If he got the Freddy treatment, we’d all be complaining 6 months later about how cookie cutter he is and how unique they use to be. Probably take away his run and instead play around with the mimic feature ( like trailer ), except they would botch it up, give a power survivors (even solo) could quickly determine whose the real killer and the only viable way to use them is as a M1 Killer xD
If they got the Freddy treatment, I'd quit lol.
Legion doesn't need a rework like Freddy got (neither did Freddy, but that's besides the point). They only need buffs to their current power and maybe something extra on the side like Clown got.
-
Yeah this is the only change I really don't like. They've taken too much from him without any compensation. I hope they rethink this a little.
-
I don't like sitting in the queue for 5-10 minutes when my pre-MMR queue times for killer were pretty much instant.

Except for the janked animations sure
I love having to wait over a year and a half for BHVR to fix Billy's animations and still getting nothing when Blight gets his fixed in 6 months.

Yeah, Freddy is in a really sad state at the moment. I don't know why the developers thought it would be a good idea to have a lethal power (Nemesis' Tentacle) and Freddy's snares have the same movement speed penalty while they're held. They both go at 4.0m/s.
Most of Freddy's addons basically do nothing. Even the most interesting rope, Jump Rope, has been made almost completely useless with the recent Stridor change. He has 4 useless status effect addons (like come on, who wants a TIMED haemorrhage addon for a purple?? at least Pyramid Head's purple haemorrhage addon doesn't have a time limit). I don't know why he has a debuff addon either, those addons are such a waste of a slot.
I don't know why they reduced the snare count as well, pre-placing snares actually made Freddy more strategic, but I guess they didn't want that gameplay? And pallets getting a nerf? what? why?
Honestly, all I want is a way to play the pre-rework version again. He was much more fun and interesting, and didn't rely as much on perks to get the full value out of his power (when's the last time you saw a Freddy without Pop?). He also had a much better set of addons, with pretty much all of them being effective. Sure, he wasn't perfect, but he didn't need a full rework. I hope that one day, BHVR revisit the original concept and do Freddy justice once again.
Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to be seeing much from the devs about Freddy for a while. It makes me sad, but I'm still hopeful for the (somewhat) distant future.
-
I think they're the equivalent of the common rarity, they have the same price and everything.
-
I can't reach him, he's too smol :(

Legion exists and you're saying this unironically?
Yeah, us Legion mains have to run a purple addon and hit people 5 times just to down them, y'all Nemesis mains have it good.
-
I personally think chains should still be able to spawn while you're solving the box. You see the box's aura for the entire time it's spawned. If you neglect the box long enough for a chain hunt to start, making the box harder to solve should be part of the punishment, as it gives it more of a sense of urgency. Besides, it doesn't make it impossible to solve, just a quite bit more time consuming.
-
Yeah, it's really not fun. Both survivor and killer is boring, a lot of tunneling and meta builds, etc. This game isn't built for 4 good survivors in one game, 4 Dead Hards, Iron Wills, and DS on something like Gas Heaven is basically unwinnable. On the flip side, Ruindying Tinkerer on Blight on Coal Tower against solos is unwinnable. SBMM was a bad idea from the start, since a game actually has to be balanced well first.
I predict a lot of people (myself included) will get quickly burnt out of playing matches like this. The game has become incredibly frustrating and queue times have gone up.
I hope they go back on this change, but we all know BHVR are piss poor at listening to feedback most of the time. I guess I might have to find another game for the time being.
-
Yeah, I've noticed queue times have gone up for me as killer as well. They were noticably shorter yesterday.
-
BHVR making it so that using pallets against a Nurse or Spirit is even harder now, very great change.
No fun allowed.

I really, really hope that's temporary, yeah. Was about to make a thread myself. Is there any chance we could get official word on if it's intended to be permanent or not?
Yeah, I'd really like official word on it too.
-
It's been over a year since they've broken his animations, and they're still not fixed. I'm not hopeful.
-
Blight has more overpowered addons to worry about honestly, Alchemist's Ring and Compound 33 are NUTS compared to Crow.

He literally even showed this in the OP.
All you have to do is tilt your camera, the fact that he left his overlay there when doing it was extremly bad faith, it's really not that hard to see if you don't have a literal overlay with a darkened background and a bunch of words/pop ups hovering over it. The only stuff you could see that you couldn't see in native required such an incredibly specific angle/distance from the loop, it's such a massive over reaction to how much of an advantage it really provides.
Yeah, everyone who tries to claim that stretched gives you a massive advantage always have their camera glued to the floor lol. There are much bigger issues BHVR should be worrying about. Stretched is basically a non-issue.
-
Yeah, honestly I don't know why they did that.

