Here I thought I simply don't agree with your definition of a second chance perk. As for killer perks. What killer perk did I say couldn't be used? That's right. I didn't. If you want to use Ruin, go for it. Or any other perk for that matter.

The original person I quoted said Ruin would only get buffed because some people are sore loser. he implied that Ruin is used by people who need to win, so I pointed out all the second chance perks Survivors get while he's complaining about ONE Killer perk.

Now granted: NoED is also a second chance perk; it's a second chance to down a number of Survivors (depending on Killer skill). I will mention this in all fairness.

the way I see it, it would probably take a max of 6 seconds of struggle then the animation. The moris could also have a varying precent for how many the survivor has to correctly press which would be a bit of a panic mode for survivors.

That's still 6 seconds in which Survivors are hiding, healing, or doing gens. And then there's the chance the Survivor you're trying to kill will stun you & get away. And even if you kill them, now the animation has to play out afterwards.

That would in no way be worth using, man. The genrush meta is 3-5 minute matches. Time is too valuable to be spending on an item that might not even work.

  • @mmorrow8 said:

What if moris had a struggle phase, where survivors could repeatedly press keys/buttons (like during 2nd phase hook) to escape but the key/button to press will change every few presses. If you miss the majority of the presses you die and the animation could vary based on how many missed. If you get the majority correct, the survivor stuns the killer and goes free.

    2 things wrong with it"

    1) This would make Mori's take wayyyyy too long to do.

    2) No Killer would bring an item that both slows down their attempt to kill someone, AND gives that person a chance at getting free.

Except half that list is absolute trash. As for the other half.

Adrenaline rewards you for completing your objective. It's a time saver. But hardly a second chance.

D-strike counters tunneling. If it activates I'm not going to feel bad for you. You earned it.

Borrowed Time counters your camping. Again I don't feel bad for you.

Inner Strength is a second chance? I thought it was a heal you earned by completing the task you were set.

Point is, you position on second chance perks is laughable. Dead Hard is pretty much the only second chance perk. Even it is a buggy mess.

There's always an excuse as to why Survivors aren't bad for using their second chance perks, but Killers are bad/tryhard if they don't obey the Survivor Rulebook For Acceptable Killer Perks.

I agree with you 100% on a lot of things. Survivors will complain if you camp their friend when they are a full SWF yet they are gen rushing. However if you let them off the hook and they all escape they will gg ez and teabag you.

I guess at the end of the day those toxic players will be toxic no matter how you play. Not saying you are, but I have noticed that a lot of new killers think they are going against a full 4 man SWF when in reality they are not, so they might play extra try hard or sweaty every single game after that.

Solo survivors going against an upset killer because the last group gen rushed or tea bagged etc, are going to have zero fun if the killer plays like a dick. The strategies against camping and tunneling aren't going to be readily available for solo players due to lack of information that SWF players will have.

So in the eyes of solo survivors who get out of a game where all that happened was, "i died on first hook", "killer tunneled only me", "the killer slugged all 4 people right off the bat", they will come out having just a bad mindset towards these actions and start associating them with every killer and thus the vicious cycle we have continues.

Some of it is on the person to not get angry, too.

Like, I only play Survivor with friends. Not to be better, but just because it's more fun to shoot the breeze.

I logged into a match and the Killer, a Trapper, found me first...I assume found me first, at least.

He chased me while me & my friend split up. He downed me and hooked me and stayed nearby, head-banging.

Another player tried to unhook me, Trapper grabs them. While moving to drop them, my friend unhooks me.

The Trapper chases me again, ignoring: My friend who unhooked me, the player he dropped on the ground, and the player helping THAT player up.

I get hooked again and he headbangs in my face nonstop while I struggle. Once I'm head, he proceeds to just place traps around the hook I died on while ignoring the gates being powered & opened.

Did it make me mad? No. I was laughing so hard. This dude had a MASSIVE hate-on for me, and I don't know why.

