Were they running Iridescent Button by any chance?
-
What other killer out there can vault pallets? Also those speedy hits are just so satisfying.
-
It's pretty fun, and catches survivors off guard when you use it. It could use a buff though, as it's pretty underwhelming.
-
Freddy got killed in Patch 3.1.0.
-
Counterforce really only has the upper hand if you're going after NOED, which isn't a guaranteed pick unless you're in a tournament or something. Detective's Hunch has way better info, hands down. Even if the killer doesn't have any Hex perks, it still shows you nearby generators and can prevent a 3 gen easily. Small Game is a better totem hunting perk than Counterforce, let alone Detective's Hunch.
-
I can guarantee you, 4 Sprint Bursts every game would be way more frustrating than 4 Dead Hards.
-
I don't think you have to put the blades down to trigger Main Event, just press left control while you have them up (and Main Event is charged) and it'll activate.
-
Unfortunately, yes, I want to use Deathbound on Hysteria on Legion, but the oblivious parts of the perk hurt them.

But do we need two purple add-ons that do basically the same exact thing? We only need one Vanity mirror or Scratched mirror effect. Just want to add a bit more variety to Myers add-ons by replacing the worse version of 2 sets of 2 very similar add-ons.
Vanity Mirror would be a good balance between chase and stealth, Myers would still be 115% (and have a lunge) while still having some aura reading. Scratched Mirror keeps Myers in Tier 1, which makes him really slow.

Judith's Tombstone isn't a strong addon, hell I'd argue it's actually worse than default Michael, and is far outclassed by Gravestone Piece. It adds 12 seconds to the stalk timer, has a small kill range, and slows you by a whopping 9% movement. Michael already gets harassed by strong groups, and the super slow mobility of him with tombstone means that you're probably not going to get any kills with it unless you have Fragrant Lock of Hair, which also adds an additional 12 sec of stalk. (keep in mind each survivor only has roughly 10.1 stalk inside them)
I mean, yeah, Tombstone is worse than Tombstone Piece, but that's because Tombstone Piece is one of the most overpowered addons in the game.
-
Vanity Mirror would be fine if it didn't have a speed penalty. Tombstone is completely fine as-is, the downsides are well worth being able to instakill people in Tier 3 (and besides, we need something for the Evil Incarnate achievement).
-
No, the chase ends when you down them. Use Agitation if you want to increase your Terror Radius when picking someone up.

and if i dont have distortion i just shouldnt run it ?
You could run it if you really wanted to, there's just perks that keep track of the killer or their perks better. I'd go with Spine Chill or Alert (for tracking) or Distortion (for perk info).
-
It's not really that good. The info it gives if you're the obsession isn't worth the amount of times it can screw you over by making stealth plays a lot harder. Just run Distortion, it only has 3 tokens, but that's usually enough to figure out all of the killer's aura perks while actively countering them.
-
Do you have a twitter page or something I can follow to see more of your art? I love it :D
-
Hope she's not good, or die.
-
Yes, even if there are no other injured survivors, Hysteria will proc on the one you just hit.
-
How long ago was it that they acknowledged that Hillbilly's animations were broken? It's gotta be coming up to a year now at least, right?
-
I'm sure @TheClownIsKing would be happy to give their take as the only Sole Survivor user in the world.
-
You do realise that bodyblocking to save a teammate is fine, right? The only time it would be bannable is if a killer or another survivor were to trap a survivor in a spot that they can't leave, and keep them there for an extended period of time.
Protection hits are a part of the game, hell, there's even perks designed around them. They are FAR from bannable. Quit wasting support's time and only report people for actual bannable offenses.
-
Nah, Hex Perks should always be at least decently easy to find, that's the risk of bringing them.

I disagree, The perfect map imo for totems is Lerys.
In Lerys, the totems that are in the open are incased/ in boxes which makes them hidden and harder to find. All obvious totem spots should be like this as their is an increasing perk trend for finding totems.
Hex Totem should be hidden while Dull totems can stay in the open.
Having every totem spot like Lerys would be unfair, especially with perks like Devour Hope, which literally win you the game if they're not found.
Besides, we have Hex: Undying and Hex: Thrill of the Hunt to lessen the risk of losing Hex totems early.

