Blight is very weak, but that's less my problem with him. He's unoriginal and boring.
-
I also just wanted to add, the power is just underwhelming. Even if we do see players get good at him
A. Why put the effort of such a high skill cap for low reward?
B. This is such a lackluster and boring design after Slinger and PH.

Damn if what you say is true and not a bug, I dunno I am speechless. First Kates noob jiggle physics, now DS 😂
Jane still has jiggle physics so I don't know why Kate does not.

Seriously guys?
He's perfect everywhere else.

Multiple reports of the perks being broken have risen already.

Midwich is an atrocity.
Bring object. Hold W. No, seriously...
-
A lunge nerf by 50% could possibly kill her. Hitting someone would require your blinks to be basically perfect.
Nurse's post blink lunge is already shorter than a standard M1. Her normal M1 is the same as all killers as expected. If you really want this, just use the add on to reduce lunge yourself to see how bad it makes her.

Arguably, the most interesting thing to do to keep things spicy in this game is making wacky builds, problem is that actually unlocking perks is a really long and tedious process thanks to being too RNG dependent
its also a point that multiple perks are used right now as band-aids for core problems, so if the game isn’t getting really that fixed anytime soon, at least let me have those bandaids sooner than later
Also, we have +20 characters in each side, that’s a lot
now, we can get a full rework of the bloodweb and Shrine of Secrets which would be ideal but I don’t know how they can get around that
Also they can make simple changes:
- Removing Perk Tiers, suggested a lot before, currently a lot of perks aren’t really worth to run on Tier 1 or Tier 2 anyway and the sole exception you could argue is Discordance
- Make everything cheaper: what if everything was 1000bp cheaper? What if everything was 2000bp cheaper? Right now a lot of BP offerings are really worthless unless you get 8000 points in each category (example, common BP offering gives you 50% but costs 3000bp, you spend 3000 for the potential of 4000)
- Max Score 40,000 instead of 32,000 (10,000 by category), you don’t need to adjust score events except for sacrifice events, if hooking is the killer’s objective, give them some love, rewarding even more multiple hooks
- Bloodweb should let players buy more perks early, also perks shouldn’t always be consumed by the entity when you buy another perk
- Make bloodhunt events more often, it reallly won’t hurt you BHVR, gives us that 2x multiplier
- If you don’t remove perk tiers, fine, purchasing a teachable perk should unlock that perk on tier one for every character
- Small QoL, everyone should have their own teachables already at Tier 3 from the beginning, Level 1 Characters
- Non Teachable Perks should be also unlocked from the beginning, if you don’t remove perk tiers, fine, Tier One Perks but unlocked nonetheless
These are just some ideas, not necessarily definitive ones
what do you guys suggest? So far
- Looking at how DBD mobile handles leveling up (I didn’t know you get to choose a perk every time to level up)
- Removal of Several Offering that just take space on the bloodweb
- BP Offering Update, removing the category limit
- Increasing overall BP Gain and Cap for x2
- Recycling/selling out addons and offerings
- Lowering the levels to purchase teachable perks
- New Scoring Category, “Participation”, giving points for each minute in the game, also pushing the idea of 40,000 Point Cap per Match
- Removing the 8000 point category limit and just having a cap for max score
- Rewarding survivors survival points every time a gen gets repaired
- Bonus Points each Rank Reset, both for Killer and Survivor, Bonus correlating to current Rank (this got leaked tho)
- I would like to suggest that at the very least, he should have infinite common items and addons so they don’t take space on the bloodweb
- also this: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/179199/an-idea-for-you-devs-how-to-motivate-newer-player-to-stick-and-maybe-even-spend-money
- and this: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/185033/bloodweb-and-perk-leveling
- Also, D/Cs should give bigger bonuses to everyone involved, and D/Cs should also give BBQ and WGLF stacks
- Give killers a points multiplier for versing SWF, give survivors a multiplier for versing a Memento Mori
- Prestige doesn’t remove everything you earned (I will personally add, prestige should lock your perk slots for a little longer, so it’s a exciting challenge mode to earn your customization, like just 3 perks slots available all the way between P2 and your way to Lv.50 on P3 as an example)
- Give a BP % Bonus based on the Player Devotion
- Quite a drastic change, but just removing a lot of common and uncommon addons that are just simply increases and decreases in X, with a compensation in base kits
- Buying a characters just unlocks their perks in everyone else, and also you haven’t bought a characters, there is still a minimal chance that it spawns in your bloodweb, avoiding the fear of P2W, letting them make strong perks again
- BBQ and WGLF basekit, promote multiple hooks and safe unhooks
- Receiving props from another player gives you a BP Multiplier for your next match
- Prestiging should give that particular character a permanent discount in their bloodweb (suggested 666bp per prestige, so it’s 2000 discount for P3 characters)
- Just increasing scoring categories’ cap to 12000 so people can get a maximum of 48,000 per match
- Also also this: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/174323/bp-offering-rework-idea
- Make shards more valuable (just lower prices, 9000 for a character is way to much, 5000 was suggested) or make them way more easy to get.
- One universal bloodweb for all survivors and one for all killers
- At the very least having non teachable perks be shared by all characters once you unlocked them
Dbd mobile progression system is actually just as grindy if not worse.
-
@RoMainPuppy said:
They either need to do like other games with passes where you make progress on them even if you don't have that "Challenge" selected (take Fortnite, you can make progress on multiple challenges per game, here nope), or to let us select multiple Challenges at a time. This ######### is even grindier than Fortnite, and that's ######### saying something (not to mention Fortnite usually has a couple of sales at points allowing you to buy multiple tiers at a fraction of their cost, but DBD ain't that smart or generous).
Increase the rate we gain XP from matches, increase the amount of rift fragments per challenge, stop making it so the only challenges worth 5 fragments are the story ones. (Which are generally ass anyway, either too easy or way too ######### hard)
Hell give us some fragments every time we get to the end of a chain with the Archives eye on it. Make the dailies give us rift fragments as well as BP. Give us an offering to increase rift fragments. Anything.
They can't increase xp rate very easily because it would mess up shard progression, and since shards can deny having to buy non licensed DLC characters about ...2? times per 100 levels, I don't blame them.

