This is what really annoys me. Killers doing really well? Nerf them in a month. Killers doing poorly? Eh, have a survivor skin.
-
I'm okay with the collision being added, and the change to prayer beads, but removing her window phasing? That was part of the mind game, and they just removed it? I don't recall anybody complaining about it, personally. Thought it was fun to go against, since it could be baited.

Just get of the person that has it, that simple. If you can’t manage to do that, I don’t know what to tell you.
If it's a solo running OoO, sure. But on a SWF, the point of a team mate running it is precisely that. They want you to waste your time. Either you get into a long chase with them, and by the time you down them, three gens have popped, or you ignore them, and they just keep their swf updated on what you're doing.
-
Probably not. Survivors won and stopped crying, thus it's over.
-
'Their plan' that they've 'been looking into' for, what, over a year now? Don't expect anything anytime soon.
-
Legion is supposed to be multiple people, right? Dunno much about the lore.
Had a Halloween idea. When playing Legion, have the others peek out at various points in the map. Like, if you're working the killer shack gen, have a Legion peep out from the locker. Or behind a wall. Or out of a freezer. Sitting on top of a tree. That kind of thing. Just a bunch of Legions giggling or pointing or mocking your mother.
-
Plague. We saw that huge shift in threads just before Nurse's 'small tweaks' were released in the PTB, and a few pop up here and there since then.
Freddy is a strong possibility, at least his addons.
Same with Huntress and her iri heads.
Personally, I just see it as a bunch of crying survivors who can't think outside of looping. Anybody they see that can either mindgame them, or has an ability that requires non linear strategy, is up on the chopping block. I wouldn't be surprised if Tru3's anti heal Ghostface catches on and they start crying about that, or Otz's speedy Wraith.
-
Bev should have a perk that incites a mass orgy with all the survivors, granting a 50% buff to all actions for the rest of the match.
Honestly, I don't care who is added. Only Pennywise interests me.
-
I'd love to see a diagram made by the devs that showed how many times she was played a month before her nerf, compared to now. I'm sitting in purple ranks as survivor atm, and before, I'd see her maybe eight or nine times per week, out of the thirty or so games I'd play that given week. I enjoyed most of the times I faced her, as it was fun not having to loop.
Now, the same amount of games per week, and in all of the two weeks or so since her nerf, I've faced her a grand total of one time. One. The match lasted maybe six minutes before gens popped, she got one hook. Not for lack of trying, She was always chasing somebody, but I could tell the cooldown was really throwing her off.
I don't have anything else to go on, because apparently, nobody plays her anymore. Now I'm afraid for Spirit. If 'small tweaks' (their wording) does THIS to a competent killer, I'd hate to see what 'tweaks' or 'minor tweaks' does.
Like everybody else, I'll say it again. Base kit Nurse was fine. I miss playing against her.
-
What is 'too often?' Three times? Twelve? Twenty? Considering I'm getting a dc or two in nearly every other game, be it as killer or survivor, it must be pretty high for it to be used so casually.
-
I was just about to make a thread about this. I'm sick of this. As killer, I miss one out of three hits because they're teleporting, or I am. As survivor, I miss skill checks because of the half second stutters.
Worst is the infinite loading screens AFTER the match. Some days it's bad enough that I need to use task manager to force close the game after every match I run.
My rig can run this game on ultra comfortably, and I have a solid connection. When killers would host the match, I had no issue. As survivor, so long as they had green and low yellow ping, I had no issue. But this dedicated failure? No.

