Once I was hooked (first hook of the game mind you), the whole team left and he teabagged me at the exit. So yeah, I have a personal distrust (borderline fierce hatred) for Nic Cage's.
For killer I can't say I really have any petty hate for any. I guess if I had to pick one though, I've never had a really positive game with Doctor. I don't mean that as in I've not played well against them, in fact, he's one of the easiest to loop imo. Rather, I've never met one yet that doesn't hard tunnel and BM.
Love the topic @zonkednb <3 I like discussions like this one :)