As someone who plays primarily 50/50 and does make mistakes on both sides, my experience has always been that survivor can be even more frustrating, or way easier than killer. All depends on my teammates.

Hillybilly is a skillshot and can't change his trajectory much.
Oni would need to be inside his power which requires M1s.
Nurse can be juked.
Spirit landing a hit on a healthy sprint bursting survivor in phase is unlikely.
Huntress and deathslinger are not instant downs and they are 110 killers.
Wraith and pig cannot catch up with a sprint bursting survivor unless you are very lucky.
Only Bubba can sprint burst after them, and then some, with an easy to land AOE instant down right off the bat.
You shouldn't be saving a Sprint Burst until he's close.
You shouldn't be using Sprint Burst that way versus any killer because it's a huge noob trap. Get distance, play smart.

This video is WAY more accurate to how normal console (not the pro versions) FPS perform.
Mind you that this video is 10 months old and the FPS got even worse at times
So, even if Console doesn't have a 30fps cap, it literally almost never gets to 60.

Yes, on console. We usually hover around 50-60, the problem is it isn’t stable and certain actions cause significant sudden drops.
This video must be fake. As console seems to have a 30 cap.
-
I don't think so. Seems fine to me.
Also it isn't trash situational, it's probably the best perk in the game.
-
DS is the strongest perk in the game.
Killers have very few second chance perks. Things like NOED and...Blood Warden? I guess.

Super bait...

Here's the match in question.
You took control at 4:28:06 and got mori'd at 4:30:06, pretty much 120 seconds instead of 60 seconds into the match, twice as long as you had claimed.
You also were not even farmed off the hook, borrowed time didn't even activate and the killer just got done hooking someone else and you stepped in a trap. I chalk this one up to "survivor error" although I still think the killer was a bit of an ass to mori you that early.
Everyone should watch this lol.
Killer did nothing super wrong tbh. You messed up.

You can play with a controller.
Playing with the touchpad will be actually unbearable and not fun, and I'm sure your hand will begin to hurt very fast.

People who turned crossplay off, can still be matched with other players on their platform who have it ON I believe. It just won't place you with any other players who are not on your platform?

I don't think this would help.

He's kind of a Nurse situation. Does not feel as good to play anymore.

Keyboard and Mouse
It's usually abbreviated to Kb/M for reference. But that's fine.
-
@twistedmonkey said:
To say one platform has more of x or y type players has always seemed strange. We just have to look at posts from all platform players to see most complaints echo the same things.
The only things which hold any merit imo are concerns about the frame rate but to an extent this doesn't take into account that not all pc players have high end pc's to get high frame rates. Then there are the killers where using a mouse is advantageous like Huntress, Nurse. The latter though is just a mechanical advantage but it doesn't change how well one can play verses them.
Well, issue is that if your PC has similar hardware to a PS4/XBone, you will get 60 fps probably and a m/KB to boot.
-
@DexyIV said:
Yes, which is typically why PC players are the most vocal when it comes to nerfing the top 3 killers. Because there isn't much but that at rank 1 on PC sadly lol
And for good reason. Top tier survivors are basically unbeatable without using very strong killers and perks.

I know. My main concern atm is versing pc players on certain maps (i.e. lerys) which has been kinda unplayable for a lot of us since the mid-chapter. You could probably 360 me on there while urban evading rn.
You guys have it rough optimization wise.
-
@Aneurysm said:
I mean from watching streamers the playstyles have never seemed that different, apart from console survivors relying more on 360s
Console survivors tend to try and 360 more because it drops other console killers framerate by a lot, and it's easier with controller actually.