I myself and many others have made threads expressing our desire to see Old Freddy return, yet Behavior seems hellbent on not bringing him back even though they still have his assets available.
My theory is that they just don't want to admit they messed up his rework.
Yeah, it's a shame he isn't in the game. I still have a small amount of hope he'll come back eventually, maybe with the next wave of Freddy changes (when they eventually come). I miss him a lot.
-
I'd love this. It'd make it a lot better in soloq.

there is a counter to tinkerer, it’s called spine chill.
Spine Chill does not counter the info provided by Tinkerer, which is the most problematic part of the perk.
-
We're complaining about survivors being able to dodge a power now? Ok, cool.
-
Can confirm, this bug still exists and happened to me.
None of my teammates could interact with me, but the killer could still pick me up.
Thank you to that one Deathslinger for letting me go.

I had not gotten that far. The intention was three colors, and some way to fit in a juggling animation. But discussions with other designers and the UI team indicated three was going to cause interface complexity issues. So that was dropped before I had designed what the different bottles would do.
I'm very happy with how it turned out in the end. The various other developers (programming, UI, VFX, audio, QA I hope I didn't miss anyone) involved in the implementation did a great job!
Seeing the Clown juggle the bottles in the trial would've been really funny. I can understand how 3 bottles would cause issues though, that'd be a nightmare to switch between.

@Donnsean said:
Farmer John trialled it in his stream last night. 3 people all with prove thyself took 28 seconds to do a gen. Again but not sure if that is actually faster than its supposed to be. It looked very quick
Yeah, that's how fast it's supposed to be. Here's the stats of the perk from the DBD Wiki page.
-
I want Goblin Quentin back as an alternative cosmetic.

Yeah, probably a coincidence. Maybe a little confirmation bias too.

We asked almost if there was a reason for it... and he said.. YES... THERE IS A REASON...
Almo is simply doing a little trolling.

Nah, the thing that balances Hex perks is the fact that they can be removed from the game. Ruin is the best gen regression perk while it stands and Devour can win you the game just because it exists. Adding a debuff to cleansing any hex perk defeats the point of them and would make them too strong.

Activating Mettle of Man.

Killer camps one person, so just hide in a locker and escape? How do killers think this game works? While there are chances to get keys from chest it's a pretty low chance if not running plunderers, so you just have to hide for 8 minutes and hope your team dies? lmao. Also, say this hiding thing did work whats not to say the killer doesn't slug the 3rd survivor after two are dead and hunt you down? lol.
Survivor is so easy you just win if you hide in a locker, or something, lol.
Not to mention that the Leatherface is likely camping the basement, where one of the chests is, lol.
-
I mean, they're nice for getting Rookie Spirit activated quickly, but apart from that, they suck.
-
I'd use it on Legion if Oblivious didn't stop Feral Frenzy from tracking survivors.

@GoshJosh said:
Honestly, it was buffed for everything but keys. I despise this perk now more than I ever did.
Not to mention that the next midchapter patch will make keys with zero charges unable to open the hatch. It's a straight up buff at this point.

Does starting frenzy consume a token, though?
No, it does not.
-
It already has an activation sound.
-
Random Tripping? Sure, only if they add Meta Knight as a survivor and I get to Shuttle Loop the killer off the stage.
Terrible idea.

It already has a cooldown.

I just want to know general thoughts, this isnt a post about me complaining about it Im just curious peoples thoughts and attitudes towards those who do it.
Oh, my bad. There's been so many people complaining even while winning, it's hard to distinguish anymore. If someone quick switches a key on me, I usually just try my best to make sure the game doesn't get to 2 gens.
-
...you dealt with it.
They're all dead.
-
I don't think it was meant to be changed, it's a bug afaik.
-
I would honestly rather use Thrilling on most killers than BBQ. WGLF on the other hand, has a really strong anti-slugging effect, so maybe.
-
They've released a bunch of skins from previous rifts, though.
Most complete outfits up to the second one are on the store, and some community skins. (Feng's one and Clown's Mr. Puddles)

She's just moving the posts to the proper sections lol, it just creates a closed post in the first section it was posted in.
