  • Toss up. A fun killer is always enjoyable, but not having the perks to back it up can sap the fun out of it. Depends on the killer, as well.

  • The problem atm is that we can't actually talk about why we may personally dc. The mods send warnings for that, apparently.

You can't really lump everybody who dces together, though. Sure, you get the lowest of the low that do it just because they're losing. I know I've had my fair share of teabaggers that'll dc the moment you minegame them out of a loop.

But at the same time, you can have people dcing for other reasons, such as 4k slugging and leaving all four to bleed out, or a doc that'll three gen and leave it at that. So, is that worth dcing? That's up to players to decide. In a lot of cases, it comes off as a symptom, as a previous post said.

It's give and take. Maybe if there was a system in place that lowered the amount of gens needed for each dc? Or survivors gained some time limited boost when somebody dces? I don't know, and again, I agree it can be annoying. But to lump it all together and treat it as one issue is a bit short sighted.

  • Devs claimed awhile back that they were looking into it. But knowing them, it'll be years before anything like it is implemented.

  • I've seen the work done on this by the community. Some amazing pieces. Doubt the devs will do anything about it, seeing as it takes them ages for simple fixes. Imagine how long it would take, if they put this on their list, to actually implement unique music, even if pulled from what the community has created?

  • This one still sticks me me. Dude claimed he reported my Plague because 'I could see through, and hit through, walls.' I had Black Incense, which he ignored. I also know how to, you know, puke over walls and through windows. When I pointed that out, he dismissed it and claimed I was wall hacking. With plenty of name calling thrown in to spice it up.

  • How did you make it to red ranks with Bubba and Wraith. . .

  • Personally, I love Hag's skin. Plague, though, has the worst. Looks like a bunch of painful zits all over her.

I like the sounds, i don't think they should remove any sounds. I also wonder about Of The Abyss because does it show you where people are if they are healthy? or only injured? The Lackluster is definitely there, everything he does just requires so much time wasting lol

I'm talking about the global call that is made when he travels via his portals. He should have an iri addon that removes it. Think of the head games you could play on survivors if they didn't have that warning? He's B tier at the most, he needs a little something extra to help him out.

  • If more than two toolboxes pop, I will dodge. Not interested in a game that's shorter than the que time I had to wait through.

If more than two medkits pop, I'm bringing my Plague, no question.

  • No? You can't start banning people for stupid stuff like this. It's annoying, sure, and 'can' be a hit to the ego if you really tried that match and were just outplayed, but still. Slippery slope.

  • Not a fan of Noob3 for that reason.

Still pallet loops are a thing. We've all known that. Doesn't automatically mean they will be toxic twats over it.

  • That's solo life. Run Kindred to give them needed info.

  • Survivors always turn on a killer when a perk is changed and favors them in some way. Now that Plague is creeping up the play list, and I'm guessing after the next rank reset, you'll see a new wave of 'omg nerf Plague stupid op' posts. Much like Spirit.

  • Nothing wrong with base Nurse's kit. While she could bypass the standard defenses survivors have, LoS is her biggest vulnerability. Once you break it, it's a guessing game. Just need to learn how to beat her in a different fashion than the other killers.

I still don't see why they needed to touch it. But a learning lesson. 'Slight tweak' means something completely different to the devs than us plebs.

  • I think if he were able to destroy his portals (standing over them, of course), he'd be in a better position. His addons need work as well. Maybe if one could alert him when a portal is being worked on, instead of broken. Another could turn off that global sound notification when he uses said portals.

Not to mention how lackluster his own perks are.

  • I use Thana, Dying Light, Ruin, BBQ. If you use her Black Incense addon, swap out BBQ for PGTW.

  • Weak bait.

  • Went up against a streamer yesterday. He and two others dced within the first few minutes. I let the last dude have hatch, then went and looked up the streamer. Found my match. Dude was toxic, dced just to piss me off. His party followed, and the last dude? He was in the party as well, but was going to tea bag the hatch when I got near. I just happened to find him first.