Yeah, we swfed all night and escaped like 95% of the time.
I haven't met the dreaded pc nurse yet tho.
Although I am now of the opinion that the console Billy's are better. So many pc Billy's m1 and camp.
Admittedly small sample size, as it was only 1 night of games.
You don't know whether or not you faced a PC Billy.
It could be a Switch, PS4, or Xbox One Billy. The globe just means different platform.
Only PC players can easily tell if they're facing console players.
-
Ok, bye.
-
Iirc, devs themselves have said NOED doesn't just reward killers for failing.
@TotemsCleanser said:
I absolutely despise NOED, it's by far one of the killer perks I hate the most, I feel it rewards killers for failing at their task.
That's why I do totems. I encourage you to do the same. The feeling when the match ends and you see that you removed that perk from the killer's hands by destroying all the totems in the map is one the most satisfying feelings in this game in my opinion.
The devs themselves have literally invalidated your statement. And even if your statement is correct, DS also rewards survivors for failing.
-
So, wait. Did Switch not even have Badham before this? Can Switch players get Badham randomly or must use offering?
-
PC players all get to have a unique username, regardless of whether or not someone else has that username. So as @BigBrainMegMain said, you can use that other than the globe.
For example, my steam name is "Raven" and on console, that name was probably taken forever ago.
-
I would take into consideration queue times. A majority of console players probably don't know how/don't even want to turn off cross play and that is going to be painful for your queues.
-
The cast is already very diverse.
-
That's far too complicated and unnecessary.

And every three months, BHVR just adds to the pile of DLCs. Though it seems that lately, even the new perks aren't that great.
Not just new perks, latest killer powers themselves have not been the best received (disclosing the awesome Bubba rework, must give props), and a lot of the new add ons are just blatantly terrible. (5% more speed when flashlight is on you? Really?) And yes I know they changed that one, but the fact it even made it into the game is a huge joke.
-
@Coully21 said:
Will there be an in-game voice chat for SWF when cross play becomes available? as it may be difficult for friends to communicate over platforms.
Honestly I would assume not. I would expect the chat box to still be available however, but console players will have to type with controllers right?
But I'm not a dev. So it could happen but as of now the consoles don't natively do this.

Where's the last one? I already did FOUR.
As for DS, I have two things to say about that:
1) that is NOT what this thread is about.
2) it's all in application and perspective. I can outright die from one NoED attack, where as I am not denied a kill outright if I'm hit by DS.
Your team let you down. Learn from it.
-
Once again, a reminder that I literally got warned for "bait."
-
Do third party games ever get avatars? I own a PS4 but only ever really used it for the FF VII Remake and like exclusives.
Not too familiar with modern consoles.

So, someone like me who uses DS as protection to heal up should be punished because some survivors like to take advantage of some killers greed? I admit that it sucks to see people do it, and if someone tries to take advantage of me like that, they die next.
Also, since when is FAIR a factor, when tunnelling is fine? So many killers don't give a flying care about what's "fair" to a survivor, but do a complete 180 when something happens to them.
Does what happened to you suck? Yes. But I don't see how that compares to NoED and it's problems being core to gameplay, rather than a community based issue.
DS is an arguably much stronger and more unfair perk than NOED. Both are complained about considerably.
Do more bones.

They probably couldn't do that, and I rather them not do it. If they did that, they would lose a huge chunk of the playerbase, and the game would get dull fast. If they fix bugs, more bugs will appear.
If the game dies because of 1 missed content drop that was instead replaced by bug fixing, perk reworks/killer reworks, the game is already a failure.
TF2 hasn't had a major content drop in over 1000 days and it's doing particularly well.
-
I wish. But no, it is still there. All current maps in the game are active.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who caught that.
Also I'm 100% sure a gen can't pop in 25 seconds, even if all 4 people were on it. And then you said another gen popped when you got a quick down on the first guy meaning all the survivors definitely weren't together. Something ain't adding up in that story XD
You can but it requires the survivors to coordinate a BNP play. It's a huge waste of BNPs and Toolboxes but you can.
Each BNP shaves off 20 seconds off a gen so if you go to the 4 man gen or a 3 man gen and slam them on you can basically insta pop.
But once again, it's a waste.
-
He just need a general buff. Not a rework. He is going to receive an add on rework however I believe, so I completely expect him to also receive base kit buffs. (I literally can't see them nerfing Myers, he's well loved.)
His power is super deadly and when he's in Tier 3 every survivor fills their diaper unless they're super confident or in a safe space. At least, I know I do.
-
We are humans. Therefore, we make mistakes because we are not perfect. Even a very good killer can be stomped given the right circumstances.
