When SWF trolls run out of killers to bully, they start doing it to their soloQ teammates. SWF is and has always been the root of all evil in dbd.
This is not a soap opera.

This is how a Nurse/Blight main is born Gann as this mentality is how killer variety dies.
Because if they are going to be harassed for losing as a weak killer then they might as well go all out on the strong ones.
If they'd be treated horribly either way might as well play the meta.
Lol
Blight -> Nurse -> Huntress -> Spirit
Blight > Nurse > Huntress > Spirit
Blight > Nurse > Huntress > Spirit
The high MMR experiences

Wonder if it'll ever get changed.

You say you want to show me "some logic" then justify your entire position on the false statement that Dead Hard is an extra life state.
- An extra life state allows you to take a hit. Dead Hard only works if you aren't hit.
- An extra life state gives you a 3 seconds speed boost (It might be 2 seconds). Dead Hard only gives you a 1 second speed boost.
- An extra life state allows you to move in different directions when you are hit. Dead Hards movement is only straight.
When you exaggerate or falsify your statements, people automatically dismiss you. It's a bad debating tactic.
Im not exaggerating though.
It is an extra life state, that allows survivors to make a terrible mistake, and then immediately reverse it and make it to whatever window/pallet potentially buying far too much time.
Unlike other exhaustion perks you must "bait" Dead Hard. But you can't really "bait" DH. You can only hope the survivor is bad and positions themselves poorly.

A lot of people agree with you and don´t like RPD. Just not "everyone". Everybody has an opinion but sometimes try to see the other arguments as well.
Most complaints are about it being too complicated which i can´t understand completely but that is on me.
Holding W is not a problem on RPD or Midwich as this works everywhere to a certain degree. On open maps Trickster can be quite strong in a chase when you can´t hide.
And also as surv you can do this on more maps.
But i am not sure if you ever played against a very good Trickster on RPD then as we got sometimes completely destroyed there. With other killers as well.
You mentioned you play SWF - that of course can change everything.
I play mostly solo and so my experience is probably vastly different.
For me it is what teammates do i get and how good is the killer.
Sometimes we escape easy and sometimes we lose easy. The map doesn´t make a huge difference.
Well, I like the solo survivor perspective. I just tend to not play that way because as we all know it can lead to many... shenanigans.
I say the W is so strong on RPD because you can move from from one area to the next seamlessly, like running in circles and going to the library, where you can proceed to run around railing and waste lots of time, easily. (Trickster can just down them here, unless they vault so less a problem, but pure M1 killer is screwed)
-
Isn't that a problem with the map?
-
@Marc_123 said:
Why do you think that? You don´t know.
It is competitve for some and not for others. I simply can like maps as it is a game.
And not all people get frustrated easy and not all people have the same problems. You are assuming.
You might think completely different of the game than me and that is totally fine.
But don´t think it is "everybody" that feels like you do.
Does my opinion even matter at all then? I just played Trickster on rpd and a Jill literally only had to press W to avoid me, I don't think that's on me, it takes forever to catch up. Eventually, yes, I did break off because I had to. But the map allows you to WIN BY PRESSING W. Ive done it as survivor TOO.
I've watched several YouTubers on rpd and Midwich win, BY PRESSING W.

@Zeidoktor said:
"Can BHVR disable all terrible maps?"
But then where won't be any maps!
Serious answer: The devs only disable maps that either aren't working as intended, like when a bunch of maps are killswitched because of issues with totems, or are being actively worked on (Haddonfield as of this message)
A map won't be disabled solely for being subjectively good or bad.
I understand that a better title for this post would've uh...worked out in a different way.
Id simply just finished a map where I actually just ran forward on Midwich for like a whole minute before I even got hit. Partially killers fault? Probably. Still, endless hallways aren't fun. I'd rather be playing a jungle gym or loop. But instead I can just buy time by running forward and turning sometimes.

@Marc_123 said:
Different people hate almost everything in the game.
I like the maps and i have no problem playing on them - and that is enough for me. I don´t care if they are "good" or not which is also highly subjective. And the layout is not that complicated (for me at least).
I don´t find them worse than all the outdoor maps. I win there and i lose there.
It doesn't seem like you actually care about balance, and you have no real points as to why you enjoy the maps. (Other than it's not complivated?) I don't like assuming things about people's thoughts, but this is a multiplayer competitive game and balance should come first and foremost, so people aren't frustrated.