If you can't trust BHVR then just stop playing the game.
You are the type of person who doesn't believe anything BHVR says. They could say "Nurse is the strongest killer" and you wouldn't believe it if it didn't fit your narrative.
30% is a number someone just pulled out of his butt somewhere. And you believe that random person over BHVR, who actually knows the score?
Look, if you don't like what BHVR says and does the answer is simple: stop playing their games, stop buying their games, stop telling your friends to play their games, stop buying DLC, stop buying Auric Cells. Let your wallet do the talking.
That's where it hurts.
By that logic, you're the type of person that believes anything and everything BHVR says. They could say 'Wraith is red rank viable,' and you'd believe it because they said it. Works both ways.
I'm skeptical of everything, especially when there's no evidence backing up anything being done about dcing. I hold more credit over a 'random person' over BHVR, because we don't know a thing about how BHVR handles constant dcing, other than 'don't report, we monitor, good night.'
Just because I'm take what a company or team says with a grain of salt, means I can't enjoy the product? I like the game, for the most part. It has its flaws, more so than others, but that doesn't take away the fact that I manage to have fun. Why you think somebody can't question a company yet own products baffles me.
This is just back and forth, though.
Back to the OP, though, no, you don't need to report it. I had a clip from a SWF point of view of them dcing on me just because I was capitalizing on their mistakes. It makes no difference. It's registered, at least from what the devs say. What they do with it is up to them.
-
@TAG said:
DCs are automatically tracked, so no need to report it.
I hate comments like this. Not on your part, but because it's the standard reply by the devs. We have no proof they even care about it, let alone 'track it' for punishment. And even if they do, the estimate was, what, 30% of games need to be a dc? That can be a 'lot' of games the ruin before the devs every care. At least, again, going by 30%.
-
I'm tired of cleansing three totems, looping the killer for two minutes, finishing two gens solo, saving four hooks, healing four saves completely, only to go down to noed and die on hook because my potato teammates couldn't find, or care to bother with, the remaining two.
Other than that, meh.
-
Two reasons. One, it's either because the matchmaking itself is just the worst, and/or it's a swf, and you were matched against that Rank 13.
-
On PC here. The menu and lobbies are incredibly choppy for me. It's like my mouse is teleporting around. Even when I start a match, I need to hide in a locker, if possible, for the first 30 seconds, due to the huge fps drop. It'll smooth out eventually, but jeez.
-
She was able to loop you for three gens, and they still lost? Damn. . .

If you used your eyes and read his story, and your brain and realized no Killer can carry a Survivor for 15 minutes unless the Survivor LETS them, you'd realize your post is completely wrong.
..Or you can attack the OP for no reason and look very silly. I mean, he could in no way be at fault unless you ignore every fact in his post, but sure; he was being toxic because he was a Killer. Continue your 'Survivors are victims' attempt.
Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Stubbed your toe? No coffee this morning? Mom yell at you? Why so hostile?
I know what happened, at least from what OP says. So what if somebody went afk while downed? Just leave him, let him bleed out, and the match can end much sooner. If you're so sweaty for a 4k that you literally carry an afk around for 15 minutes looking for one survivor, that comes off as toxic. Or tryhard. Maybe both? Either way, why come here to complain about something they had the power to end in another way?
-
Considering you carried a survivor around for fifteen minutes, I'd say you were the toxic one here. Probably why the first two left.
-
Personally, it feels like they really had no idea what to do with her, and instead of taking some really good ideas from the community, they just threw something together at the last minute. Then slapped a cooldown on her cooldown to appease the most vocal portion of the survivor playerbase.
A lot of these addons are pointless, because they remove aspects of her kit, with a bp bonus added for. . . reasons? They could have at least bumped up her movement speed to compensate for this.
I do like Anxious Gasp added to her base kit. That sounds fun.
-
I like the idea. We already have rank reset, so its not like rank 1 players don't smash yellow ranks. I know I usually have to wait till rank reset to start using somebody new, which is unfortunate.
-
Somebody mentioned before that some of these are just placeholders. I think that's just a cop out, trying to go for damage control, but meh. If you're solo, you're pretty much screwed out of it.
-
Do you WANT to be genrushed every match?
-
@Mr_K said:
Skill? Whats that?
Nurse, M2 M2 M1 = win
Spirit, stand still = win
Billy, Hold M2 = win
Hag, draw fancy triangles in the basement = win
No skill involved here. Nerf away!
🙃
-
Heh. They call you sweaty, but those builds. That amuses me. Seriously, FOUR decisive strikes? Seems to me they only want to have fun on their own terms.