He said nothing in end game chat, too. He just left. He tunneled the ever-loving hell out of me, and then left.

And for the record, I don't bring items in often, and I don't twerk (crouch spam), ever. Unless the Killer is messing around and we are all dancing around him like a totem pole.

None of us in that match (me, my friend, or the 2 randos) had any idea why he hated my guts, but I laughed it off rather than bringing the rage with me to pass off on someone else.

I am very much a killer main. I know camping, tunneling and slugging have their time and place. Even I however know no one likes playing against that, so you trying to argue against 90% of every games player base isn't going to go over well.

At the end of the day you can play however you want, and you will. But don't pretend that you are more skilled or better if you have to rely on camping and tunneling every single game to get your kills because the "idiot" survivors weren't skilled enough to get the unhook in your face.

You really come off as not that skilled and new to the game, so you try to belittle and make excuses for anytime you don't get a 4k. "It was an SWF, they were Gen Rushing me."

Lol. I rarely tunnel and I never camp. ..Ok, I camp if its my first kill & near EDC.

But the problem with trying to push punishments on Killers because you don't like a playstyle? That kind of thinking is ALSO what fuels Survivors to acts like complete knobs in end game chat.

'Ohhh! Scrub Killer had to camp!'

Or people who DC 'I did not actually die! The Killer was being a noob and camping me!'

I'm not saying people SHOULD camp. Hell, did you read my post where I break down why camping sucks? I'm just pointing out that people who demand punishments are in a toxic mindset, or not thinking about real balance, or don't realize that it has been tried & Survivors abused the hell out of it for free unhooks.

When you get down to it, I'm not arguing FOR camping. I'm arguing AGAINST easily-abuseable punishments and half-baked ideas shot out in a moment of rage. Most people who make up a 'Killer need to be punished!' thread are thinking about why THEY 'should not have died' rather than how it would screw over Killers or be abused.

And am I a bit hostile about it? Sure, but I've seen tons of people give reasons why it would not work, ending with the ever important 'It was tried. It was abused. It was removed.' and they get called 'Killer mains' as if that invalidates their arguments.

So I'm trying more harsh language and seeing if it sticks, for once.

Bro you have some extreme ego problems that based off the way you write just reeks of "I need to be better than everyone."

They aren't incorrect, you are over dramatizing everything you say, taking things to extremes. Not every game you play you will be genrushed by a 4 man SWF pro squad. The excuse of "If a killer is camping just do gens." That only works if you are on coms with an SWF. How are solo players supposed to know that you are camping without running out there and checking first.

Based off every post you make, you literally sound like a whiny baby that is zero fun to play with. Just because you want to play in such a toxic way doesn't mean that others do.

Also before you rant about how I'm a survivor main or I only care about survivor fun, I can tell you right now no one is having any fun in your games.

..You do realize one of the things camping accomplished before SWF was making someone come check? Like, that was literally the point before SWF came along and completely skewed the game? That's also why hook dancing was invented. If they wriggle, it means the Killer's near.

So tell me more how actual mechanics of the game with actual counters are unfair because Survivors are too lazy to learn them.

Tell me more how I'm being whiny while you and other Survivors are asking to be spoon-fed free unhooks and Killer punishments because you don't like a legitimate play style that already punishes itself.

Everyone who whines about camping is a lazy, bad player who just wants the game to hold their hand when they make bad plays or get salty.

    What a joke.

"And that person should in no way get a free unhooking or second chance just because they were the worst out of 4 players on their team"

WHAT LOL????? im done here youre clueless

Ok, let me put it another way.

A killer has to hook 4 people, who can each have 4 second chance perks apiece. It can take, in the current genrush meta, 1-3 generators to down & hook one person.

So how fair to the Killer is it if the Survivor gets a free unhooking, just because the game decided he was camping?

