Nurse's add-ons
Hi everybody! How are you? Have a good morning/afternoon/evening.
I will talk about my opinion about certain add-ons. You can agree or disagree with them.
Don't you think that some of the following add ons needs a change? (I didn't test everyone) The info is taken from the english wiki
First. Let's talk about Spasmodic Breath (Rare add-on)
- Hitting a Survivor with a successful post-Blink Attack temporarily disables Spencer's Last Breath
- Increases The Nurse's base Movement speed to 4.6 m/s.
- This effect lasts for 60 seconds.
We have the fastest killer speed but at the risk of being an M1 killer with no power at all, literally. Being a 115% speed killer Is that good to disable our blink skill?
It's not worth of the risk because we have more winning in a full blink than having a faster speed.
We may be as fast as doctor but we can't use what make nurses one of the best killers in-game, wich is her blinks.
Second.Anxious Gasp (Rare add-on as well)
- Blinking past a Survivor causes them to scream and awards 200 Bloodpoints in the Deviousness Category.
The scream idea it's quite cool but I think it will be better in the base kit. What do you think?
Third. Torn Bookmark (Ultra rare add-on)
- Adds 1 Chain Blink Charge.
- The Nurse can no longer Blink through solid objects.
The nurse use the blink through objects to travel because she is the slowest killer in-game. My idea would be
- Add 2 chain blink charge
- Moderately reduces the Maximun Blink Range
- Slighty increases the Blink Recharge Time
Besides. If you have maps like "The Game" or "Lery's" where you're surrounded by walls then you will have a bad time. Without talking about the achievement.
Fourth. Matchbox (Ultra rare add-on)
- Increases The Nurse's base Movement speed to 4.2 m/s.
- Removes 1 Chain Blink Charge.
I think the Nurse's base speed being a bit faster than survivors (Myers tier I) is not worth of removing one chain blink. We lost a lot of potential with just one blink
So... What do you think about it? There are some of the add-ons that I didn't test it yet.
Comments
Yes, many of her add-ons are more of a hindrance than a help.
Which is funny because I can deal with the base kit nerf, but then they give us add-ons like, "Hey! Would you like to nerf yourself even more?" The ones that turn Nurse into an M1 killer are especially hilarious.
There were many complaints about the Nurse change, but it seems all of it was ignored.
Personally, it feels like they really had no idea what to do with her, and instead of taking some really good ideas from the community, they just threw something together at the last minute. Then slapped a cooldown on her cooldown to appease the most vocal portion of the survivor playerbase.
A lot of these addons are pointless, because they remove aspects of her kit, with a bp bonus added for. . . reasons? They could have at least bumped up her movement speed to compensate for this.
I do like Anxious Gasp added to her base kit. That sounds fun.
Many people complained about this, but instead of fix any of the add ons they actually nerfed a few of them even more. (The recharge ones)
Debuff addons on survivors next to a blink target location would've been better received...
She got 2 "Speed limiter" addons, which is ridiculous.
The Anxious Gasp" needs a bigger area of effect, I heard you need to pass through them. For a rare, the effect is quite weak.
The Torn Bookmark" should reduce fatigue or replace it with HB/Legion's slowdown effect. No harm in that as she cant just teleport through walls to the surv. Maybe add shorter cooldowns.
EDIT:
The 115% addon is funny, you become a nurse thats PUNISHED with becoming a 115% killer after using that ability instead of a normal killer with 1 blink. The Matchbox UR is actually what this addon should be, although 4.4m/s wouldve been better.
Yes. Having a range should work pretty fine
Torn bookmark is straight up trash. If you can’t blink through objects then it’s near impossible to catch survivors that are running around any structure such as the large wooden buildings or boat in backwater swamp or any house in haddonfield for example.
I agree!