Errmehgerd, me such toxic survivor main!
Either that or you have your head shoved so far up your backside that you haven't realized you can just smack people to get them to leave the match. It's one of the easiest things in the game to accomplish. And this is gonna blow your closed mind if you can open it for a second, you actually get bloodpoints for doing it.
Lol. Somebody has their panties in a bunch.
The point isn't the bp, the point is that they're taunting the killer by doing it. Instead of being big kids and, you know, leaving when it's clear, they hang around as a middle finger to the killer. Why does the killer need to hold their hand out the exit gate?
-
@Dehitay said:
It still boggles my mind how some crybaby killers can't figure out the ridiculously easy method to get survivors to leave the match that are waiting at the gate. All it takes is the smallest amount of intelligence to figure this out, but apparently that's too much to ask of certain players.
Toxic survivor spotted.
-
Yes. The bad feedback, seeing as what they did to Nurse.
-
I wouldn't mind the removal of the ebony. but if mori get looked at, I'd hope keys would get the same scrutiny.
-
I feel ya. Then they'll teabag when you get near, only to gg in post game chat as if they weren't trying to be toxic.
-
Remember, if they say she needs 'slight tweaking,' they really mean butchering her down to B tier.
-
'Everytime I fight them, they don't use him how he was designed to be used, they never use Gen Teleport, they always camp hooked survs, and literally place millions of traps to where Survs can't even walk through a room....'
I'll be honest, I really dislike when somebody comes out and says 'you're not playing the way I want you to play.' It gets under my skin.
The camping part, sure, I can see that. But it comes down to the type of camping. I personally will proxy camp if I know there's a survivor around, but with Freddy, it's not needed due to his teleport.
But not using teleport is on the players part. Maybe they don't want to, or need to, or experienced enough too. And why shouldn't he use 'a million traps?' How does using traps equal 'they don't use him how he was designed to be used.' That sounds exactly as he was designed to be used.
-
I died on first hook last night because the survivors were crab walking in the back of the map from Clown. To say I was just a tiny bit salty at that is an understatement. Spud ranks are the worst.
-
Was never a fan of the idea of him carrying all his traps. I feel he should be more like Huntress, and have to restock, except from chests. Maybe carry three to start, more with addons? He'd only be able to set a certain amount, but if they are broken by survivors, they respawn in a chest, instead of having to wait for them to come back.
What I think he should really have, though, is a rage meter. Every time a trap is broken or disarmed, his meter fills. After three such occurrences, he becomes enraged. In this stage, he can just throw his traps at survivors heads, instantly killing them and netting him 5k bp. This mode will only last for seven minutes, so he'll have to use it wisely. Maybe add an iri addon that gives the traps homing capability, to even things out.
-
Super duper nerf? Nerf how? She only gets one shot with it. Three if she runs infantry belt. Maybe make it so it can't work with the belt? But again, one shot. Then she has to reload.
-
@Mr_K said:
People are in denial if they believe base Hillbilly will stay the same.
He too will get slight changes.
Don't you mean 'slight tweaks?' I love the fact that the devs used that wording, because it shows how out of touch they seem to be when discussing balance.
But yeah, Hillbilly will have some 'slight tweaks' done to him, after Spirit.
-
Players who had issues with base kit Nurse are the same people that have issues with Spirit. They can't think outside looping.
-
I player more killer than survivor, but that's still both. Killer is work, survivor is usually chill.
-
The first one is legit, the other two are due to experience. The map really makes BL shine. There are other reasons as well. There are a LOT of safe loops, and at least two infinite's, if the rng keeps the second floor windows unlocked. It's a terribly balanced map, but seeing that it took years for Freddy to be reworked, and with him his Preschool map, I don't see the devs getting a fire lit under themselves to do anything about it.