I mean, 2 Survivors could be clearly visible, teabagging outside his terror radius, forcing the Killer to either camp (and give the Survivor a free unhook) or chase the Survivor & let his friend unhook.

Or does Killer fun not matter? The Devs already tried a camping punishment and that situation I just listed? That happened. Survivors abused the hell out of it.

All you want is more second chances for Survivors because you don't actually care about game balance. You want a mechanic you can abuse to make the game easier for you.

So you're not only done here, you're also completely wrong. So feel free to stomp away and pretend like you won the discussion. It's like disconnecting, but on the forums.

I agree ruin is frustrating however, it will never be nurfed it will only get buffed with better totem spots because some people are never happy and are sore losers but why not run small game?

Imagine calling Ruin users sore losers while Survivors have Adren, D.Strike, Borrowed Time, Camaraderie, Deliverance, Inner Strength, Second Wind, Solidarity...And those are just second chance perks.

Nevermind all the ones that give Survivors increased running speed to go from pallet to pallet.

But sure, Killers are sore losers for trying to fight back in the 4 minute genrush meta. How dare Killers use ONE freaking perk while Survivors have literally more second-chance perk choices than they can use at once.

    Hypocrite much?

  • How about we do something about the genrush so Ruin is not a 100% required perk?

Because if they nerf Ruin while leaving 4-minute games untouched, I'm betting more than half the Killer players would outright stop playing Killer. Because it's just as unfun for a Killer to wait 11 minutes to find a match, then lose in 4 minutes.

seems like you ignored what i said to write some novella everyones heard 10000000 times.

FOR THE PERSON ON THE HOOK, THERE IS NO COUNTERPLAY.

Oh, I read it. You seemed to miss the point of my novella.

There will always be someone dying first. This is NOT the Killer's fault. The Killer should in no way be punished because someone had to die first.

And that person should in no way get a free unhooking or second chance just because they were the worst out of 4 players on their team.

Again; people whining for some sort of 'punishment' or 'counterplay' don't want it for balance. They want it because they, personally, want a second chance for no reason except that they find it unfair to die first.

But guess what? SOMEONE HAS TO DIE FIRST AND THE KILLER SHOULD NOT BE PUNISHED FOR THIS SIMPLE FACT.

So either man up and accept it when it happens to you, or stop playing a PvP game.

  • When I get slugged, I just spin in circles. Wheeeeeeeee. 😄

  • @HamdaN said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/807410#Comment_807410

because camping has 0 counterplay for the person on the hook. the game was made for u to die in 3 hooks not 1 because a snotty ass kid is triggered at looping. its bad game design

It's almost like, when you put a player into a game, you can't control every outcome. Huh.

It's not cheating. And, I mean, do you log into an FPS and demand the devs remove spawn camping? Scream at people not to play sniper classes, because those can oneshot & prevent newer players from playing?

No, judging by your post, you probably ran any infinites when they existed and gave a smug 'U mad I can loop?' reply.

Camping defeats itself. it does not need an anti-camp measure. It does not need the devs to throw in some half-baked punishment just because a Survivor is triggered that he died first. THAT would be bad game design.

    How does camping punish itself?

Well, it takes 2 minutes to die on the hook, if you don't kobe and you do struggle in second phase.. That's 120 seconds.

Doing a gen takes, at maximum (no toolboxes, no Great skillchecks hit, no skillchecks missed, no teaming up) 1 minute & 20 seconds. Or 80 seconds.

If every survivor does their own generator, that's 3/5 generators done with 40 seconds to spare. All to secure 1 kill.

And that's not adding in: finding a Survivor. Chasing a Survivor, hitting the Survivor, chasing the Survivor some more, hitting them again, picking them up, & carrying them to a hook.

In reality, camping 1 Survivor, from start to finish, is roughly 3 minutes, 20 seconds. Or 200 seconds.

That's MORE than enough time to do all 5 generators, since, with 2 left, you will probably group up a bit to do them faster.

