How long would it take to change values in a description? Once it's done for all, and a change needs to be made, a few minutes at most?
-
Walked over the open hatch with a survivor in order to get to the hook I barely made. Just cause.
-
I was playing Hag, saw this post, and it gave me an idea for an ultra. You know how, when Nurse blinks, her body vanishes and there's that dash like effect till she reappears? What if her body didn't leave, the dash effect disappeared. It would be similar to Spirit's passive phase. Survivor wouldn't know she blinked, and would need to guess that was the case.
-
Even worse? I had a Spirit yesterday who started lagswitching when the gate opened because they hadn't managed to get a kill. A Spirit. Lagswitching. Baby killers, man.
-
It took them two years to do anything about Freddy. So, give it another year and a half. If there's anything you should learn about the devs, is that they are notoriously slow to do anything. Look how long it took them to fix the sprint burst exploit?

And tunneling a survivor with DS is a good idea because.... ?
The problem is how long DS lasts. You could go after a completely other survivor, go through a chase, down, hook, then find the other dude and still get DS.
-
Maybe if his power was more in line like Doctor? The madness portion, I'm referring too. Could be referred to as insanity or something, where the higher the amount of fumes they breath in, the more they start cackling like a deranged chimp.
-
Neither does SWF making a good survivor, but you still see 4 man groups teabagging and shaming the killer.

XENOMORPH. RIPLEY. NOSTROMO.
This. I'd love to see a Xeno ingame, though wouldn't it play closely to Pig's style? Unless they figure out how to allow it to climb walls and ceilings.

Trapper. After four of his traps have been either disarmed or broken, flies into a rage and starts throwing his remaining traps like Huntress does her hatchets, When they hit, they instantly mori.
Or, you know, let him start off with at least two. Maybe have him restock at chests as well? And change their aura! Sometimes I'll walk back and forth over them, not being able to see them myself.
-
I'd remove ebony mori. Or, if it was to be changed, maybe allow two kills. And the universal change would be after second hook.
As for keys, I'm a firm believer in that keys should only allow the holder to escape. After it's used, the hatch is closed again.
-
The only time I actively try and punish toxicity is when they sandbag their fellow survivors on purpose.
-
I did last week. Needed the boost to finish off Billy and Legion, so that I never have to touch them again.
-
No. They just said she's on their list, so maybe they'll get to work after Stranger Things drops in a few weeks, getting her ready for the next chapter.
-
You are aware that her addons are being reworked in the future, right? Her base kit is getting some slight changes as well, so they've said.
-
Instinct only activates when the portal itself is active. Which means that it can be destroyed. So, destroy the portal, have him run you around a bit, somebody else breaks totem. Not much different than Hag, honestly.
-
Question. Can survivors see inactive portals? I know they can close active, so they can apparently see them open. But ones that have been placed, but not used. Are they visible to survivors?

I just came from a match against Plague where 1) she face camped and 2) two team mates cleansed. Yeah, I'm not sticking around for that.
-
As a leftie myself, I demand left handed representation in the killer community!
-
Hide in a locker till they're all dead, then find hatch.
-
I personally feel that keys should only allow the holder to escape. If done, then remove ebony mori.

Rofl. I don't camp.
But that does not stop whiny players from claiming using Hag's traps to teleport is the same as camping. Or stop them from trying to unhook while I'm still walking away, so they whine that I should have kept walking instead of turning around and seeing them 5 feet from me going for an unhook.
Shows you can't plan 3 steps ahead, and have to blame the Killer & 'cheap tactics' instead of yourself when you lose.
I didn't say you did. It was a blanket statement. I'm salty atm from a bad Freddy match, so I apologize if I come off a bit testy.
My point was that generally, facecamping is settled into two camps. The killer is out to get you, and only you, for some slight against their ego. Or two, they don't know how to catch anybody else, and want to secure a kill before moving on.
Either of those cases, you can't really stop. If they don't want to leave, they won't leave. Thus, the whole point of this thread. Campers are still people, so no matter how many perks, or hits to blood points, or black pips you throw at them, they won't change. Crying foul as if it will change their minds is next to pointless.

And the other half think the Killer should never achieve more than a 2K, no matter how hard they work, and ONLY get that 2K if they follow the poster's made-up rules or it was 'unfair' or 'OP' or 'broken mechanics'.
Hey, if you have to face camp to get a kill, more power to you. Shows you can't juggle/loop/mindgame, but hey, so long as you have to resort to noob tactics to win.
-
My issue with all these camping threads is most think the killer is some bot the devs can program. It's a person. No matter how much you might dislike it, you can't reprogram a person's playstyle. If they want to face camp you, they're going to face camp you.

Don't cleanse until all gens are done. If anybody cleanses before that, she becomes S tier
As a Plague main, I hope you ignore that advice and cleanse. Please.
-
What about tying the ebony to totems? Unlit totems. Loses a charge for each totem broke, not counting lit. It would encourage totem breaking, and maybe slow gen rush?
-
I'm with you. I don't know why it takes them forever just to make small changes. Hell, look at how long it takes for them to fix exploits. Literally game breaking bugs, like the sprint burst crap, took them two months to get around to fixing. Not even having the common decency to disable the perk. Stuff like this is a sign of either a lazy team, or a badly designed game code.

