obviously not. billy has ample counterplay
So did base Nurse, but that didn't stop survivors from crying to mommy devs.
-
I think what has me most annoyed over anything, is that when they first announced Nurse being looked at, they said their primary focus was on her addons, while her base kit would be getting 'slight tweaks.' Their words. Slight tweaks.
This is most certainly NOT a 'slight tweak.'

Nurse players need to get even better then. It's a nerf that ensures skilled players get their man, while those who aren't as skilled need to git gud.
In other words, hit your strikes after the blink. If you can't, survivor gets away. Sounds good to me.
Right. Killer players need to always be on their toes, while survivors can coast through a match with their M1 key alone.

Correction: New SURVIVOR players.
and yes. A survivor that is succeeding and having fun is a survivor that will drop money. I discussed it in another thread but survivors make up 80% of the player base.I
you always try to keep 80% of your customers happy.
What about killers? You can't have this game if one side just gives up at high level because there's no solid counters anymore. When killers leave, what happens to those 'happy' survivors? Either they switch to killer, become unhappy, and leave, or they leave anyway because there's no challenge.
Killers drop money as well, ya know. But seeing as killers are boxed into three characters already if they want to be viable at high rank, that's a thin line to balance. This game isn't just survivor sided.
-
@Attackfrog said:
Nope. It would be too powerful. If I'm a new survivor playing against nurse and I get frustrated or don't feel strong, I won't spend money on the game.
And then you get to high rank and find that you have no competition, because devs have nerfed solid counters to swf to make newer players happy. Okay.
-
Yeah, she is. Survivors always complain about optimal killers. Now that they know the devs will butcher one of the top three, they'll feel empowered to up the complaining about her.

And 2.5 seconds of that cooldown is already gone after your fatigue.
See, I don't get that. What's the point of fatigue if she has a cool down now? And that cool down plays out during fatigue. Why can't it be one or the other? It just sounds like this cool down crap was a last second decision that they slapped on for no other reason than to do it.

Another True video...... On to the point, even with this nerf Nurse isn't gonna be bottom tier. She will still be better than clown and Legion.
True. But the issue is that Nurse was one of the only three killers that can match an optimal survivor team. I won't judge just how badly this may effect Nurse yet until I see it in action, but from what it reads, it's going to be pretty bad. It'll depend on how they stack both the cool down and fatigue.

It bugs me that they wasn't an ultra rare that silenced his portal travel. That's a no brainer, right? Or at least an addon that gives us the sound notification at the start of a survivor breaking a portal, instead of at the end when they actually break it. Just feels like they got lazy with his addons, to be honest.

Admittedly, it does break up the monotony of "Change/keep DS/NOED/Instaheal/Mori" posts.
And the flood of 'Nerf Spirit' posts.
Though admittedly, she's next on the chopping block, poor girl.
-
Remember when they said the focus of her 'rework' was to fix her addons? Then they said her base kit would get 'slight tweaking, mostly just the numbers?' I said before that people were leery of 'slight tweaking,' because we have Legion as an example. They just proved they don't know what 'slight tweaking' really means.

Insta heal and new parts are a one time thing which is why I compared it to apple add on (thanks for telling me the name).
Loop her in corrupt stage...What killers have you gone up against to think any of them would be dumb enough to allow them to get stun? Also, how can you loop her?
It's from the one corrupt that can easily make a comeback. I don't see how it can't.
You make it sound like her corrupt is up the entire match. It does have a time limit. Unless everybody is all bunched together, it's not that much of a worry.
Again, the apple is only for one pool. Once it's gone, it's gone. It lasts 30 seconds. Just loop her. The puke doesn't corner, and she slows down when charging it up.
Sure, if you're in an empty section, it's much more difficult. If there's something near you to hide behind, do it. There's a reason people loop trees.
Yes, a Plague can make a comeback with a good dose of Corrupt, but she's a killer. It's what she's supposed to do. If she has corrupt, don't bunch up. Use the environment against her. It doesn't last forever, and if nobody else cleansed during the match, it's her only shot.

Survivors had items that allows them to insta heal and brand new part that can do gens in less than 40 seconds. So since that survivors have items to do their objective it is perfectly fine and the devs should add items for survivors to do gens in 10 seconds. That is how I see your point if we switch it to a survivor side.
The point of her ability without add ons is to allow the survivors to choose rather they want to be broken or not. So by add ons basically ignoring the whole choices and leaving all survivors injured which can cause the killer to easily make her come back no matter how many gens she done.
You guys say hide, but let me ask you the question. What if the killer has Black Incense? You also know it's hard to hide when you are constantly puking, not to mention the puke state gives out your location if in lockers. So hiding isn't possible.
I. . . what? How are instaheals/New Parts comparable to Apple addons? It's ONE pool. You're making it seem like that pool regenerates corruption after she uses it.
Just loop her. Pallet stun her if she has corrupt, it'll knock it out. Once it's gone, it's gone. Unless somebody cleanses, she's an M1 killer.
-
So, she has an addon that lets her actually use her power, instead of, you know, being denied her own ability by survivors, and you want it removed? Seriously? Just hide when you hear the bell.
-
What if they just buffed her movement speed to 100%? Seeing as how they want to nerf her map pressure, at least give her a chance to actually chase survivors.
-
Remember when they said her basekit would 'get slight tweaks, mostly just the numbers?' If this counts as a 'slight tweak,' I'd hate to imagine what a big tweak would be like.
-
Green doesn't count.
-
I like it, because it allows me to play killers I can't play in higher ranks.