Not saying Dead Hard has a balance issue.
However, I will say your statement isn't true. There are reasons why 1 exhaustion perk is being used more than other exhaustion perks. Let me give you a couple of examples why.
- Advertisement - If everyone is saying one exhaustion perk is better than another all the time, then that will cause 1 exhaustion perk to be used more than another. Take for example Coke and Pepsi. When blind taste tests are done with the 2 sodas, Pepsi always wins. However, when you show everyone the labels, Coke always wins. Same thing with Dead Hard, everyone says its better, so most people are going to choose the perk everyone says is better.
- Self-Care - The most used survivor perk in the game. If your statement was true, it would also mean Self-Care has a balance issue.
I'm just saying that this statement is a very bad reason to justify nerfs.
Whoa whoa whoa buddy, let's show you some logic.
Dead hard isn't stronger because it's highly used, yes. Otherwise you're correct, SC would be a problem even though it's trash and you're better off bringing CoH-
Dead hard is so strong because it grants you an extra life at the press of a button, and is not very hard to use. It takes like 2 matches to get used to dead hard. At any loop, Dead Hard can typically can let you make an additional loop you wouldn't have before, allow a stun you'd have missed, and it is uncounterable if the survivor is good.
That's because with good positioning, dead hard is unstoppable. You WILL make it a pallet, jungle gym, something. Heck, I've watched my friends use it to boost to killer shack and loop for a while. It's painful, it essentially says "wow killer, you did a good job! Haha just kidding, get screwed."
And yeah, there are killer perks like this too, and I'm ALL FOR THEIR NERFS. But DH also has to go, it's just too potent. A third health state isn't fair.
-
@dugman said:
I don’t even care about balance per se, it’s just really silly looking that a survivor can, midchase, just tap their hand instantly on a generator and it stops regressing. At a minimum it really should require a two second action to stabilize it and start improving its progress if you continue holding after that.
I agree with this. It should act like old Hex:Ruin or missed skill check. For a few seconds, progress pauses while you "fix" the gen being kicked. If you let go, you must do this again, but you won't make the gen blow up.
-
@Marc_123 said:
No thanks.
What you think is terrible maybe is not for other people - ever thought about that?
I like RPD and i like Midwich and i miss Hawkins.
Tell me what it is you enjoy about the maps, I'm open to that.
I just don't enjoy running down hallways for 45 seconds and actively avoiding the killer whilst doing so. It's boring.
There are also plenty of god pallets, just like Game...but I love the Game. It may be pallet city but it's a mixture of original DBD map design and indoor map design, it kinda works.
Plus, I do understand and understood while posting this, that people will like these maps, but it doesn't make them good. The complaints against them seem to be much higher than the positivity towards them.

@Chaos999 said:
Thanks for all the feedback. I think I might just go with clown then :)
Yeah good idea, clown has better perks and he has some fun cool add ons.
Slingers add ons are the most boring in the game imo...and most overall useless. I know that's a minor nitpick for choosing a killer but you really can't give variety to his gameplay. You WILL be the shooter-man. His power is better, thankfully.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
Overcharge doesn't work as intended... IMO
Gen Tapping only stops Regression... But the Regression is so low that it doesn't even matter
I'm beginning to think that the fact that there are 7 Gens on a map that they all need to be done
But the Devs will only see the Pick rates and Kill rates... and that's what "balance" is centered around
I mean if I'm using call of brine then regression is really powerful.
2 seconds per charge lost ain't bad. But a single tap to stop sucks. And overcharge is garbage.
-
I'm sorry for all the survivor only players who are being rude...I'm sorry the game frustrated you so much too. Maybe a break will be healthy for you, and hopefully they will nerf dead hard and boon:coh, along with some killer perks. The game has come a long way but survivors still hold the cards typically when it comes to angering the other side.
-
@indieeden7 said:
I know you didn't just suggest that the smallest map in the game is easy for survivors to win on.
Tends to be easy for me, if that differs for you I'm sorry. You really can just run forward vs a lot of killers.

It fundamentally misunderstands the character of Amanda and John, their dynamic, and basically everything.
Tapp's story is amazing and solves a major plot hole. Amanda's is... not so
Im less worried about that, and more worried the fact that the writing itself seems like it's from 6th graders. I get it, they're from Quebec or whatever, but they have more than enough cash to hire better writers and time voice actors.

But isn't that only during chases then goes back to default after downing and picking up the survivor since the chase was over?
FoV changes something that I just can't register and not see any real difference even with M&A or shadow born.
If your in monitor, you will notice the fob change when starting a chase. It's extremely obvious.
However...it shouldn't allow you to be blinded by someone you can't even see.
-
Considering I can fully drain one guy, then find another for a bit of juice, then find a guy I haven't seen before and kill them instantly, leaving them with like 2k points in game....there has to be some restriction and changes.

