Bumping this one as it's still ongoing, you walk in slow-motion when you start sweeping
-
To be fair, Dorothy and Blanche could both be killers... one with their side eye and the other with their sexuality
-
Thank you for being a frieeeend @infaredd @Moundshroud @EntitledKillerMain @Salty_Pearl
(p.s. theme song of the show, it should be the killer radius or start screen song)
-
Blanche would be able to seduce the killer, Dorothy would use sarcasm to evade them, sophia would use sass and be able play dead like a possum and rose would be the human equivalent of psyduck (using confusion)
-
Second this, just made a clip of me encountering it: https://clips.twitch.tv/EasyWittyShingleHassaanChop

Thanks @Peanits and everyone else!

Can survivors get a killer indicator in lobby? That way they can adjust their perks aswell for the killer they're going up against.
@PB182 They do, it's the fifth check mark in the bottom right corner, here's a guide in case you're new: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Gameplay_Guide_%26_Hints

Use to be like that. But survivors complained about it because of lobby dodging
Really? When was that? @MigrantTheGreat
-
Yeah unless they punish killers for dodging... I never dodge lobbies, don't see the point of it
-
Yeah I'm all for it as well

Or maybe a mirror maze

Dwelf

Yeah he's got some room for improvement, last thing I heard this week from devs was that if anything would be touched it would be his add ons.

Just jumpin' in real quick in response to the OP, it's worth noting that Third Seal does not hide the location/scream when the killer hooks someone, it only blocks the aura afterwards. If they're paying attention when they hook the survivor, they'll know roughly where the hooked guy is anyway.
Could be neat if it hid the location as well, though.
For me, I'll say Deerstalker. It's a ton of info if you start to snowball.
@Peanits that would be great as it creates more room for mind gaming

went through the forum etc. and it looks like road map 4 came out in April last year so maybe we'll get it then this year @Flarefire_Xx

Play as any other killer (former nurse main)
-
As a former base kit nurse I find her unfun to play, the cool down added with unblinkable random tiles made me play clown, bubba etc. and have way more fun
-
Cool down was not the way to go, made her unfun to play (former main base kit nurse). Add on changes were totally fine but base kit wasn't needed.
Seems like people are confusing fun with getting 4 kills which is not the case, at least not for me
-
As a former base kit nurse main who knows how to play her and can still get 4k, she lost her fun factor.
I play killers people think are trash now because they're more fun and that's why I'm playing dbd
-
THEY'RE ALREADY WORKING ON PATCHING THIS!
-
It's a bug, you can even get killer achievements when game crashes and you're playing survivor.
-
I read it, I just don't agree, it really comes down to how good you are

Just because it doesn't work against 3 killers when they're stealthed doesn't make it not op. Against pig she's slowed while stealth which completely ruins her map pressure to try and counter that perk. Wraith can't hit you in stealth so he'll have to come out of it if he plans on hitting you. And ghostface has to enter his stealth at the start so you are capable of seeing him when spawning in letting you know it's ghostface which is good information to watch out for him and he has a cd on his stealth so it's not like he can be in it forever. Last thing even if they're stealthed the perk will light up when looking in the killers direction giving you information a range of how far they are and where they'd come from and if you didn't know who the killer is then it only jas the possibility of being ghost face pig wraith or tier 1 michael. The only "downside" is that the killer can see your aura as well but the people who run that perk usually are the survivors who are better at running the killer so they want the killer to know where they are so they chase them instead of their teammates.
I don't see the argument. The killer can see you and you can see them, that's the risk. You either fail or win with it
-
Why do we want to change it? As a survivor there's a chance you're against an undetectable killer who can see you for the entire game but you can't see them. It's a risky perk even if they aren't stealth killers as they see you as well. I run it in SWF at times and we still win or lose as if I didn't run it
(and when I'm killer, it's easy to counter as you see them too)