Took me a while to figure out "Exposed" doesn't mean the killer can see my aura.
This. This this this. Except, the other way around. I would hit them with the exposed effect, and couldn't figure out why I couldn't see their aura.
-
Only the first part, I'm okay with, especially ebony.
-
If a person dcs on first hook, that's on them. If they dc because of a toxic slugger (I still don't understand why people actually defend slugging an entire team), that's fine. I do it myself. I'm not going to wait three minutes just so the killer can get his jollies off on it.
Meaning, it depends on the reason for the dc. Just because you were first down, that's an issue. But if the team/killer are toxic/poor net connection, it's more acceptable.
-
You really can't stop tunneling/camping, though. Killers are people too, who want to win. That definition differs from player to player. Some think making a guy dc, or face camping them equals winning. No amount of perks/bp loss is going to change that.
-
Should have told them they were bad friends for not saving their bud, then immerse yourself in the salt they fling.
But yeah, salt everywhere. More predominate survivor side, since it's four players, usually. Just gg and exit the lobby as soon as it's over. That'll really get their panties in a twist.
-
I want to know if Surge works with PGTW. If so, that's my combo.
-
@aazimuth said:
100% support this. Getting slugged while the killer is looking for the last person and they end up just being super immersed is not a fun experience which is why most people just end up dc'ing.
I don't mind being the third down and slugged while they try for the 4k. My issue is when the entire team of four is slugged, then left to rot. So, maybe have the option if that happens, but removed if it's down to the last two people? I don't know. I just know that I am frustrated by this slugging mess, and people thinking it's their right to do so, just because they can.
-
Fine. Slap on a bunch of points to the killer when a survivor uses it, like they get for a quitter bonus.

By letting them do it for no punishment..?
Sitting around for a minute and a half isn't punishment enough? You said they rob killer of points. Slugging all of them doesn't rob survivors of points?
-
How are totems spawned, anyway? Are there placements preset on the map, then when the game starts, they're randomly filled? Or does it go by tile? If it goes by tile, it would make more sense why a totem spawns out in the open, when it would be behind a bush at the same location, but a different tile was used.
-
It depends on the killer, for me. I still use Ruin on Hag, for instance. But on killers like Plague? PGTW.
-
Could be a SWF. That'll throw matchmaking off as well.
-
Plague. That feeling when that one survivor cleanses, and you watch the other survivors scatter. Plus, Vommy Mommy just looks amazing.
-
I still wish there was a suicide option. Much like struggling on a hook, it would be nice if there was a 'give up' option if your meter gets to half while down.
-
What's stopping the final survivor from holding the match hostage by hiding in a locker if there is no timer to put pressure on them?
-
I'll admit, I'm one of the survivors that'll dc if I'm being tunneled. The obvious kind of tunnel, not 'o, I can't get to that other guy due to 'insert perk here/environmental object here' type deal. Especially if it's early in the match.
-
Once went against a four man. Or a three man with a good solo, was unsure. Built for vile instead of corrupt, with the lovely Black Incense and. . . that one purple that considerably increases vile effectiveness. They had the usual mindset of not cleansing. This allowed me to see where they were at at all times.
After the 4k and in post lobby, I was called a hacker for the very first time in my DbD career, and for two different reasons. Apparently, I was vomiting 'through the wall.' Which I did, because there was a window. It's called hacking, apparently. Second, because I 'always knew where we were at, you're map hacking baby killer, enjoy the ban.'
Ah, that was a good match.
-
I enjoy playing with a buddy, but will be the most toxic scrub when facing a swf.
-
Because they have their friends on their side. The know they have backup. It's why bullies never do anything alone, and need a crew to watch them.
-
I am not going to run a match where the killer slugs all the time, nor am I going to run one against a 4 man who thinks it's their job in life to make my own miserable.
-
Funny you say this, because I'm in the same boat. Killer main myself, but I just went through a power grind of Myers, Billy, and Clown for their perks. Felt burnt out, so I started survivor again today.
It's been maddening seeing just how bad these killers/survivors are. Had a pair of survivors heal while INSIDE the basement with killer near. Then you have those that pull you off hook while the killer is looking right at them. Or those that insist on crouching the entire match thinking they're Solid Snake. Don't even get me started on the guy who'll throw a pallet down just as he sees the killer getting near, without even attempting to loop.
Still, though, I have to admit the experience is pretty chill compared to the time crunch that is my time as killer.
-
O, I especially love 2 and 4. I've had the same thought process for 4. I wouldn't mind a skill debuff, but why not change it up and make skill checks more difficult? Either of them is fine by me. That idea for a base Black Incense is nice. Maybe even give a puke trail like a blood trail?