So no, camping does not need some half baked, BS punishment made by a triggered Survivor who died first. You don't a get out of jail free card because you're not mature enough to handle a loss. And you certainly don't deserve it just because you are unskilled enough to be hooked first.

That's the real reasoning behind every 'Reee! Punish camping!' thread; it's someone who wants to second chance because THEY died first and that's 'unfair' in their head.

  • @Rivyn said:

Considering you carried a survivor around for fifteen minutes, I'd say you were the toxic one here. Probably why the first two left.

If you used your eyes and read his story, and your brain and realized no Killer can carry a Survivor for 15 minutes unless the Survivor LETS them, you'd realize your post is completely wrong.

..Or you can attack the OP for no reason and look very silly. I mean, he could in no way be at fault unless you ignore every fact in his post, but sure; he was being toxic because he was a Killer. Continue your 'Survivors are victims' attempt.

In order to balance ebony moris they should make it so that ebony moris also increases the pallet spawn rate by 33%, removes entity window blocking, and removes bloodlust

Only if bringing purple toolboxes increases hook spawn rate by 33%, blocks all windows, and sets a 5 second Exhaustion after Survivors stop sprinting.

I mean, if we're 'balancing' the Killer's ability to end games faster, we should also balance the item that lets Survivors end games faster, too.

It’s just that BHVR overreacts and goes overboard with nerds without thinking. cough Legion

    And Nurse.

Not saying she did not need altering, but they did not try 1 or 2 things, no. They took every idea and crammed them down her throat all at the same time, without actually seeing how each one would affect her.

Now we're left with a Killer who can't move across the map without her power...Because no one thought 'If we take away her ability to spam Blinks, maybe we should speed her up'.

    Can't chase without her power.

And her power has a cooldown no one asked for.

  • The Dev's view on balanced Killers:

'Mr BHVR? I don't feel so good.."

  • @HamdaN said:

hes a brand new survivor, like 2 hours in the game watching killers who are clearly smurfing/deranking (full builds, noed, mori,) instantly tunneling him off hook and face camping nodding over and over is pathetic.

this needs to stop. if every new player that tries dbd experiences things like this they arent going to want to ever play again. they are killing the growth of this game.

And what about a new Killer player logging in, getting looped for 4 minutes, eating 8 pallets, and having all 5 gens pop before he even downs someone once because the genrush meta sees 5 gens pop in 4 minutes?

That could kill the growth of the game, too.

  • Hard pass. Allowing more pallet loops would break the game on everyone but Nur-..Sorry. I still have phantom 'Is Good' vibes on Nurse. On everyone.

  • None.

After what they did to Nurse, I can't trust BHVR to be at all moderate in their changes.

Detective's Hunch got a tremendous buff, and it's now just as good as Small Game. 🤗

What do y'all think about Detective's Hunch?

Well, he should stand up straight. All that hunching will screw up his spine.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Entitlement is on both sides ... But what I've seen more is, the fact that survivor mains want more overall balance than killer mains do. Most of the time when I see killer mains complain about something, it's always the same thing, which is basically: "Survivors shouldn't stand even the slightest chance, and I, as a killer main, deserves a 4K every single game without question".

    Lol, then you're blind.

I see at least 1 post a day whining that camping and tunneling need harsh punishments because Killer's should be happy with a 2k.

I've seen Survivor mains who will DEMAND Killers give them a hatch because '3k is enough'.

I've seen Survivors who think they should be immune to being hit after an unhooking.

Survivor mains totally believe they should always escape, Killers should ONLY get a 2k, and THEY should never die.

One even said, and I quote 'A 4K should be next to impossible. A 3k should take massive skill.'

So don't sit here and pretend Survivors don't expect completely unbalanced changes, because they ask for them every day.