I've played against @ReverseVelocity a couple of times, but the time I remember vividly they were playing Frank's Mixtape and even though I got hatch I was getting so many flashbacks to old Legion that I think I needed therapy after.
(btw if you've ever faced "I'm Karu :)", "Pope of the Donkerydoo", or "[PFG] David" that'd be me. What does PFG stand for? Well my bf wants it to be Pride Flag Gang but in going for Pretty ######### Gay)
Frank's Mix Tape, my beloved. I will down everyone... eventually.
I can't even begin to imagine how many Legion PTSD cases I've triggered using that addon (sorry :P). It's so terrible, yet so fun, especially when people have absolutely no idea that you can still down people with Frenzy.
Maybe one day it will be good again...
(oh, and we should totally SWF sometime, maybe after I finish my break from the game, I'm a bit sick of it atm :P)
-
No.
-
Honestly, this problem would be solved by letting survivors see each other's perks in the lobby.
-
That terrible, terrible Storehouse Window.
-
Did you just install the game or something? Billy already sucks pretty bad ever since his addons got gutted. You really want to remove the last fun thing about his power lol. Curving is pretty easy to counter, and it's the highest skill part of his power.
Get good.
-
I think it's going to be a killer from Resident Evil, just a guess, though.
-
I think it should hide blood permanently, with only the scratch mark effect being on a timer. Maybe bump up the timer to 60s as well, 45s is a little too short.

Is it bad that I actually agree with Sluzzy here that Tinkerer + Ruin needs a serious, serious change on high mobility killers, especially where solo survivors are concerned?
No, I agree with Sluzzy here as well, actually. Tinkerer by itself is pretty oppressive, but throw in Ruin, and it can become borderline impossible to get a single gen done while it's up if you're not in a 4 man, especially on high mobility killers.
Tinkerer is by far my least favourite perk in the game right now. Ruin, Undying and BBQ are all fine, but Tinkerer is a bit too overtuned imo, it needs a cooldown from being able to activate on the same generator multiple times.
-
What do you mean? I absolutely love having my chainsaw melt in my hands after 3 seconds while using Engravings!
A lot of his addons suck. The charge time addons hurt, they gave Spark Plug a requirement to activate and made Primer Bulb turn you into a 110% killer (which is pretty disastrous for a killer who can't use his power at a lot of loops). This is on top of increasing their rarities by two tiers each.
5 of his addons are related to overheat, which shouldn't even exist. One of which requires you to be blinded with a Flashlight to even give you any benefit. Another one requires you to be overheated to get any use out of it.
Iridescent Brick is pretty pointless without the Apex Muffler, Undetectable doesn't really mean that much when you need to use your loud chainsaw to activate it.
The Billy rework was pretty disappointing, to say the least. I still don't know why they decided to nerf him like this.
-
We need an addon that reverts Freddy back to his old version.

Look how old this post is!". I was like "...sounds this forum didn't really welcome with a new member huh? Maybe i should leave :)"
The irony of necroing a thread about necroposting.

Doc is great imo. They could tone down his screen effects for anyone who finds them annoying though
I think they're doing that with the midchapter update.

They don't want anyone to play Doom instead of Dead by Daylight, I guess.

Can we stop necroing month old threads where the discussion has already been done to death, please.
-
My guy, when are you going to stop malding at the idea of people playing with their friends and actually get good at the game?
-
That's almost certainly considered griefing.

DbD life sim game. No "Killers" or "Survivors", just whacky slice-of-life antics. Watch Oni fail at baking a quiche for Claudette's birthday. Wraith and David fishing on the lake. The biggest issues are interpersonal dramas.

