Do you think this Thread will lead to anything? Not that the Nerfs Nurse and Spirit received were not justified.
Base kit Nurse was not justified. The devs just ran out of ideas for her addons and needed something else.
To OP, I don't think the iri head will be hemorrhage. We have that already. Though it could apply ALL status debuffs at once. That would be amusing.

I don't see why not :))
Don't think you should be playing if you have that mentality. Saves the rest of us the salt when a teammate does this and botches it for the rest of us.
-
It's Sumerian. They didn't make it up.
-
I just had one kill themselves on first hook, even though we had three gens done, and Trapper wasn't all that good. So. . . not so well.
-
Because we're on a time crunch, and the teabagging survivor knows it.
Though if you needed the mori, this might not be the game for ya.
-
Was she exposed? Haunted Grounds, Iron Maiden, etc? As said, could have been the servers.
-
Was she broken, or still healthy?
-
Just remember, they buried Nurse, and those were considered 'small tweaks.' They needed to bury Oni as well, seeing as I don't see him. At all.
-
Last night, was playing survivor. Was being chased by Bubba. Ran for a pallet, only to find a Feng hiding behind it. sandbagged me in. Bubba caught up with chainsaw, she proceeded to drop the pallet on my head. Bubba even stopped and watched her run off.
-
Killer, for the most part. Always on a time crunch.
Though, being a survivor in yellow ranks can be close. A lot of the time I feel it's the killer vs me vs three potatoes.

I have played over 30 games and each one of them was a camper sitting there waiting and if you get off the hook they tunnel you all day long. I can never get a killer that dosent camp and tunnel hard.
What rank? I found most camping is done in yellow. It's always hell getting out of yellow. . .

This is what I've been saying! She was THE model for killers to follow. Strong and versatile power that you can use whenever and however you want. If they had done more like her this game could've been the tits.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/913690#Comment_913690
This is where I disagree, I don't think they should make her weaker but instead bring other killers up to her level. She was the model killer for skill:reward and there was counterplay on survivors part that most choose to ignore/not use, and the counterplay actually took skill as well.
Now any survivor can loop Nurse, and there is a hard cap on your skill to reward ratio since you are limited after every single blink no matter what. You can only do so much with a finite amount of possibilities.
I still feel they should have done her nerf as a two parter. Addons first, let them settle and gather data, then maybe add the cooldown if they felt it was necessary. I believe they would have found it not to be the case, as most people would have been happy with just the addon changes. But as somebody else said, the cooldown was slapped on because they ran out of ideas for her addons.

I tried playing nurse for the first time due to a daily, I got stuck on Haddonfield. I've had more fun being face camped by a spirit. I've had more fun on a loading screen. It was a god awful experience. When a rank 11 killer with 80 hours in the game gets two hits in the entire match on a group of rank 15 survivors, you've seriously screwed up the character.
You can talk about red ranks and having experience with her all you want, but if beginner can't pick her up and at least hook someone, you're terrible at designing a killer.
That's my problem. Nurse was always at the top tier in terms of skill needed to play her well. Sure, you could eliminate that with omega blink, but base kit? Skill was involved. Players who say there isn't are either lying, or simply playing badly.
I personally always wanted to do well with her, but I admit that I didn't have the talent for her. It wasn't just about knowing her power, it was knowing the map, the specific tile you're on, what perks your target may have, what they're thinking, and so on. A lot of info needed to be processed in a short amount of time. So, high skill cap. That was raised even higher with the cooldown.
I pulled her out myself for the first time in ages (I still had that cake from the anniversary event in her bloodweb). Wanted to see what the nerfs had done for her now that they've settled. Like you, it was miserable. The team I was up against wasn't all that skilled, but they were able to make a lot of escapes because I had to wait the extra four seconds for the cool down. Not to mention missed blinks and missed swings.
Nurse isn't fun. There are simply too many restrictions placed on her to be enjoyable. Sure, some people can make her work, but most of us can't. Just how many Nurse matches have any of us gone up against since her nerf? For me? Three. Out of the hundreds I've played, I can clearly recall every one, and it only adds up to three. She can be good in the right hands. But is she fun? No.