  • @Revansith said:

Well while we are on the subject of nerfs: how about granting a hit immunity to a survivor thats already been hooked and whacked twice to stop tunneling. Or alternatively if the Killer remains face camping or camping a survivor on the hook for more than say 20s the survivor can get a free unhook...

SMH... looping is one of the tactics survivors used to get chased and gain points without being whacked right off.

Lol. Immunity because you're being tunneled.

Free unhooks because you're being camped.

SURE! But only if you automatically get hooked if you do generators too fast.

What's that? 'It's unfair to be punished for securing your objective as quick as possible'?

Well, that's exactly what you're asking for with camping/tunneling punishments; you want to punish the Killer for playing his objective of KILLING YOU.

  • @CrowFoxy said:

No killers are way too OP..

Yeah, I know. I mean, Killers can actually KILL Survivors!

That's clearly an oversight BHVR has spent the last 3 years slowly fixing. Soon, the game will be what it was meant to be; a BP farm for Survivors. The Killers popping up to say 'Boo!' and then giving them candy at the exits.

I hear, next update, they may remove the Killer's attack. This bug where Killer's can hurt Survivors has been around way too long.

  • @undeadmauler said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/806843#Comment_806843

When a killer excels at everything they need to be weak at somthing, her map mobility is the weakness now.

    Yeah, no.

You don't completely remove a Killer's map mobility in the genrush meta. The only viable Killer's are those who either move fast, or can slow down gen speeds. No map mobility = no use against 3 minute gen rushes.

When the devs remove a Killer's ability to actually counter the meta, they are saying they either have no idea what they are doing because they don't understand their game and the current meta, or just want Survivors to win all the time.

And you'll note, since genrushing started, there's been 0 attempts to actually fix THAT problem, because it does not hurt Survivors. Only Killers who can stop/counter it have been nerfed.

  • @undeadmauler said:

But she is balanced now and better for the game.. same argument legions players suffered and are still reaching out for help about.

Lol. No, she is not balanced. She went from a bit too powerful to complete garbage.

Because the devs forgot that Blinking was not only for attacking, but also how she got across the map!

Now she moves slower than a WALKING Survivor AND cannot Blink for 90% of her playtime.

If they were going to nerf, yes NERF, her Blink into unusability, they should have given her a movespeed to actually be able to chase Survivors.

This nerf was either the result of a complete lack of understanding of how Nurse works, or done to cater to Survivors who did not want to learn to counter her.

  • Only if Survivors are punished for camping generators & the Hatch.

What's that? It'd be unfair to be punished for camping your objective?!

    Well imagine that! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Nah. Wesker. Give D.C. Douglas more work!

  • Honestly, if DW procs while a Survivor is Mending; they should incap. Then there would be a reason to pressure people who are Mending, even though it does not progress in a chase.

But he's a punching bag. A BP farm. This is the future of all Killers. He and Nurse are the first.

  • @Uxoricide said:

There's a bunch of feedback regarding new nurse and the only thing devs said was to try the red add on so she walks faster and not blink in one of the discussions.. I just want the base kit to remain the same and do whatever to the rest because playing vs high tiered survivors as her is really boring now

    Lol.

'Use an addon to make her not suck' - BHVR

How about BHVR learns how to actually balance Killers or actually listens to feedback from more than just Survivor mains.

I know people will claim 'BHVR listens to everyone!' but if they had listened to even ONE Killer, Nurse would not be this much of a steaming pile.

Hell, people said the cool down was too much on the PTR and they NERFED HER MORE when they brought this garbage live! Her cooldown used to start along with Fatigue, not after.

Nurse, and Legion, are proof BHVR does not listen to this community, or only listens to the Survivors. These two would not be utter trash if they heard even ONE Killer speak.

  • Lol. she has a cooldown on her power. The cooldown has it's own cooldown (Fatigue has to finish before the cooldown will start)

And in spit of all that, she STILL moves slower than a WALKING Survivor.