Peanits has confirmed that voice comms aren’t cheating.
Of course they say that. They don't play against it, at least not as regularly as we do. The salt has yet to seep in.

Over and over the same two killers: Spirit and Nurse. I understand that most of the killer struggles against good survivors, but please at least try to play Demo, I didn't face him from almost a week.
Why? So poor Demo can be teabagged at every loop and called a baby killer in post game because he just can't apply pressure as well as Nurse and Spirit?
-

Get ready for "git gud" comments by our entitled killer mains.
I bet you teabag the killer, pop your instaheal, and sprint burst out of there.
-
I like Claudette, though. . . she's cute. Plus, she gave me my nurse type perk set that I enjoy.
-
That's the natural order, bud. Solo prevails over swf. Just need to get used to it.
Though it could just be a bug with todays patch. Check the bug forum to see if anybody else is having those issues.
-
And in my opinion, I think far too many survivor players just can't cope with a strong, independent killer like Spirit. They'd prefer docile Trappers.
-
Camping is pretty broad. I've been b**ed at for chasing somebody near a hooked survivor. Face camping, though, that's intentional, and poor sportsmanship.
-
Lemme guess, survivor main?
-
Want to make M1 killers more viable? Fix maps. Second would be gen speed. Either add another objective, or decrease the amount of three and four man gens that spawn.
-
I've stopped for now. Get a bit salty at the fourth swf team in a row teabagging me because I'm playing him. So I'm back to my Vommy Mommy making people rage quit.
-
Give her a bubble butt.
O, and change prayer beads. Maybe to give some type of global warning when she's phasing or something if using them?
-
As soon as they fix litter hitboxes. Really tired of these absurd map litter hitboxes.
-
No. Too much freedom. However, I do feel he should be able to destroy a portal, so long as he's standing on it.
-
I'd personally remove ebony mori. Ivory is good enough. I agree with keys. Only the user should be able to escape, though I wouldn't restrict it to EGC. At any point that the hatch appears, should be fair game. I'm okay with instaheals. Killers have instadowns. Toolboxes are fine as well. Annoying when they want to gen rush ya, but still valid.
-
I don't mind the builds, even NOED. I mind when I keep facing sluggers who think their goal in life is to make four other players play time miserable. But then, this community doesn't mind 4k sluggers, so I'm barking up the wrong tree.
-
Can that still be done? I assume they closed whatever backdoor was being used to do that. If that's the case, why keep the cap?
-
The biggest issue I feel new players have against Plague, is looping. They don't have that aspect down to an art form, yet, so it makes Plague seem to be a bigger threat than she is, the poor dear. She's strong against new players because her power has two aspects, and forces them to think differently than most other killers.
Once you get comfortable looping, you hold more power over her than she over you. Yes, her Vile breaks everybody, but then she still has to chase you down and hit you. If you're good at looping, you can elongate the chase to ungodly levels, at least by a killers standpoint. Remember, an objective survivors all follow it to waste a killers time to get gens done. Because she's an M1 killer (until somebody cleanses), she is forced into long chases. If a gen or two pops during your chase and you haven't been downed yet, consider yourself doing your job.
Now, I hope you disregard everything here and cleanse. Please. As a Vommy Mommy main, I cry on the inside when I play her and they all cleanse at the end of the match. Poor girl needs some love.
-
I think there's a bit less flak thrown at NOED now because of Inner Strength.
-
Woah woah woah. Hold up. Do my eyes deceive me? Is somebody actually complaining about Vommy Mommy?!
Don't cleanse. If you cleanse, you turn Plague from a M1 killer to a T3 Meyers with Huntress range. Just loop the poor lady. Really, that's all you need to do. She can't do much if nobody cleanses, and has to rely on mistakes by survivors.

What exploit? Gen tapping?
I'd like to know what exploit OP is talking about as well. It can't be gen tapping, that's been a known counter for Ruin for ages.
-
There's a reason why there are only three viable killers in top ranks. It's because they can apply map pressure consistently. Every other killer is at the whim of the survivors, in that they have to capitalize on mistakes made.
With that said, gen rushing isn't a survivor issue, it's a game balancing issue. As it's their only goal, you can't blame them for accomplishing that goal.
-
I'm for a three hook thing. And remove ebony. At the same time, I would allow keys to only let the holder escape. If an ebony shouldn't be allowed to kill four survivors, keys shouldn't allow four survivors to escape.
-
Die on hook, because there's a 4% chance of them escaping in their three attempts. Sometimes that's all that is needed to get out.
-
Daily ritual, if it pops. I will bring an ivory if they bring three or more toolboxes, though.
-
I still don't understand why they don't just shut it off till it's bugged state is fixed.
-
Why are instaheals a thing?
-
His perks are meh at best. Surge could be okay, but Pop just does a better job.
-
I didn't mean for it, but the survivors in my last match three genned themselves, then had the audacity to say I was camping.
-
Seems to be down for me right now as well.
-
I haven't found a lot of safe pallets, true, but there are a LOT of pallets. One at nearly every corner, it seems. Then you have all the vault locations, corners to lose line of sight, and an entire second floor to run around on. Yes, there aren't many safe pallets, but there's a lot of everything else to help make up for it.
-
I've seen a few streamers use Thana and Dying Light. Enduring, Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, Bamboozle, ya know, the standard M1 killer perks, seem to work with him as well.