I mean, unless you want to just spend 4 minutes of both you and the killer's time bleeding out on the ground when hatch is closed? Crows when slugged are useful to be like "Hey, I'm over here, come grab me to end the match".
The killer made his choice when he went to slug. I understand if somebody else is near and they give chase, but when you're doing it for the 4k and spend two minutes hunting them down? No. You want to waste my time, why can't I waste theirs?
My gripe is that they made the choice to slug. Why am I, the slugged, 'punished' for being able to hide effectively? Again, if I'm hiding in a locker or in a corner most of the match, I get it.
-
Tru3 had a playthrough with him. I don't think he explicitly said Wraith is top tier, just that he isn't as low as people rank him. But then again, I recall him saying Wraith is near the bottom a few months back because he can't end chases quickly enough against a solid team. So, grain of salt.
-
Maybe the floaty bits that come with his dream world? Keep the fog. I wouldn't mind that, but then, I don't play him much.
-
I can't tell if you're playing the part of a killer or survivor here. . . Nor can I tell if you're referring to brown or red ranks.
Nevertheless, it's rng. Usually sucky rng, sure, but unless you have serious map pressure, it's pretty much a staple on most killers. Just have to learn to live with it.
-
I've only been on it once as Trapper. That was fun. But yeah, the foliage is just the worst.

farm its a huge thing in this game since theres alot of things to do yeah i do get it that you hate ppl that just unhook you while the killer its near but youre idea its bad youre just making another impact for ppl to troll the game itself and theres alot of ways to fix it.
Then give some of those ways to fix it. The more there are out there, the better chance a dev will look into them.
-
I've had three dc today. One killer, two survivor. The killer was fine, because it happened within two minutes of the match start. Was an Oni. I didn't see it, but in post game lobby, survivor told me they looped him.
The first survivor dc was just. . . stupid. Was against Trapper. Again, first two minutes in. They hid behind a wall. Not well, seeing as Trapper found them. They then ran into a wall, Trapper caught them, downed, dc. Second was my last match against Bubba. This was dumb as well. Ten minutes in, four gens done, he's down to his last hook. Misses a pallet, gets downed, dcs. That was at least 15k points down the drain. smh
As stated, they need to get their last rage quit ability used up.
-
When the Ghostface that just hooked me sits behind a wall and watches me from stealth.
When the Oni I just came from targets only one person at a time until dead, and your other team members don't have Borrowed Time, or any form of body blocking skills.

Farming is a problem. But this idea would just create another problem with teammates kicking away unhookers to troll.
And this is no different than idiots simply farming you for points? I'd rather take my chances with somebody trying to die on hook, than somebody trolling at the expense of your play time.

I started maining spirit again recently and iron will is such an overrated counter to her, but you aren’t screwed without it either, I never use iron will and can still run Spirit for a good amount of time. Pallets and windows still work, remember that.
What do you mean it's overrated? Yeah, it doesn't help as much if you keep running and leaving a trail, or make obvious loops. But then, like Nurse, you can't do that. Think outside the box. Back track, head behind a tree instead of that nearby pallet. Hide behind a gen instead of vaulting that window. If you tie in non obvious routes while taking away audio tracking, you'll beat her far more than if you just try simple loops.
To those saying she needs more audio ques when phasing, she emits white noise. The closer she is, the louder it gets. Use that.
-
Gen rushing is real, but it isn't the fault of the survivors. Why you think we killers blame you for it (Unless you all bring toolboxes) is beyond me. We don't blame survivors. We blame the way the game is set up. Go into a match without Ruin (or have it pop in under a minute), without a killer who has mobility, and a halfway decent team, and see how fast those gens pop.

7 minutes? Man I wanna play vs you
I'm just using a far out example. Any loop that takes more than thirty seconds should be abandoned, I know. What I'm pointing out is that there are just some maps where you have jungle gyms into shack into t walls into god loops. It can already be hard enough for M1 killers to nab a hit, an item like this would just crank up the difficulty for no reason.
-
Imagine this. A T wall into a jungle gym into the killers shack. Killer chases you for seven minutes through all the bs. About to get the hit. Survivor drops this item, teabags out the nearest window, and is gone. No thank you.
-
I played against my first Oni last night in green ranks, so yes. I remember GF and Demo, two weeks had near constant face offs.
-
Wait, what? They got mad over a pallet? That's. . . pretty funny, actually.
-
I'm curious. What changes could be made to 'punish' camping? I'm not saying it needs to be, but what ideas are there?