Also if you use fov increase perks, shadowborn or monitor and abuse, your blinding window actually increases
I think it's stupid that you can be blinded outside of your vision in the first place.

Dang, seems you never made a point in the first place. The only thing you did was make a rude response that establishes nothing. It's most likely just gonna be taken as toxic survivor speak to avoid an issue.
Maybe if you'd said something along the lines of "both sides have this issue" or something, you'd have made a point. Having it rough lately? You seem on edge.

I've had about 15 matches on both surv and killer recently as it try to return to DBD, I started in 2018. The game is very frustrating for me personally.
On survivor I had a better time but on Killer I was actually sweating in a quarter of my matches. Im used to DBD making me feel like I need to move, move, move as killer but this is on another level. Most survivors I encountered really were gen jockeys, and half of em weren't bad at chase either. So the killers I decided to play (Trapper, Legion, Michael) did not give me a good time. Id play nurse, but im afraid of getting stomped though since it's been forever lol, it'd be an adjustment.
I've looked around and it seems many posters have talked about gen speeds (as if they haven't always xp) but i never really took those concerns seriously until now. Low mobility killers seem rough.

@Barbarossa2020 said:
All of the above.
But people just get tired of playing certain games.
I may have 50+ games in my library i probably only play 3 at a time.
And with the learning curve of dbd, ie perks etc to be "competitive" it's pretty unnewbie friendly. Who wants to play your first games as a killer into players with 500+ hours. It's pretty demoralising.
...and it's not how the game was back when I started around 2017 or 18 I believe. I swear as a new killer and surv I was consistently matched with newbs too.
-
Crap game for sure, always known that. My biggest issue right now has been adjusting to the new graphics. Everything is so dark. I feel like I lived dbds glory days or something like that..

Oh yeah, it is rare to find someone who is still passionate about their love for DBD. I often feel so alone, but lucky for me, I love reading complaints. So it all works out well.
I can't blame anyone. It seems like survivors are very strong again, from reports, YouTube gameplay, forums, new perks...M1 killer must really suck with that boon perk.
Personally, I quit the game due to rift. Just thought maybe I could stomach it again. To me the rift marks when the game become 100 percent corporate garbage that's lost it's charm and passion.
-
DH and Boil Over
You're not even joking are you? Multiple surcvs on rpd were using it and it was a huge pain in the butt.
-
Does forums hate the game now? I mean, I knew people sometimes had gripes...lots of them but this is on another level.
-
CrowFoxy
I switched to PC, and have 1800 hours there. Let's add it up...
-
Excuse me? As a veteran player, did you SEE Legion? Christ, that was an awful patch. Map got disabled on some platforms I believe. The killer was god awful to face after a week....please. don't throw away history.
-
Not a whole lot because this game doesn't get massive changes very often truth be told.
Perk rework. Seriously, I can't play anymore because anytime I get to high ranks, I know what I need to be using and what the survs are using.
Killer power variety is not enough anymore.

I may not want to see some of this.
But I will say that the almost complete lack of perk diversity in dbd is something I really hate. If more perks were broken/good, the game would be better for it. But no, doesn't matter I guess. Nerf Freddy.

Killers have to play "unfair" in 2021 to win, unless they have very strong powers.

Naa. I'm good with not nerfing killer. Of course I am one-sided. I do play PRIMARILY one side.
My point is not about complaining as a survivor. Or to nerf killers. Just the opposite. My point is that killers come on these forums and online and complain constantly about survivors and their perks, And I simply think the main reason is because they don't get four kills every game. Most games killers average 2 to 4 kills already, seems insane to keep complaining and destroying the game
Well, if you primarily play one side and rarely the other, then it's a lot harder for us to trust you with balance opinions. You don't know the plight of killer as much as a killer one trick doesn't know the plight of survivor.

i mean, we have more to do now but i still agree. They could have done it so much better. I wish they would do events again but nope..
They're upping and upping the grind, just in a different area of the game. Leveling up is easier, but the rift is an entire soul drain. You've gotta give sooo much time.
If I had a favorite, its the first one btw. It felt shorter than everything after.
-
I believe that the rift killed the game for a lot of older players of the game. And was a stepping stone to the bad patches we've been getting lately...

Mailing nurse for years here, she used to be better! But, alas, we have to put aside the nerfs for those of us who love her kit.
It will take a while, there's some adjustment ngl. I'm sure in time you will get much better, and look back and go, "hmm, I have improved haven't I?" Keep it up, she's a lot of fun.