Your argument makes zero sense. Why are you arguing against more bloodpoints? They have no impact on gameplay, so why should it be important that certain players get less bloodpoints, only increasing the grind? Adding more bloodpoint gains has no downsides, and would only make people happier. Also, bold of you to assume I've never even made it to purple ranks. Ranking up is not hard. I've done it many times.
I was referring to your comment about things being pretty even. Once you get to high ranks, survivors are the power role, and power roles aren't. But that's a debate for another thread.
My point is that you put more work in as killer. Rewards are adjusted for that. I would love to have more bp when I run survivor, but the game isn't balanced for that, as odd as it may be. Plus, look how long it took the devs to make ANY changes to the bloodweb. Not to mention how stringy they are with double BP events.
My guess behind the lesser rewards on survivor side is to discourage trolling. If rewards were increased across the board, it raises the chances of somebody doing little in the match, but getting some compensation for that. Just a guess.

The Killer does have to play against 4 other players, but 1 Survivor =/= a Killer. 4 Survivors = a Killer. You're making it sound like all odds are stacked against the Killer in an unfair 4v1, when the game is quite honestly pretty even. Because of this, I think Killers and Survivors should get roughly the same amount of bloodpoints.
Pretty even. From that comment I take it you've never made it to high rank. There's a reason why only three, maybe four, killers are viable. No, the points should not be even. Get to at least purple rank, and look at how much work a killer needs to put in to get anywhere near enough points.
-
@Forceful_Spork said:
The Survivor to Killer bloodpoint ratio is really unbalanced. On top of that, Killers have a really good perk that also gives them double bloodpoints, while Survivors have to sacrifice a perk slot if they want double bloodpoints, because We're Gonna Live Forever does literally nothing. I'm not saying to reduce the amount of bloodpoints that Killers get, but they should give Survivors more bloodpoints. Also, We're Gonna Live Forever should have a secondary effect that affects gameplay.
Right. . . so the guy having to play against four other players shouldn't be compensated for the amount of work put into that. You do realize there is a perk called Prove Thyself, right? Doubles points earned when working as a team? Helps with that gen rush that's all the rage these days?

You obviously don’t know anything about how releases work. Blame Sony? Blame Microsoft? Who are you going to blame next? Try putting blame where blame is deserved. It’s BHVRs incompetence that is to blame for everything, and not another company who has publicly made its requirements known to everyone concerned. If you fail to meet the requirements, it’s your problem, not theirs.
What's got your britches in a bunch? So the event had been delayed. You make it sound like your grandmother is being held hostage.
I may not be an expert on how releases work, but I can use common sense. Any PC update needs to pass console inspection. While the original delay is on the devs, it is slowed down by the console process. Nowhere did I say the devs are free of blame. I simply meant that however long it takes now, it's on Sony. That's not a bad thing, and why you make it seem like such is beyond me. Again, an event was delayed. Big whoop.
-
500 hours since August. . . my god.
Honestly, I don't see why postponing the event is such a big deal. It just delays the rewards. Not like we'll be doing anything knew.
There was a tweet earlier that the event passed Xbox certification, it just needs to pass Sony before they release it on all platforms. So, take it up with Sony and the PS4.
-
Don't forget the various iterations of 'Hex'
-
Of those three? Bubba. I don't face him much, so I have yet to actually pin down that chainsaw range.
I want to say Ghostface. His jump scares still get me. Doc, I don't see anywhere, so meh.
-
Why are you asking for a decent build, yet shooting down the one perk that really can help him?
-
True3 will usually bring up his totem idea, where the Hex will reignite to a random totem after a certain amount of time has passed from the cleansing of the lit. I like that idea, and it would give totem breaking more a priority. Slow the game down a bit.
Either way, totems need some help here.
-
I think you're going to get a warning from the mods about 'promoting dc.'
I feel ya, though. Doesn't mean matchmaking is broken. I see more of this in low tiers, so they're inexperienced. If it's done in high tiers, then yeah, it would come off more as trolling. Or maybe a swf that doesn't care for the solo.
-
Uh. . . what's with the necro?