That animation is nice but it won’t be right for DBD in 2020.
Matches are MUCH faster paced now and everything has sped up. Killers hook faster, break generators and pallets faster, grab survivors faster, etc...
The game was super slow back then, that animation would never fit in the much faster more fluent DBD of 2020.
I mean, they could just make the animation faster. Would still look cool if he drags you by your feet in 1 second. I think the variety would make things more fun as killer
-
OoO is not OP, I've ran it so many games where I'm against Ghost, Pig or Wraith and basically ensure them a free win lol (as they can see me but I can't see them)

In the Oni Chapter update, the engine was updated which (as evidenced by every previous engine update) has broken the sound design of the game again. This is primarily noticeable from the killer players who rely heavily on sound for at least 50% of their ability to hunt down survivors. As it currently stands:
- Survivors footsteps can no longer be heard while in a chase no matter how close they are.
- Survivors Groans and Grunts of pain can only be heard during a chase if they are within 8 meters.
- Some survivors who are in the dying state make no pained sounds at all.
- Breathing sounds from survivors can't be heard at all unless the killer is right on top of them, and only if they had just finished running.
- Stridor no longer increases survivors pained grunts/moans volume if they are running Iron Will, making it pretty much useless when combined with the problem in no.2.
- Walls and floor levels completely obscure Generator noises (repairing, running) unless the killer is within 4 meters of them, or sometimes at weird distances where they can be heard clearly, but take 1 step and suddenly they become silent.
- Fire barrel and Hex totem crackling are either too loud when in the open, or completely silent if hiding behind a wall.
- Killers Footstep and Breathing noises are completely silent until the killer is within 6 meters, and are also nulled by chase music and walls. This makes it extremely difficult to tell when a killer is sneaking up on survivors and even worse when the killer is mind-gaming survivors at a LoS blocking loop since they can't determine which direction the killer is moving. While this makes things a bit more exciting as survivor, it also becomes insanely frustrating when trying to juke or react to a killer.
Overall, the sound design is again busted. The last time this happened however, it felt like the devs had learned their lesson and they mostly fixed it after 2 weeks when the Demogorgon update came out, but here we are now with over a month since the Oni chapter, and not even a mention of attempting to fix these issues in the mid chapter update? Dev's PLEASE!!!! Don't make this a repeat of the Pig update, wherein you took 3 whole months to fix the sound issues! That was an excruciating time to play as either Killer or Survivor (mostly killer though).
Anyone else feel the devs need to fix this asap? Did I get any of this wrong? Or are you happy with the sound design as it currently is?
Yup, can stand on top of a survivor on ground and not hear them lol

@Waffleyumboy said:
Why should stridor counter Iron Will?
That's what it does and is meant to do. Stridor on someone who has iron will makes a 50 % reduction of noise instead of 100 %
-
@PapiQuentin_ Don't worry, Kate hexed me back to the ground
-
when i play killer survivors would gain iron will without having it and i couldn't hear them, despite standing next to them when they were crouching in a bush... AND i had stridor :D

There is a severe lack of Killers playing at the moment.
Also, Survivors are being funneled into the red ranks because of the rank reset changes. There just aren't enough Killers to match with the massive amount of red rank Survivors currently.
Have BHVR made any announcements regarding this? There's no tweet or so... will be boring to have to wait this long... still haven't found a game and it's been over 20 minutes XD
-
@liquidlight said:
Ouch. Sorry. Hope you get a game soon!
Thanks! Still searching XD

@StardustSpeedway said:
When Legion came out, they had done something to MM that made it blazing fast. Unfortunately, a lot of people complained about unfair MM so they ended up reverting it back. Ever since then, the wait times are atrocious unless you play killer.
Yeah I mean I've played this game for almost year now and it's never been this bad for me XD especially not on a weekend
-
@liquidlight said:
I was like "you've never waited this long before"? lol I think there are going to be some longer waits because of the ruin change. Some killers are upset and might be currently on some sort of strike. But! I will tell you as someone who has played this game a long time as both survivor and killer that survivor wait times, at least on PS4 (for me), have never been good. There was one brief moment where I felt I was getting matches fast and that's usually when something new (and positive like a chapter) is introduced. But, I've waited minutes up to an hour for matches on DBD. Not just recently but even years ago. It just depends on how disgruntled people are and when they'll get over it.
An hour, geez... Hope that doesn't happen on pc, but yeah I get the lack of killers since I'm one who swapped to survivor haha but didn't think it would be this bad... still waiting for a game lol
-
Red rank survivor on PC and I've waited 11 minutes now :D

Is that stated in the PTB?