-
Local Clown main wonders why other killers hate a map filled with crazy safe pallets.
-
-You ready up a Huntress Hatchet from 32m away and hit the guy as soon as he's unhooked
-You stay 32m away as Wraith, returning and uncloaking immediately after the unhook and down the rescued survivor
-You somehow manage to catch up from 32m away as a 110% killer (lol) in under 12 seconds to go right after the unhooked survivor
-You chainsaw in with an instadown power and still go for the injured guy for some reason
-You stand 32m away from the hook as Nurse and use both your blinks to immediately go back to the hook
-You phase directly back to the hook like every Spirit main in existence
-You wait for the endgame to use a Corrupt Purge fountain, a double hitting ability and go directly after only the unhooked guy?
-You wait on a Demo portal until the unhook happens, immediately portaling back to the hook and downing the survivor
-You saved your power as Oni (ANOTHER instadown ability) and go after the injured, unhooked guy
-You rush immediately back to the hook as Blight, getting there in a few seconds
-You somehow walk all the way back to the hook and double hit with Punishment, all in under 12 seconds.
-You play Twins. Ever. (:P) No, but seriously, Victor can keep healthy people in the trial by grabbing them, why are you tunneling the injured guy?
These are all just straight up proxycamping or tunneling, not "skillful endgame actions".
BT not having a distance requirement will prevent killers from cheesing anti-camp and anti-tunnel mechanics, there are many killers that can close 32m of distance very quickly, or throw projectiles that do it for them. And besides, they're reducing the timer to compensate for this change.
@Seraphor said:
If it's EGC and you want to secure your kill, your only option is to camp. If you want to make sure your hooked survivor results in a kill, you need to prevent the rescue. That's always been the case, because Borrowed Time was always a risk, and it's the only acceptable camping scenario for most.
Even if it wasn't Borrowed Time, it would be DS. You can never bank on downing and rehooking the survivor that was just rescued, and you shouldn't, because those are all mechanics to prevent tunnelling.
Best you can hope for is a hook trade, and anyone going for a last minute rescue is accepting that as a possibility.
Like this person said, if it wasn't BT, it would be DS. Like I said on a similar thread of somebody complaining about anti-tunnel perks in the endgame: Tunneling is still tunneling, whether it's at 5 gens, or when the gates are powered. The perks are doing what they're designed to do.
If you care about getting a kill in the endgame, your best option is (and always has been) to try for hook trades. Survivors can sometimes get over-altruistic and you can snowball off of it.

"You can easily bypass dead hard" Thats not true, most of the times you can't unless the survivor is dumb enough to trigger it in the open. Also DH for distance, to reach a pallet or window can't be deal with unless you are a huntress.
BT cushion exposed status effect so you have to hit the survivor again, making rancor useless if the obsession is the one being unhooked. And you are wrong when you are saying that DS and BT saves only one survivor.. if every survivor run this perks wich is almost every match its 4 "get out of jail" cards not 1.
A btw going for the unhooker its not at option either since the survivor will BT and every other survivor left will tank all the hits and reach exit gates. And there nothing you can do about that. BT and DS in endgame are broken and are unfair just like keys, lets be honest.
My guy, they can't Dead Hard if they're healthy. Also, if you're running Rancor, you're not going to be hooking the obsession at the endgame.
DS isn't a get out of jail free card anymore, you have to be actively tunneling for it to activate now. You shouldn't be able to down someone off of the hook instantly and pick them up without consequence.
Survivors taking protection hits isn't unfair either, you already lost the game, they're just trying to make sure everyone gets out alive.
BT and DS are fine in the endgame, tunneling is still tunneling, regardless if it's at 5 gens or when the exit gates are powered.

Yea a perk that can kill only 1 survivor if you manage to pass his DH and BT. Nice of you pointing out here how different the devs treat killer and survivor perks. Rancor its not even close to the power a DS and BT have in endgame.
I mean, you can easily bypass Dead Hard and Borrowed Time with Rancor, considering that you one shot them, and you don't even have to hook them. And besides, DS and BT only save one survivor as well. Go after the unhooker instead.
-

That doesn't take away the fact that DS and BT are a free "get out of jail" card at the endgame. What would you think if the killer could instantly kill survivors in the EGC? Would you find that fair? because that would be the opposite of that scenario.
"What would you think if the killer could instantly kill survivors in the EGC?"
There's a perk for that, it's called Rancor.

Trickster literally only can tunnel, his entire mechanic is based on that. And it's not my fault if the other survivors don't want to stick around until the very end of the match to eat hits for their teammate.
And Decisive Strike's entire mechanic is based on stopping tunneling, that's the point of the perk. Trickster can do fine without tunneling people. He's a pretty good proxycamper, so I can see why tunneling would be appealing with him, but you played with fire and got burnt.
-
Have you tried not tunneling?
-
Freddy was a fun and interesting killer, who could be pretty strong in the right hands. He was the most unique killer out of the entire roster. Instead of undoing the early panic nerf from release, they just deleted him from the game.
Give us an option to play him again, please.