She lost ALL her map pressure and 50% of her chase ability. Anyone calling her 'top tier' just hopes she will get nerfed harder or has no idea what they are talking about.

  • I like it.

But it's clear BHVR don't care; They slaughtered Legion & then ignored him. Now they've slaughtered Nurse and will ignore her, and Spirit's next.

  • @Sluzzy said:

When the maximum performance level of survivors is at 10 and the nurse is at 8 and spirit is at 7, it didn't make very much sense to nerf nurse down to a 5. If spirit is even looked at I wouldn't touch red ranks with a 20 ft pole.

A 5 for Nurse is generous.

Nurse kept her walking speed as 'slower than Survivors', so with her shiny, new cooldown bar that only starts after Fatigue, she is literal trash in a chase.

Because whoever balanced her somehow forgot that she had quick blinking BECAUSE she had no effing movement.

On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is Survivor-level, Nurse is a -9999. BHVR wanted to go for -10000 but they felt it would have been too much of a nerf and held back.

And guess what? Spirit is going to be turned into a Survivor Punching Bag...I mean 'looked at' next.

  • @sekkima said:

Excuse me but is defending the spirit ?, excuse me, but almost all the spirits I see are bad mental games, the simple fact of having decent headphones make the game.

    iron will ?, stridor ...

That the killer forces you to leave a loop just to remain still is not a mental game and does not require skill.

A few hours ago I found a spirit of 100 hours in the red rank (yes, the simple fact of being a spirit makes it rise) that was mediocre in the loops, but I got caught instantly after my first hit ... you know Why ?, Because she is the best player in the world.

Just because she can down you does not mean she's OP. No offense, but I don't think you're one of the best DBD players in the world.

But then, Nurse was nerfed because Survivors were too lazy to learn how to outplay her, so the fact that they are too lazy to learn Spirit's counters is enough reason for BHVR to 'Look atl her next.

Have fun now, Spirit mains! When BHVR is done, Spirit will probably have some or all of the following:

A 10 second charge up to Phase Walk. If you cancel it, her power goes on cooldown. If Survivors shine a flashlight at you at any time, it will be canceled.

Your fake image will t-pose, to let Survivors know you're not faking & actually Phase Walked. Because Survivors don't want to mindgame.

You will be given Wraith's shimmer when Phase Walking, only 50% more visible. Because Survivors REALLY don't want to mindgame.

When you exit Phase Walk, you will promptly get Nurse's Fatigue effect, because appearing & pulling people off of generators is OP.

If a Survivor flashlight stuns you out of Phase Walk, all Survivors will get a free self-unhooking. Because BHVR feels 'high risk' play should be rewarded.

If Survivors drop a pallet anywhere on the map, the Spirit will teleport to it to get hit. Because we can't have a pallet go to waste.

Only then will BHVR feel that Spirit is 'in a better place' and they will be 'happy with their minor tweaks to her base kit'.

And she will stay this way until October 4019, when they will look at her again and make some more 'minor adjustments'. ..Or when Survivors are bored with every Killer being a bloodpoint farm.

  • How about Cthulhu?

You can see the entire map from above, or zoom in to control a shadowy monster.

The Shadow cannot attack Survivors that look at it.

If Survivors look at the Shadow, an insanity meter fills. If this meter hits 100%, they collapse screaming & can be picked up & hooked.

If Survivors are not looking at it, it can hit them. (IE: If Bill can see it, it can still hit Meg, who is looking away, and Bill is slowly gaining Insanity, but cannot be hit)

Instead of doing Generators, the Survivors are collecting books on how to banish Cthulhu and reading them. Failing a skillcheck causes a shout & Insanity gains. A great skillcheck reduces Insanity.

    Insanity effects are:

Seeing fake Shadows (they do not raise your meter). Your Meter raising or lowering for no reason (it eventually goes back to normal). Seeing fake Survivors who gesture for you to follow. Seeing Survivors run by as if chased (complete with approaching heartbeat).