As a Clown player (I also play Hag) (I play both sides though), the changes are good and will make Clown one of the best killers.
Clown is not all that perk-reliant, so anything works on him.
So many synergies for Clown...
Corrupt Intervention + Ruin + Surveillance + Discordance (Survivor Tracker)
Corrupt Intervention + Ruin + Pop Goes The Weasel + Surge (Forever Clown)
@Colton147 this would've been better for him if pop goes the weasel would've worked with new ruin, but it doesn't :/
-
As killer, you sometimes hear grunts of people who have already died when close to those used hooks

As a console Nurse main, I agree with four of your suggestions:
- Allow her blink to continue recharging while she is holding one.
- Fix the bugs associated with her blink.
- Increase her move speed slightly (3.9 to 4 m/s).
- Rework a few of her add-ons so they're actually worth using.
I have a alternate to this:
- Remove her recharge mechanic, but increase her fatigue.
Since the community dislikes fatigue, I was thinking the cool-down only applies to her lethal blinks. This can give her just a little more mobility because she doesn't have to wait a few seconds to use her blinks again.
Base kit nurse PC player here, I ditto the suggestions
Regarding fatigue, devs mentioned some people suffer from motion sickness due to it and that's why they don't prolong it
Either way I hope they try to make her fun again through some of the suggestions so I can pick her up again (emphasis on fun)
-
This would be really fun
-
Her base kit nerf in form of cool down + added fatigue made her unfun so moved on from being nurse main to other killers and played more survivors.
Emphasis on making her unfun to play. Not saying I still can't get 4 kills with her but u find other killers way more fun than her now.
-
@LordRegal said:
I mean, powerful or not, I as a former Nurse main find her straight up unfun to play now. I don't enjoy having to wait twice after using my power every time. I've completely dropped the character since I just don't enjoy her anymore. I can still 4k with her without add ons, just like I used to, but it's extremely frustrating and just not rewarding anymore. I know I'm not the only one who feels that way either as there'e been multiple people saying more or less the same thing I have around here. So, if even a small percent of the "good nurse" population have stopped playing her, we'd see the numbers fall...like we have.
Ditto, I was a basekit nurse and dropped her as well despite being able to 4k. The cooldown wasn't the way to go as it made her boring.
-
Some of the 20k drop are probably those who tried the game for free as there are free weekends etc running but speaking as a former killer main I switched to survivor mostly as most killers have gotten boring to play with the way they're updating them, cooldowns especially...
-
If you have ideas for how to rework her this thread welcomes suggestions: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/915581#Comment_915581
-
I think something like @Mr_K 's rework idea would make her more fun to play again:
"What about if the cool down applied to blink attacks and the time were based on how many blinks you used during the chain?
This would apply to hits as well as missed swings in order to incentivize precise blinking and not blind swinging. As well it allows the Nurse to travel the map and continue chases. When the cool down is active the Nurse would be unable to blink again until it expires.
This would remove the counter on her power and the cool down would apply to her whole power instead. One blink plus a swing would be 3 seconds, two blinks 6 seconds and three blinks 9 seconds."
-
Most discussions, including the biggest thread regarding this don't say that she is weak but that the cooldown makes her unfun to play.
That's part of the reason I switched to other killers, I could still get 4 kills with her but she's just not fun to play anymore due to the way cooldown mechanics
(biggest thread so far: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/908457#Comment_908457)

Killers are getting more boring to play with the updates so people switch to survivor or take a break from dbd :/ there's lots of posts about it