I just read your entire post which ignores the first sentence of my first post. I don't care how much skill it takes. I don't care how many people know how to do it. That doesn't come into account of game design. The devs don't care and shouldn't care either how much practice it takes. You don't get to break the game just because you're skillful. Something requiring skill is not a good excuse to break the game. There is 0 excuse to break the game. YOU brought up SWF which I TOLD YOU THE DEVS ARE WORKING ON. Which THEY HAVE SAID THEY ARE WORKING ON. There is no double standard. They took the more complicated and difficult route of fixing survivor with friends. I don't even know what the point of bringing it up is. If you want to argue the quality of her changes that's fine, but to say her base kit isn't broken is asanine.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/897090#Comment_897090
Believing that being to ignore all defense survivors have is kinds yikes bro.
This comes down to a difference in opinion, then. You believe, and apparently a few others, that Nurse breaks the game. I, and others, don't. Base kit Nurse, to clarify. She is fine. She took skill both to play, and play against. Whether or not you care for that skill gap is irrelevant. Again, comes down to opinion.
Not like it matters now, they butchered the poor girl. How many Nurse players are there, now? Nobody wants to touch her. Which makes me wonder where the devs are getting their 'her numbers are going back up.' For all we know, that climb could be a single digit.

What if I told you....that I also think SWF with Comms is just as broken as nurse...because it is...
Didn't see that one coming did you?
However the difference is the devs plan on changing the rules of the game entirely, bring solo survivor's up to the level of SWF and then bring killers up to that level as well.
What gets ME is that you attempted to appeal to hypocrisy by assuming I'm okay with SWF as it is now. Not only are you wrong, you clearly show that your intentions are to argue in bad faith.
We agree on something. Congrats, I guess? My point was a seemingly double standard. Devs think SWF is fine. If that's the case, then Nurse should be fine as well. Both 'break the game,' by your definition. So if they're okay with it, is it breaking the game?
What does them bringing solos up to SWF level have to do with anything, though? That's a topic for another time, though I do wish they would give some kind of roadmap on that. If you're trying to point out that they're 'working on game breaking mechanics,' I still disagree that Nurse, basekit, is game breaking.
First, her skill cap alone was a hindrance. Take away omega blink, and how many 'good' Nurse players were there compared to the rest? She could do well with no addons, but it took extra work, which is why omega blink was so popular. And so easy. Then her fatigue. People seem to forget that's her drawback, and failed to use it. You can get a lot done in the two seconds she can't see you. Slapping yet another cool down on top of her cool down in the way they did comes off as both sloppy and lazy to me.
Like most killers, they take a bit of time to learn. Nurse was no different. What the devs should have done was hold off on the base kit changes. Throw in the new addons, and wait. Watch the data. See what changes, before implementing any change to her base kit. Give a chance for the changes to settle, and see where Nurse falls into line. As it stands, in the month and a half since the changes, I've had two matches against a Nurse. Two. And it was a stomp. I can only imagine how it must have felt being the Nurse.
I'm not saying she wasn't tricky to go against. Against a good Nurse, you couldn't use the usual killer tactics. But that's the whole learning process. I used to have fun with it (minus omega blink, or some of those distance addons), but I can see where some of the problems came from. That doesn't mean I thought her base kit needed the hit.

Idgaf how much skill a character takes. You. Don't. Get. To. Break. The. Game. She can LITERALLY IGNORE ALL OF SURVIVORS DEFENSES. Sorry folks but that's game breaking.
If it were game breaking, the devs wouldn't allow it. Sounds to me you just need to 'git gud.' She isn't hard to figure out. You can't play against her like you would Trapper or Bubba. But then, most people that complain are people that just don't want to learn.
If you think she's game breaking, then I have every right to say SWF with comms is game breaking. That can LITERALLY IGNORE THE MAJORITY OF KILLERS THOUGHTS/PLANS/ACTIONS. It goes both ways.
What gets me is the people saying that she needed a cool down on her power, forgetting that she already does. Her fatigue. Honestly, all this nerf to basekit did was slap a cool down. . . on her cool down. It's stupid. Her addon changes? Those were good. They were needed. I have no issue with that. But basekit? No.
-
Depends on the killer. Usually I only have it equipped on killers I don't have many perks unlocked. Or if I was just run around by a SWF the last match and feeling vindictive.
-
The dc ban isn't supposed to be active till tomorrow. Seeing as the devs want us to suffer with it till they are good and ready, I don't see why not.
-
Probably because, like me, we're not playing the game until they fix the basement bug.
-
Why not a pure random mode? As soon as five people are in the lobby, the match starts. One is selected at random as the killer. All characters are selected at random, with random perk builds. No offerings, no addons.
-
The first one is OP, but I like the idea behind the second. Would be interesting to play around.
-
I haven't seen anybody asking for his nerf, at least legitimately. A random rant post here and there, but nothing like Freddy, Spirit, and Plague.