Looks like I won't be giving the hatch out of for awhile.

  • Her addons needed the rework, not her base kit. And the route they took with that 'slight tweak?' Incredibly stupid on the devs part, in my opinion. Two nerfs to her power (People seem to forget that her fatigue is a nerf)? Why?. Just increase the duration of her fatigue by half a second, instead of slapping on a cooldown. Not to mention how pointless most of her new addons are as it is. I mean, a good handful are just for farming.

My worry is that they'll do the same stupid 'slight tweaks' to the other strong killers in the cast. I see Nurse as the start. Spirit will be next, and then we'll see two thousand posts about Billy after.

This has happened to me before...

My Sprint Burst was bugged and I had an infinite Sprint Burst. Lol

It's never happened to me, but I had a match with something similar. Jane's Lithe bugged out when she vaulted and I hit her, and for the rest of the match, she was a speed demon.

  • She's become more popular due to Dying Light being buffed. Works well with both her Vile and Thana.

  • Ruin, BBQ, Thana, Dying Light.

Early on, your goal is just to spread infection. Don't commit too long to chases unless you know you can down them early. Don't rely on Corrupt, it's iffy if they'll cleanses. Your job is to slow the match down as much as possible, as quickly as possible. Hence, Ruin, Thana, and DL.

Puke on gens. They can act as both a deterrent and provide some map awareness. Remember that you can puke on totems as well.

For addons, I like to use an apple, and something to benefit Vile. Increased efficiency on it is great. If you use Black Incense, swap out BBQ for PGTW.

Infected make a lot of noise. Use that to your advantage.

If you have Corrupt up, respect pallets. A stun knocks it out of you. If you're close enough to be pallet stunned, you're close enough to respect it and vomit on them.

Watch for green smoke. Great visual cue to their location, especially if they try to hide in a locker.

Only broken survivors can spread infection, which is why you want to spread as much of it as you can early on.

Strategize corrupted pool locations. If there's one near an exit gate, leave it. If they're opening that gate later in the match, that's the time to use it.

Remember that you can infect survivors just by them touching something infected. You can scare them off loops just by infecting a pallet or window. Use that.

You're tall. Much more so than most other killers, so try and use the environment to hide you from a distance. Trees, walls, buildings, junk, etc.

Work out the range of your vomit. It has distance, and can reach over walls. Once you know it, wiggle your mouse in a 90 degree cone. Makes it easier to hit if they attempt to dodge.

Killers don't want solos to be brought up to swf levels, they want swf to be brought down to solo levels.

As a killer main, I disagree. If solo buffs allows M1 killer buffs, I'm all for it. Would love to have a greater diversity in my options when it comes to high ranks, both in who I'm against and who I can play as.

  • Right?! I think the game knows, and puts you against toxic folks when you're trying to be weird.

  • The worst is when you miss a tap for some random reason, and die from it.

when I play killer, the first gen is fixed before I even get there in first minute..

    pErfEcTlY bAlaNce

There's a lot of context being left out. You could be going to all the wrong gens in your first patrol, thus giving enough time for that gen pop. Or all four could have spawned together. Or two with decent toolboxes. Or even Leader. A lot going on at the time.

With that said, there are a lot of games where gens just pop left and right, especially in higher ranks. Sometimes it doesn't even feel worth the effort with them going in under a few minutes.

The only thing I dislike about the Plague is that she nullifies Iron Will, and that’s pretty bs. You get so noisy when you’re sick...

Then cleanse! Vommy Mommy will thank you immensely for that. I will thank you immensely for that.

Plus, has there ever been a time when you're throwing your guts up and it wasn't noisy?

  • I've never gotten to red ranks. Rank 6 was the highest, before a stream of dcing against my Plague ended that. Then rank reset followed.

  • The fact that I get the infinite loading screen AFTER a match sours me to them.

  • Two things come to mind. Either it's a speed hack, or sprint burst bugged out. Though this seems faster than sprint burst.