    I dunno. Just a thought.

  • Dude; salty Survivors will claim you camped if you exist in the same game as a hooked survivor.

Or live next door to a Killer currenly playing DBD.

    Or you hook a Survivor.

Or you log into DBD and pick to play Killer.

  • Working with the Killer as a Survivor should be reportable. It should also carry a permaban.

  • I guess I kind of made my post too long for anyone to want to read? 😥

they could still keep the cleansing noise and the fountain red just dont have a location indicator of where they did it at purge is pretty decent w/o vomit water

She needs the location. The whole point of breaking people w/ the vomit is so she can then grab the blood vomit & down them at range.

So I still have to disagree with forcing the Plague to hunt for 50% of her power. It would be like if the Trapper had to hunt for his traps instead of seeing their auras; it makes no sense and is a needless nerf.

I think billy is fine, they need to remove purges ability to see where someone cleanses so they have to stumble upon a cleansed fountain and nerf spirit, those are the only killer aspects i think need to be nerfed and michaels tuft of hair

    I disagree.

Cleansing already heals Survivors AND is half of Plague's power. The Plague should not have to hunt the map to use her power.

And the Devs should not touch Spirit until they actually fix Nurse instead of just ripping out her guts and saying 'Job's done!'

I ave no real opinion on Tuft.

Survivors are on a disadvantage??? Sorry #########??

Buddy trust me, it’s the other way around.. if you’re playing anything other than Nurse or Spirit then you’re at a huge disadvantage because because you can be looped and have to rely on the survivor’s mistakes to down them.. Let alone if you’re playing against SWFs.. I have been in plenty of games where I play optimally and still lose..

    Scratch Nurse off your list.

Now, she walks slower than Survivors AND can't spam her blink! She lost all her map pressure and at least 50% of her chase pressure.

And the OP thinks 'Survivors are disadvantaged'. :P

Only because the Devs have not started 'Looking at' Spirit (she's next) and then Billy.

  • Why is it the Killer's that are beaten into uselessness seem to get the most interesting skins? (IE: Legion & Nurse)

I wanted to learn Nurse because she seemed fun.

Now? It's Blink, miss, fatigue, Blink is on cooldown, walk slower than a Survivor, Blink off cooldown 5 years later, blink, miss, fatigue, blink is on CD, walk slower than a Survivor...

  • What ticks me off is that her movement speed was left untouched.

Like..why would I even want to learn her, now? if I can't MLGPro the blink 100% of the time, I'll miss, suffer Fatigue to move slower, then recover and STILL be slower than a Survivor.

There's 0 room for error because she can't manually catch up. Why would any new player want to learn a Killer that HAS to be top 1% of skill, or you lose? There's 0 mid-play.

What freaking person felt they could slash her Blink use by 50% or more and not give her at least base Killer move speed?! Her move speed was slow because she could spam her Blink.

Now she can't spam, so she needs movement speed! This is not hard to understand, Devs!

But of course it's a Killer nerf; they'll 'look at' Nurse again after Legion, sometime in April 5019.

Yes but progress is regressed, and there's always PGTW, Overcharge, etc. Survivors sabo is also wasting their time but it doesn't regress your Hooks in the same way a kick regresses Generator progress. Why do you care so much? Imho you seem to either have to and/or love to tunnel but are bothered by the fact that you are being called what you are. Just ignore people and move on. No one cares how you justify it, especially if you think completing a Generator is a worthy excuse to tunnel someone lol I personally never tunnel but it is probably bc I know how unfun and painful it is as a Survivor.

Because I should not have to deal with effing abuse by some Survivor who has his own fake set of rules in his head and is salty that he lost 'unfairly'.

I should not have to be told I'm a bad player, in the game or on these damn forums, because I'm not playing 'their way'. 99% of these 'Tunneling is BS' threads are people who don't care one whit about game balance. They just want rules put in place to force people to play with their made up rulebook.