To be fair, you should just let them go if they run to these loops. Catch them away from the loop. While they need to be fixed, yes, at the same time you should know to just let them go because taking that chase is a loss.
The fact that they're still a thing is dumb.

Actually I agree with what your saying but killer takes 10 seconds to find a game always. Never more
Then you must be in an alternate universe. Seven minutes is my normal wait. I can't play at peak hours. Between 10 pm to midnight is my only window except weekends, so it takes me awhile to get into a match. And it sucks when the lobby finally does pop, only to see a sweaty looking comp.

Is it too much to ask for killers to suck it up so players don't have to wait 30 minutes to play a 10 minute game?
You make it sound like us killers don't have to wait for ten minutes ourselves. I don't want to wait ten minutes, only to pop into a lobby with three toolboxes and a key. You might think it's fun to gen rush a five minute match and teabag out the exit, but I don't. Is it too much to ask for survivors to suck it up and leave your toys at home so we can have a decent ten minute match?
-
Why not let him reload traps from lockers, or even chests? Instead of trekking across the map for them.
-
Because playing killer is stressful. We're on a clock, and since there is a whole host of killer characters that have nothing to counter looping, it's really easy to eat up the time placed on that clock. I get the point of looping, I do, that doesn't mean I have to like it.
-
Personally, it's not his shred I have so much of an issue with. It can act as bait. A lot of my hits come with me baiting the shred into a M1. Though, using an ability just as bait does sound funny.
My biggest issue with his power is the portals. They 'can' be a great way to build map pressure. But to get there, you need to transverse the map a few times in order to lay out that network. By then, two gens have popped. Then, he has to let everybody know that network is up and going with that global scream. Third, everybody can see the portals. They're quick to destroy, and it's usually done when a survivor sees you scurrying into one. Lose one, and you lose a section of the map to pressure.
Once you use up your portal allotment, that's it. If you have them in a bad spot, or a spot becomes bad when the gen pops, that's it. You can't destroy them, and that really hurts. I agree that they shouldn't be recycled like Hags, but at least give Demo the ability to destroy them when near or on the portals.
And of course, his addons. Like it has been said, they suck.Rounding back to how loud he is, why wasn't there an ultra rare that muted the global roar? Seems like a no brainer. Yes, he does have a few decent addons, but the majority are just pointless. If anything could use a rework, it's those.
-
I remember last week, my team left me to die on first hook. The entire time I'm hanging there, I'm watching them crouch around the back end of the map. Against Clown. He got into a chase with somebody, and what do the other two do? Hide. I died. Was not pleased. When I brought it up, one said 'I was too far away to save.'
-

Demogorgon has issues. Whenever I play him, if I start to struggle I don't know how to come back. Its so puzzling because on paper, Demo has everything a killer wish he had. Map pressure via his portals and a tool to help him deal with chases.
I think shred is fine. Its not easy to land, its not always the best option, but when used at the right time it can catch a survivor at a window or quickly deal with pallets.
The problem is the portals. They take time to setup and are nowhere near as convenient as Freddy's generator teleport. Plus survivors can remove them and they don't really hinder them in any way if they chose to ignore them. Active portals also emit an ambient noise within 8 meters, but their default detection range for Killer Instinct is 4 meters and they only inflict oblivious to survivor is they stand within touch distance. They are too easy to spot and completly harmless.
Also worth mentionning is that a lot of the Demogorgon's add-ons are absolutly terrible. All they do is some very very small numerical changes that don't matter most of the time.
To me the portals mechanics need to be tweaked and his add-on looked at.
Personally, I'd give him the ability to destroy his portals, so long as he's standing on them.
Second, I'd add an addon that made his traversal silent. It bugs me that everything he does, he does so loudly.