  • I just got one from a teabagger who told me to slit my wrists. Yikes.

  • What gets me is that they can leave comments, yet their own profiles are private. Steam shouldn't allow that. If your profile is closed, you should not be able to post unless to a friends page.

  • Want to end the Instaheal madness? Play Plague! They CAN'T heal when infected! I always get giddy when the que pops, and I see two or more medkits be brought out. It does my heart good.

To punish them even more, run Thana and Dying. Then giggle! Chuckle! Laugh! Mock their attempts at healing, then rake in the salt in post game chat at you being a baby killer for denying them such goodness!

  • It's her head that really bugs me. It's like it was half done. They could have at least added hair to the one side

  • Has anybody been having the weird stutter through their matches? Every few seconds there will be a quarter of a second pause. And it repeats.

That and the infinite loading after the match.

  • O dear. . . if OP has this reaction to an Ivory, I wish to see his reaction to an Ebony. . .

  • @CrowFoxy said:

It means somebody dced during load screen, generally.

Yeah, but that's when you're loading INTO a match. I'm referring to when you're exiting a match.

  • @TheGhostFaceMain said:

I believe those that are under Nurse and Spirit is Hillbilly, Freddy, Huntress, & Demogorgon (if play him well) in that order. The reason for Hillbilly being the highest is because of how his power is easily countered by survivors like destroying portals, doing gens/ being awake, and running out of your ability if the survivor outplays your hatchets.

This is all my opinion but I'd like to hear others.

Replace Demo with Hag. His Shred is nice, but you can beat her smaller terror radius and short stature. Plus, her traps can be recycled, unlike his.

  • It's fine. If you're close enough to eat a pallet like that, you're close enough to respect it in the first place and puke, ensuring a hit.

That said, it doesn't make much sense. Unless she swallows her corrupt? Her guts lose the formula? I dunno. Just odd, but still. Doesn't change anything.

  • I was called sweaty the other day for running a 'meta' build on my Plague. By that logic, any build that is solid makes the player sweaty, killer or survivor.

  • Isn't Iron Will a must at red rank, seeing as Spirit is in nearly every match?

  • Game favors killers in low rank. Game favors survivors in high rank.

  • @Eleghost said:

Ah, you had me until you blamed SWF. To be honest the game is probably balanced more around ranks 10-20. More for the "casual" player.

Why? SWF bring their communication and organization. They can effectively apply their own form of pressure on the match that solos just can't compete with, unless you have one of those 1 in a million, all in sync teammates that have telepathy. You can't bring an M1 killer against a half way decent SWF and expect a 'fair and balanced' match. The 'Big Three' enabled that. Maybe a little higher, or a little lower in terms of skill, but they have, and maybe had in the Nurses case, the means to even things out.

So, my meaning is that there's a large gap between much of the roster, and the top three. M1 killers fair better, of course, against solo player than they do with SWF. Thus, the disparity. So, are we balancing from the bottom up, or the top down, when it comes to killer/survivors? This nerf seems like it's meant for lower ranked matchups, which I'm for, but it's going to hit high ranks harder. Especially if the devs just go for it and hit the Spirit and Billy.

Noed is a completed balanced perk with built in counter-play, something both mettle of man and decisive didnt have, thus having those 2 perks reworked.

Noed has also only really seen nerfs since its release, not buffs.

So yeah, noed is in a good spot with a fair amount of counterplay to it.

It's not 'completely' balanced. If there was a totem counter, then it would be balanced. As it stands, for solos who don't know who is doing totems, if anybody, it's a struggle.

  • Good. I can play Wraith again without feeling the high rank pressure. Maybe I'll start grinding out Freddy, for that Bloodwarden. . .

  • Ghostface for the jump scares. I've had some bad plays, just because he caught me with my pants down more than any other killer out there.

  • As a survivor? Yes.

As a killer? Hell no. Too much of a time crunch.

  • Mori's aren't comparable to insta heals, though. Keys would be in the same ball park. If the mori get fixed, I hope keys would as well.