I've been blasted for tunneling, 'camping' (I don't camp because it's not a way to win, but since I did not LET 2 people unhook their friend; I camped. They literally walked up to me as if expecting me to just walk away), running Iron Grasp or Agi to counter hook sabo (got called sweatty & a tryhard), for KICKING A FREAKING GENERATOR.

Survivors need to grow some balls or stop playing a PvP game. I'm not trying to troll people. I'm not using exploits. I'm not cheating or using glitches. I'm trying to do my MFing job and FREAKING WIN.

AND I SHOULD NOT BE PUT ON BLAST FOR TRYING TO WIN!

And THAT'S my god damned problem with these threads!

I understand what you're so desperately trying to say, but it doesn't make sense. The difference is that The Killer has the power to regress your progress. That's the only reason why Survivors commit to protecting their investment by completing a Generator. Survivors do not possess the power to nullify a Hook state. A Killer can achieve a 4K without tunneling; it's not a prequiste to "winning" the Trial. Players that never tunnel get all four all the time, but you won't hear of Survivors escaping by abandoning Generators.

With that said, I think Killers should be able to tunnel without getting banned. Just own it and stop trying to justify it with silly comparisons. Tunnel away!

Regressing is a joke. It takes 3 seconds to start a regression and less than half a second to stop a regressing generator.

And Survivors can temperarily remove hooks, thereby nullifying a hook attempt.

And Killer's can't be banned for tunneling, but if a survivor so much as THINKS a Killer is tunneling, even if it was just dumb luck, they DC. Or abuse the Killer in endgame chat. Or come onto the forums and demand punishments and rules be made up to force everyone to play their way, fair or not.

I want to be able to play efficiently (which sometimes means tunneling) without Survivors pitching a 3-year-old level hissy fit in chat afterwards.

First off before you have to take your blood pressure medication I never said anything about gen rushing. This topic is about tunneling, YOU are bringing up gen rushing, YOU are assuming everyone is a survivor main.

I play 80% killer, 20% survivor. Outside of highly coordinated SWF 4 man groups "Gen Rushing" doesn't happen. Unless YOU as the killer do not apply any pressure on the map and cannot find anyone.

It really sounds to me like you are very new at the game, and have to make up excuses as to why you have to play the way you do to get kills. When in reality its probably because you dont have the right perks, or are playing inefficiently.

Of course I'm playing inefficiently; if I play efficiently, it's called 'Tunneling' and Survivors blast me in endgame chat and here on the forums.

Efficient means going after the dude who will go down in ONE HIT instead of chasing the dude who will take two hits; it saves time!

Efficient means hooking the already hooked Survivor, because he will die faster, which gives the Survivor team one less pair of hands to work on Gens, which buys me more time to kill.

Efficient = Tunneling. The exact thing Survivors ######### and whine should be punished, or illegal, or remove BP from the Killer for doing because they can't handle losing in a PvP game.

@Entity_Burger I'm not sure if it's a bug, but I was able to see lvl 4 of the tome. The challenges are completely ridiculous, like unhook 3 survivors during endgame collapse in one match, or sacrifice 3 survivors during collapse with NoED in one match, or sacrifice all 4 survivors in the basement in one match. Without collaboration between survivors and killers, these are next to impossible.

    That's the point :)

Make the challenges hard so you give up.

Make the grind hard so you give up.

    Then sell the solution.

It's also what devs like Bethesda do: Create a fake problem (weapon durability), then sell the solution (repair kits in the money store)

I changed the rework concept. Im more killer sided usually. Now its only used towards end of match but definitely better for it. Thanks for feedback lol

40% may be a bit OP. But that's semantics. Numbers can always be changed in the name of balance. (Which is why I usually either put 'Numbers are for concept purposes only' or just '<x>%'

Other than that, I tenitivly like it :)
